nce contacts attempting to schedule my makeup trial. After finally reaching someone who cited turnover in management for the delay in response, we were able to book a trial 2 weekends prior to my wedding.
Upon arriving to my home, the makeup artist set up shop quietly. Like, very quietly. She barelu spoke. She took a .02 second look at my inspiration photo, asked no questions about my desires, did not provide any sort of consultation. She just got to work. After completing my makeup and applying lashes, sne handed me a mirror. I will not disparage her work aside from saying it was not how any bride wants to look on their wedding day.
I tried to ask her to polish the look up, to alter the eye makeup... but the photos I include will be the best proof. The lashes were crooked and not fused to my natural lashline, the contour was not even or blended, eyeshadow fallout was all over my face, and my lipstick was... something else. She used a liquid liner that was dried out and scratching my eye. Is that even hygienic???
I panicked, thinking I have 2 weeks until my wedding and I need to get this figured out. The artist asked me to pay $100 cash on the spot - a fee I admit I was not aware of. She did not accept check or venmo. We had to drive to the gas station up the street so I could go to the ATM.
I was embarassed to go in.
I sent photos to the email contact who had eventually responded to my requests for a trial. I requested a call from her but she were unable due to allergies (???) They offered a trial with another artist, but the trial would be 4 days before my wedding and I couldn't risk another disaster. I then received passive aggressive texts from the same contact.
Therese and Rebecca were the makeup artists for our big day, and they were nothing short of amazing. Everyone was incredibly pleased with their makeup and they were both so friendly to everyone.

r makeup artist. Therese touched up my makeup throughout the morning as needed, and even asked to look at the photographer’s pictures at the beginning of the day to see if my makeup had to be adjusted in any way, as things sometimes look different on camera than they do in person.
I will definitely be recommending these two ladies to anyone looking to get their makeup done in the future!

I ended up getting matched up with Danielle and I am SO glad I did! From the moment I met her, she put me at ease and was so fun to work with. Between the trial and wedding she recommended I get some clip in extensions to add more volume and she was kind enough to text me suggestions on exactly what to get. She honestly made me look and feel like a real-life princess! Her team that was with her- Diane and Whitney- were just as amazing! re were some communication issues with the company itself. Emails come from several different sources which can get confusing. When they sent me my final confirmation a week before the wedding, they had the date, time, and place wrong. Which made me nervous. It all worked out in the end, but I could have done without that. They also tried billing me for $100 more than we had originally agreed, stating that they'd updated the prices on the website before our contract was signed. But the prices still on the website were the ones I was expecting, so they took the price back down.

communicate with you from start, to your wedding day schedule. The second email is our scheduling email which is solely for approving and revising your wedding day schedule. We actually implemented a price decrease this year (no increase). Your reservation was quoted during our old pricing which was higher. The schedule was made from your reservation details which contained the pricing you were quoted. When you asked us to honor the new website pricing we did so happily. Sounds like you had a win with your artist, and a win with lower than quoted pricing. Congratulations to you and you new husband!

lly enjoyed getting their hair and makeup done for the day! Jamie and Montia were very easy to get in contact with and got everything done on time. They were very flexible, and it was super nice that they were able to come to me at the hotel the morning of the wedding. The only thing that was a little difficult was that I am not from the Twin Cities but had to find somewhere to meet my stylist in the cities when I went to do my trial run. Honestly wasn't a big deal, but just so other brides know when they go to book. I would recommend Eye Do to any bride, especially Jamie and Montia!

So I had jamie which was great to work with, however i had paid for a second makeup/hair trial since i was considerably unhappy as the days went on with my first trial, it was beautiful but just not right or what i was essentially looking for. ...
I had spoken to customer service and they offered a free hair trial since thats what i was really upset with the most and i paid for another make up trial to try a second look. Well i LOOOVED the second look! It was exactly what I was looking for. And though it took almost 3 hours to achieve it, it was well worth. However, the reason for the 3 stars, fast forward to my wedding day, i was told originally that I would have jamie all to myself and i realized when i received the “timeline” the day before, of all the girls doing their makeup/hair in my bridal party the day of, my hair and makeup set times was spread out and my stylist was shared amongst the 5 other girls. I figured they are professionals they know what they are doing but the day of the wedding i was THE LAST GIRL to have their makeup/hair done! i get it your professionals but knowing my trials lasted well close to 3 hours and we had about 2hrs left before we had to get dressed i was a bit perturbed as to why i was put last since i was also THE BRIDE THE MOST IMPORTANT?! Secondly...the makeup that jamie had put on me the day of the wedding was from my FIRST TRIAL and NOT my second trial. We were running soo late as it is, i couldnt even have the time to tell her “hey! U put the wrong palate on me!” If it werent for me taking out the lip gloss i wanted to use (from my second trial) she wouldve put some nasty lip stain she used on me during my first trial as i saw her whip it out! I was disappointed it didnt exactly turn out the way i wanted it to. In the end, with tax and a $60 tip (i tip well cuz im in the service industry too) my makeup that i didnt want and hair came to $360. Oh and u pay for their parking ($20) even though across the street, the all day parking lot was $10. I know cuz i parked there for the morning bird special. Long story short, my now husband thought i looked beautiful that day and thats all that really mattered to me.

heduled on the wedding day because your artist uses that time to make any changes necessary. You were only charged for the second makeup trial because you were ultimately unhappy with the first hair trial. There was no mention of you being unhappy with the first makeup trial.
As stated in our communication with you in your initial quote, bridal service agreement and on your final schedule that was approved by you, all artists require a 5-6 application minimum. You were given 2 artists for 10 adult applications. After my review of your final schedule that you approved with no edits, Jamie was scheduled to do 2 adult makeup applications, your Bridal makeup, your Bridal hair and then another adult hair application. Your schedule reflected that you were not last in the lineup of services. We also complied with your request for your artist to relocate to another room (at no extra cost) for faux getting ready photos.
In your final schedule, it was outlined that you received $10 off your hair and $10 off your makeup. Gratuity is not included in with our prices so it is completely up to your discretion on how much the artist deserved as a tip. We do ask that you reimburse the artist any parking fees. We also let you know that, in the bridal service agreement and your final schedule. If there was a specific place you would like for the artists to park, we feel that it would have been necessary for you to relay that information to them prior to the wedding day.

This vendor gave me the most stress leading to my wedding day. If you're looking for a more personal touch for your wedding, I would skip Eye Do. They did meet all my requests eventually, it just was difficult to get to that point. Once I met with my stylists (Noelle and Susie) directly, it was a lot better. They were friendly and did a great job with the hair and makeup.

I'm sorry to see that you felt inconvenienced by our communication process. I wanted to clarify a couple of things regarding the necessary rescheduling of your trial run. Your hair stylist had a family emergency which resulted in her...
having to leave the salon and cancel her appointments for the rest of the day. I did initially reach out to you via email that morning so that you could review and consider the 2 options I could provide for rescheduling in writing. You replied to this email in 9 minutes, and I responded back to you in 4 minutes. After this I began to communicate with you directly via text message in order to provide a more timely response. You and I personally spoke on the phone and we remained in contact through the morning as we worked to get your trial rescheduled. Additionally, at no point did we contact your artists via email for rescheduling, we communicated with your artists by phone/text. Being unable to get a trial rescheduled for the same day was not due to any delay in communication, but because I could not reach the alternate artist who initially said she could get you into her salon that day due to her being at work and busy with clients. I tried calling and text messaging her multiple times but it unfortunately it did not work out for that day. In order to compensate you for the inconvenience of not being able to have your trial on the date you initially scheduled for, despite my best efforts, Eye Do covered the cost of your trial run. I am sorry that this was not a satisfactory solution for you.
I also wanted to point out that we have a phone number listed on our Contact Us page on our website for brides who would prefer to speak by phone. We do try to keep most of our correspondence via email so that we can both refer back to the details provided by Eye Do and brides along the way. This helps to keep things organized and assists our coordinators in being able to provide timely responses.
I am glad to hear that Suzie and Noelle provided great artistry and professionalism and that you were happy with your hair and makeup. Congratulations and best wishes to you in the future.

kdown that may have happened during your booking/coordinating process. Our policy is stated from the beginning of the booking process, on our website and in our service agreement that we require a 6 adult application minimum per artist for Saturday events.
Your wedding day headcount was 8 adult hair and 7 adult makeup, which would give you 2 artists. We did offer you a 3rd artist with an additional 3 applications and after that offer was sent, you decided to start at 7am with the 2 artists. With a 1pm finish time we had no other choice but to start you by 7am to finish everyone by your requested time.
It is my responsibility to make sure that you are 100% satisfied within the terms of the service agreement. I wish you the best and a lifetime of love and happiness.

I'm so sorry that you found the coordinating process to be less than convenient. I wanted to take a moment to explain why we have multiple coordinators. Since Eye Do provides work to freelance artists in multiple cities and states, we have a large amount of email communication coming in and out each day. In order to handle the large amount of correspondence taking place, and in order to provide prompt responses and thorough communication, we have more than one person working our email inbox and we take turns covering various days each week. In your particular market there are 3 ladies that cover the emails each week, and all three of them can see your complete email thread beginning to end in order to stay up to speed on all of your important details, no matter which of the 3 of them responds.
I will speak with the coordinators and remind them of the importance of carefully reviewing the details between the bride and Eye Do before responding so that we are working as effectively and efficiently as possible and to cause as little confusion to the bride as possible. I opted for a trial, and I had NO idea how I wanted my makeup except that I wanted "simple elegance", but she executed a flawless look. The hair she styled for me at the trial was replicated without a single hair out of place on my wedding day. Not only that, but my matron of honor, who has long and thin hair, had more volume and intact curls than I had ever seen (also held up beautifully through the rain!). If you have a chance to request Gina for the Northern Virginia area, you willl surely be in great hands.
