Simple Kona Beach Weddings

the Big Island with barely five days’ notice, and somehow made the entire experience feel effortless, calm, intimate, and incredibly special from beginning to end. Throughout the process, Becky was warm, responsive, communicative, efficient, capable, supportive, and endlessly reassuring. From our very first conversations, she made us feel less like clients and more like family. She immediately put us at ease and took all of the stress and uncertainty out of planning a wedding on such short notice. What could have felt overwhelming instead felt peaceful, joyful, and exciting because of her guidance and care. Becky handled every detail seamlessly — including selecting the perfect beach location and photographer (thank you, Matt!) — and officiated the ceremony herself with such warmth, sincerity, and heart. She thoughtfully incorporated Hawaiian elements into the ceremony that added real depth, meaning, and beauty to the experience, including a beautiful lei ceremony with gorgeous plumeria leis that made the evening feel even more meaningful and unforgettable. She also timed the ceremony perfectly for sunset, creating the most breathtaking setting imaginable and resulting in absolutely gorgeous photographs that we will treasure forever. The entire evening was magical, intimate, beautiful, and absolutely perfect. We are so grateful to Becky for giving us the gift of peaceful preparation, for taking away the worry, and for creating such a memorable and deeply meaningful wedding day. We will always remember Becky with gratitude and affection, and the day with the most perfect joy.

tc. The day of our ceremony she and her husband photographer, met us at the beach at Four Seasons. The actual ceremony was emotional, had Hawaiian meaningful words and rituals that meant so much to us. Great photos too. We feel like we got so lucky choosing Becky and Simple Kona Beach Weddings.

flowers with the colors of my dress. Becky coordinated, everything superbly with a photographer and a live streaming team So everything went perfect. She even made the dinner reservations for us at the restaurant we had chosen. We highly recommend simple kona beach weddings for your ceremony.

tographer, hair/makeup and even a personal in house chef, everything was top notch! She made it so easy for us and we were able to really enjoy our day and not worry about the details. An added bonus was her husband, Matt, using our cell phones to take pictures so we didn’t have to wait for the professional ones and our guests didn’t have to be on photo duty! Everything was just wonderful! Thank you Becky and Matt for everything!

we could not have had a more perfect wedding. And the best part was how effortless Becky with Simple Kona Beach Weddings made it look. From the most beautiful location, permits, marriage license meeting, and dinner reservations, to the flowers, Ukulele music by Ali'i and professional photography (These photos are just the ones her husband Matt took with my iPhone -and they are AMAZING - we can't wait to get Karen's photos!) our wedding could not have been more filled with ease, joy laughter, deep heartfelt spirit and love. Such a wonderful combination that we truly know we gained friends for a lifetime! It is rare to feel so comfortable around people you just met. Jenn and I were celebrated and held in the most beautiful way during Becky's officiating, that we truly felt incredible ease on our big day. To feel so comfortable expressing ourselves to the deepest level with people you just met, is rare and so very precious. Thank you Simple Kona Beach Weddings... We'd give you 10 stars if we could. -Bex

ning. She met with us several times virtually and took the time to get to know us as a couple and included our family. We had a small intimate wedding with family present and it turned out perfectly! Could not have asked for a better day and better wedding planner! I would highly recommend her services!

work for the appropriate beach permits, finding someone qualified to perform the ceremony, finding a place for a celebration afterwards etc.) I quickly realised that this was a very overwhelming task, especially because we were planning it from the UK and the time difference is 12 hours! Becky totally took the stress out of this for me, so that I could concentrate on all the nice things to do with our vow renewal. During our initial video chat in February she really took the time to get to know us and we talked about the reasons we wanted to renew our vows along all of the elements we hoped to include. She then created a totally individual ceremony for us. We had some pretty specific requirements which were all incorporated on the day as well as all of the traditional Hawaiian elements which were woven together so perfectly. In the lead up to the ceremony, we were very unsure as to the amount of people that would be there on the day and we were also undecided on some things until a few days before, but there was never any pressure from Becky to make these decisions on the spot. She understood our situation and made the whole process very easy, relaxed and simple. The ceremony itself was very special and the location that was suggested was stunning. The words Becky had written for the ceremony were beautiful and Matt (Becky’s husband) took A LOT of photos on my phone. Many of them looked really professional. This allowed our guests just to enjoy themselves rather than having the pressure to get the perfect picture. Becky and Matt are both very warm and friendly people and we felt at ease with them immediately when we met them in person just before the ceremony. (Becky did say she would be willing to meet us the day before if we wanted to but we had enough confidence in her from previous email and phone interactions that all would be okay.) They have both lived on the Island for a long time and they know all the best spots. Becky not only planned and conducted our vow renewal, she also played a big part in organising our post renewal celebration. She made excellent recommendations based on our budget and the kind of atmosphere we were looking for. She emailed vendors for us to make introductions and any question we asked, she had an answer for. And we certainly had a lot of questions! Becky also made lots of other recommendations for trips we should consider, places we should visit on The Big Island and the best ways to organise excursions. A lot of these trips made our visit to the Big Island extra special. I would wholeheartedly recommend Simple Kona Beach Weddings for anyone considering renewing their wedding vows in Hawaii. It was a wonderful celebration of love in the perfect location and we had an incredible holiday. Thank you Becky for such great organisation beforehand and for playing such an important part in our very special day. Katie and Luke Smith x

ss and stress on our part. Becky knows everyone in Kona. She referred a great photographer (Hannah is SO talented), make up and hair people (shoutout to indigo grace artistry), the Ukelele player (Matthew Hanato even learned some new songs for us- he was amazing), the wedding license, and she referred us to a great reception and rehearsal venue (Fairmont Orchid- the luau and Browns). The people in Hawaii are on island time and as such can be slow to respond/ a bit disorganized (I’m a NYer and that is maddening for someone like me). Becky made sure everything was locked down on our schedule. Becky made sure every aspect of our wedding was planned and executed to the last detail. I cannot stress enough how much easier and less worrisome this made our entire experience (see what I did there?). When Kona businesses were slow to respond to our questions and reservations, we had but to mention it to Becky and we received a call immediately from the slow-to-respond parties. Becky is very helpful, detail oriented and most importantly, in tune to the vision that we had. Becky made sure every aspect of our wedding was planned and executed perfectly. She was able to uncover our blue sky vision for the wedding and enhance it with her experience and expertise. Becky likes to officiate the weddings and she did an amazing job of that too. Her ceremony included traditional Hawaiian elements and was very moving. 6/5 stars

Becky took control and managed everything. We couldn't have been more pleased or impressed with anyone else! Becky was professional, knowledgeable, honest and kind and made us comfortable planning a wedding so far away. Becky listened to everything we felt was important, but also incorporated local customs into the ceremony, making it truly memorable. She kept in touch with us and had several planning phone calls to finalize details. She thought of everything! We really enjoyed her dinner recommendations as well as tours and special things to see. She set up a "rehearsal dinner" and wedding night dinner for our small group and both were unbelievable venues and meals. She gave suggestions for hair and make-up based on my ideas, and coordinated meetings and communication. The day of the wedding, all we had to do was follow her timing directions and everything was taken care of. Sunset was during and after the ceremony, making it the perfect day. Becky and Matt both made our group feel like family. We can't wait to reminisce if we make it back to Hawaii!

ut to Becky to renew our vows on the beach. She handled every detail with such professionalism and empathy for our desire to have that beach experience. The location and the weather and the ceremony itself were perfect as were Becky's heartfelt words to us. She fulfilled a long-waited dream of ours and we are so grateful to her. We are also grateful to Matt for the photos he took. Quite the professional couple.

sunset beach wedding was magical. I would absolutely recommend booking with her.

d Hawaii’s true beauty. Upon first meeting with Becky she knew exactly what we wanted. She assisted with every detail and also served as my go to for communicating with all the vendors (six hour time changes can make communicating with vendors difficult). Becky was always reachable and was even there to assist as we arrived to Hawaii. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Becky and Matt were able to ease any stress we may have had. Planning a destination wedding is no easy task (silly me thought it would be easy than a traditional wedding) and I never would have been able to do it without Becky’s help.

o the service. Trust in her abilities and experience as she vetted each of the other vendors used for photography, food, make-up and hair, and flowers. All were amazing!

We were lucky to have her! If you want to get married on the big island, definitely use Becky!

ich was not a typical wedding reception but a fun multi-day trip for our group. She also helped us find everything we wanted - hotel, casual venues, nice sunset dinner, photographers, concierge for a sailing ⛵️trip , hair/makeup options. The works. She married us in the most intimate, special Hawaiian ceremony on a beautiful beach. It was spiritual in its own way and much more memorable than I was expecting. Her husband took my phone during the ceremony and gave me back about 200 photos on my phone - many of which were AMAZING and so wonderful to have immediately following the ceremony. Highly highly recommend.

h and positivity and gave us the most perfect wedding ceremony. I couldn't have planned it better myself, and the best part was that I didn't have to! It was so nice that she gave us every opportunity for input, but then made everything happen seamlessly. She is so gifted at planning and executing weddings, but more importantly, she is able to connect with people, make their wedding special, and put them at ease. The only thing that I worried about in choosing to get married on the beach in Hawaii was the humidity/heat causing me to be a sweaty mess. Well, that definitely happened! But Becky kept me from getting upset, blotted my face herself, brought a chair for me to cool off in, and made everything perfect. Her husband, Matt, is a ray of sunshine, too. He was so kind, friendly, and helpful. I could go on and on about them both, but do yourself a favor and book with Simple Kona Beach Weddings now!

beautiful and unforgettable ceremony. Couldn’t have been easier. Professional and personable, we highly recommend her!

he way, she keeps everything organized, she will answer all of your questions even if you've already asked her a million times. She has all the insider knowledge and goes above and beyond to make your celebration unique to you. She is prompt, organized, thorough, detailed, kind, flexible - everything. She is worth every penny and will bring you peace of mind.

t to get the beach wedding that we wanted in Hawaii on our own. Becky was very responsive to any questions that we had and she helped to coordinate our wedding in so many different ways. Becky did a great job making sure that we had the perfect sunset spot on the beach to arranging the flowers, to helping to set up our reception dinner, as well as guiding us to book awesome Hawaiian excursions for our group throughout the week. If you are planning to have your wedding on beach in Kona, Hawaii, we highly recommend Simple Kona Weddings. Pam & Tim Dilger

mpletely stress free. But, more than that, it was like we were getting married by an old friend. As soon as we met Becky and her husband, Matt, in person right before the wedding, it was like we knew them forever. They have such a great vibe! I wholeheartedly recommend Becky! Book her, trust me, you won't be disappointed.

entine's Day was available, and we had a beautiful ceremony in the morning as we had plans that evening. It was the perfect way to begin our day and our marriage.

emony was nothing less than perfect and exactly what we wanted. It was intimate and romantic. Her husband Matt was just as wonderful and helpful. We truly can't praise them enough. We consider them family! I would highly recommend hiring Becky for your wedding. She is truly wonderful and very professional.

client portal for recommendations on everything was a great tool as well. If you are thinking of getting married in Hawaii use Becky and you will not be disappointed. <3 Thank you Becky!

I was recently diagnosed with a severe heart condition that impacts daily functioning), we could not have planned our wedding without her constant assistance, reassurance, flexibility, compassion, and understanding. On the wedding day, my hair & makeup artist did not have basic equipment (e.g., a hairdryer) at her salon, overtly criticized and refused to execute any portion of the hairstyle and makeup I had requested (and she had promised) both a year and month in advance via provided pictures, and spent the entire time talking about insane conspiracy theories, such as the tragic Uvalde Elementary School shooting having been staged, a la Alex Jones. She never brought me a glass of water despite my asking three hours earlier upon arrival, asked about my wedding or partner, and then did not help me get dressed; I had to get myself into my gown and veil alone, which resulted in my shoes breaking, veil ripping, shapewear prominently displayed through the gown, and a big cut on my finger that was bleeding everywhere, with blood spatter even on the bodice of my gown. She then sent me outdoors, bleeding, barefoot, and crying, to wait for my groom (and over an hour late for my own ceremony). Thus, immediately prior to marrying my spouse, I was the complete antithesis of how I had pictured myself looking/feeling since childhood. (Spending $600 to look worse than I do on a routine basis while hearing disrespectful babble about murdered children was not how I envisioned my wedding day, or any hair/makeup session outside of a reality show on a fringe conspiracy network). However, whenever I arrived late for my own wedding, bleeding, hobbling, dizzy from dehydration and heat due to my heart condition and lack of water, looking and feeling visibly upset, Becky immediately smoothed things over by somehow fixing my shoe to enable me to walk down the beach, wrapping my bleeding finger in bandages, and telling me I looked beautiful, despite not feeling that way. Her presence is very comforting and authentic, and she genuinely cares about how you and your spouse feel emotionally and mentally. She also executes beautiful, detailed, and highly personalized ceremonies, even though she was admittedly not given much to work with on our end due to having a wedding party that went from 30 RSVPS to 0 over the course of a year. Becky changed our ceremony from a wedding to an elopement without any problems, and her husband further graciously videotaped the entire ceremony, so we were able to livestream it for friends and family back home. In light of the foregoing, I cannot recommend Becky more highly to any engaged couple, ESPECIALLY if/when the unexpected occurs. Both the Big Island and Becky are rare gems; your time spent in her care will yield breathtaking memories.

& most reliable vendors in the area to ensure a seamless process and wedding day. You can really feel the love and care she gives to her couples, It shines through 1000%. Becky's responsiveness always makes you feel at ease and confident. We feel very lucky to have worked with her and are so very grateful for how well she took care of us and our family!

what sold us on using her to help plan our little ceremony. She is a joy to talk with and really takes the time to listen on what you imagine the big day feeling & looking like. We decided to go with the "No brainer" option and I'm so glad we did! She literally took care of everything! She offers options/ideas on venues, floral designs, glam, photographer's, dinner reservations. etc. Her husband Matt was a bonus we were not expecting! He look all sorts of candid photos of our small circus ( our beautiful 5 kiddos ) He has a way of keeping everyone calm and smiling. I could go on and on with how picture perfect our day was. At the end of the day I highly highly recommend reaching to to Becky if you are looking for an intimate beach wedding including beautiful Hawaiian traditions. I cannot wait to renew our vows with Becky in the future.

how much her heart is in this work and that she genuinely cared about us as a couple. She was so organized and on top of every detail. I didn't worry for one-minute about anything ... she handled it ALL, from picking a location, securing the beach permit, connecting us with the marriage license official, ordering leis, designing my bouquet, recommending the photographer and hair and makeup artist, and booking a ukulele player. Becky even helped us with suggestions for dinner on our wedding night and other activities while we were there. The ceremony itself was beautiful and all we could ever have wished for. It was the perfect blend of Hawaiian tradition with touches that were personal to us, like incorporating my teenage sons into the wedding. Getting hitched went off without a hitch! I highly recommend Becky!

t the research we had completed / options we had decided on, aligned with the suggestions provided by Becky. So save yourself some time and stress and just start here. Becky knew all the best spots / had contacts and relationships with the top venues and service providers, she was responsive and attentive, gave simple understandable instructions, and was accommodating to our requests. She sent us reminders for everything to ensure we were on track, and her husband took great photos and videos at the same time with our phones/go pro on top of the photographer we hired through Becky. The ceremony itself was beautiful, the guests enjoyed it as much as the beach sunset in the background - it was the best wedding we've ever been to, but we may be biased :)

en needed. Planning a wedding from the mainland felt super stressful at first, but Becky really eased our anxiety. Our ceremony turned out beautiful thanks to her!

reception later on in the week, which was totally above and beyond. If you are looking for something small, but elegant at an affordable price AND to save yourself the headache of planning a million things for your wedding, definitely go with Simple Kona Beach Weddings. Becky is the best, and she did an amazing job officiating the wedding!

easons I actually decided to go with her as opposed to another wedding vendor I had been considering); she put my husband-to-be and I at ease, continued to communicate and update us regularly and made extremely helpful recommendations. Our first meeting laid the groundwork; it was our getting to know each other meeting and info on what we might expect in getting married in Hawaii, especially during Covid. When we were done with the Zoom, we knew we would be taken care of. Becky didn't disappointment; from decorations, to marriage license, to location and then events we wanted to plan after the ceremony, Becky was on it. She met us the night before our wedding, guided us to the location, which was a bit tricky to find, so I am glad we did it the night before. She walked us through the ceremony. The day of, the weather was beautiful, and the decorations fit so well, even with the flower selection being a bit limited since we married in November. The heart and flower pathway were amazing. I was nervous during the ceremony, and she simply encouraged us to be ourselves. When I sincerely say, our wedding was magical-- it was. Thank you Becky.

aii. Very sweet, made us feel super comfortable, and had tons of fun on our special day! Super happy with our decision to have our wedding in paradise with the the help of Becky & her husband! Our families had fun too! Becky’s husband also went out of his way to capture photos that make great social media content! I want to do it all over again!! Thank you Becky for everything 😍

uncomfortable and made us feel like we weren’t worth the effort. Becky restored all faith and made us excited again! These are crazy times and things are definitely more difficult but she was so flexible and truly thought of everything. If you and your partner end up needing to do a virtual ceremony, just know that she makes it feel so natural and like she’s there in person. You won’t regret it one bit. We can not recommend her enough. Thank you SO much Becky!🖤

omfortable, at ease and excited to celebrate our love in Hawaii and take a leap of faith with a destination wedding. Becky is enthaustic, fun, thorough, and full of excellent advice and recommendations. Dennis and I, as well as all our family, were blown away by the beauty of the ceremony, location, flowers, and experience created! We are so grateful for you Becky and cannot wait to be back in Hawaii again!

and requirements to travel to Hawaii. We decided to reschedule for 04.03.2021. Becky stayed in communication with me and my now husband for the whole year. She was and still is absolutely amazing. I felt like I didn't have to lift a finger to do anything on my wedding day except show up. She provided an amazing list of resources and vendors. All of which were amazing. On our wedding day, Becky's ceremony was so meaningful and beautiful. Her husband, Matt, took candid photos of our big day and he was so much fun to work with. He definitely made us laugh and smile in all of our photos. I don't know if Becky knows it, but she is one of those people who shared a very special moment with us, and she will forever be a part of our life. If you want your special day to be perfect, Becky can make it happen! She is incredible at what she does and she thinks of EVERYTHING...I mean everything! Thank you for making our special day perfect!

cool and collected that one time we thought COVID was going to cause us to cancel our wedding. She got on the phone with us and reassured us that we had options for all scenarios! We greatly enjoyed our ceremony and the musician that Becky hired for it. A day to remember for sure!

th cry. The photographer she recommended was exactly what we were hoping to capture our special day. We can’t imagine anyone choosing someone else! Becky and Matt are the real deal!!

all! As it was a destination wedding, it just wouldn’t have come together the way it did without having Becky doing her magic behind the scenes. The day was perfect and went so smoothly thanks to Becky checking and double checking everything we needed to make our day special and memorable! We didn’t have to worry about a thing but enjoy our beautiful day and the six close friends that joined us. Thank you Becky from the bottom of our hearts, we would highly recommend you to anyone looking to get married in the spectacular setting of Hawaii 💕🍾🥂

y frazzled nerves and provided my fiancé and me' with everything we needed before we even arrived, and once we arrived onto the Island she ensured everything was streamlined and in order. She didn't miss a beat!! She had all of the resources needed -- from an AWESOME makeup artist (Kassie), photographer (Hannah), to where to go for final marriage licensing signing. She even files your license for you!! Once our special day arrived, her ceremony literally brought tears to my eyes. It was just so beautiful... words cannot express... From the serene ocean ritual, her loving and warm words during the ceremony that were genuinely from the heart made my wedding day so memorable and filled with love. As nervous and unorganized as I was, Becky made my day PERFECT!!! I can't thank her and her awesome husband, Matt, enough!!! Becky was a Godsend!! She's the BEST at what she does, hand down!!! Aloha!!

. After talking to Becky, I knew she was the one to handle all the details. I picked out and told her want I wanted my day to be like and she delivered it all and MORE! After everything was set I never had another concern. She was very organized and helpful. Becky and her husband Matt customizes everything to our needs and our day was amazing and unforgettable. She even called the night before and sent pictures of all her dresses for me to pick which one she would wear that would look best with what we were wearing. She is not only amazing at her business but a truly wonderful person. Thank you Becky for creating the best day of our life.

ve. She promptly got back to me when I had questions or would make changes (and looking over our e-mails I saw that I made quite a few) Every step of the way she made us feel at ease and cared for. She married us 10/10/18 on Kukio beach at sunset. Throughout the ceremony she had a beautiful explanation of each representation of the commitment my wife and I were making to one another. Her words were warm, eloquent, and truly lovely. After the ceremony we had another meaningful moment in mind—a way for my mother-in-law to be there with us, and honor her wish of a piece of her remaining in Hawaii forever. We can’t express enough gratitude for the extra time and care you took with us. Our wedding is somehow even more beautiful today in my mind’s eye, it was the perfect first step in our marriage.

ning every detail from so far seemed a little overwhelming. Becky was so informative and made everything seem easy. She helped with recommendations on the florist, hair and makeup, photography, venues, restaurants, and even took care of the special permit needed for the beach location we choose. However, it was the ceremony itself that really blew me away. She did such a great job. She made it so personal and special for us. Hiring her to officiate our wedding was by far our best decision.

really so perfect, meaningful, and wonderful--beyond what we had imagined our day to be. Becky was very friendly and professional and from our first contact with her via e-mail, she put us at ease. Becky's clear communications paved the way for a perfect day. She really listened to us and what we were looking for to tailor our ceremony just for us. Our ceremony took place on a beautiful beach on lava rock. The setting was spectacular. Becky's husband Matt helped with photos and added in a lot of fun and humor to our day. Everything Becky said and brought to the ceremony based on respect for the Hawaiian culture and tradition, provided such a meaningful ceremony beyond anything we had expected.

sure everything is set and ready to go for your special day. My husband and I felt so comfortable and completely resonated with everything said during our ceremony. Nothing short of incredible, thank you so much Becky!
