Alyssa was an amazing instructor. She helped my now wife and I, who have had little to no experience in dance, come up with an amazing first dance. She broke it down in to small pieces that were easy to understand. We were able to learn the full song in just two lessons (plus some extra practice at home)! You can tell she has a passion for what she does. The prep work she put in to creating the dance for us was so impressive. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great instructor to look no further, she is the one!

I have been dancing since I was a child and received my MFA (Masters in Fine Arts) in choreography and dance performance in CA. I danced professionally for years, I am a dance professor and instructor and I have taught thousands of people how to dance. I have specifically been creating wedding dances for over 12 years, and I LOVE creating special moments for couples and their guests! I can help make your special day even more memorable through dance. I offer lessons designed for beginners up to more experienced dancers, and I have experience with all levels of dancers. I work with brides, grooms, families, and all couples to create a custom dance that fits your wedding with sessions that work and fit your schedule. If you have a special song already selected that you want a choreographed dance to, I can create that for you and customize it to make it as simple or as complex as you'd like! I can also help you if you and/or your partner are nervous about getting more comfortable for your wedding day! I also create beautiful and fun Father/Daughter dances, Mother/Son dances, or group dances. I can do any style of dance, and we can make it as elegant, fun, or in between as you would like! As neither of us had experience in dancing, it was refreshing to have Alyssa teach us some great moves not only to use on the big day, but for any future occasion. She is extremely personable and willing to be available via FaceTime for any late night or last-minute questions. lyssa brought to life. Her choreography was simple with just a splash of drama per my request. My husband had no dance background while I had some experience from high school and college. She is an excellent instructor for all levels and she took great care in recording our lessons so we could practice at home. Lessons were conveniently located in Broadview Heights; although, she had Rocky River as a location as well. Alyssa gave us more than just a dance, she gave us cherished memories. The night before our wedding, I fondly remember my then-fiancé and I practicing under the stars. Before the reception, at our final photo shoot, we practiced one last time to calm our nerves, which incidentally made for some amazing candid photos! When the moment came, we surprised all of our guests and received lots of cheers and compliments. The experience felt so dreamy...like we were dancing on clouds…and we didn’t even use a fog machine! And last but not least, on our first anniversary, we had fun dancing it again...a tradition we plan to keep alive for years to come. Our first dance was hands down one of the best parts of our wedding day and I often relive that magical moment in my mind. I mean it when I say - the morning after our wedding, it was the very first thing I reminisced about. Thank you Alyssa for making our first dance unforgettable!

so knew neither my dad nor I had the time or skill to create a choreographed dance to rock n' roll songs. I reached out to Alyssa at the Movement Factory hoping she could help and she surpassed all expectations! I explained what I was envisioning and the songs I was wanting to mash together. Alyssa understood the assignment and envisioned an entire routine. When we showed up for the first practice, I was skeptical we would be able to learn a routine in just a few lessons, but Alyssa walked us through each step and made adjustments as we went to match our skill level and comfort. Alyssa was also able to help create the song mix. By our last lesson, we both felt confident heading into the wedding. On top of being so good at her job, Alyssa is also so kind and made us feel confident and comfortable. Our dance was a hit at the reception and the memories I made with my dad at the lessons with Alyssa and at home practicing ourselves are some of my favorite memories from the months spent planning my wedding.

Alyssa taught us a choreographed first dance and some steps for our small wedding reception. I am not a dancer so I felt better to have some moves in advance. I was worried to have...

a preset dance but she made it easy to remember and it matched the music. She also helped us with some poses for photos. My wife was happy and so were our guests. I would recommend this vendor.

For my husband and me, dancing is not our thing. At all. In fact, throughout our relationship, my husband has been known to avoid dancing whenever possible. And, for me, dancing ha...

s just always been something that doesn’t come naturally. Yet, oddly enough, the main element of our wedding that my husband and I discussed and whole-heartedly agreed upon well before we even got engaged (we know… that’s kind of weird), is that we wanted to do an impressive choreographed dance for our first dance. Like, something moderately shocking to anyone who knows that we typically do not dance. Then, we got engaged, and reality set in: we were going to have to find someone to seriously work with us to make this dance a reality. When we were researching dance lessons for our wedding, we knew that we didn’t want our first dance to feel overly-choreographed or too “ballroom-y.” We just wanted something impressive, yet modern. Enter Alyssa Lee Wilmot and The Movement Factory, who we ultimately hired to choreograph (and teach us!) our first dance. To be honest, on the drive to our first lesson with Alyssa, we were insanely nervous and not remotely looking forward to dance lessons. In fact, my husband had to encourage me not to jump out of the car in Lakewood and run away -- that’s how much I wanted to avoid having to dance for the first time! However, all our nerves soon disappeared, and we actually became excited to go to our lessons and practice at home! Alyssa is incredible in every way. She is so creative; she knows so much about dance and quality presentation; and she is a genuinely wonderful person to be around and work with. She’s light-hearted and funny, yet serious and professional. Ultimately, through our 5.5 lessons, Alyssa was able to take two nervous people who had no experience dancing at all, and create a beautifully choreographed “waltz-fusion” dance for us to perform at our wedding reception. The cool thing about working with Alyssa is that it wasn’t a linear process. She would regularly adjust elements of our dance based on our feedback and what she felt was or was not working for us. In that way, our first dance was perfectly crafted and tailored just for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. In the end, Alyssa created a first dance for us that was everything that we wanted: shocking and impressive. Our guests were floored. And we were so proud. We highly recommend Alyssa and the Movement Factory to absolutely anyone and everyone -- you won’t be disappointed.

the dance exactly what we wanted, elegant but fun. She really didn't have any limitations on what we wanted to make our dance. She even taught us the most basic dance moves that we mastered and will be able to use for future weddings. Oh my goodness, where to begin... Alyssa is such a gem! She choreographed my first dance with my husband as well as my father-daughter dance. I sent Alyssa the two songs I wante...

d to dance to and explained some of the details around them (that the first dance would be what my husband and I would be introduced to/would start dancing to right after we walked in, that my dad and I wanted to incorporate some silly elements to our dance, etc.); and, within a few days, she prepared two completely different dances for us to learn. She was patient, adaptable, flexible with her availability, and completely open to our ideas - the end result were two very different dances that looked great (and made us feel great, too!). It was such an added surprise element to our day; people couldn't get over the over-the-top performances. If you're a bride looking for dance lessons, GO NO FURTHER. This is absolutely the place!!

nitely beginner dancers but Alyssa gave us tips to wow our guests! We were really happy with how our wedding dance came out. We were able to do a practice run while taking pictures so that gave us more confidence for the lift. We practiced a lot so we were well prepared. We loved the dancing lessons so much that now we are going to take ballroom dancing lessons!

classes, Pilates, and springboard classes! Great for toning, lengthening, and sculpting all the problem areas for your wedding dress! The classes make me feel great here and I love the tone they give me! And pound is also a great fun way to sweat and rock the pounds away!

al training and we both wanted our first dance to be special. It was actually his idea to get a choreographer and this is the one venue he picked out. Props to hubby for finding her because she was amazing!! Alyssa is a bonafide professional, creative, and passionate dancer. You can tell from the moment you meet that she loves her job and she finds it a joy to help you move! We had a fun time learning a whole variety of styles from salsa to waltz to hip-hop. The song we chose was pretty edgy and different, so I was really impressed at how she came up with choreography to suit it perfectly and match our personalities. She also was able to edit the song to the appropriate length. She worked with us just enough so that we felt comfortable. On the big day, we knocked it out the park! So many compliments on how beautiful the dance was and best of all -- people really think we can dance now! :)
