I always enjoyed dancing to music growing up and could always be found walking around the house with my earphones on listening to cds on my portable Sony CD player. I love making the couples special day a reality. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing the bride and groom out on the dace floor enjoying themselves. He even went above and beyond and managed releasing people from their tables for the buffet which we hadn’t even asked him to do! He also was very responsive throughout the entire planning process, and did a great job with keeping things on schedule the night of which was so helpful. He was very helpful in offering ideas of how to make the ceremony run as smoothly as possible. My family who was moving things around because of the changes had nothing but great thing to say about him. In addition to all the changes, he graciously stayed for an extra hour of music outside of the original timeline when I wasn’t quite ready to stop dancing. Calvin completely understood our vision of wanting a dance party as soon as our cake was cut. He was on time, made sure he was set up "out of the way", kept the flow of our ceremony, made sure to pronounce everyone's name right! The list really goes on. Once all the kids left at 8pm, he quickly transitioned into what I requested as "Raunchy"! haha. I wanted a dance party and that's what he gave us! For our music, we spent a lot of time coming up with a list of definite songs to play and then a list of extra for him to choose from depending on how people were responding. However, Calvin did not play all the definite songs we asked and played songs that were not on our definite or extra list.
Something that really effected me but might not effect many others was the last dance. When it came to the last song of the night, Calvin asked all our guests to form a circle around my husband and I and for us to dance in the middle. I have anxiety so I was extremely overwhelmed and upset when this unexpectedly happened. I know many people wouldn’t mind this, but would just like to make you aware as I wish it was communicated to me ahead of time.

xperience was short of a 5 star experience like we aim for. As mentioned in your review I was able to help you set up once I was ready to go which reflects my commitment to help make my couples’ special day less stressful and more enjoyable.
As far as the music goes the lists you provided me with were great! I did receive quite a few requests from your guests (some of which were on your second playlist), which took away from the songs on your definite list. While the majority of them were played I do recognize that not all were played and apologize for that. In the future I will ensure it is communicated to the couples if all of their chosen songs will not be played at the reception.
I am very sorry to hear that you had anxiety during your last dance. The process of the last dance is usually communicated on the phone call when everything is discussed in detail. Going forward I will make sure this is communicated again prior to the last dance to ensure this does not happen in the future.
