on meeting with Lisa in January 2021, we knew we would be in excellent hands. We were immediately treated like family and knew we weren't just another customer to not only Lisa but to the entire staff of Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt. Since all of our guests would be traveling from NJ to DE, we wanted to make it a weekend-long event, which Lisa worked her magic to make happen. A beautiful bonfire on the bayside the night before, a fantastic reception, and brunch the following morning. Everything was organized perfectly and went off without a single worry on our end. On the day of the wedding, we learned that our cake from a local vendor did not arrive. Lisa and her team worked to try and contact the vendor to no avail. With little to no time left to get it done, Lisa and her team quickly resolved the issue and had a cake ready for the ceremony. Our guests said the cake was amazing and had no clue it wasn't the planned cake until we told them. Now for the venue... perfect, perfect, perfect. The Hyatt itself is easily one of the best hotels in the area and has consistently been our go-to place to stay. The view of the bay is unmatched. Our ceremony was on the deck and was set up perfectly, the pictures are phenomenal. During the cocktail hour, the pre-function space was a huge hit. During the reception, having access to the main ballroom, pre-function area, and deck with firepits gave every guest a choice of location for what fit them best. The food was incredible and went above and beyond our expectations. All of our guests commented on how amazing the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were. And the crab cakes?! The best you'll find in the area. Overall we could not be any happier with our day. Lisa, Hannah, Maeson, and Jacque (plus all of the other wonderful staff) made our wedding dreams come true and we will forever be a part of the Lighthouse Cove/Hyatt family!

We got so many compliments on the venue, the food, and the service. So many people told us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. ion in the Sunset Room. Lisa and her staff really made our wedding weekend so special. From the considerate surprises throughout the weekend to the attentive service, we were truly able to relax and just enjoy the entire weekend. We booked our wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center after our first tour of the venue. The water views are stunning, the on-site hotel is perfect for guests, and the central Dewey Beach location is ideal! Plus, we knew that we wanted to work with Lisa and her wonderful staff! She was so helpful and reassuring during the entire process. We even had an issue with our original florist just a few weeks before our wedding and Lisa kept us calm and put us in contact with a different vendor who really brought our entire vision to life. We couldn’t have done this without her! Our guests are still talking about the delicious food and excellent service. In addition to our wedding, we hosted a morning after brunch in the Prefunction Room the next morning with a large buffet of delicious breakfast foods and it was a hit! Lisa and her staff made sure to carry over leftover flower arrangements, centerpieces, and our audio guestbook. They even played our slideshow from the night before. It was stunning! All of our friends and family talk about wanting to repeat this weekend over and over exactly the same way, and my husband and I already plan to spend our anniversaries at the Hyatt in Dewey for years to come. We are so grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the Lighthouse Cove Event Center!

the facility so we reached out to the venue and the next day we had a phone conference with Lisa! We immediately felt her warmth and understood her love and deep knowledge for her profession! A few weeks later we visited the site and decided that this would be our location... we were elated! Both my husband and I love the water and sunsets and we simply couldn't find a better venue with the service, views, location, amenities, and people that LHC had to offer. Our date was originally set for March 27th 2021, but Covid surged and so with Lisa's patience and guidance we moved the date to May 15th. Unfortunately, we had family and guests who were still uncomfortable so we decided to move our date to April 2, 2022. Lisa treated us with kindness and understanding. She was patient and did not make us feel guilty for our decision... she worked diligently to help us make the changes needed. She is truly the most professional person who truly cares about the people she is working with more than anyone I have ever met. We ended up having a micro wedding in May of last year and a big celebration at Lighthouse Cove just this month.... and it was amazing. Every detail was perfect. Every need was met. (I have a lot of food allergies.) Every staff member was kind and professional. It was an amazing night that Lisa and her staff worked so hard to make sure went off without a hitch. No matter how organized or disorganized you are... no matter if this is going to be a huge wedding or a small celebration (we had about 50 people)... you will be cared for like family. And at the end of the day... shouldn't we all feel like family? Thank you Lisa, Mae, Joe, Chef, and all of the other hard working staff members who made our day special.... you are forever in our hearts!

What really sealed the deal for me was Lisa, the venue's wedding coordinator. From Day 1 she made us feel like we were family. She is caring, understanding, and extremely attentive and helpful. We met the rest of the staff on the day of our wedding, and they too went above and beyond to make sure we, and our guests, were well taken care of. When we realized that we didn't have enough indoor aisle decorations, Lisa quickly created last minute aisle decorations that were perfect! This staff is incredibly accomodating and perform their jobs with excellence. Our guests continue to rave about the delicious food, great venue spaces, the staff, and the accomodations. 1 1/2 years planning all through COVID restrictions with many different options but with all restrictions were lifted the day of the wedding, the entire staff, servers, bartenders along with Lisa and Ashlee pulled it all together to make it a wedding that everyone will remember for quite some time for 247 guests. remember searching for a dog friendly hotel near Rehoboth (a frequent favorite beach spot) while road tripping home from a vacation to the outer banks with some of our best friends. We stumbled upon the Hyatt Place, Dewey Beach and were warmly greeted by Jeffrey, who was (and has consistently been) so sweet and welcoming each visit. He told us all about the hotel, current events in Dewey, and the most dog friendly places nearby where our furry family members would be welcome. After walking around, we decided to extend our vacation. We came back in the winter with our dogs, who also love it there. That was the trip when we noticed they were creating a wedding venue that looked like exactly what we'd been looking for, the Lighthouse Cove Event Center. We were so blessed to have had such a stellar staff in our corner to see our wedding through such trying times. 2020 came with endless curve-balls, and there’s no doubt in my mind that we were in the best hands possible. Lisa constantly found ways to “ride the wave” and reevaluate the situation. Whether we were dealing with ever-changing pandemic regulations, capacity limits, vendor dropouts/replacements, or inevitable BAU last minute changes, Lisa took the time to understand our concerns, prioritize our desires, and plan accordingly. We spent many nights debating whether or not to postpone our wedding, but couldn’t be happier that we stuck it out because the loss of a loved one shortly thereafter dissolved any doubt we had prior to that decision. We credit Lisa’s maternal nature and genuine desire to not only meet, but exceed our expectations which helped to create one of the best days of our lives.. and one of the last days many family members got to spend with Niki’s sweet, beloved grandmother. The gratitude we feel cannot be measured by words; it’s simply priceless. While we cannot say enough about Lisa, we must pay credit and appreciation to the other staff members. From our very first interaction with Jeffrey, we were hooked. Fast forward a few years, our hearts and lives aligned with Lisa and her vision for us. Then we met Hannah and Sophie! They each spent countless hours planning the details of the day and sorting through the last minute hiccups any wedding is bound to endure. The fond memories flow deeply as we recount Orange Crushes poured by Pete, the epic menu served up by Chef Rob and his team, and that time Ken saved the day by keeping the rooftop pool open one more week so we could have the first looks we had envisioned. We can't forget about Katie gracing us (and our pups) with a smile and a laugh each day, Lorena greeting us after a late night outings (even baking us cookies after a late night dip onsite), and Drew seeing to it that we be met with hospitality at its finest. pandemic, was a bit of an emotional roller coaster and every time I spoke with Lisa, she worked diligently with us to make sure our special day was everything and more, despite the uncertainty in the world. I can’t re-iterate enough about how amazing Lisa is. The day before, and the day of, she was so organized and kept things running smoothly as our coordinater. She Is so incredibly knowledgable of all things wedding related, gave us so many tips, vendor suggestions and more importantly - moral support! She’s so kind and we just loved working with her! The staff was also so amazing on our wedding day and leading up to the day. They also were extremely accommodating when it came to changing the rooms in order to be compliant with COVID restrictions. We felt very safe and our wedding went off without a hitch. As for the venue, it is brand new and so incredibly beautiful with the view of the bay, access to the outdoor deck & fire-pits, and just a block away from the ocean! It was picture perfect. Also have to give a huge shout out to our bartenders - they were so much fun and our guests continue to rave about them! Let’s just say no one was ever without a drink in their hand and had the best time ever! We decided to make a week of our wedding since both families traveled 3+ hours and the Hyatt provided such amazing hospitality as well. It truly was the best week of our lives. Hannah ensured we were well taken care of in our condos and also included a few surprise cheeseboards and wine upon arrival! The wedding itself was so stress free for us, the staff set up/broke down everything and made everything feel so seamlessly put together! If you’re looking to have a stress-free beach destination wedding experience you NEED to check out Lighthouse Cove, you will not regret it!!!!!!

They are the most friendly, helpful group of people I have ever met. No request was ever a problem for them. Everyone commented on how good the food was at both the rehearsal dinner and wedding. My husband has commented numerous times since the wedding what a class act it was. The bartender Chris and, I believe the other gentlemen with him was Brandon, were two of the nicest people I've ever met. They made you feel like you had been friends for years. Everything ran so smoothly and, if there were any glitches, we never knew about them. Even though they said they had nothing to do with the gorgeous weather we had, I think somehow they even managed to arrange for a beautiful day. We will definitely recommend the Lighthouse as a venue.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the free breakfast in the morning was a great spot to gather and reminisce about the amazing party the night before. Hannah kept all of our out of town guests happy with our room block. Lisa, Drew, Pete, Chef and the entire banquet team made sure every detail was absolutely perfect the day of the wedding. gher than rates guests found online (granted they were for 4 nights as opposed to 2), but Hyatt Dewey did honor the lower rates once we brought it to their attention. Just would have liked to avoid the back and forth!

even got champagne when we signed our contract. We met with her a few times prior to the wedding in person with lots of email and text. She even comped a night for a room when she had to reschedule our meeting since we were 3 hours away. We did have a little trouble with slow communication and had to reach out a few times. The other hiccup we had was the fact that our dinner space layout was given to us 4 days before the wedding. I had already done our table seating at that point. So, it made extra work for me to redo seating to accomodate her specific arrangement. We had very arts seating arrangement bottles. So, it took some time. She was on top of things day before and day of .... she made our vision come to life and was on top of everything. Where we gave her creative liberties...She shined! She acted as our wedding coordinator as well. From the big to the tiny details...she made sure to leave no rock unturned. Our florist left us without some flowers,was unavailable to put up flowers, did not give proper hanging tools, and gave NO direction to our wedding coordinator... Mary Beth still pulled it off! A couple things that frustrated me...the venue pulled almost half of her staff the day before and during our wedding day to work at the local bars that they owned. For paying $10,000, you would think that our wedding day event that was booked 10 months in advance would take priority...Not Mary Beth's fault...That was the powers that be. I would make sure you get a guaranteed # of staff in your contract. We were told 10 and got 5. This pulled Mary Beth in multiple directions and made it difficult for her to do her job. My other issue was that the wait staff went on auto pilot and took mine and my fiance's plates when we got pulled to the dance floor for first dance, when we came back they were gone! This was literally right after dinner. Mary Beth said they do 2 hours after service, which did not happen...they took it sooner. I also didn't appreciate the excuse that couples typically don't get to eat on their wedding day because they are running around. Nothing ruining our wedding over, but frustrating because I had to beg the kitchen to bring me some leftovers that weren't quite what I wanted. (I'm hypoglycemic). The front desk staff was amazing...always attentive. Everyone was very accomodating to our request to incorporate our dog into the wedding and reception. They also left a cute arrangement of towels in the shape of a cake with flowers and hearts made out of material in addition to two bathrooms with our married name on it! GREAT PLACE! Recommendations....don't hesitate to pester Mary Beth if you need to...she often forgets to check email or respond. Also, make sure you get a guaranteed # of staff and the layout in advance so you can do Table #s. Also, I would specifically request that your food is NOT touched at all or if it is request that they ask before taking it. Also, they snag your champagne glasses right after toasts, whether you drink out of them or not...They say they've had issues with them breaking before. They did kind of make up for it by leaving those same glasses in our room with a full bottle of champagne. I'd recommend them.
