Running Hare was the perfect venue for our wedding in May 2026. From the beautiful vineyard ceremony space and the portico cocktail hour with panoramic views, to the classic reception hall - every part of the space flowed and made our wedding so special. In our very first visit, we knew this was the venue for us because -- beyond the vistas -- the team made us feel so welcome. Shout out to Sarah, who was an exceptional venue coordinator and answered all of our questions in the planning process. One thing that stuck with us was when the owner said "As a working winery - we love when couples that get married here come back to our tasting room and biergarten with their families to celebrate anniversaries and other occasions." We really feel like Running Hare will be part of our family story for decades to come.

sant to work with. Loved that she thought of things that would be needed and decided on that I may not have thought of or known. Things I did not particularly enjoy was the drink packages, we had to pay a minimum of $2500 and only just under 1k was used. So $1500 was just handed over. At end of night when bottles of wine was asked for we were told no. I figured it should have been ok being that it was technically paid for. We wish we could have had time to set up earlier because 3hrs just was not enough time to get all in order before ceremony started. I think the whole day could have been utilized and things would have went much better. Less stress and less feeling of being rushed to decorate and get started. I wish a grooms suite was there but that was known before securing of the venue. I wish a bathroom was closer to or in bridal suite. I had to show myself before I wanted to to people inside before ceremony just to use the restroom. I cannot wait for the pictures to come back. I never imagined being married outside or at a vineyard but Running Hare made both possible. Thank you The Cokleys

othly as possible. The ceremony site is amazing, and the Villa for the reception had all of the right furnishings and lighting to make this an unforgettable day. Our event coordinator, Taylor, did an amazing job providing all the information and accomodations we requested. The bridal suite was also amazing. Had enough space to accomodate all of the bride and bridesmaids belongings, and also provided ample space for them to get ready for the day. The bathrooms were kept clean and fully stocked throughout the duration of the event. The bar staff were very friendly and professional. Working with their preferred vendors was a very pleasant experience, given their expertise and knowledge of the venue and past relationship with the staff. My Wife and I would definitely reccomend this venue to anyone that wants to make their wedding day the best and most memorable day of their lives.

Not only was the venue absolutely breathtaking, the staff (shoutout to Taylor!) was kind, patient, knowledgable, and responsive. I didn't have one issue working with Running Hare while planning my wedding (seriously, not one). Every email and phone call was answered promptly and professionally. They went above and beyond (even gave me some unrelated wedding advice because I didn't know what I was doing!) to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted. fell in love. It was my taste of Europe right in Prince Frederick, MD. Looking for venues was exhausting before my mother in law suggested Running Hare. I had looked at over 20 venues and none of them felt right. When I saw Running Hare, it stuck. I went home and slept on it and then made another appointment to see the Vineyard again. I knew it was the one for me the first time I saw it but the second time really brought everything home. If you are looking for great professional and responsive staff, a beautiful space and some great wine, then Running Hare won't disappoint.

ing hare let us come back another day in order to retake some pictures that we weren't able to get due to the rain. Having a venue willing to do something like that is very hard to come by! The staff there was very accommodating and made sure our day was wonderful. It's also nice that you can go to running hare and have wine tastings and relax. It allows us to reminisce back on our wedding day. We couldn't had picked a better venue to have our wedding at!

Taylor, the site manager, is an absolute joy to work with and really makes sure all of your questions and needs are met. She weaved in and out the day of the ceremony only popping up when you realized you needed her and was ready to do anything you need! Seriously, book this venue. It will be the talk of your guests for MONTHS. It was a non stop discussion of how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything was orchestrated with their list of recommended vendors. It literally was my dream venue for our wedding day!

l Fall day, nice and sunny and warm enough to have our wedding outdoors in the vineyard itself, but we chose this place because it still would have been beautiful even if the day wasn't so cooperative. Barbara, the owner, is very friendly and easy to work with, and she was very full of suggestions for other venues that has been tried and true. I cannot wait to go back there with my husband and celebrate other special occasions or just sip on some wine and enjoy the views.

The location was incredibly romantic and my family has said that they will be talking about this venue for a long time. I loved how we were able to get married amongst the vines and walk in the vineyard for pictures. It was a beautiful and unique location as many vineyards don’t allow you to walk in between the rows of vines. This is a wonderful location and I would recommend it to everyone.

nicely! The only issues I would say would be the limitations the owner put on certain details. She doesn't allow the use of balloons, confetti, rice, or anything thrown on the property. She does not allow the use of candles indoors anymore, and overall seemed inflexible about certain issues. Concerning in/out time, you are allowed 5 hours total and starting at 5 we had to have all guests out by 10 and everything cleaned up by 11. And if not, we were charged a fee etc. She also gives you only two caterers to choose from. I can't say anything bad about the atmosphere because it is truly beautiful there however, the limitations that the owner has are a little uptight.

Even in February (when we first visited) and March (the wedding month), I knew the location was the perfect backdrop for the biggest day of my life. My fiance loved that it seemed so secluded, despite being mere minutes from the center of Prince Frederick (very clsoe to hotels, stores, and restaurants...for those guests who don't want to have to drive too far). RHV is an absolutely stunning venue with an even more stunning proprietor. Barb was such a pleasure to work with in planning our big day. She went out of her way to schedule a meeting with us, as she knew we were driving in from 2 hours away. Barb is a prompt and efficient email communicator, and responds to voicemails almost as quickly. You must use one of two caterers pre-approved by Barb, and we went with Canard's Catering, owned by Lisa Kelly. Clearly Barb knows good business(wo)men when she meets them, because Lisa was the perfect coordinator and caterer for our day. Your guests will be planning their next visit to RHV before they elave. Guaranteed!

r day of planning. We used mostly all of her vendor suggestions. We were married in the fall and thankfully did not have rain so we were able to hold the ceremony outside which was gorgeous. We had shuttles taking guests from the ceremony to the reception even though it's not too far because it's hard to navigate in heels and a big hill to climb for elderly or disabled guests. The reception went perfectly. Dark red tablecloths look amazing in the space, especially since it's a vineyard. We had about 200 guests with a large dancing area and a full band which was a perfect fit. Any more than 21 tables in the space (with a band and dance floor) would be pretty tight. Everyone raved about the vineyard, ceremony sight, wine, (especially the wine) and reception hall. You can't go wrong with Running Hare!!!

ave our wedding ceremony/reception we looked at RHV, but they did not have an events building so we moved on. A few months later (still with no venue) I got an email from them that included plans for a building. I immediately set up an appointment and we booked it that day. The views from the building are gorgeous, it looks like a small piece of Tuscany/Napa was plucked out and put right there. Barb, the owner/events coordinator, was so friendly and helpful through the whole process. I would recommend getting married here.
