If we could give 6 stars we would! Plaza catering was AMAZING! They were extremely easy to work with and always super quick with communication. The number one thing that guests raved about at our wedding was the food and how delicious it was! People could not believe that it was buffet food. The appetizers, salad, main course, sides, and mini desserts were so stinking good. We cannot recommend Plaza enough!!!

The couple also did a taste testing which they really enjoyed and it allowed them to make a few minor adjustments. The servers were professional and efficient. He made sure we left happy and full, and had us rate what we'd eaten so we could come back for another round of tastings with improvements, on the house! He wanted to make sure everything was perfect. They even worked with us on dishes and non-alcoholic drinks that were specific to the Gatsby era. I’m gluten free and lactose intolerant. When we went into our tasting, I had completely forgotten my medicine to have dairy. They quickly made me up the dishes without any dairy on them! And I didn’t get sick from anything (they are amazing with dietary restrictions).
They dressed in attire to match our wedding, we all super nice and professional, and the food was just as amazing at the wedding as it was at the tasting. We had family style, so everyone was able to have extra and everyone loved the interactive family style.
We had a couple hiccups. I totally forgot to tell them where the kids and vegetarians were for their specific meals. But plaza took care of it without even worrying me about it. We also had an issue with getting ahold of them a couple of times before the wedding. It wasn’t a huge deal and was resolved fairly quickly. And lastly, we ended up with one item that we had requested not to have the week prior. Not a huge deal!
Plaza Catering gave us the amazing experience that we wanted from a caterer. Amazing food, amazing staff and insanely reliable. It was literally the best food that I have ever had at a wedding!

The day before the wedding there was a mix-up of linens (there were a few black ones when we wanted all white); they remedied this right away and I didn't even have to worry about it! wonderful. Rolfe went above and beyond providing more samples than we had asked for and he was there in person and sat down with us to discuss options and what would work best for us. We were instantly impressed with their hospitality and willingness to get to know us and what we envisioned for our big day. Rofle was also very helpful with my (very many) questions and changes and even accomodated meals for a couple of our vegan guests. Little details from cutlery to linens were also offered and he went above and beyond to accomodate us. We receieved so many compliments from guests about how tasty and hot the food was. Definitely recommend!

would often not return my emails and it took several attempts to reach anyone. I had to send 3 emails, leave 2 voicemails, and have 3 different wedding party members attempt to reach staff over a 2 week of period before I could get ahold of the caterer to confirm head count and details. They also did not follow through on their promises. For example, they instructed us that they would set aside an entire tray of appetizers and serve them to the wedding party in the chapel of the event space, however it took the mother of the bride to enter the kitchen to request such before anyone thought to do so. At this time in the evening, the appetizers were almost gone. Also, the mother of the bride repeatedly had to go into the kitchen to inquire into food status as it would take extended periods of time before servers would come with refilled trays. Also, the caterer promised to send over a new invoice after completing final head count and payment, however I am still waiting for this email. It saddens me that the communication and leadership was so poor, as the food was truly great and guests enjoyed it. I would recommend them for their food but just know you’ll need to stay on top of them for the specifics, as service was poor.

ecause it's a huge part of the evening and so hard to find a caterer that can deliver great food for so many people.
(we have found it uncommon for wedding reception food to be really delicious and memorable.) From the first minute we met Jenn, I had no doubt that she was someone we could count on and also a professional at what she does. (& someone we would want to be friends with after the event was long over!) The food at our tasting was great, but we still had our doubts if they could duplicate that for our 200 guests off site. We were so thrilled when we sat down to dinner at our reception and it was just as good if not better than when only 4 of us tasted it months ago. Many, many of our guests were extremely complimentary and frankly shocked that wedding food could be so good. They were sending us pictures of the food etc.... all night with various captions relating their approval. So fun! Not only was the food amazing, but Jenn also offered to order and pick up our special request of Krispy Kreme donuts for the reception and included all of the bride & groom's special touches that made the meal feel more personal. We will definitely be using Jenn and Plaza Catering again even if we have to come up with an event just for that purpose. They created and executed a meal that went far and above any expectations we had & delivered it with professionalism and ease. Plaza Catering was a huge part of having our daughter's wedding day turn out to be exactly the one we had dreamed of.

they were fantastic! We worked primarily with Jenn, who was wonderful! At the tastings, they brought us food we hadn't requested but which they highly recommended (rightfully so!). At the end of each of the two tastings we did (we wanted to taste something they didn't have available the first night), they boxed up the leftovers and sent them home with us! And somehow the food at the wedding was even better than what we had at the tasting. They were professional, easy to work with, kind, and thoughtful, and the food was fantastic!

We allowed people to have any two of the three:
Filet with mash
Stuffed chicken with rice
Trout with cous cous.
It was incredible. The way Rolfe handled the menu and my demanding family was fantastic. I just can’t say enough good stuff about Rolfe or the catering.
We even let people choose how they wanted their steak cooked. I can’t imagine how much coordination it took to feed over 200 people with three possible combinations (not to mention veggie/gf/vegan options) and getting to choose how to cook the meat.

n was always quick and never pushy. We had some left over food, but not a lot, it was the perfect amount. One of the caterers walked through the buffet with me and made my plate. They were extremely nice and professional, everything was perfect!

ire menu that was dairy free and for the most part gluten free as well! Rolfe was great to work with! Every time we went to meet with him, he knew us, which to me was a big deal! As the bride, it was also nice to have the staff serve me personally so as not to get my dress messy with food. They showed up a few hours prior to the reception and stayed until the end of the night. That was a pleasant surprise.

cess. The day of the wedding we had the Italian feast. We chose the Chicken Spiedini, penne pasta, meatballs etc.and passed appetizers during the flip. The food was delicious and we had many compliments. One man said it was the best buffet he had ever had at a wedding. The servers were very nice and seemed to convey that they enjoyed their job. I recommend Plaza Catering for weddings since they do such a good job

I was not expecting to like Plaza Catering, but I had had another caterer back out on me so I gave them a shot. I was expecting to go to the tasting and just be able to cross them ...
off of the list and move on to other potential caterers. But we walked in and Jennifer blew us away! We were so impressed with the food and service that we booked them that night. We also came back to book our rehearsal dinner with them as well.
They delivered exactly as we expected and made sure that we had our to go meal as well as giving us all of the leftovers even when we were not expecting them. their servers were great - helped bride and groom through the line so that we wouldn't get food on my dress and did a great job with cutting and serving the cake.

Finding a Caterer on my budget was a huge challenge. I figured I would have to go with a "cheap" option like HyVee or another grocery store. I'm SOOOO glad I found Plaza Catering! ...
Not only did they completely work with my modest budget, but they beyond exceeded expectations! I came to our tasting very cautious and left beyond thrilled! Chef Rolfe was incredible!!! He did a tasting not only for me and my mom but also for my whole family (both sets of parents + plus bride and groom). He also let me change up the menu options and made me a dish to try out on the spot! His enthusiasm was infectious and he made the whole process incredibly fun. The pricing was phenomenal and even included a couple of appetizers. There was also no unexpected fees (unlike some horror stories I'd heard). They also took care of the cake and cutting. They also have a great reputation as Caterers and our venue was thrilled to work with them. And the staff the day of the wedding were a total delight! We felt like a King and Queen and our guests loved the food! Especially the chicken spiedini. We'd loved eating the left overs on our honeymoon! I can't say enough good things about Plaza Catering.

kind of slacking so I called the restaurant and they connected me with Jenn.
Jenn was great at putting together a custom Italian feast for 95 adults and 25 kids. Every part of our menu was delicious. One of my sisters ate the kids' Macaroni and Cheese, she said it was the best she'd ever had. Our attendant made my plate and brought it to my table. He was the sweetest! Plaza Catering will forever be my first choice. Our families enjoyed the food and we got many compliments and questions on who catered.
Thank you everyone at Plaza Catering for making our first meal as husband and wife incredible.
