Life changed for us as we welcomed our son into the world. We went to Kate & Taylor to ask what our options would be to reschedule. They were beyond helpful & understanding. We were able to reschedule for 2023. Fast forward to our wedding day and it was beyond perfect. The girls are so nice, welcoming & are there to help make the day as seamless as possible. They were always great to communicate with and answer any questions. I cannot recommend The Barn at Sycamore Farms enough! They have weddings & events down to a science!

MOB has ever taken since my own wedding. It gave me time to gather my composure just as I crossed the bridge to take it all in. Breathe in the moment. The fountain, the sycamore tree, the veranda and the barn itself made it one special day. The bride's room was gorgeous with its crystal chandelier and spacious enough for getting everyone ready. Kate and her teammates assisted us from the start of the day to the end. She was always quick to answer out emails and phone calls. We highly recommend The Barn at Sycamore Farms. It was perfect for us!

Taylor Myers was so incredible to work with and responded to all of my calls, texts, and emails promptly throughout the planning process. Although it is on the pricier side, you will get every penny's worth with this place. It's beautiful, there are dedicated spaces for the bride & groom, the grounds are gorgeous, and the reception space itself is just perfect. It is so well run and organized, which really reduced my stress during planning. I could not recommend this place enough for your wedding or next event!

e have been countless events held there since it opened, it still looks (and smells!) brand new. We had the joy of working with Kate, and she was amazing! She was always so quick to get back to us on calls and emails. Even when she was out on maternity leave, the other staff members were very attentive too, so I know that's their standard practice. With each correspondence we had with them, we never felt like "just another wedding". They were just as excited about our special day as we were. The prop room that you can rent out was so helpful too! Not only is it a cheaper way to decorate the space, but it's also very convenient to not have to bring in all your own decor and worry about hauling it out at the end of the night. Our guests loved the space, and it was a fun way for the out of towners to see a part of Tennessee that isn't so busy and congested. The whole venue has so many beautiful options for photos too. It feels large, but when you are inside with all your guests, it feels intimate and homey. It truly is the perfect space!

definitely recommend this venue because of the wonderful staff and personal. My only suggestion is for the barn to update/ fix a lot of the items in their prop room and to make sure the fans outside are working. We purchased the prop room thinking it would be easier to use the barns decor however the room is full of broken and mismatched items. It definitely needs an update for the price they charge. We were married 04 Sept 2022 ( a hot day in TN). When we requested the fans be turned on we were told "they are fidgety and only work sometimes". For the cost of the venue there should absolutely be working fans. Overall this was the most wonderful day because I got to marry the love of my life:)

med. After booking, we got married a little over a year later this past March, and could not have asked for a more perfect day, the weather was incredible and the perfect temperature. The Bridal suite was perfect when it came to 12 bridesmaids, Mother of both Bride and Groom, as well as 4 hair/make up artist. The Grooms quarter is the perfect design for guys. Sycamore also offers the option of the Prop Room, which is without a doubt one of the many things I fell in love with. Everything from vases, to couches/chairs, accent tables/dressers, signage, corn hole boards, etc. It helped pull my vision all together, at a much affordable rental cost, and anything & everything can be used regardless of your colors & theme. After touring a handful of venues, our tour experience and the manager there was what drew us in. Kate is incredible and honestly, my saving grace. She truly means it when she tells you to contact her with ANY questions. Every question will be answered, even if its reassuring your decor selection, complaints with wedding party, or being a helpful hand. On top of that, she is there on the big day and makes sure everything is exactly how it has been planned to be. We are so thankful to have had our big day at the most stunning venue and cannot have imagined working with anyone else besides Kate. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and without a doubt would recommend The Barn at Sycamore to anyone!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

She was so helpful with everything from ideas using their wonderful prop room to executing a plan B for all the rain we had the morning of the wedding amongst many other things she helped us with . We truly couldn't have put together such a beautiful wedding without all of Kate's help. Especially with being out of state. early given upon booking and in the contract. They accommodated when we asked to visit the venue a few times prior to our wedding date. The catering options they give are actually really great caterers. The venue is obviously beautiful and we loved that the covered verandas added areas for guests to mingle during the reception (and serve as a rain backup plan without having to worry about tents, etc.). The only difficulty we had was how the 12 hour time frame impacted our scheduling. This would likely be easier to plan if you plan your timeline a little earlier on in the wedding process. For a normal/large size bridal party for hair and makeup, you may need to have multiple stylists if you are planning on an late afternoon start. Our wedding time slot was 11am-11pm and wedding start time was at 4:30pm. We ended up needing to get ready offsite to be ready on time. This may have just been coordination on our end- but something to think about for future couples. They also offer extra time to be added to the day for a fee. We also appreciated Kate being on site the day of, she was super sweet that day!

The bottom line, they are more concerned about their revenue stream than helping their customer, a bride in dealing with the COVID pandemic while trying to keep her guests safe. If you book this venue, you need to know what you are dealing with, a contract is a contract. It is non-negotiable regardless of your situation. In our case, because we really wanted to host a wedding at this venue, while trying to negotiate new terms with them, they sold our new date to someone else without even checking with us. They assured us they would contact us first. What business does this? This is not a business geared toward customer service. None of us expected a global pandemic when we booked a year in 2019 before the original wedding date in 2020. Our advice is read the entire contract and understand what you are signing, maybe even get the assistance of a lawyer because they have a clause in the contract that the client has to pay their legal fees to uphold the contract. We, like many others, have learned the hard way, what it means to sign a contract that does not allow cancellations under ANY circumstances. There are many venues that have a cancellation clauses in their contract for cases like this and they will work with you. All of our vendors were sensitive to our plight and were willing to reschedule the date to a safer time, no increased fees and none of them were surprised this venue did this to us-that says a lot to us and should you too. Please learn from our costly mistake both financially and emotionally. It is no fun to pay for a wedding twice. Buyer Beware unless you too want to go through the aggravation of paying twice for a wedding and having to start your planning all over again.

The Barn at Sycamore Farms in short, was completely non-empathetic to our situation, could have cared less what happened to us and did not even consider what was and what is happening during these veryunprecedented times of COVID-19. Beware of The Barn This is our story: My Fiancé Brian and I booked our wedding date at The Barn for November 1st, 2020 at Sycamore Farms. We all know 2020 has certainly been the year of reckoning and our family is of no exception. As required, we used the “preferred vendors” listed by The Barn to avoid “financial penalties”. This is imperative information due to the nature of this story. As a result of the Global Pandemic, (COVID-19) I was laid off. Simultaneously, my Fiancé got into a terrible car accident which resulted in our truck being completely totaled. A devastating series of events. More money was owed to the bank than the truck was valued at – we are talking thousands of dollars. We had saved for this wedding; we were paying the bill! No one could have ever expected these events to occur and no one could have predicted that a Global Pandemic would still be around TODAY! Sadly, we came to an exceedingly difficult decision - the wedding needed to be canceled. We requested our deposit back from not only The Barn at Sycamore Farms but also from the “preferred vendors”. Every single vendor that The Barn required us to use, returned all our deposits yet The Barn refused! The Barn then had the nerve to let us know not only would they NOT be giving us our deposit back but notified us of our next due payment. What was important for The Barn was their money and their contract. Empathizing with our situation, the reality of the current worldwide pandemic, was not relevant to The Barn. For couples who believe their wedding should be hosted at The Barn at Sycamore Farms, we strongly advise you to look elsewhere. We certainly hope no other couple fall victim to them. No form of a refund nor opportunity to negotiate a refund was made available and certainly no empathic actions towards our crisis were given to us. Beware of The Barn

smen suites have great vibes and are super spacious. And I love the flow from the ceremony on the island to cocktail hour under the huge covered patio area, and then the reception indoors. It's a simple progression for guests. Lastly, being able to do everything on property is super helpful. ecause we had an outside ceremony on the island but even if it wasn’t, their rain plans are just as beautiful. I would have been okay with it if it had rained! The bridal suite was amazing. So cute and very accommodating. The grooms quarters was perfect for my guy and his guys! They had so much fun. And the PROP ROOM!! Let me tell you it’s worth it! It’s just a little bit extra but you can use anything and everything in that room. We used tables and games and signage and furniture and lanterns and candles and votives and vases and table decor. You name it, they have it up there. It was amazing. I would highly recommend this venue!!

he day we toured the venue through the entire day of the wedding. The bridal suite and groom suite are the perfect and most relaxing places to get ready and spend time with our family and friends before the ceremony. Also, I loved having the variety of places to hold our wedding reception because the weather in Nashville in May is very unpredictable. Although we hoped to be married on the beautiful island, it rained just hours before the ceremony and so we moved the ceremony under the back porch area. It was absolutely beautiful, and we had an absolutely wonderful ceremony. The reception area was perfect, as well. Our guests had plenty of room to eat and dance, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The staff there was phenomenal and made our entire day absolutely wonderful. This venue was phenomenal and definitely helped make our dream wedding day a reality!

a. The chandelier in the barn really added a lot and made it not feel like the typical Tennessee barn wedding venue. The barn did not feel crowded, and there was plenty of room to include a band, dance floor, and a photo booth with our 190 guest count. I would probably give this venue more of a 3.5 rating, and here is why: 1) We had a very poor experience with communication. For example, in a crazy confusion of the A/V package, we were told by a venue representative that they actually didn't know what the A/V package included. Additionally, there were many other instances in which we were confused, such as being told differently than what our contract said pertaining to when forms were due, sent a 90 day payment reminder from a venue representative two months before our wedding (sparking fear that a) our 90 day payment was never received and that b) they had the wrong date on file), just to name a few. Our point of contact changed a few months after our initial booking, which could explain some of the confusion. 2) Fortunately we did not rack up any fees, but contract language includes many ways to get fined (comparatively speaking, much more than other venues). Luckily, we had an awesome planner familiar with the venue's policies, Sweetwater Events, but we couldn't escape the feeling that we were walking on eggshells. A huge thing to know about this venue is the trash situation: they do not have a trash receptacle on site, therefore you can have your caterer take all trash off site to their personal business trash receptacle (which we had to pay an additional $400 for ours to stay at the venue from the end of dinner time to the end of the reception time), work out your own way of doing the trash removal with a lot of headache and likely additional expense, or if any bagged trash is left on site, it is charged an amount per bag resulting in an additional fee. 3) The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL, which is the whole reason we chose it. About two hours before my ceremony, it POURED rain unexpectedly. Then, the sun came out and the paved walk to the bridge immediately dried up, thanks to the power of the hot sun (it was in the 90s that day). I am not sure how this issue could best be tackled, but a construction flaw in the back veranda and the island is a significantly uneven surface, which means that if it rains a decent amount within, I'd say, 12-24 hours of your wedding, it will likely affect your use of the outdoor space. The back veranda had to be squeegeed off in parts, as there were sporadic huge puddles on the concrete ground as rain flooded parts of the veranda. The island had a similar issue; understandably, the aisle (center of the island) was super worn down. Unfortunately for us, though most parts of the island had mostly dried up enough to walk on (in those two hours of baking sun), there were still puddles inches deep in the aisle, resulting in us not being able to use it. Again, I am no construction expert, but I do feel this issue could be improved (and my wedding day would have been much easier if it was never an issue to begin with). This factor made it seem like such a gamble to choose a venue based on the strong hope of an outdoor wedding. Hopefully this is helpful information, as I appreciated many reviews during my wedding planning!

to any and all questions/ concerns I had. We talked for a year from booking the venue up to the wedding. On the day of, there were landscapers getting the grounds ready early in the morning. They paid great attention to detail when it came to things like knocking down spider webs and cleaning bird poop. Even with changes we made the day of the wedding, the staff was accommodating and professional. I’m glad we selected this place, and I would recommend Sycamore to anyone!

There's a great patio large enough for an outdoor wedding feel while staying out of the rain. For the decor, they have a prop room filled with all sorts of goodies and a few specialty furniture pieces. The floor plan is spacious and they have a spectacular chandelier that makes the room more elegant, which I love in combination with the barn aesthetic. This barn is more refined. were looking for and looked beautiful. We were given a list of preferred vendors to use, but according to the contract, we were only required to pay a $500 fee for a non-approved caterer. We went forward with our plans, and things went smoothly. Two weeks before the wedding, we received an email from Kristina, who works for Southern Events, and she told us that we were using the wrong vendor for our rentals, and that Southern Events had exclusive rights to the venue. We explained that wasn’t how it was worded or stated in our contract, and we felt that two weeks before the wedding was a little short notice if we had to change our rental vendor. We had already made all our payments with everyone by this point. We told our wedding planner to reach out to the manager from Sycamore, to see if this was going to be a problem. The manager told the planner the issue again (again, nowhere did we agree to use any rental vendor in the contract) and said she would talk to Kristina and decide. We didn’t get a final confirmation from the manager until a day and half later, even though Kristina told our planner it was fine before that. A day and a half is a long time when you may have to make wedding altering plans and stressed my wife out completely because we had no final answer. After the manager answered, she told us we had to pay $500 dollars for a non-preferred vendor, but she would waive the fee. We told her nowhere in the contract did it say anything about a fee for rentals, so we don’t know why we would be charged a fee at all. All in all, the venue was great, however, customer service at the venue could be improved, in our opinion the manager was unfriendly and seemingly unappreciative of our business.

We were going to have the ceremony under the large tree, but it rained that day. Luckily, everyone was amazing and we made a change.
