Shannon and Lauren did the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mom, mother-in-law, and myself for my wedding in September. They were wonderful to work with! They were super flexible with me when scheduling my trial and even came to my house to do it, which was so convenient. The day of my wedding, they were on-time and ahead of schedule, which ensured that everything went stress free. Plus, they are both just fun to be around, which made getting ready an even better time! I loved how my hair and make up look came together on my wedding day and I can't thank Shannon and Lauren enough for making it happen!

Shannon was the makeup artist for my wedding. I spoke to her by phone to get more information on her experience and see if she was available. Her professionalism and experience were impressive! One of my bridesmaids was concerned about her dark complexion and recent acne. I didn’t think you could cover up the dark spots; however, I was wrong. It was impressive and everyone looked a beautiful which included the bridesmaids, mother of the bride and me. Thank you!

I was in a pinch after none of the makeup artists recommended by my salon would call me back (except for the one waaay out of budget). Shannon always responded promptly to our correspondence, and I booked her on the spot when she checked back in with me to see if I was still considering her. We were planning the wedding from out of town, so prompt replies were a godsend! She was able to come to the salon I had already booked and do makeup. My frugally-minded bridesmaids liked that she had less expensive a-la-carte options. I typically don't wear makeup, and she was willing to work with my style and hesitations - she did a stunning job! My schedule didn't allow me to do a trial beforehand, but that didn't matter since she did so well the day-of and was willing to tweak anything to perfection. The salon's wedding coordinator was also a fan of her work. I'd recommend Shannon to any St. Louis brides looking for makeup!

This weekend Shannon and Lauren came to my hotel to do hair and makeup for my wedding. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. I looked like a glamorous movie-star version of myself and was told multiple times that I looked stunning (it was all thanks to Shannon!) I'd even asked if she could touch up my brows because of an unfortunate uneven waxing experience, and once she was done, my brows were perfectly even and filled in. All my girls' hairstyles were elegant and done with very detailed work thanks to Lauren. Two other girls got their makeup done, and everyone opted for false eyelashes. I'm so glad they did! Each of our best features were enhanced and the bridal party was gorgeous!

I don't remember how I stumbled upon Shannon and Your Beauty Ball, but I am so glad that I did! I initially met with Shannon in March for my engagement photos and was really happy with how my hair and make up turned out. For my wedding day it was me and my 5 bridesmaids and everyone looked so beautiful! Since there were 6 of us, she brought someone else for hair (can't believe that I'm blanking on her name right now- sorry!) who was also great to work with. She was super patient with me when doing my hair and it turned out great. She was even able to do a fun up do for one of my bridesmaids with short hair which she loved. Everyone was really happy with their make up, one of my bridesmaids said she wanted to have Shannon to do her make up everyday. I can't wait to see how the pictures because I know we all looked gorgeous. Thank you so much Shannon!

I have always done my own makeup well. I stay up on trends and feel like I know many tricks (not just from Pinterest) and have a decent understanding for how to make myself look good. I never thought I would find someone ELSE who could actually do it BETTER--especially after being a bridesmaid 9 times and hating my makeup each and every time. On my 10th duty as bridesmaid, Shannon did my makeup. She took the time before starting to get a feel for what I like and what I wanted--even what shade my dress was. She was attentive and made me feel like I was in good hands, staying calm and collected while I rambled (maybe micromanaged) never rushing me. The end result was GORGEOUS makeup and a happy bridesmaid! She even covered up a terrible blemish that I had totally lost hope on and sent me away with tips on how to touch up the spot if necessary throughout the day. Though I was prepared--I never needed to reapply. When it came time to book for my own wedding, she was the first call I made. Shannon recently did my makeup for our engagement photos. She was easy to get a hold of and when I rescheduled my pictures the DAY BEFORE (due to weather) she rearranged her schedule and made it work. She made me feel like a priority and not a bother. That day, she couldn't wait to hear the details--where we were going, what I was wearing, etc. This time around I put my faith in her and went in with an open mind. She explained what she had in mind before starting and SURPASSED my expectations. The airbrush foundation, the perfectly positioned false eyelashes--the makeup was flawless. She made me feel like a celebrity and gave me the confidence I was lacking. She has such a great understanding for how to accentuate facial features and what kind of makeup is necessary for different lighting and I have beautiful engagement pictures to prove it! I would have never thought to use colors in the way that she did--she is a true artist! I somehow still looked natural, not overdone--just enhanced! Many friends have commented on the close ups from that shoot asking who did my makeup (shocked that I would let someone else do it) but very impressed! One friend called to make sure I have Shannon booked for my wedding because she was so blown away! The only downfall is, now I am officially ADDICTED to having Shannon do my makeup. I don't even have New Years Eve plans but may have to book her for makeup anyway! She is the whole package, making you feel like a star...and for a very reasonable price! I'm so thankful I finally found a makeup artist who truly cares and knows what she is doing! I cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve for my upcoming wedding day!

Lauren and Shannon did hair and makeup for my wedding a couple weeks ago and they did an AMAZING job with everyone!!!! They were so much fun to work with and really helped me feel relaxed and excited to be getting ready for my big day. I liked that they came to us, so I didn't have to worry about spending the day of my wedding at a salon. They did such a great job, their work is nothing short of professional! Later at my wedding whenever someone would say I looked beautiful, all I could respond with is "you know, I FEEL beautiful". Lauren & Shannon helped me feel like a princess on my wedding day with the amazing look they gave me. It was more than I could have ever imagined on my wedding day! I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone wanting high quality service and a positive experience!

I hired Shannon as my makeup artist for my wedding and she has been great! We had a trial run a month or so ago and I could not have been happier. She listened to my input and made me feel very comfortable. The airbrush makeup she uses is amazing and she uses high quality products. She is very talented and I highly recommend her! She is also incredibly professional and has made the whole process run very smoothly. She responds quickly and answers all of my questions. I am planning from out of town and she has been very accommodating with my crazy schedule. I loved the way things turned out and can't wait for the wedding!

I am using Shannon for my wedding October 12, 2013. I have only been for a trial with her, but she was AMAZING. I've had my makeup done a few times which have always been great. However, with Shannon this is the first time I feel like I showed pictures and it turned out exactly if not better than what I imagined. She gave me tips for my skincare and also provided options for makeup that I was unaware were available such as different types of lashes. Her technical skill is wonderful and I can't wait for my actual wedding day makeup.

I've known Shannon for years & when she decided to start her own company I was more than happy to use her! She is so professional & friendly at the same time. She arrived early & was ready to go before everyone else! She did my hair and makeup exactly as we discussed and I couldn't have been happier. It was the most gorgeous I've ever looked. I had my makeup (and some of my bridesmaids makeup) done by Your Beauty Ball and it was perfect. I don't know how to do makeup and I was nervous about getting it done but it was so easy and nice to have someone else do it. Shannon Ball is amazing-both as a person and as an artist. She truly has a gift for enhancing one's natural beauty and most certainly made me ready for my close-up for my engagement pictures and my wedding day! Not only do Shannon's skills in both hair and makeup make her outstanding, but she is incredibly fun and easy to work with. She joined us on location for my wedding and did my hair and makeup as well as the makeup for my bridesmaids (she traveled with an associate who did my bridesmaids' hair due to the number of people in my party). My friends loved getting to know her and were thrilled with their hair and makeup. She was more than willing to look at the inspiration pictures they brought and gave each the look they were hoping for. As for me, I met with Shannon previously to do a hair and makeup trial. Shannon was incredibly flexible with scheduling and actualized my vision for both hair and makeup. Our hair and makeup looked flawless for photos, ceremony, dinner and dancing.

Shannon did an amazing job. She meet with me a few weeks before my wedding to go over what I wanted and then during the day of she did exactly how I wanted. She arrived to our location on time and transforms into a beautiful bride.

Shannon did a GREAT job on my hair and makeup!!! My makeup lasted all day with great coverage!!! My hair only needed a few touchups mostly because my bangs were too short by my own fault. Shannon did one of my bridesmaid's makeup too and it looked awesome as well!

Shannon does a GREAT job at makeup! She always makes me look so pretty and for my wedding I even decided to try using fake eyelashes and they looked GORGEOUS without looking fake.

Shannon did a wonderful job on my makeup and it lasted the whole day despite an outdoor wedding in 103 degree temperatures. She was friendly and super attentive. The only drawback was that we didn't have enough time to have her meet up and do my mother-in-law and sister-in-law's makeup.

Shannon is extremely talented and the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet!! I used Your Beauty Ball for my wedding (along with my maid of honor and my mother) and Shannon had us ALL looking stunning! Even with a rainy morning followed by St. Louis summer humidity the entire rest of the day, my makeup still looked exactly like it did when she first applied it at 11am through the end of the night! I have oily skin and was worried about looking greasy, but Shannon controlled the shine and had me covered using top of the line makeup products that is so light you can barely feel it, but when you look in the mirror, you feel FABULOUS! I had so many compliments saying how gorgeous my makeup was and it never needed to be touched up at all! I also wore fake eyelashes without ever trying them until the morning of my wedding for the very first time and she applied them on so well that I couldn’t feel them on me (I loved them!), and really made my eyes stand out, especially in photos! Shannon is also very dependable and easy to get a hold of throughout the entire process. She will do any specific “look” or colors you want to make you a beautiful happy gal, she’ll calm your nerves, make you feel incredibly comfortable, and is very personable and professional! Hands down, Shannon (Your Beauty Ball) are amazing and I highly recommended her for weddings, events, photo shoots, etc, and you will be very pleased!

Shannon, did amazing work for me on my wedding makeup, full service. From making sure I was comfortable and relaxed, to making sure I looked absolutely stunning she did it all. The products she used were top of the line and had me looking and feeling great from 9 am to midnight! She also used fake lashes on me which I was a bit hesitant but turns out she knew just what she was doing for the photos couldn't of been better from a flawless face to eyes that POPPED! I would highly recommend her for your wedding, wedding party, and mothers!
