Reeves Catering

Reeves team was phenomenal. I spoke with Larry Roskelly on the phone initially, and he wrote down every single detail. Then we met with him for a tasting and were blown away at how delicious the food was and how meticulous he was with incorporating everything we'd talked about prior on the phone. We went a different route and had spaghetti bolognese, garlic alfredo, two kinds of chicken, Italian sausage links, meatballs and salad for the meal. Then we had a charcuterie table and mozzarella pearls in cups with marinara for the cocktail hour. People are STILL talking about how great the food was. They also did our bartending and came up with a honey peach lemonade with vodka that was soooo good. Reeves was willing to work with our budget, make any changes we asked for and were all super friendly. They also knew the standards of cleanliness of the venue owner and left the kitchen looking brand new when the wedding was over. We can't say enough great things about Reeves and can't wait to hire them for something else.

Reeves Catering provided amazing food at our wedding, including accommodating a range of dietary restrictions for us, immediate family, and guests. The entire team was professional and positive. They handled hors d'oeuvres, entrees, and the bar so well. Everyone raved about the food!

Reeves Catering made our wedding planning so easy, and the food was amazing! At the beginning I was very lost and unsure of what I wanted for our wedding menu, but Reeves helped every step of the way. The owner took the time to ask questions and get to know my vision, after that his suggestions were spot on! I literally couldn't have planned it any better. Me and my husband are also out of state and were having a destination wedding in N. Carolina. Reeves made it easy on us in so many ways..they were flexible with tastings, with phone calls, and with menu updates. Food was the least of our concerns on the wedding day. After months of planning and communication, I completely trusted them to take care of our guests and us. Our guest wouldn't stop complimenting the food and friendliness of the staff! Would definitely use Reeves Catering over and over again. Best catering staff and food I've seen thus far!

Reeves Catering was the only caterer in the Spartanburg Greenville Area that could do the kind of menu that my husband and I wanted: Mediterranean, light, tasty, and flavorful. Larry and his team were super great to work with, even after my wedding was postponed 2x and neither one of us fully remembered how everything was at the tasting. The food ended up being great. Those pita chips… people are still talking about them. We had falafel, chicken kabobs, and shrimp as well as an assortments of salads, homemade hummus, and Butler passed appetizers. The bartender service was great too! They packed up all the leftovers for us in boxes we provided and we had all the leftovers the next day, it was great. We also did our rentals through them, which was the only thing that we didn’t like, all the glasses we rented got switched to plastic cups really quickly after dinner so we spent a good chunk of money on rented glassware (wanting to avoid plastic) but we weren’t able to use them through the night. We definitely felt like we were being rushed to clean up the wedding earlier than 10 pm so they could take all the tablecloths we rented back with them. 2 of them ended up getting left behind and we had to drop them off the next day anyway. Other than those slight problems, they were great. 4/5 stars on here means “fantastic, solid option” and I would agree with that!

Reeves catering was a dream! After going to a tasting at a very popular caterer in Greenville we were disappointed at how bland and impersonal the food and the experience was. Then we found Larry at Reeves! He is so passionate about his food and the quality was unmatched. He essentially made a custom menu to match our taste and what was in season for our wedding. He was so flexible when our wedding was cancelled twice in 2020 and incredibly responsive. During our Wedding in May 2021, Larry and his team blew everyone away. The food was the best wedding food I have had (multiple guests mentioned this) and Larry and his team were so kind and respectful. Everything was warm and fresh and guests were fed quickly. Worth every penny!

Reeves catering was the first call I made after booking our venue. We love working with Larry and Justin discussing menu ideas and re-planning everything once we had to change our plans due to COVID-19. The food is amazing and I definitely recommend letting your imagine run with this duo. We had a last minute cancellation for our rehearsal dinner and Larry quickly made arrangements so that he could also bring food for a cozy rehearsal dinner as well as provide food for the groomsmen and bridal party for getting ready the day of. I cannot tell you the number times that I spent on the phone with Larry or e-mailing back and forth with some crazy new idea that I wanted to add to the menu. They worked with us along the way and he even told us when we were ordering too much food and needed to cut back. These boys are loyal and honest and will make a wedding day amazing!!!!! You will not regret booking them!

Reeves food was wonderful. My only complaint was that it was extremely difficult to get in contact with them. It took multiple emails and greater than a month for someone to get in contact with me after reaching out. Once I did, I was very happy with their prices and service!

Reeves is the pillar of professionalism! The food is excellent, the price is right, the staff works hard... you can’t go wrong. They are extremely responsive and made sure our special day went off without a hitch! They worked with us for menu options even when we wanted a non traditional menu. Larry was very attentive to any allergies present, and even went so far as to ask to speak directly to the guest about their allergies! He then created a special meal just for that guest! Amazing service! Also, 100% have them do the cleaning at the end! It is worth every penny and they do a fantastic job. The place looked better than when we came once they were done resetting the venue!

I can't say enough about Larry, Justin and the rest of the staff. They prepared an excellent menu for our daughter's wedding. We had some that had special dietary request's and Larry did not disappoint. All of our guests raved about how good the food was and how accommodating they were. I would very highly recommend choosing Reeves' Catering for any event that you may have. Thanks again Larry for making this a wonderful experience.

I cannot recommend Reeves, Larry, and his team enough. We went to him with a price point per person and essentially said "what can we get for this?" And boy did he deliver!! I have a few friends from Up north that swear the same menu would have been 4 times the price upstate... and the food tasted like we paid that much. Never in the tasting did I feel like I couldn't be honest. I know if I hated something I could say so, but we were beyond pleasantly surprised we loved everything. Literally everything. I don't remember ever telling Larry what we liked to eat, but he somehow made our food personal to us? We had chicken and waffle bites... shrimp and grits... Merlot beef... chicken tenders with sawmill gravy... and amazing service. One of the catering staff asked my grandpa if she could get him something more to eat... and went and got him another plate!!! Who does that? Soooo kind and beyond thoughtful. You can tell Larry puts love into his dishes, his staff, and ensuring that your special day is just that. Did I mention they made us to go plates fit for a king? Those shrimp and grits in the jacuzzi at 1am was MUCH needed. We most likely will avoid feeding 100 people at a time ever again, but if I do I plan to call Larry. P.s.- I can't speak on the wine because I forgot to have some... I was too busy stuffing my face with food. Ha

Choosing Reeves Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Larry made the whole process such a breeze. From the moment we tasted the food at our tasting and saw how passionate Larry was about delivering a delicious and high quality meal, we knew Reeves was the company for us. Everyone at the wedding raved about how wonderful our food was. My only regret is that I didn't get to eat more!

Reeves was so great to work with from the very beginning. The personalized attention we got was refreshing. As an example, Larry created a mini taco appetizer for us because we randomly mentioned in our first meeting that we liked tacos. Also, we gave a number for our budget, and Larry worked with us so it didn't go over one penny. All of the staff on the day-of were very nice, and they even packed us up to-go containers at the end of the night. We got sooo many compliments on the food, and even just thinking about it now makes me crave more :) Definitely recommend!

Reeves Catering was spectacular! Larry worked with my husband and I to create a unique, personalized menu just for us! He truly cares about the quality and integrity of his food, and he takes his job very seriously! Make sure you try his chicken and waffles! So delicious! Highly, highly recommended!

Larry was a pleasure to work with. He seemed like an old friend. He was also willing to work within our budget. He provided prompt replies to all of our questions. MOST IMPORTANTLY- THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! He arrived on time and everyone loved the food. We are so glad we chose Reeves!!

Reeves Catering far surpassed all of our expectations as our wedding caterer. The head chef, Larry, took the time to specialize the menu to best reflect my husband and I as a couple. He happily answered many phone calls and e-mails and incorporated his creativity to fashion a delectable and delicious spread. He was prompt, patient, and flexible when making the menu fit within our budget. On top of Larry's exceptional work, his support and service staff were professional, thoughtful, and made sure we got to try a sample of all of the food on our big day! Our friends and family were all very impressed. If you are considering Reeves for your wedding catering, please go for it! You will not regret it!

Choosing Reeves was one of the best parts of our wedding. At the beginning of my caterer search, I struggled with finding a reasonably-priced caterer that offered quality food, linens (and all that necessary extra), along with a chef who could create a fun Asian-American menu to match our theme. The Reeves team did not disappoint! Larry was always flexible with us to meet in person, honest with his company’s options, and eager to help us in small and large ways. I truly appreciate how accommodating his team was as they worked with our budget and our preferences. Larry was upfront from the beginning about not having made many Asian dishes before, but after the first tasting, I trusted his judgement all the way! Our guests (of all different ethnicities) raved about how delicious Reeve’s meal was! They served amazing appetizers (seared tuna, cream cheese wontons, etc.) and a kick-butt buffet dinner of stir-fry vegetables with sesame chicken, beef, lo-mein and more! The dinner portion of our night was very smooth. The servers were attentive and kind, plating was neat, and guests were not left waiting for anything. I especially liked how Reeves had the salad already plated on the tables before guests arrived, so they had something to eat as tables were called up individually for the dinner buffet. From the food to extra details (silverware, table decor, bartender, etc.), Reeves had us covered! My new husband and I especially loved how after a long wedding day, the Reeves team had to-go food boxes for us to enjoy by ourselves that night! What a fun and enjoyable experience! Larry was so professional and easy to work with. Answered all of our questions and was very accommodating! We had so many compliments from guests about how great the food was. Highly recommend!

They surprised us with a BACON BAR for our cocktail hour! We had ordered to have a charcuterie board with assorted meats and cheeses but did not expect them to surprise us with a BACON BAR! It was one of the first things our guests said to us when we joined them at the cocktail hour. For dinner we had a standard buffet bar with a cutting station but we also got to play with a grilled cheese bar, which was also a hit with our guests! Laurie and Larry from Reeves were great to work with and the food and services they provided were excellent!

We were sooo very happy we picked Reeves catering to cater our wedding. The food was just outstanding. we have been to a few weddings and we knew we didn't want the typical wedding dish where its expected to be a bit bland. This food was just so delicious. from the minute we met with them we knew we were hiring a great catering company for our wedding. The service and the treatment through out the whole wedding planning process was phenomenal. Laurie is just a sweetheart who made planning a wedding from out of state quite simple. My guests would not stop raving about the appetizers and entrees and how wonderful everything tasted. I would high recommend reeves catering for your next event. They are super organized, nice, helpful, and great at what they do.

We were impressed with Reeve's food from the moment we tasted it, and they worked with us a very personalized menu. We wanted to serve an ethnic, family dish that Reeves had never heard of before, and they actually learned how to make it so we could have it at our wedding. Laurie was incredible- very personable, always available and didn't miss a beat in terms of details. Not only did they make sure we ate at our wedding, but they packaged up a to-go container of every item we ordered, and sent it to our room so we could snack on it and take it home after the wedding. I will say the food was a little colder than I expected it to be, but I think it was because we ate early and it probably didn't have enough time to let it heat properly before we wanted to eat. On the other hand, my cousin said it was the best wedding menu, and wedding food, she'd ever had, so I think it ended up perfect in the end. In addition, two days before our wedding we had to move it from outdoors at a private residence to a hotel room, due to a hurricane. Reeves made every necessary adjustment at the last minute, they worked exclusively with our wedding coordinator on the changes, and I never had to tell them anything regarding the changes- everything just happened perfectly! We were so pleased with Reeves- and I'm sure you will be too!

Reeves is a true southern caterer. You can tell by the Jack Daniels green beans, pimento cheese crostini, and sweet tea they offer you when you come in for a tasting. What surprised me most though, was their willingness and excitement to accommodate my requests to make Thai satay skewers and Korean BBQ short ribs for our reception (I had to order the pimento cheese crostini for cocktail hour too!). Then they accommodated my gluten-free friend, my vegetarian friends, and my peanut-allergy sister. Then they accommodated my request to decorate my cakes. Needless to say, Reeves can do it all. On the day of, despite part of their staff getting into a wasp nest during set up and having to hustle behind the scenes, Laurie was always level headed and still as accommodating as always. She even packed the leftovers into nice containers for us to take home. Guests still rave to me about the short ribs too :)

Great experience with Reeves! They worked with us to create a unique menu within our price range. They did not have a set list of items to choose from, but worked with us to create a menu that really represented us as a couple. They were amazing to plan with and also on the wedding day! They delivered some food early and arrived to start cooking on site! Everyone loved the food and the staff were so professional and took great care of our guests and the bride and the groom.
