people thought I was crazy spending so much for my photographer but her is not the most expensive and even my husband had to be convinced. But once we met him we knew he could help find our wedding moments in photos that we would never forget. It has been two months and we already have 4 giant canvases of our wedding and my husband can not stop bragging about our photographer and photos he originally was skeptical about...now he's happy! We are not models, we are not skinny perfect people and our venue was not a $100,000 wedding! But we loved our photos, he made our venue stand out like no other photos from the same venue and weddings held at the same place. We loved the way we looked in them! I will look at these photos the rest of my life and it was worth every penny! On top of the fact they were both so nice, professional and attentive from the very beginning and even to the end! If you want to capture how much you love your spouse he is the photographer for you!

It was always a lot more important to me to have even just 5 absolutely spectacular photos rather than a generic documentation of details and staged portraits that I see so often. Well... we got a lot more than we ever anticipated. Alex sent us a few teaser photos the week after the wedding that were simply magnificent! We couldn't wait to see the rest and Alex made that experience of viewing the photos for the first time even more special by creating a slideshow for us set to our first song dance. I said I was hoping for just 5 spectacular photos. Well, I cannot point to even a single photo from those Alex sent us that wasn't legitimately frame-worthy. In addition, the fact that they don't have a limit on hours took so much stress off of me for the day. Alex and Anastasia arrived even earlier than I thought they would and stayed late - Alex insisted on doing this to make sure they captured all of the important moments. I was so grateful for their excitement and their very clear attention to detail and love for the craft. It shows in every photo they take. Alex even scoped out the location ahead of time on his own and found the most beautiful backdrop for what turned out to be one of my favorite photos. I truly cannot recommend Alex and Anastasia more. Any questions are answered almost immediately which is so refreshing in wedding planning. Alex is an artist and we are SO HAPPY that we got him for our wedding!!! He is AMAZING!! Wish we could give him 100 stars!!

working with Alex was a breeze. His impeccable communication quickly put me at ease. Any question or concern I had was immediately addressed. Alex took the time to get to know us before our special day, which was a great touch on his part. Since we couldn't meet in person, we Skyped. We were still on our honeymoon when we were told our photos were ready, which was super cool! I still can't believe how amazing they came out! It was rainy and cold on our wedding day, but you can barely tell! Every picture they delivered is a favorite! I get asked by everyone I show my photos to "who did your photography? These are amazing!"

event (talk about a fast turn-around). Alex and Anastasia are truly artistic photographers. I found some of their work online, and while my husband and I are not at all professional photographers, we could immediately recognize that they had something of a unique style when it came to photography. At least in my opinion, they particularly like to play a lot with lighting contrast and reflections, which make for some stunning and unique photos. Their photos are also very vibrant and they do a fantastic job of incorporating the environment into their photos. Of course, to get the full experience, you should just hire them and get them to shoot your next event. Aside from the photos, Alex and Anastasia were very easy to work with. We met or skyped with Alex a few times before the wedding to go over details and make sure everyone was on the same page in terms of event order etc. at the wedding. On the day of, they showed up to our hotel in Los Gatos (which, I believe is more than 1 hour travel for them!) at 8am, and they didn't leave until after our reception after 10pm. That is true dedication. As some people have noted in other reviews, and as they say in their description, I would also emphasize that Alex and Anastasia take very natural photos. One of the things they told us early in the day was to basically ignore the cameras and just go about our day and they would do what they do best and capture the moments. While we had a bunch of set shots (cause family and friends of course), all the best photos were of us going about our day and having a blast. To Alex and Anastasia, our wedding was a blast, and we cannot thank you enough for helping us capture this day with such amazing photos.

Alex was incredibly accommodating & amazing to work with. In the months leading up to our wedding, Big Sur was hit by a landslide, demolished bridge, and numerous road closures. It made our venue nearly impossible to access (We weren't sure if Alex would make the trip due to road conditions). Not only did he make it but he didn't try to up-charge & made us feel like our wedding was his top priority! He showed up on time with Anastasia (2nd photographer). Neither of us is comfortable in front of a camera but he instructed us & had us loosened up in no time. We were blown away by the photos Alex presented to us & our guests were as well. Every moment was accounted for. They captured the romance, fun, beauty, and intimacy of the day and he did it through his own unique and creative perspective. Alex & Anastasia were a joy to work with. We cannot thank Alex enough for his vision & hope to work with him again soon! ~A+M

ick to respond to any inquiry you might have. Before the session he asked us what we wanted and then worked out a timetable for us. On the day of our session we picked him and his assistant up and then drove to the planned spots. Even though the day was quite foggy and windy, Alex took truly amazing pictures. In addition to the four planned locations Alex reacted to the weather conditions and squeezed in a few more locations to utilize the fog. One of those pictures is actually one of our favorites. He has a great feeling for good spots and used the fog to create an even magical atmosphere. And he truly knows his way around San Francisco so that we had no problem finding the quickest route to the next location. In addition to the superb quality of his work, his prices are very reasonable for the area. And in contrast to many other photographers we looked at, he does not put up a lot of conditions. We could have spend the time at one location or, as we did, move from spot to spot. And we even changed our outfits. We totally loved working with him and were very comfortable during the whole shooting. Any nervousness which might have been there before was blown away by his relaxed and professional manner in minutes. Alex directed us so perfectly that we forgot about the camera and just could get lost in the moment. We are not used to getting professionally photographed but you can see how relaxed we were. And the results? We are just CRAZY about every single one of the pictures! What else is there to say?!? We would without hesitation book his services again and do recommend him highly to everybody who wants a great experience and awesome results!

The use of high contrast light and compelling composition between foreground and background details create a cinematic, larger-than-life mood. Not only did I easily convince my best friend to hire RedSphere for her wedding, I was lucky enough to have a shoot with Alex as well. In one of the most serendipitous moments of my life, my boyfriend and I happened to sit down next to Alex on a train in Hong Kong one month after he photographed my friend’s wedding. Once we recognized and greeted each other in a state amazement, we decided to schedule a photoshoot around old town Hong Kong. These are some of my most treasured photos and memories. you should definitely go with Alex. He has his signature style and is absolutely brilliant with colors and composition. Alex definitely has an eye for light and how it plays in the pictures, so he will find those unusual poses or color combinations in every setting that will absolutely amaze you. When we just started off looking for a photographer, it was a bit overwhelming, especially that many have very similar styles, but once we saw Alex's portfolio, it was pretty much a done deal. Apart from his artistic brilliance, Alex is very easy to work with. He is very professional and accommodating for the photoshoot. We asked to reschedule a couple of times because of the weather (fog and clouds), and he did not have an issue with that. Alex and Carsten spent over 4 hours with us, going from one location to another (altogether we did 5 places). Alex was very helpful and made us feel relaxed about the whole photoshoot, which is really important if you are not very good at posing. Overall, I would highly recommend Alex for any kind of a special event. You will be amazed at each and every fabulous photo of his.

He also has a very keen eye for poses, he'll tell us to go into this dark room and my wife and I are just wondering why on earth are we in here? Those weird poses where we had no idea what we were doing turned out to be the best photos, so just listen to him haha! Besides the photos themselves, Alex is very caring and professional. rvices. You aren't paying for a 6 or 8 hour package. Alex worked from 10AM-11PM taking pictures, and the other photographer he hired for the day was there from 11AM-11PM. Both for $3900, total. I was told that they took over 10,000 pictures between the two of them. We are still waiting for the final result, but I have no doubt that they will be great. If you are looking for a photographer who is going to make the best out of any situation and grab you when he sees a potential great shot, book Alex! We also did the engagement shoot for an extra $400 for 4 hours of shooting time and got 40 pictures back. It was a great way to get to know Alex and his shooting style.

o leave when we came across RedSphere Studio's booth tucked away on the far side of the expo. It really was a case of saving the best for last. Once we met with Brenda and Alex and saw more of their work, there was absolutely no need to continue our search. Their work stood out from traditional wedding photography in that it used eye popping compositions and extremely vivid and high contrast color to create a ton of drama and emotion. They were both fun to work with, their prices were reasonable and they included a flash card of all the images that had been selected and carefully retouched. A lot of photographers try to charge you more for these things and sell you on different packages which I find kind of annoying. With Brenda and Alex everything was simple and it made it easy to share the photos with our friends and family. I did a boudoir shoot with them as well to give my fiancee as a gift and I had so much fun! Again, they were both totally accommodating and made it easy and comfortable. They are creative and attentive to details and excited to try new things. I think that is what impressed us the most with them is that they are passionate and love what they do. Some wedding photographers seem to treat a wedding like a production line but Brenda and Alex were excited to make everything unique to our individual styles. I get the feeling Alex loves the challenge of finding a creative edge to transform their photos from documentation to art. They were fun, reliable, professional and easy to work with.....I highly recommend them!

We were going for an intimate feel for our wedding and Alex and Brenda nailed it. First of all, during the ceremony and even the reception, we didn't even know they were there. I've seen photographers with enormous gear standing in the middle of the aisle during a whole ceremony at friend's weddings, jumping around clumsily for the best shot, while the guests saw just their backs. Imagine that ;(. Alex and Brenda are so discreet while so efficient, I don't know how they did it. We got our photos this week, and cried and laughed simultaneously. Here is what we have: striking, sexy, unique, artful, sweet, loving, stunning images in all ranges of backgrounds, evoking different feels, as the evening progressed. The images tell a story. A story of two people deeply in love, sharing their promise, evolving into an awesome fun dancing night! The photos have so much depth, the colors pop like there is no tomorrow, and both Alex's and Brenda's visual eye is beyond phenomenal! I'm no easy customer to satisfy when it comes to photography, I study each shot with a magnifying glass (no exaggeration here!), I'm very critical of this and that, and I get bored with the usual wedding photo snaps. I trusted that Alex and Brenda will create images that are different, and gorgeous. But what I saw FAR EXCEEDED any of my expectations, which are always high (being honest here). I literally cried...each shot is carefully crafted yet so organic, you know there is huge talent behind it, passion for photography is definitely second nature for A+B. Our wedding day was a bit of a blur/haze, for me, as most brides might agree, it's an overwhelming experience. But looking at the story telling photos captured by Alex and Brenda, it all comes back in a very clear vision and we're so grateful to RedSphere for making our day so incredibly memorable! They were able to work with our budget and we ended up hiring them for six hours for our wedding day. Despite our limited window, they were so efficient and patient with our awkward selves. My husband and I aren't used to being photographed, but they managed to guide us through for some spectacular shots. Although we didn't have a specific list of mandatory shots, they produced the perfect wedding album. We requested that they focused on pics of our guests, particularly head shots, and our loved ones are absolutely thrilled with their work. They have such a great eye for capturing emotion, and their post-production work with color is breathtaking. They sent us an adorable engraved wooden USB drive in a little wooden box. For what they charge and the quality of their work, it's practically a steal. For a flat fee, you own all the rights to your gorgeous photos to do with as you will; they don't pull that nonsense with having to buy individual pics. While every other vendor was was literally trying to pull you to their booth to give you their spiel and sell you some expensive package the two of them sat quietly and calmly at a table with little more than a couple iPads and business cards. The photos on the iPads immediately jumped out at us. Images of beautiful and bold backgrounds, striking colors, clever composition of in focus and out of focus areas, all perfectly framing beautiful and happy couples. Striking images that really seem to capture a moment, a feeling, or something intangible glided across the screen. These photos were different than everything else we'd seen so far. These weren't some phony or canned wedding or engagement shots. This was REAL photography. We ended up checking out his website more when we got home and followed up via email. Alex is super attentive and responds within hours to any email you send him, making communications super easy for me and my hectic schedule. He deserves a million stars on customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail. Originally we had only wanted to have him for the wedding, but after reviewing his portfolio and seeing all the amazing photos he has on his website and blog, we decided to do an engagement shoot with him too. Boy, are we glad cause they turned out to be better than we could've hoped. Neither my husband nor I are familiar with posing for a camera but Brenda and Alex made it easy and comfortable. They encouraged us to relax and just act normal. The photos came out so well that we even used them for our wedding invitations and website. Not only this, but we did a special photo shoot that involved my husband and I jumping into Lake Tahoe and Alex was a trooper! He paddled out in a teeny dinghy with his super expensive camera strapped around his neck, anchored his boat to a buoy with a rope, and gave us the perfect shots! Talk about dedication! Alex and Brenda are such a nice couple - we spent that whole weekend together and we talked as if we were old friends. For the wedding, we couldn't have asked for better photos. Alex made us both feel so glamorous and beautiful and we have received nothing but compliments from our friends and family. Both he and Brenda were there on time and with us throughout the whole day. They blended in with the crowd and never got in the way of our big day. Best of all, they provide you with full quality digital copies of all the finished picture from the event. Alex possesses a true talent as a photographer and an artist. He captures the perfect moments that are so rich in colors. We've loved his photos so much that we've even taken some of his other landscape photos and blown them up onto canvases for our house! His pictures capture the emotion of the shot, mixed with beautiful locations, creating a magazine quality photo. We were amazed when we got our pictures. Alex and Brenda work well as a team. Brenda drives the posing while Alex focuses on the shot. They did a great job of making us feel comfortable as we were both nervous. I requested several shots prior to the shoot which they fulfilled while recommending several other shots and locations. They know the city very well and recommended amazing locations. We absolutely loved all of our pictures and couldn't be happier with Alex's work. He even gave us a few preview photos as we were so anxious to see them.
