Whimboy Echavez Photography

endor we were going to have, a photographer, would make us feel comfortable. Let’s start with how he’s different. He took time with us to video chat and learn about us before we even talked wedding details, packages and pricing. He allowed us into his life and shared details of his career and his family, and truly was just an authentic person we immediately wanted to capture our love. He made his intentions clear- it was about capturing our story and the night with our family. He made it known this was art, and something he felt very strongly about doing right. He felt more like a friend than a vendor and there was no point in looking elsewhere. Come to the day of, he was so calm and inviting. He allowed the day to go as it was meant to, but knew when it was time to be structured when there was “perfect lighting” or when “this would be a great shot”. He knew how to direct us when he needed to. Our family and friends adored him, he truly fit right in. Many moments we didn’t even know he was there- he was taking candids and capturing all the interactions we will treasure forever. His work is truly art and we are forever grateful. If you are looking for stunning photos that look like a fairytale- pick a venue that speaks to you and your partner and choose Whimboy to photograph the day.

lly, his easygoing and playful disposition made the experience fun for my wife and myself and added much warmth and emotion to the photos as well. Celeste did a wonderful job with my wife's makeup, and her expertise added extra class and sophistication to my wife's expressions. Highly recommended!

oses! Would not hesitate to get him again and recommend to all my friends who want high quality photos for their events.

nes! We had a lot of fun working with him. I definitely recommend him to anyone!

sive. The pictures are beautiful and absolutely everything I wanted for a lasting memory

e. On top of that we have countless quality photos to look back on! They both take the time to get to know the client and are extremely friendly. By the time of the wedding, we saw them as good friends which made the whole experience smooth and natural. If you are looking for a balanced mix of posed and candid shots, this vendor is the perfect fit for you! They were there when you needed them to make sure we stayed on track but were not obtrusive at all. Even during the era of COVID, they will make your special event seem like everything is perfect and maintain safety at all times! 10/10 would book again!

ut Whimboy made it enjoyable and fun. He is a great photographer and I would definitely recommend him. Thanks for the great photos man and looking forward to our wedding!

e who was relaxed, easy going, and made us feel comfortable. He is exactly all those things and our photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined. He truly cares about his clients and took the time to get to know us to make sure our personalities and relationship came through in the photos. His wife, Celeste, is also my number one make up recommendation and they work together so well. Book Whimboy and you won't regret it!

and smile and perfectly captured those moments. The photos came out beautifully and I can’t help smiling everytime I look at them. I highly recommend him. Thank you Whimboy!

people feel feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whimboy and Celeste showed up to our wedding on time, and, like other reviewers have said, were everywhere all the time but never noticed by anyone. Seriously, they were so unobtrusive but still managed to be really warm and friendly to everyone all while capturing such amazing and thoughtful shots! While I absolutely loved the posed photos, some of my favorites are the more candid ones; they were able to capture everyone's emotions so beautifully. Whimboy and Celeste really made our wedding so happy and memorable - I highly recommend them for any photography needs!

h countless online reviews and found Whimboy to consistently be on top of every list available, modern, candid, and fun. After booking Whimboy for our event, we found working with him and his wife, Celeste, to be completely stress-free. They were both proactive, asked all the right questions, and a perfectionist throughout. It was clear they were both experienced and walked us through many aspects we quite frankly didn’t think of. Whimboy’s style is what I’ve been looking for and wanted, and until now, could not stop looking at the photos. We didn’t know half the time what was happening until he shared the photos with us and we’re really happy that he was able to capture all those moments! Celeste did my make-up and she did not leave my side. She was there throughout whenever retouch was needed while Whimboy took the portraits. I don't wear make up often and she was able to get the look and feel that I was looking for. Our evening wouldn’t have been so perfect without their hard work and dedication. Working with them is the best combination you can get when planning a wedding! Thanks Whimboy and Celeste for making our wedding day so memorable. For those interested in finding a trustworthy (dynamic duo!) professional & reliable photographer, and a make up artist, for a wedding (or special event), we definitely recommend them to help you enjoy a relaxed and unforgettable experience!

photo shoot, took a number of different shots, got the photos back to us quickly, and the photos turned out great.

e. And the photos he takes! He is everywhere all time, but never noticed by anyone. He is the ultimate photographer, and he took so many fabulous photos! We found ourselves wondering how he got some of the wonderful photos he did. He even captured amazing photos of my husband and I dancing - action shots like that are so hard to get. Looking through the photos was like being at our wedding all over again.

l moments and even went out of their way to make my jetlagged daughter (toddler) smile. A true hotographer who makes and captures moments. I would highly recommend him

e photographer because he blended in beautifully with our family. His level of professionalism, his sense of humor and unmatched ability to create photo memories is unlike any I have ever experienced. He and his team have the amazing ability to turn your special day in to an experience of a life time. In the end, he provides a finished product in record time, containing some of the most breathtaking photos that help to recapture your special day all over again. Before you select another photographer, I would highly recommend you select Whimboy Echavez Photography. You will not be disappointed!

m! His photos are bold and clear. His personality is very down to earth. He is not one of the photographers that pushes his business on to you, you just want to ask him about it yourself; especially after you see his work. Not just weddings but seeing his view on family portraits brings him to a universal field. Truly a company that will be around for years to come!

discuss our wedding logistics and hit it off at once. He communicates punctually and professionally and definitely keeps you in the loop. Our photos came out beautifully and definitely captured the best day of our lives. He’s able to bring out the best in people, lighting, and environments. He made our wedding day much more memorable. You cannot go wrong with Whimboy and please get him for your next event/wedding.

ve so many to choose from - it's unreal. Before we chose him for our wedding, We met Whim for coffee and had such a blast talking with him about life, family, and what drives him in capturing awe-inspiring shots. Even in a half day shoot, he captured more than we could ask for and beautiful shots of my friends and family. I could not have asked for a better photographer. If you want gorgeous, magazine worthy wedding pictures, THIS is the one!

warm and fun people who make you feel comfortable and only made our wedding more memorable and enjoyable. Initially met up with them at a bookstore for coffee and immediately felt at ease with them. Whimboy does amazing photos and definitely makes the most of the environment and settings. We would not hesitate in recommending them to other people for their events/weddings.

out our family histories and about how we met and how he met his wife. He was touched and inspired by our story and we connected on a level that just felt like catching up with a friend instead of meeting a professional photographer for the first time. He was always open to communicate whether by phone or email and answered the barrage of questions we sent his way over the months leading to our big day with courtesy and grace. He advised us on best time of day for the best outdoor shots and came and scoped out the venue on his own. He also has very flexible payment options which had us worry free in that department. But come the big day we were delighted to meet his beautiful wife and amazing kids. His wife assisted him nearly the whole event. We were blown away and had no idea we were getting 2 photographers in essence. His energy was high but so was his passion for his art and our families. Everything felt natural and he is literally all over the place. Just when you thought he was somewhere else he'd be in the corner catching an epic action shot of our guests. He truly is part of the family in my eyes. We keep in touch to this day, encouraging and supporting each other. I'm telling you, you're getting a tremendous value in just meeting Whimboy, but also booking him for your Huge occasion. Brides to be, booking Whimboy takes a huge burden off your planning plate. There is nothing left to chance with him on your team 😎

changing of the leaves made for a great backdrop. While I love all the staged/ prepared shots, the candid ones are some of my favorites. Whimboy also delivered the photos quickly and in a cute wooden box with his logo on it. Booking Whimboy for our wedding day was one of the best decisions. My husband and I are completely loving looking back st the whirlwind of our wedding day. He even made my ugly cry during the vows look beautiful.

ing It was our first meeting! He was very accomedating and made sure I got all the shots I wanted. I found out that day that a few days before the proposal he and his wife took the time to meet up with my husband at the location and helped plan the exact way to position us so that the picture was framed perfectly. He also took the time to walk around the location and come up with great ideas for our engagement shoot. I can’t thank him and Celeste for all the hard work to make the proposal perfect for us! Whimboy and Celeste instantly make you feel comfortable. Like you're spending time with a close friends and that was important to me! It led to amazing pictures and memories I will cherish for a lifetime. I can’t recommend him enough!

e first time we meet up to discuss what we were looking for he made the whole process so easy and like he was part of the family. The photos that he captured were hands down amazing!! He is such a great person. If you are looking for a world class photographer Whimboy is your man.

y recommend him for your next event . I live in Pittsburgh and l may need him to come here some day ..🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

event! They make you feel at ease, and work so well as a team. I wish I could give Whimboy 10 stars!

mmend!

engagement pictures which he took, it was clear that it was the right choice. He was able to capture the sweetness of their affections. I finally met Whimboy at the wedding, and he was really engaging and easy to work with. He was friendly and made everyone feel at ease. From beginning to end, he captured the special vignettes throughout the day but he was not intrusive. I just saw the wedding photos, and truly they were fantastic. We are grateful to him for documenting those moments that will live in our minds forever.

. We got back over 1000 photos from our wedding both formal and candid and they were a joy to look though. I love them all, it will be tough to narrow them down to a smaller photo book selection. Whimboy was one of our favorite vendors that we worked with for our wedding. He did our engagement photos and said that the engagement photos are mostly for the groom so that they feel comfortable in front of a camera by the time the wedding rolls around. I think both of us needed that in front of the camera experience and he definitely made us feel comfortable and relaxed. His wife Celeste was my makeup artist (the trial was the day of our engagement photos) and for all of the bridesmaids and did such a professional amazing job. <3 We looked gorgeous! We stayed pretty much on schedule for photographs are he was able to get lots of shots in that period of time. He humored us after the ceremony by getting on a ladder to get a shot of all 185 of our guests in their seats from above. It was an amazing shot! His sister was in town and was our second photographer. She captured a lot of the decorative details as well as intimate and candid moments with our guests that we are so glad to have. The whole family is down to earth and personable and a joy to be around. Thank you for being a part of our wedding!

e able to have pictures we can have for a life time. He made working with him very comfortable and never awkward at all. I will always recommend him to family and friends! Thanks again Whimboy!

great photographer for your event.

During our engagement photo session, I don't think we stopped laughing for very long, it was a two hour session but it did not feel anywhere that long. The wedding went well; he was a fun and amazing part of the ceremony and his warm open personality connected with everyone. He will help your wedding be fun!

ay.

res he had taken. Thank you Whimboy. You are the best!

s to work in, and yet he gave her the most beautiful wedding pictures ever! The clouds, wind and even the snow were no match for Whimboys gift of making amazing photo memories for our entire family. We have another daughter getting married in 3 weeks and are so happy Whimboy was available to do this wedding shoot also! Not only is he our photographer of choice, we actually consider Rey and Celeste our friends. Book him! He’s the best!

ents of the day. He has boundless energy and determination to "get the shot," but he is unobtrusive in doing so. Moreover, he is able to navigate through the stressful moments of the occasion with a contagiously cheerful attitude. For our outdoor wedding in May, Whimboy wasn't fazed by the rain, but helped everyone to have smiles on their faces and enjoy the moment. Last but not least, we have so appreciated Whimboy's servant heart and encouragement as a brother in the Lord.

o think about while we were planning. He even agreed to travel when we asked if he could still be our photographer after the wedding moved out of state. We were so busy on our wedding day that we didn't have time to keep track of anything, but Whimboy was on top of making sure we got all the photos we had planned with him. It rained during all of our outdoor shots, but his positivity helped everyone have a great time and it showed in all the amazing photos he took. We're not even sure how he managed to get some of the photos because it looks like he was multiple places at once. Whimboy captured a lot of great moments during our wedding and we are really happy with the photos!

wife is there to help out along the way !! Both super sweet and professional! Our album was customized to our satisfaction and we will cherish our memories forever. I fully recommend their services and we will be using them for future special events.

disappointed. We love his creativity, attention to detail and the jokes, he kept us laughing. Thanks for always being a professional and capturing the moments and our memories.

super fun to work with. His style is natural and relaxed--no awkward/fake poses, which is definitely our style. We met with him and his wife, Celeste for a consultation, and we knew right away that we wanted to book them. Our photos are gorgeous (and we are not naturals in front of the camera!). Celeste will do your makeup for an additional fee--I'm not much for makeup, so wanted a "natural" look, which came out beautifully. We cannot wait for our September 2018 wedding and are confident that our wedding photos will be just as beautiful as our engagement photos.

overwhelmed that it was tremendous help to have Whimboy be part of my team. He was always trying to be accommodating, working with and around other vendors (officiant, stylists, etc) and find solutions. Not only was he courteous to my guests, he was also focused on getting the shots I wanted and making sure my guests felt relaxed. His approach was so naturally friendly that other vendors thought he was part of the family. And that is really the essence of his approach: he works with you like you're family. I was also impressed from the moment I received the photos. I got my USB in a delicate wooden box with his logo - all thoughtfully presented. And the photos are amazing. He was the only photographer on site, which meant more pressure on him to capture the right moments. And he did! From the intense look on our eyes during the ceremony, to the emotional toasts, to our first dance, and to family letting go on the dance floor - Whimboy captured it all. I often go back to the photos to look back at the most amazing and overwhelmingly happy day of my life. I'm extremely happy we chose him to capture our wedding.

ence was fun and memorable! We had a photo shoot in a DC museum between the church ceremony and reception, and we literally had only 30 minutes to shoot at the museum before they closed, but Whimboy pulled off such amazing shots despite the time constraints. He even gamely took pictures of us walking in the rain, since we were in such a rush in and out of the museum. It speaks volumes about his professionalism and passion for his craft! He cares for his clients and really took our ideas and preferences to heart. We were thrilled that the final photos were beautiful as he was able to capture moments during our wedding in impeccable detail. Whimboy is a photographer you can rely on. We can't thank him enough!

wedding in 2012 that’s what we had. It was raining all day and tents were being blown away but because of Whimboy’s unperturbed composure and enthusiasm in what he does – none of those problems are visible in our wedding pictures. All our pictures came out amazing! The whole time, despite all the craziness he was cheering everyone up, he would tell jokes, share funny stories to make people laugh and not worry about what was going on. It is an understatement to say that he is a great photographer and that his photos are amazing. What sets him apart from the rest is – he has an eye for even the simplest details and can capture it in a very artistic way. He finds “magic” in ordinary objects, situations, people, and events and can make it really extraordinary. His passion for this craft is visible and can be felt in his photos. A truly remarkable artist!
