Me and my husband Jon currently live in California but we met eachother in Minnesota. We decided to have a winter wedding in Minneapolis because our friends and family live there and it really meant a lot to have all of our loved ones there for us. Photography was a import to us. We were ready to spend our money on the best photographer. We talked to many photographers and decided on Brittleigh. Her work was not boring and what you call a "basic bitch". We loved her style, her personality, her professionalism, and knowledge about photography. She told us when and where we should shoot and made our decisions easy. We just got our photos back and we love them. We are getting an album created right now!! Britt is great.

My wife and I just got our wedding photos back from Britleigh and they are UNBELIEVABLE!! She is such a kind and considerate person to work with. Everyone in the wedding party adored her! Not only was she able to produce incredibly professional wedding photos, but she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. She was very organized and has great time management skills. We had a wonderful experience working with Britleigh Photography and would recommend her to all of our friends planning to tie the knot! Britleigh was the photographer of my best friends wedding that I was the best man of. The wedding was at Lutsen resort in Lutsen, MN. She was very professional, friendly and fun. She got all the photos taken and timed everything out so there so no stress or confusion for the family and wedding party. She had high positive energy and gave positive vibes when directing everyone during the shoots. She has fun ideas for us, the wedding party. We did some really fun photos on the beach and it was a moment that we will ALL remember forever. We had good laughs and memories of the shoot she did with us. I highly recommend her. I would hire her for my wedding if I get married!

We had an absolutely incredible experience working with Britleigh. Not only does she “deliver” on what was agreed or expected, she clearly has an eye for the moment or occasion and adapts accordingly. For us, we simply didn’t receive a wedding photography session, we received a thoughtful and curated snapshot of a momentous time in our lives. My sister got married on a chilly afternoon in January on the North Shore, and Britleigh was there to photograph every moment. I love that she is able to capture every couples own style, but that she also took the time to photograph the family and guests as well. Britleigh will not only take great care of your dresses,shoes and accessories, she will also take great care of you and make sure that you are comfortable with her ideas while also giving you the freedom to incorporate your own. She made the day and night magical, and I would definitely recommend her for more than just weddings.

Brittany does the best work. She did my wedding and I couldn't be happier with my photos. The whole experience was so good. She has a keen eye for detail and is very creative. Also, I have a lot of respect for how professional she was. 🖤🖤

I was nervous about this whole process. This was my first time getting married (and hopefully my last lol) and Britleigh was great with guiding us through the whole process, not even just the photography part. On new years day we decided to have a small wedding at the Semple Mansion in 13 days! We knew we needed an amazing photographer and when we met with Britleigh she was extremely personable and professional. When you hire Britleigh you're receiving quality of work. We met initially and she showed us past work, pricing, and listened to our ideas on what we wanted. We didn't have a lot of time before deciding to finally get married and the wedding, and through that time Britleigh asked questions, met with us, and made me feel very confident in the product we would receive. At the wedding she was professional and open to any suggestion we had. She set up a viewing after the wedding provided with coffee and donuts(Glam Doll!) and we were able to see every image unedited which was awesome. When I asked for more photos of our rings and she went out of her way to take more. We received a BEAUTIFUL box with our photo memory stick and the most gorgeous wedding album I've ever seen. I cant stress enough how fun, easy to work with, and professional Britleigh is. She delivered beyond my expectations. You will not go wrong with going with Britleigh.

Britleigh did the most amazing surprise engagement shoot for me and my fiance! I have known Brit for what seems like a lifetime, and have always admired her passion for photography. I brought my family to the cities for a fun spring break vacation to see the MOA and other sites. We were enjoying a stroll on the Stone-Arch Bridge when my now fiance got down on one knee and made me the happiest woman in the world! Little did I know, Brit was scrunched up hiding out photographing the entire thing!!!! She is so talented at what she does and very professional! I was speachless, but she was able to get such beautiful photos so that I can cherish this moment for a lifetime! Thank you, Britleigh, for one of the best gift of a lifetime!!

My Wedding was last year but we decided to have a party in Sept. 2016. Brit has photographed all of my siblings weddings in the past 10 years so I knew she was great. My sister was her first wedding she ever shot back in 2008! She was good then and she's gotten so much better. Her work is so beautiful. I had her photograph my henna party and my wedding ceremony. Her and her assistant worked really hard and when I was tired, her assistant went and got me red bull. Brit let me customize my USB case and it turned out beautiful. Brit will work with you and she knows what she is doing. She has been shooting for years. My family loves her.

Honestly this photographer is amazing. She works with you and is very, very nice. I cannot recommend her enough. She is great as a photographer and as a person. Even he guests at my wedding said they liked her because of how nice she was.

Britleigh was our wedding photographer and we made the right choice. She communicated with us well, she reminded us when we needed to get photos we wanted, she was very polite, and flexible. She not only did a great job but she loved what she did. She would get really excited about an image idea and pull us aside. It was really nice to have someone so passionate and get us involved with her creative ideas. She books up fast! We found her on the knot and we liked her work and prices. We later found out that she was photographing my cousin, my wife's best friend, and my wife's makeup artist's wedding this year too. The final images were better than I expected. It took 4 weeks to get them back and it was worth the wait. We highly recommend Britleigh.

Britleigh is amazing! She is professional, patient, fun, genuine, and extremely talented. I initially had many questions and wanted to make sure I picked the right photographer to capture our day - she was willing to meet with me multiple times and answered all my questions to put me at ease in the overwhelming selection process. The day of the wedding was even more than I could have wished for. Britleigh and her assistant were promptly on time, very patient with our large family and wedding party, were there to help with corsages, hair, adjustments, etc. , and never missed a beat! I cannot say enough great things about Britleigh and I would highly recommend her for any of your photographic needs. She was also very quick to get us our images and does all the small things right - from beginning to end Britleigh makes an impact through her creative work, communication, and actions along the way! Thanks again, Britleigh and assistant, Pam - you guys are the best and truly made our day a dream come true!

UPDATE to my previous review: She was very personable and seemed to have a really great understanding of what I wanted. She did ask me to fill out a cheat sheet and put together some photos of pictures I liked which I thought was really great because that made her seem organized. The day of the wedding, she showed up early with her assistant Pam. They were so excited to get started. Then my make up person was late which did put us behind at the venue. However, that didnt seem to stop BritLeigh and Pam from working through the book I had put together and the cheat sheet. I really enjoyed working with them at my wedding. Of course not realizing that I would be disappointed in the photos themselves. After the wedding, BritLeigh kept in touch with me over the 2 month process before I received my photos. I understood that August was a busy month for her and she had several weddings before mine. I patiently waited for my photos. Again, please understand that I was SO tired after my wedding, and then after waiting 2 months for my photos.... only to be disappointed, it did take me a while to recover and finally say something to BritLeigh. First off, there were several photos of my husband and I were his head was cut off! It just didn't make sense! I remember posing for the photos thinking these are going to be really cute and then when I received them, his head was cut totally off..... there were also many photos that didnt make sense. Like why would you take these and then send them to me? It looked to me like there was no editing done at all. On top of it, when she took our ring photos, they put my wedding band ON TOP of my engagement ring...why would anyone do that? My ring was upside own in all the up-close ring photos! I did recently ask for her help and told her how I really felt about the photos. Granted it was about 5 months after the wedding but her response was so surprising. First I asked her to please photo-shop the flower/ring photo because she had put the ring upside-down. she fixed it, and sent it to me, but it had PREVIEW on it and when I asked for a photo without the PREVIEW written on it, she told me it would be $30! But she was the one who placed my rings the wrong way...why should I pay for her mistake? Next, I asked for a partial refund because I was not happy with my photos. This seemed reasonable to me, as we cant redo the photos, and I will never get to redo that day again. Even just a small refund would have been ok with me. I mostly wanted to be acknowledged for the issues that occurred with my experience. Her response was very defensive. She asked me why I am telling her this 3 months after receiving the photos. I told her because the wedding was overwhelming and it took me some time to get the courage to tell her how I really felt because I felt a strong connection with her throughout the process. She was not understanding at all. She refused my refund and told me the only way I would get any money back is if she called lawyer and I took back the rights to all the photos as if the day had never happened. Can you believe it? she told me the only way I am getting any money back is by taking down all the photos, and deleting them as if nothing occurred! I highly recommend looking at others before considering BritLeigh. While she was very professional before and during the wedding, her photos didnt make sense most of the time and then when I tried to approach her, she threatened me.

Over the moon happy with our choice. I was told so many times that the photographer is the most important part of your wedding and I know we got the best. She was attentive, creative, great listener, and a delight. I wish I could give her way more than 5 stars.

I had Brittany capture my proposal with my fiancé. It was a complete surprise, so I had Brittany hide off to the side and act like she was just taking pictures for herself. She captured the moment perfectly, and the pictures turned out great. She sent me the photos the very next day, which was great because my fiancé was excited to see them once she found out I had a photographer capture the proposal. Very pleased with the experience.

As a budget conscious bride, I wasn't going to have a professional photographer at our wedding, but decided that maybe it would make things easier to not have family members taking pictures. We decided to go with Britleigh because of the style of her photos and her very reasonable prices (they are a steal for the quality and quantity of photos you get). After getting our USB with almost 1000 pictures documenting our day, I am so glad we decided to go with Britleigh. She got pictures of every moment and my husband and I love being able to relive our day through the pictures. Everyone raves about the quality of the photos. Britleigh is prompt, professional, creative and flexible. She incorporated all of our ideas and came prepared on our wedding day with many ideas of her own that perfectly complimented our style. We loved working with her and look forward to working with her in the future!

Britleigh was the photographer at my sisters wedding. She was very accommodating when my 3 year old daughter was getting restless. She made sure that the family photos got done right away and that the ones with my daughter were done first. She was very kind and direct when it came to photos. She was open to my other siblings input (which can be very obnoxious). She made sure that all of the family members were included in the photo information and not just the bride and groom. Her work better than I expected. She included details from the day that I wouldn't find important at first. Her photos made a complete story. She is the best. She doesn't know it yet but I just got engaged and she will be shooting my wedding,

The shoot made us feel very comfortable and it was a blast! Along with handling it like a professional, it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend versus a stranger with a camera. Now that it's captured in photos, I can remember that day for years to come!

Britleigh was patient and went along with our ideas for the wedding.She captured our special day beautifully and made it memorable.

My fiancé and I were completely clueless to what we needed for our wedding in general. We decided to have a small wedding with 50 people. We had no idea what we wanted for photos. We looked around at a lot of photographers. Most of them only offered "full day" options. Britleigh met us and explained to us what we needed and how it worked. She offered us a partial day photo option because our wedding was short and untraditional. When it came the day of, she was on top of her game. (Which I am glad because we had no idea what to do!) She explained and directed everyone to what they should do for group photos. The photos turned out great. We are really happy we found Britleigh.

I highly recommend Britleigh! I remember being a bit skeptical when first looking at her pictures and thinking the price seemed too good to be true--the other pictures in the same price range were definitely steps below. I asked my groomsman/officiant (who also edits professional wedding photography) his opinion, and he said definitely go for it--we're so glad we did! We paid to have an extra professional photographer assisting Britleigh as well... money very well spent! Our only guess for the awesome price is her portfolio is relatively small right now; her pics really blow away anyone at this price range, she's a gem in the rough! I'd imagine the demand for her will start rising very soon if it hasn't already. Prior to the wedding, we met with Britleigh on two separate occasions--she went out of her way to meet us at specific times we requested, since we live out-of-state. My wife gave her a huge amount of pics from Pinterest... I did not envy Britleigh having to go through all of that! Britleigh, Alex (other photographer), and Nyssa (assistant) showed up bright and early as we got ready. Nyssa had a clipboard that organized all of my wife's suggested shots (including all the Pinterest) throughout the day, and what times/settings they were expecting to get each shot. The organization was impressive! We are very happy we were able to get most of the shots! We asked for some very difficult and unique shots (ones neither Britleigh/Alex had probably ever attempted), and were pleasantly surprised how they turned out--it really showed an ability to adapt on-the-fly by Britleigh and her team! We insisted that they didn't need to come early or stay super late, but Britleigh wanted to make sure our entire special day was captured. We're very appreciative of that! They were very professional and focused on their jobs. If you happened to actually get through my review and are looking for a wedding photographer... seriously, book with Britleigh. You won't regret it!

I was very happy with my experience with Brittney. She took the time to meet with me before the wedding to discuss details and group shots that I wanted. She followed me to three different places that day! She came to my mother's house while I was getting ready to capture some really cool vintage shots and pictures with my dog. She then took shots of basically every moment during the ceremony. It's like watching a movie of our wedding day. Even though it was 90 degrees out, we fought through the heat and took beautiful group shots in the park. I wish I would have touched base with her more during the reception, but I was so worried about talking to all of my guests. I totally forgot to get a group picture with my family like we did with my husbands. But that was my fault and I should have said something! Brittney is independent, flexible and will work with you on anything that you desire. She doesn't need much direction to know what you want, but still wanted to make sure I was happy. I liked getting the USB, so I could easily upload the pictures to my computer and to Facebook. I am very please with my pictures and still keep looking at them to relive the day. I will recommend her to anyone that needs a photographer!!!

I had originally had a photographer for my wedding set up and it was not Britleigh. My Wedding was in August and in July I attended my cousins wedding. Brit was my cousin's wedding photographer. I saw how diligent and friendly she was with my cousins wedding party. I started thinking about how I really wanted that on my special day too. I started to chat up her assistant and come to find out that the only day in August that she was not booked was my wedding day! My cousin had booked her wedding a year ago so her prices had gone up but she matched what she charged my cousin with only a month notice. I made the right choice! She did a great job on my cousins wedding as well as mine. We recommend her to all of our family and friends.

Britleigh and her assistant did an awesome job of photographing our wedding. They caught all of the important things, as well as so much more! They were light-hearted and easy-going, making photos fun and easy! We would recommend Britleigh to anyone! She is incredibly talented and amazing to work with :)

My spouse and I were extremely pleased with Britleigh Photography. Brittany was photographing our wedding party from early morning until the final evening dances at our reception. She and her assistant were energetic, professional and took several creative photos we will cherish forever. She also worked closely with our DJ to coordinate photos on the dance floor. In regards to price, We particularly liked the ability to choose what we wanted and did not want - Instead of having to pay for an entire package. Very reasonable prices. I will recommend her to our friends and family and most definitely contact her when our youngest daughter gets married.

My son and his fiancé chose Britleigh Photography for their wedding photographer. I just want to say that she was the perfect choice. Brittany and her assistant Nyssa, were very professional, organized and still a lot of fun to work with. With the group photos, which can be grueling and time consuming,we all had so much fun and breezed right through them with nice natural smiles. Brittany called us by name, guided us where to stand, how to hold our hands, which way to look. Click, click done. The lighting was perfect and the pictures are truly amazing. At the reception, she got a lot of great candid shots plus photographs of my son and his beautiful bride that they will treasure forever. I was referred to Britleigh by a family member who knew her personally and we were very satisfied. She came early in the morning to our hotel to start shooting us getting ready, the dress, shoes, and other important details. She was hard working and had a great assistant! I love the photos she provided. She was willing to work with our budget and travel to multiple locations. We highly recommend Britleigh.

Britleigh has been doing our extended family photos for 5 years now. We had her do our engagement photos and wedding photos. The engagement photos could not have been better. She had us tossing a football around (because we love football) and got some great candid and posed shots. The best part is that I had found a save the date design that I liked on Pinterest and she custom made it to look exactly how we wanted! I thought that was so neat that we didn't have to just use her templates and that she made us a custom one. The save the dates were magnetic which was REALLY cool! The wedding photos turned out well too. She was with us the whole day capturing candid and spend a good deal of time on posed/ fun shots with my family and bridal party. She was open to ideas that my bridesmaids threw at her. Of course I wanted to shoot photos at the most popular bridge in Minneapolis on a Saturday so there were 2 other wedding parties on the same bridge. Brit was very professional and communicated with the other photographers on when each party can have a turn. She was good at communicating with my huge wedding party of 16 people. I recommend her because of her willingness to customize your wedding, listen to you ideas, and her outstanding professionalism. My family have used her for 5 years and we will continue to call her for every event and portrait. Choose Britleigh!

Britleigh was extremely professional in all regards. Her extra personal touches included a wedding card, flower magnet, beautiful book encasing our Flash drive, encouragement and excitement for our special day. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She is very reasonably priced and takes beautiful pictures. She was layer back enough for us to enjoy the formal poses yet organized enough to get them all done in a timely fashion. There was a perfect mix of planned and posed pictures with candid, photojournalistic, artistic shots as well.

Absolutely Amazing! I don't know that i can put into words how great my experience was with Britleigh. She came in right in the morning and went to work taking pictures, making sure i was doing okay and just being so helpful in every way. Nyssa who was Britleighs assistant was right there helping with everything and making sure everything was on time and going smoothly. I'am not someone that enjoys taking pictures and i felt so comfortable, at ease, beautiful and just natural, not staged. I have to say , this was our family's first wedding , and Britleigh did an awesome job!!! She was there at every angle , captioning everything !! She caught tender , loving and memorable moments ! I used Britleigh for my engagement photos and my wedding photos. She did an amazing job! She was professional, tasteful, and most of all she listened to our wants and desires. We have gotten so many positive compliments on our photos it's flattering. We plan to use her for the future too, such as family photos etc. When getting married you have enough stress to deal with and I'm happy to say she made it painless in the photo department!! We found Britleigh Photography here on The Knot. Naturally, we had to meet so I could grill her on all of the questions to ask the photographer that I had found on Pinterest. We met for coffee and two hours later, we were still laughing and talking through wedding stuff, being eco-friendly, and other amazing details that make her a great photographer. By the end of the meeting, I was really excited that she would be the one to capture our big day. The day came and went, as most weddings do, and I am still so impressed with Britleigh's professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to put her all into her work. Our photos turned out beautifully and she utilized every angle to get some really great shots--photos that I couldn't even have imagined getting. She was there, with an assistant, throughout getting ready, the outdoor photos, the ceremony, and all the way to the beginning of the "hoppin'" dance floor. Not so secretly, I am glad she left after an hour of the dance--some things are better left on the dance floor. Overall, we are so thankful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone searching for a photographer!

I'm getting married this summer and have been scouring the internet for ideas for a gift for my fiancé. I went through an entire list of things like watches, puppies, vacation, expensive whiskey, etc...but all of those ideas (although perfect for other couples) just weren't hitting it square on the nail for me. They all seemed so impersonal and generic. When Brittany brought up the idea of boudoir photographs I was a little apprehensive at first. However, the more I thought about it the more I loved the idea. Its personal, a little over the top, and something my fiancé would love! The photoshoot was amazing! I've never felt more beautiful or sexy as I did that day. I was nervous to begin with, but Brittany suggested we put some music to help me relax a little. She was fun and always encouraging me, telling me how amazing the photos were looking and how great I was at modeling. If I wasn't sure what I should do she would talk me through it until it started to become more natural. She was always on her toes coming up with great new ideas as well as funny things to say causing me bust out laughing multiple times. I'm a fairly shy and self conscience person, but that day when we were doing the boudoir shoot Brittany made sure that I felt beautiful, sexy and never stopped encouraging me. When I got the photos I was amazed at how quickly she edited the photos and got them to me. Plus they turned out awesome! Its taking a lot of restraint to not say anything or just go ahead and show the photos to my fiancé...after all it is a surprise and I have to wait till our wedding day to give him his wedding gift.

I have never felt as beautiful than when I photographed for my “Trash the Dress” shoot, although I couldn’t bear to actually “ruin” my dress. However, her ingenuity with poses, uses of a fabulous makeup artist, placements, and locations were outstanding. The photos with the dog were unexpected, but fabulous!! Would recommend to anyone!

Britleigh Photography was at a wedding I attended. I already had a family member who was going to photograph my wedding but was intrigued with how attentive she was. Long story short, I ended up hiring her for my reception. Well worth the reasonable pricing she offered. She has several different packages and if none of them fit your needs, just ask her! I had several friends and family ask who she was because "she was everywhere!" Britleigh sent all pictures within a few days and captured the night wonderfully. My husband (who I neglected to tell that I hired her as he could have cared a less about this portion of the wedding) was very happy that I did. We had a great time looking through the pictures and reliving our amazing day. I would definitely recommend Britleigh Photography to any bride. Excellent job .... Book her!

I contacted Brittleigh to shoot my wedding after a friend of mine raved about working with her. I wanted my wedding photos to be unique and edgy and Brittleigh's portfolio had some beautiful shots. My friends on facebook started asking me who did my photos, which prompted me to write her a review. Brittleigh was very professional and called me to discuss different options for a site. She also wanted to know details I wouldn't have thought about- like our wedding colors and the style of my wedding dress. My husband and I wanted our wedding to be low-key (we all wore our Chuck-Taylors) and she had several great ideas right away! She recommended an additional solo shoot to capture me in my dress a couple of weeks before the wedding. We met at a park she recommended that I wasn't familiar with but turned out to be beautiful. She wanted to capture me as the sun was coming up, so I met her at 5:30 AM. (I know it sounds outrageously early, but the results were well worth it.) I've never had a professional shoot like this one. She is very hip and fun to be around, which helps because real laughter makes for some great smiles. (If you are anything like me, it is hard to fake a smile when being photographed). She did have me pose in some awkward positions that I wouldn't have expected, but those pictures turned out to be my favorite ones of them all! Just a heads up- she is in demand, so book in advance. She works with kids too. My husband and I are expecting in January and we will definitely be contacting her for our family portraits. I highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again.
