SugarBakers crafted a stunning wedding cake for our special day! They designed a simple yet beautiful two-tier cake that exceeded our expectations. Not only was the cake visually appealing, but it was also incredibly moist with just the right amount of frosting. We absolutely loved it! Without a doubt, we'll be returning to SugarBakers for future occasions to indulge in their delightful sweets and treats.

Is it really a wedding without a SugarBakers cake? Although my husband had to have donuts, we still wanted a small cake to cut. We were looking for just a small round, simple cake and of course, SugarBakers delivered just that! The Amaretto Raspberry has always been my favorite and ultimately what we decided on, but we loved the tasting tray and couldn’t have gone wrong with any of the flavors that they offered. I know there will be more SugarBakers cakes in our future!

We did tastings at so many shops, but Sugarbakers blew them all out of the water! There were so many delicious flavors that we had trouble deciding which one we actually wanted, and the cake itself was beyond perfect. It was exactly what I dreamed of. I would highly recommend Sugarbakers!

SugarBakers created a gorgeous wedding cake for us! The four layers were all different and all were fabulous! All of our guests loved the cake and the floral beaded design. We couldn't be happier with the final cake! Definitely going to go there for more occasions for sweets and treats!

The cake was perfect and it was delicious! The cupcakes were a hit! We had three different flavors for our guests to choose from. They loved all of them. We liked our cake since we did a small one-tier for ourselves. Super easy to work with and super helpful! The tasting was also super easy. SugarBakers was so wonderful to work with - from the cake testing all the way to the easy delivery of the cake on our wedding day! They helped us narrow our ideas for the aesthetic we were looking for, and we even got to include 3 different flavors that we loved (2 tier cake + 1 sheet cake to cut up for the guests). Gorgeous AND delicious!

We have gotten SO MANY compliments about how amazing our wedding cake was! And we agree!! SugarBakers Cakes made us a beautiful 3 tier cake (and a sheet cake as supplement) for our 170 person wedding. The sponge was so delicious and moist, and the mousse filling was light and flavorful. The tasting platter was a huge help, beautifully arranged, and we loved the layout/notes they provided to help us with picking our favorites. We worked with Staci and she was very helpful in taking our design ideas and turning them into a stunning cake. We can't wait for our one-year anniversary to go back and eat more of it! :)

From sampling, designing, to enjoying on our wedding day. This cake was delicious and affordable. We chose a two tiered cake with a sheet cake to help save some money and had 3 different flavors. The design process was very easy and smooth and delivery went great. Everyone raved about this cake and would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! Not only was our cake delicious but they made it look so beautiful! They took parts of 3 different cakes to create our wedding cake. The staff was also very responsive and friendly!

SugarBakers made our wedding cake and I am not the only one obsessed with it... our guests are still raving about it! We held our reception at Hunt Valley Country Club in September and were informed that the venue and SugarBakers have a partnership so we had the option to order the cake through them. We were thrilled to hear this because we knew that SugarBakers was one of the few bakeries in the DMV that can make a Smith Island flavored cake. The cake itself was so appealing to look at and I still can't get over how delicious it was. We did a three tiered cake with Smith Island flavor on the bottom and top tier, and red velvet in the middle. I highly recommend SugarBakers for your wedding or any event!

Sugar Bakers is the best! We hired Sugar Bakers to do our wedding cake and cupcakes. Khrissy ensured that our vision for our wedding cake came to life. We chose Smith Island, Coconut, and Strawberry for our wedding cake flavors and they were all delicious. The cupcakes were red velvet and funfetti-also delicious. We are excited to try our top layer (coconut) in a year from now-its in our freezer until next September! Thanks again for everything!

I would definitely recommend SugarBakers wedding cakes. The planning process was great and they work with you to customize your cake however you want it. We had a 3-tier cake with two different flavors. As soon as we were told they could do funfetti, I was sold! They will also help you minimize costs by offering a back-up sheet cake in addition to the actual wedding cake (we ended up not needing this, and they took it off our contract with no issues). Overall we were completely satisfied and I would go back for sure!

We had 5 different flavors at our wedding. Almost all of the cupcakes and cake got eaten! Absolutely delicious.

We absolutely loved our wedding cake! Our cousins also had their wedding cake from Sugarbakers, so we already knew how amazing the cakes were! We opted for a two tier chiffon iced red velvet cake with multiple flavors of cupcakes. There were NO leftovers and everyone raved about them! The process with working with Khrissy, the Bridal Manager was seamless. She was so kind, helpful and attentive to what we wanted for our big day and made suggestions to help align with our vision. Thank you so much! Amazing all around.. 10/10. :)

Beautiful, elegant, and great tasting 3-tier 3 flavor cake for our wedding!

SugarBakers was absolutely the right choice for our wedding cake. Everything was so delicious, and beautifully fit our vision for our wedding! And I love their anniversary program so you don't have to freeze your top tier :)

We hired Sugar Bakers for our May 8th wedding and provided a sample photo for them copy for the design. They got it spot on. Our cake was part Red Velvet and part Lemon Mousse and both were fantastic. I had multiple guests tell me that they usually do a token taste of cake at weddings because it often isn't very good but they went back for 3rd and 4th slices of ours. 100% recommend them!

All my friends who have gotten married recommended Sugar Bakers and they did not disappoint! We picked three flavors and I am still dreaming about the almond vanilla with a raspberry compote cake. All my guests loved the cake and many said they normally don't eat wedding cake but it was sooooo delicious! I can hardly wait for our one year anniversary to get this cake again! To be honest-I may have to go get myself a cake before next April!

We loved our wedding cake so much! We had a beautifully elegant three tiered cake with two different flavors! The whole process of working with SugarBakers was so smooth, easy, and also delicious! Khrissy, the Bridal Manager, was so kind, helpful, and very quick to respond to all inquires. The cake turned out both gorgeous and also delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend them!

SugarBakers make our wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious!! We had three different layers with three different flavors and our top layer was gluten free (and just as delicious)! They were quick and easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. We did our tasting via zoom, picking up the tasting cakes was very easy and everything was laid out for us. Communication was very professional. They delivered our cake on time and made my Christmas vision come true!

We got our wedding cake from SugarBakers. It was a simple, two tier cake. It looked fabulous, and tasted heavenly! We chose Raspberry Amaretto as our flavor, and it was YUMMY!! The cake was moist and delicious and the flavor was just fabulous. We got a lot of compliments on the cake. I would highly recommend SugarBakers!!

We worked with SugarBakers for our small wedding cake and cupcakes. They were easy to work with and responsive, even through the COVID uncertainty of 2020. We enjoyed our cake tasting and choosing the flavors for our cake and cupcakes. On the big day, all was delivered on time, looked beautiful, and was delicious!

The unfortunate experience with this vendor started from the testing tray. They mixed up the labels on the frosting on the testing tray. We requested WHITE wedding cake. They confirmed it will be white, yet they delivered a yellow cake. Vendor acknowledged mistake after wedding and refunded a portion of the cost.

Loved our wedding cake! We had a three tier with three different flavors. As a bride that typically doesn’t enjoy cake, it was difficult to find a cake that worked for our day. Let me tell you this cake was delicious. The cake is moist and flavorful without being overpowering. The icings were smooth and silky and not too sweet. The guests LOVED it as well! Highly recommend. Only negative we experienced in the planning process was in regards to communication. It was difficult to reach anyone at the shop most of the time or have calls returned. That being said, the cake arrived on time, as discussed and was delicious.

Sugar bakers did a wonderful job with our wedding cake. We got many compliments on it! I highly recommend the Dolce de Leche cake (it's the bomb, and I don't even like caramel). Thank you for everything!

Khrissy and SugarBakers Cakes were amazing to work with. We picked out our cake flavors shortly after changing our wedding location from Nassau, Bahamas to MD, due to the pandemic, and Khrissy gave us the chance to do a 2nd tasting in order to ensure we were happy with our selections. Our 3 tier, 3 flavor cake was delicious. Our guests LOVED it and couldn’t stop talking about how they sampled all 3 flavors. We also loved the fact that we didn’t have to save a tier because we will get our anniversary cake next May. Thank you Khrissy and SugarBakers for helping us bring the tropical/coastal feel to our wedding with the beautiful cake you created for us.

Sugar Bakers did an amazing job on our rehearsal dinner cake that was tailored to my groom’s interests and our wedding cake. Both were done very beautifully and tasted yummy. Some people were even wanting seconds of the cake since they were so in love. They added a small detail of a realistic sculpture of our dog that everyone loved. We did have a little trouble when we went to cut it since we didn’t realize there was a smaller base in the center but it made it funnier during the cake cutting. I would definitely recommend and look into using them again for another occasion.

Our wedding cake was amazing. Khrissy was very professional and made sure she understood exactly what we wanted. This was our second wedding so we didn't get a traditional cake, but what we did get was out of this world. The decorations were exactly what we wanted and the cakes themselves were heavenly. all of our guests raved about the cake. Couldn't have been more happier and so glad we chose them.

Absolutely loved working with Sugar Bakers for my wedding cake. It turned out so beautifully, and the Raspberry Amaretto was to die for. I saved some $ and got a smaller 3 tiered cake and an additional sheet cake of a second flavor, Smith Island Cake's Peanut Butter Fudge Cups Cake. I work in the wedding industry, and never considered another baker for my wedding cake. They were so easy to work with and exceeded my expectations! You will not regret getting your cake from them!!

A wide selection of flavors to choose from. All their cake flavors were very unique and authentic. Great service too. We got a 3-Tier cake with each tier being a different flavor. Our guests really enjoyed the cake. The best part is that you don’t really have to keep your top layer because they will send you a freshly prepared cake (your choice of flavor) on your first wedding anniversary, for FREE. We got our cake through a partnership with having our wedding at the Pier 5 Hotel. Our cake was delicious and beautiful! We had Smith Island, Red Velvet Fudge and Cannoli flavors on our 3-tiered wedding cake it was amazingly delicious. Thank you!

Our cake tasting was the first special moment we shared in the wedding planning process. They made it such a wonderful experience. We had the designer add meaningful Adinkra symbols, and they captured them beautifully. The cake was delicious and we get another one in a year!

Sugarbakers is one of the leading wedding cake bakeries in the area, and it shows in their professionalism. We had a picture of the cake style we wanted, and at our initial tasting, Terry was great about saving copies of the picture and asking detailed questions about what we specifically liked in the design. We had a hard time selecting flavors because they were all delicious, and our cake looked and tasted exactly the way we had hoped. They were also easy to work with and accommodated changes we made to our order. The only note is that they seem to recommend way more cake than you may actually need – we ended up with more slices than expected and took the entire top layer home that night. Consider scaling down on the amount of cake you order, especially if you’re planning to have other desserts as well.

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! The team at Sugar Bakers were so nice and professional. We had our tasting and planning session where they really helped take our general ideas and make our vision come to life. They are organized and called to confirm everything with me prior to the wedding. Cake was delivered on time and in one piece! They also have the option to order additional sheet cakes, which we did. On your one-year wedding anniversary they will back you a new small cake as well as part of your package!

I could not wait until our wedding day to taste our wedding cake. The cake was gorgeous, the sugar flowers looked so real and the cake was simply delicious! So much so, I will still make a trip to their bakery for the Amaretto raspberry cake.

We were hesitant to get a traditional wedding cake because honestly, neither of us are cake people. Boy were we wrong. Sugarbakers cake was absolutely delicious and the decorating was gorgeous and fit perfectly with the theme and colors of our wedding. We’ve frozen the leftover cake, thawed some a month later and it’s still just as delicious as our wedding day.

Amazing. One friend said “best cake I ever ate” while another declared this cake was “life changing”. We had 2 flavors, red velvet and a yellow cake with raspberry peach Melba. Still not sure which l liked better! The best part was it was included in my package from the Admiral Fell Inn!

SugarBakers is an amazing bakery with exceptional service, and the cake they delivered exceeded our expectations! We went to a few bakeries to find the perfect wedding cake, and SugarBakers stood out from the others by far. Amy was fantastic at our tasting, explaining the various flavors and frosting combinations, showing us photos of previous cakes, and carefully detailing all our design specifications. There wasn't any pressure to commit to buying our cake at the consultation, and Amy even sent a lovely handwritten note as a follow up. On our wedding day we were blown away by how beautiful our cake turned out (all white with a quilted pattern and pastillage flowers around the middle tier), and we were thrilled to be able to serve the delicious cake to all our guests.

SugarBakers was contracted to do our cake via our caterer, Rouge. We decided on red velvet for our 4th and top tier (to save), a tier of the cannoli flavor and a tier of the smith island flavor. Everyone raved about all the flavors and the moistness, high quality of the cake. The cake was so beautiful that we didn’t need a topper, flowers, or any other adornments and we ended up not using any! Unfortunately I (the bride) was very ill on wedding day and didn’t get to eat much cake. But even going on 2 weeks thereafter I am loving the leftovers! The cake is still quality and tastes great!

Sugar Bakers is SO DELICIOUS! Honestly that is all you need to know but they are also gorgeous! We fell in love with their raspberry amaretto at our first wedding show and I knew I had to have them make our wedding cake. However, I am from Pittsburgh, so my family demands a cookie table. I also worked as a wedding server, so I have seen the amount of wedding cake that gets thrown out at the end of the night. So my brilliant idea was to have a dessert table, and sugar bakers does not offer dessert displays. Except they did. I cannot express the gratitude and joy having them work to make my ridiculous vision a reality even though it wasn’t a service they offered. Krissy was absolutely amazing and made sure that we had everything we wanted. We had a plethora of cake, cupcakes, bars, cookies, cannoli, tarts, you name it. And in the end it was everything I could have dreamed up and we received SO MANY compliments on it. We will definitely be getting a lot of future desserts from Sugar Bakers! *I want to PS this that since they do not do dessert bars we had to coordinate and collect all our own serve ware and display items, which was a pain. Definitely worth it, but a pain, so it is not for the casual bride or I would recommend a wedding planner who can set it up for you.*

We had a great experience working with Sugar Bakers! Our neighbors recommended them to us first, and later we saw they were listed as a preferred vendor for our venue. We ordered a 3-tier wedding cake (dulce de leche and peach melba with french buttercream frosting, designed with horizontal texturing and piped beaded borders on each tier), and we ordered a variety of mini desserts (7 types; enough for about 2 minis per guest). Everything was delicious! We attended two tastings - one for the cake and the second for the desserts, as we decided to do mini desserts later on. We loved tasting the flavor options for the cake, and they were very accommodating to food allergies. We also felt they offered a large selection of desserts, which was helpful for us in choosing a variety of things that guests would enjoy. Our consultant was Khrissy, and she worked with us primarily throughout our planning process. We had contact with a few other staff members when we emailed with questions, and everyone was kind, helpful, and professional. We even completely changed our cake design from the initial design, and that was a smooth process. The cake arrived at the expected delivery time and it looked exactly the way we discussed. It was helpful for us to initially look at their portfolio of designs and then talk with Khrissy about things we liked/disliked. The cake photographed well too :-)

We have been using SugarBakers for various events for years! Choosing them for our wedding cake & desserts was an easy choice. Not only are their cakes beautiful, but they are delicious. Along with our wedding cake, we had chocolate covered strawberries and mousse cups which were equally delicious and beautiful!

Delicious cakes! Made sure that I got what I wanted which was against the norm (multiple cakes of all different flavors) and my guests were going back for seconds and taking cake home with them!

I couldn’t have asked for better service or a prettier cake. They did an amazing job. Called a week in advance to make sure the order was still correct and no changes needed to be made and that they knew where they were delivering. I can’t recoment then enough. Worthy every penny. Not only was the service great and the cake beautiful it tastes simply amazing!! Thank you!

We selected a 3 layer dulce de leche cake for about 90 guests and it was WONDERFUL--rich and sweet and delicious. We go a lot of compliments from guests!
