Laura was great at communication and was very helpful in the choice of flowers to use….but at the end of the day it’s about the work. I was not happy about the quality of the flowe...
rs. All of the roses used looked a week old. Some of the roses were a weird brown color. I’ve never seen white roses that look coffee stained. Not attractive at all. Working out of the garage with little refrigeration might be the culprit. Prices were competitive so no break there.
The floral arrangements at our Monterey wedding venue were absolutely breathtaking. The color combinations were perfectly chosen to complement the natural beauty of the location. S...
oft pastels blended with vibrant accents created an elegant atmosphere throughout the space. Each area—from the ceremony backdrop to the reception tables—felt thoughtfully designed, adding warmth and sophistication without overwhelming the venue’s charm. The flowers truly elevated the entire experience and tied all the elements together beautifully. Highly recommend this florist for anyone seeking artistry and attention to detail. I will add excellent customer made a difference.
I can’t say enough good things about this florist! I sent over a few inspo photos, and what she created was even more beautiful than I imagined. She truly brought my floral dreams ...
to life and went above and beyond in every detail. Absolutely stunning work!
We love Laura Sweeley! Sweeley's Design Shop was a recommendation from our amazing coordinator, and we are SO happy we went with her. Laura's work had us both stunned the moment we...
arrived at the venue, and neither us nor our guests and even our vendors could stop talking about it!
We wanted a LOT of emphasis on greenery for our wedding, leaning in to a whimsical/woodsy look. We didn't want a ton of flowers, only carefully placed for emphasis or pops of color. Laura immediately understood what we were going for and worked with us to deliver everything we wanted and MORE on our wedding day. My wife wore a gorgeous boutonniere, and I was honored to carry the most beautiful bouquet I've seen in my life!! She has such an incredible eye, and used our inspiration photos to create art that was beyond what we even believed they could be. Everything was fresh, smelled incredible, and perfectly accented every aspect of our wedding day. From the planning process, to ceremony to reception, Laura impressed us at every turn. She is also incredibly sweet, easy to work with, flexible and fair. We LOVED working with her, and are preserving as many of her beautiful flowers as we can to keep with us forever. Thank you for making such magic on our wedding day!!! :)
Laura did an amazing job with our reception florals. She is so accommodating and easy to work with as well. We gave her some inspiration photos and she was able to bring my vision ...
to life. When my vision shifted during the planning process, she was extremely flexible and executed flawlessly. Our head table garland was truly breathtaking we received so many compliments from our guests. She is communicative, talented, and provides the greatest value of any florist I could find in the area. I highly recommend using Laura for your wedding florals!
Laura did such an amazing job on our wedding flowers! We asked for this very simple look and feel with lots of greenery, as our wedding color was dusty sage. She did an amazing job...
from the cascading bridal bouquet to the table and lantern garlands. It was unbelievable as our budget was very limited. However, Laura worked with us to make our big day flower dreams come true! We are so thankful we booked with her!

My wedding was in August 2019, I've finally had a chance to give Laura the credit she so absolutely deserves. My bouquet was gorgeous, the flowers were stunning. To this day, ...
people bring up to me how beautiful my flowers were at my wedding.
She was so pleasant and refreshing to work with. It was such a relief to work with someone with such quality, dependability and professionalism.
My bridesmaids still rave about their bouquets! I'm so grateful for her craftsmanship and her set-up. My wedding was beautiful, my guests remember the flowers 10 months later. :)
Laura made such beautiful flowers for my beach wedding. I sent her photos of bouquets, boutonnières, table flower arrangements, and the arch and she recreated it and made it even ...
more beautiful. Her prices were very reasonable compared to the other flower shops I contacted, and she found locally grown flowers, which was nice. It was a pleasure to work with her and I would highly recommend her.
Laura did an outstanding job on our wedding. She went above an beyond and provided the exact floral look we wanted. She is a true artist. She made things very easy in planning and ...
I had seen her work in other wedding so I knew I could trust her creativity. Her attention to detail was amazing. She made our wedding day so very special. I highly recommend Laura Sweeley!!!
Laura Sweely works from her home in Santa Cruz and is familiar with many venues in the area. She is quite patient and flexible as she never lost her temper with me despite changin...
g my order multiple times.
Mrs. Sweely came to my venue and personally set up all the floral arrangements and decorations which was a blessing for this stressed out bride.
My only word of advice is not to be too laid back when describing what you want for your special day. Make sure you specify exact flower types and look you want. I expressed I wanted a tropical sunset look theme for my wedding which did not happen. The sunset colors were provided but not necessairly a tropical look. However, if I specified exact flowers to use, she would have pulled it off no problem.
I would highly recommend Laura Sweely for anyone's floral needs.
I will confess, I knew nothing about flowers when I started planning my wedding.
When I contacted Laura about doing the flowers for our wedding, she was very responsive. She set...
up a phone meeting where she talked me through all of my options and also helped me figure out what I wanted in my bouquet, taking my fuzzy vision into a clear picture.
The flowers were delivered on time and were gorgeous! And the value is amazing!!! I can't think of when I might need flower arrangements again but if I do, I will be calling Laura!
Laura was very professional and efficient. She was extremely good at figuring out what I wanted when I could barely figure it out myself, and she was able to work within my budget...
.
The flower arrangements were so absolutely beautiful that my guests wanted to take them home! I got tons of compliments on the unique and gorgeous ceremony setup. The bridesmaids' bouquets were exactly what I wanted and my bouquet was fantastic! I was thrilled. It's a shame that flowers can't live forever because I wanted to keep my bouquet!
Laura also was very good at getting what information she needed from me without being imposing or making herself a time-consuming nuisance. I met with her one time, talked to the phone with her once, and had a few emails back and forth... and most of that was just because I was being indecisive. I didn't even see her on the wedding day but she had everything perfectly arranged when I finally got to the site.
I would recommend her for any function that anyone would have that would require a florist. She was worth every penny... actually she was worth so much more since she was priced well below all the other florists I contacted.
Laura did a great job on my flower arrangements! They were just like I wanted them. She is very flexible and reasonable and does an absolutely amazing job!! I would definitely use ...

he helped me come up with, an idea, of what I wanted. She has so much knowledge of flowers and greenery and colors that would look nice, it was very helpful to be able to as questions and find new flowers I'd never even heard of. I felt very comfortable just picking out some of the flowers I wanted, and leaving the rest up to her on how everything would come together.
Shortly after we met, she e-mailed me an excel spreadsheet of the flowers I had chosen and descriptions that helped me remember what I picked along with the pricing.
On the day of the wedding, she showed up to the room I was getting ready in with the case of the personal flowers, and before I knew it, I was going down to take pictures under the beautiful gazebo covered in the flowers I had chosen. Everything looked awesome, she was very nice, and she was able to help me accommodate my budget.
Highly recommended! I would use her again for anything else I need flowers for, in a heartbeat!
Laura is amazing! I took some floristry classes in high school and ever since then I love flowers and consider floristry my hobby. I knew she would do a great job, but Wow! When sh...
e handed me my bouquet I was over the moon, I wanted to cry and I had a smile form ear to ear and that was just for the bouquet. LOL!
Everything was amazing, from the ceremony to the receptions. Just wow! She is very talented! Highly, Highly recommend! Very amazing prices as well, and at least in my mind I had a lot of flowers. The flowers helped make my wedding look more expensive than it really was!
