ief and informational call about the packages they offer and what I wanted for the wedding, we ended up choosing the Blue 2.0 package. I was not too sure about the videography option, but if you're on the fence, DO IT. My now-husband and I had a great engagement session and got to work with Matt, which helped us become more comfortable in front of the camera. After that, they provided an easy form to fill out that discusses what pictures you like with which family members/friends, your priorities, etc. The day of, the team of three were incredibly kind and professional. They made sure our pictures went smoothly but quickly, and we were even able to enjoy part of cocktail hour! We got full access to the beautiful photos a couple of weeks later, and it was so worth the wait. Our wedding video transported us back to that day, and it was so fun to see video of all our guests smiling and enjoying themselves, especially since the day flies by so fast. It was truly amazing to work with Matt and the entire Blueflash team. With variety of photo packages/ a la carte options to choose from, you will have incredible photo and/or video within your budget!

Overpriced for what we got. We liked Matt's style from photos on his website, and our engagement shoot was nice. But we were left with not a great selection of photos and a horrib...
le video. The drone coverage that we paid for was nothing to be excited about. It was barely included in our video! While some of our photos were nice, a lot of key moments were missed. The biggest one was a missed opportunity to photograph all seven of us (blended family). This is awful, because NOT ONE photo exists of our nuclear family. There are also virtually no close ups of us at our ceremony or at our reception. We were very disappointed in the amount of photos of objects verses people. But the worst was when our video came back 3 minutes shorter than average, completely discolored, and void of all key moments including our vows and speeches. We asked for a redo and it was not much better. A couple of minutes added but the coloring was the same...not many more scenes and none of the speeches or vows, even though we expressed that. We found the personalities of the photographers were good, but the communication was terrible. I told the photographers that I wanted them to be artistic and less formal, but that didn't mean don't capture it all or not ask us about certain photographs at the time. Also, we were dumbfounded that no photos of our wedding went on their social media, and none exist of same sex couples (that was important to us for representation). We thought that was an oversight, but after our experience it left us wondering. We should have been more diligent in our search, but we liked Matt so we went with him. It's just too bad because we can't get that day back, and we have already tried asking to fix our video.now we will have to take the raw footage to a professional and have a new one made (and spend more money). That said, other couples that we know are getting married were told NOT to go with Blueflash when we were asked.

t I'm hearing any of this. I wish this would have been conveyed earlier on so I would have been aware. Last I heard regarding the photos from you was "Thank you so much, Matt! The photos are absolutely beautiful!! You and your team are so talented. Can't wait to see the video!" in an email on Aug 8, 2022 after delivery so I was under the impression you were happy with the photos.
You had expressed your opinions on the video (i.e. the length, coloring, etc) and so we went back, re-edited the video, added over two minutes in length as well as specific scenes you requested, and delivered that on Aug 30th which was only 8 days after the initial video delivery. We also edited and delivered a documentary cut of a special song that was sung as requested. We never heard back from you after we delivered the revised video so I was left to assume you were satisfied with it. If you were not, I would have been happy to rework it further to your satisfaction but we weren't given that opportunity. This review (May 9th, 2023) is the first I've heard from you since we delivered that (August 30th, 2022).
I know nothing said here will change how you feel but I wanted to address, explain, and clarify some things:
- We were never provided the info sheet that we request from couples which is the document that specifies photo requests, family combinations, and so on. We asked for it on April 9th, April 20th, and July 4th. Since we did not have that we approached the wedding trying to be as thorough as possible and covering as comprehensively as we could.
- I have to respectively push back on the comment about communication being terrible. I recall checking in with you both numerous times, specifically during the family photo session because we did not have a shot list provided to us. I asked repeatedly if there any other family photos that you needed or wanted and it was confirmed all times that everything was covered. This was during the session in front of the Eisenhower House.
- Regarding the small amount of drone footage: We captured as much as we could, but the venue was quite hostile to drone flying. We actually did more than they wanted us to and got scolded for it because we were trying to make sure you got as much as possible. The venue was extremely difficult to work with on that front. We did, however, manage to also fly the drone to take an entire wedding guests group photo as requested in addition to still capturing video clips that got spliced into the highlight film.
- I'm not sure if your comment of not showing up on our social media feed is implying any ill will toward the LGBTQIA2S+ community, but it is certainly not the case that any of your photos not having made it into our feed yet means that. We are just extremely backed up with weddings to post and we don't always go in chronological order. One of your photos is part of a three photo collage that is used as the header in our client communication portal so it is actually very prominently featured and has been for over 6 months.
To reiterate, I am really sorry that you seem to now be unhappy with what you received (contrary to your response email affirming the opposite with the photos). We never want any of our clients to be dissatisfied and always go the extra mile necessary to deliver a positive experience. I'm even more bummed because I thought we connected great and had fun during the engagement session and the wedding, so it was even more surprising to see this review come through. Regardless, we wish you and Lindsay nothing but the very best in your lives together.

deo. I can't believe how fast they turned around the photos and video too - I think was only a couple weeks which I was not expecting! Neither my husband or I had previously taken professional pictures either and everyone on the team put us right at ease. We also weren't sure which songs/ what if anything we should request for the highlight video and they put the whole thing together just perfectly. We also got a bunch of extra footage from the day we didn't realize we'd get which was such a nice bonus! I can't speak more highly of this group and so thankful we had them for our special day. . Matt was INCREDIBLE to work with and prior to our wedding day he had us fill out multiple questionnaires to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. He was always quick to respond and willingly to help in anyway. Matt was our lead photographer and our day ran so smoothly. All of our desired shots were photographed and he was SO flexible, and patient especially with an (anxious) bride like me. We went to multiple locations in downtown Providence for photos and Matt and his assistant were always right there taking the most perfect shots. I recommend having 2 photographers so that all angles of the day can be photographed, this was important to my husband and I so that we could see it each other’s reactions as well as our guests . The turn around time for our photos was super quick and we loved all of them! Matt also helped me to design the most beautiful wedding album so that we can forever remember how perfect of a day. Blueflash is truly the best ever and captured all of the magical moments of our ‘Big Day!’

king down which type of photos were most important to us. By our wedding day Matt had seemingly committed our answers to memory and was able to recall our top priorities off the top of his head. This came in handy when, due to a small transportation issue, we had significantly less time for post-ceremony pictures at the church than we had planned for. Matt was able to, at the drop of a hat and in a very narrow amount of time, get everyone in our humongous wedding party on board and in order for photos of each family, wedding party photos, parent photos, etc. All day long, Matt and the team were just lovely to work with. Their professionalism kept us on time throughout the day and they had a calm, joyful vibe that positively contributed to our day. I am someone who is extremely critical of pictures of myself and often hate the way that pictures of me come out. After receiving our pictures back from Matt (in less than two weeks) I can honestly say there is not a single picture I don’t like. They are truly incredible and I am so overwhelmed with gratitude that we went with Blueflash for our wedding photography. The feeling of loving your own wedding photos is just priceless. After showing the photos to my parents my mom hit the nail on the head when she said, “They didn’t just take pictures, they captured the emotion.” My father echoed her sentiment, sharing, “They captured the whole spirit of the day.”

planned and then canceled the first go around. Both times, Blueflash was amazing to work with! For the larger event, we brought them around for a long day from 11AM-8PM, and our photographers Steven and Emily were fantastic! t happened. That epitomizes our experience with Matt and Blueflash Photography. They knew all of the angles, all of the perspectives, all of the moments to capture without us having to even think. A wedding day is gone in a flash (super bad with puns) and you want to enjoy every moment with your guests and not which poses to make for photographs.
We strongly considered going with some other alternative photographers who were, transparently, less expensive. We are really, really, really glad that we did not go in those directions. Every time we look at our photos we are transported back to those wonderful moments. Who wouldn't want to relive the best days of their lives?

we relocated our venue from Rhode Island to Boston and Emily made the drive out to shoot our wedding. We really got to know Emily during our engagement shoot and are thankful Matt was able to move things around so she could shoot our new date - this is something Matt did without us even having to ask how we could have Emily be a part of our wedding, as she was booked on another wedding. Emily made our wedding - she’s so kind, calm, talented and felt like part of the wedding party by the end of the day. Matt is so organized and timely - I never had to worry about anything falling through the cracks. I honestly could write a novel about Blueflash! If they’re available on your date BOOK. I work in the fashion industry and can be picky about…. everything. I didn’t have to give any direct, Blueflash just gets it and are GOOD PEOPLE.

rom start to finish. The pictures were fantastic! Fast forward two years through a pandemic and postponed wedding, Matt and Rebecca showed up to our new wedding date and made it an absolute blast. From getting ready, to first look, ceremony, family photos, and partying… Matt and Rebecca made us feel like celebrities, relieved boatloads of our stresses, and added tons of fun to our day.
We never realized how big of a role the photographer plays in keeping the day on track and making sure the bride and groom make it to where they need to be, but Matt and Rebecca did a fantastic job keeping us all on track. The entire wedding party was raving at how great the photographers were at being so present and so supportive, but never in the way.
Aside from how great of people they are to hang out with, Matt and Rebecca obviously have a great eye for photography. They were both out scouting our venue grounds finding amazing spots to shoot. We absolutely love our wedding album and could not believe how quickly and professionally it was delivered. We can’t wait to have another reason to call Blueflash!

Matt quickly responded to my emails and scheduled a zoom meeting so we could chat face to face, even though we weren’t even sure I’d be able to have a wedding because of the pandemic. He was incredibly accommodating and kind during a stressful time, where all my wedding plans had essentially gone out the window. Luckily, the wedding did happen (albeit a little different than I had originally planned). On the day of my wedding, Emily and Steve were better than anyone I could have hoped for. Not only are they incredibly talented and had amazing ideas for truly beautiful photos, but they were so calm, professional, and are just generally nice people. They instantly picked up on who to photograph more, and what kinds of photos I wanted. The photos were PERFECT, beautiful, and most importantly, really captured the totality of the day. I cannot say enough good things about them. We will definitely be using Blueflash to photograph the big moments in our lives in the future.

Matt and the Blueflash team were our wedding day superheroes. We reached out to Blueflash in a panic when our original celebration in upstate New York was canceled due to COVID-19....
Additionally, due to military travel restrictions, we were only able to confirm our elopement 10 days in advance. Matt was super responsive from the very beginning. He was understanding of our unique circumstances and a pleasure to work with. To top it off, the forecast on our wedding day called for 100% chance of thunderstorms. We decided to move up our ceremony to avoid the rain. Matt and his team were able to accommodate our last minute time change and were total pros from start to finish. The photographs and video by far exceeded our expectations!! Blueflash has a super talented team and we would definitely hire them again.

about the timing and layout of our wedding day prior to arriving at the church. Besides the church (Cathedral in Providence) and reception (Providence Public Library), I was pretty much on my own coordinating the morning for myself and the bridesmaids. Britt went above and beyond to provide a clear picture of what the expect in regards to the layout of the day. The two photographers that my husband, Nick and I had were amazing-they are a really sweet and fun married couple. The photographers were very easy to work with and did an amazing job on all the pictures. Nick and I could not be more happy with our decision to use Blueflash.

g and there was an ipad of preview pictures out on the table- it was so special to see a preview of shots that were taken earlier in the day. Britt is the behind the scenes when planning and is a logistics queen. I work in events myself and tend to be a little high strung with details and she reviewed my timeline a year in advance to help provide feedback and assistance. The entire team was accommodating, pleasant, laughed along when all of my bridesmaid and I couldn't stop laughing, and even sweated through a hot- but gorgeous July summer day with us. Our pictures were turned around quickly, and beautifully and while the last few months of being married has been hectic- I cannot wait to frame our gorgeous photos in our brand new home and forever remember how perfect our wedding was captured through their lense. Oh and, video? Don't think twice. We wrote our own vows and I never even had to tell them I wanted that incorporated. We will re-watch that every anniversary and are forever grateful to have that.

we got them - which was a little over a week after our wedding, I couldn't believe how soon we got them. I am not someone who likes photos and I was pretty clear about that upfront, but Matt made me feel so much more comfortable and didn't push taking a million photos. and we couldn't have been happier with the final product. Our videographer was also so professional and fun to work with on the day. The photo booth was a HUGE hit. The only bummer is we ran out of the paper halfway through the wedding so folks couldn't print their pictures but everything else was fantastic about the Blue Cube. The uplighting was also perfection. They worked with us to pick the best lighting for the room and it looked gorgeous. Thank you so much for everything Blueflash!

sweet girl with an awesome personality. I did several sessions with Emily and each time she was amazing, accepted my visions and made them come to life thru her work.
Britt is fantastic- she made the process so simple and easy and was like talking to a friend over the phone when planning the timeline, locations etc. She was always so pleasant!
We also did our photo booth thru Blueflash, and while my conversation with the attendant was brief the day of the wedding ( you end up being pretty popular on your wedding day keeping you extremely busy - lol) he was also very nice and professional. The photo booth was a huge hit and the package the Cube offered was fantastic.
I highly recommend Blueflash and their entire team- they are amazing at their profession, extremely talented and an absolute joy to work with !

This is a must for a bride and groom when you are planning a wedding and working with a number of different people - you don't want to be chasing your vendors. They were timely, got all of the shots that we asked for and then some, and were flexible when the typical wedding hiccups occurred. They also worked well coordinating with our venue and other vendors.

She did a great job of capturing all the important moments, and really showcasing what our day was like. She was also really great about getting all the family photos of my extended family. She was so nice and easy to work with. And as a bonus, we had ALL our wedding photos before we got back from our honeymoon! It was so exciting to relive those moments again so soon after. During the day itself, as everything (and everyone) gets more and more chaotic, Emily and Kearsten were incredibly professional. They fit themselves into the crowd so no one felt like they had to stop the fun at any moment to pose! And now that we have our pictures - WOW. I haven't stopped looking through them. From beginning to end, the logistics, engagement photos and day of the wedding were all just incredible experiences. I recommend creating a list of shots you want on your wedding day, but they do capture all the best moments without you feeling like they are there! The photos are gorgeous, and they definitely stand out from other photographers. You may think you can save money by going elsewhere, but the quality of their photos is well worth every single penny spent. And the video. If you are debating the video, it was the best decision we made for our wedding. Blueflash takes 10 hours of a day, and creates 8min of incredible footage that tell a story you could never get back. The way they created it was perfection, and blew us away. Something we will have forever, and I have never seen a video quite like it. Emily and Fred were truly amazing and captured some of the best shots from our wedding day. My husband and I are very laid back people and aren't typically into pictures, but wanted to make sure we captured all of the important shots of family and friends that we would always be able to look back on. We did take lots of pictures of course, but it was very painless and we had a lot of fun working with Emily and Fred. They knew exactly what to do and timed everything perfectly.
