I initially booked the company because I knew others who had used them in other locations. Like most, you do not know who you will be paired with. I was paired with a stylist and drove 2 hours to meet with her. While I traveled 2 hours to her ...
home salon, I had to pay a travel fee. My hair was an absolute disaster. It was nothing like I had showed her and when I told her I didn't love it, I was told something to the effect of it was just hair and we could fix it on the wedding day. I was so upset. I left in tears and spent the first 45-60 minutes of my drive home angry and crying. When I wrote the company, they did try very hard to find me a new stylist but due to timeline of my wedding in a few months, they could not secure another stylist. Of note, they recommended the timeline for trial. As an option, they offered me a second trial with the same stylist. Her personality was flat out rude and that does not change in a second trial. I did not feel comfortable at all and had no confidence that my bridal party would either. My make up was fine, I didn't love it but the stylist was good and I thought we could work together and it would work. In the end, I ended up cancelling with this team which resulted in massive stress, think full blown panic 2 months out from your wedding with all of the stress that that brings and now pair that with no hair and make up team. While I know others have had an amazing experience, mine was not. I never want to shame a business, the management team was very good and responsive but I would be doing a disservice to other brides by not sharing my story.

My curls fell out so fast and even though I wasn't on their schedule she begged to fix my hair and she made it a million times better than what I had gotten done that morning at my salon. other places wanted me to do a trial immediately (this was winter time) but i wanted to wait until the weather was similar to my actual wedding date and i was able to do that with them. Joi the MUA that i was give was amazing, i immediately booked her for my engagement photos. Her work is just so good and she has the best attitude and energy.
So why am i not giving 5 starts? well because on wedding day itself there are a few details with the team that came to do the entire bridal party. I had 8 people, which meant i needed 3 artists to be able to accommodate everyone. Joi was great as in the past but the crappy attitude and energy from one of the other artist in particular could definitely improve, the feeling felt across my bridal party and i receive comments about it afterwards. Three of my girls were also charged extra for "long hair" and this was never stipulated on the contract, so i would ask that from the beginning to make sure to get good prices. Her work was great, all the hair dos looked incredible but she could have been nicer.

r each service, just quickly mentioned once that there *may* be a fee depending on how far the artist has to drive the day of. There is no mention that this fee also applies to hair and makeup trials, nor that you have to have the artist travel to you for those, making a hair/makeup trial the same amount, if not more money than the actual wedding day. I will say that when I brought this up while booking my makeup trial, the artist was nice enough to waive the fee and allow me into her home studio, but I think this should be made very clear up front- it certainly would have influenced my booking decision. Additionally, when I went to pay my artist on the wedding day, I was charged late fees. I have no idea what these late fees were for, and I felt pressured at the time to just hand over money without questioning it. Overall, the quality of the artists was good and the customer service was good, but I felt that there were too many fees and glitches (I shouldn't have needed to rely on customer service so many times to make things right) to recommend this vendor to others.

I ended up getting matched up with Danielle and I am SO glad I did! From the moment I met her, she put me at ease and was so fun to work with. She listened to me and really understood exactly the kind of style I wanted on my wedding day. Between the trial and wedding she recommended I get some clip in extensions to add more volume and she was kind enough to text me suggestions on exactly what to get. In the days leading up to my wedding she texted me confirm, reassured me that they would be there on time and to reminded me to breathe which was so helpful! On my wedding day she literally created the hair of my dreams. She spent so much time getting it right, and kept checking in with me to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. re were some communication issues with the company itself. Emails come from several different sources which can get confusing. When they sent me my final confirmation a week before the wedding, they had the date, time, and place wrong. Which made me nervous. It all worked out in the end, but I could have done without that. They also tried billing me for $100 more than we had originally agreed, stating that they'd updated the prices on the website before our contract was signed. But the prices still on the website were the ones I was expecting, so they took the price back down.

communicate with you from start, to your wedding day schedule. The second email is our scheduling email which is solely for approving and revising your wedding day schedule. We actually implemented a price decrease this year (no increase). Your reservation was quoted during our old pricing which was higher. The schedule was made from your reservation details which contained the pricing you were quoted. When you asked us to honor the new website pricing we did so happily. Sounds like you had a win with your artist, and a win with lower than quoted pricing. Congratulations to you and you new husband!

lly enjoyed getting their hair and makeup done for the day! Jamie and Montia were very easy to get in contact with and got everything done on time. They were very flexible, and it was super nice that they were able to come to me at the hotel the morning of the wedding. The only thing that was a little difficult was that I am not from the Twin Cities but had to find somewhere to meet my stylist in the cities when I went to do my trial run. Honestly wasn't a big deal, but just so other brides know when they go to book. I would recommend Eye Do to any bride, especially Jamie and Montia!

So I had jamie which was great to work with, however i had paid for a second makeup/hair trial since i was considerably unhappy as the days went on with my first trial, it was beautiful but just not right or what i was essentially looking for. ...
I had spoken to customer service and they offered a free hair trial since thats what i was really upset with the most and i paid for another make up trial to try a second look. Well i LOOOVED the second look! It was exactly what I was looking for. And though it took almost 3 hours to achieve it, it was well worth. However, the reason for the 3 stars, fast forward to my wedding day, i was told originally that I would have jamie all to myself and i realized when i received the “timeline” the day before, of all the girls doing their makeup/hair in my bridal party the day of, my hair and makeup set times was spread out and my stylist was shared amongst the 5 other girls. I figured they are professionals they know what they are doing but the day of the wedding i was THE LAST GIRL to have their makeup/hair done! i get it your professionals but knowing my trials lasted well close to 3 hours and we had about 2hrs left before we had to get dressed i was a bit perturbed as to why i was put last since i was also THE BRIDE THE MOST IMPORTANT?! Secondly...the makeup that jamie had put on me the day of the wedding was from my FIRST TRIAL and NOT my second trial. We were running soo late as it is, i couldnt even have the time to tell her “hey! U put the wrong palate on me!” If it werent for me taking out the lip gloss i wanted to use (from my second trial) she wouldve put some nasty lip stain she used on me during my first trial as i saw her whip it out! I was disappointed it didnt exactly turn out the way i wanted it to. In the end, with tax and a $60 tip (i tip well cuz im in the service industry too) my makeup that i didnt want and hair came to $360. Oh and u pay for their parking ($20) even though across the street, the all day parking lot was $10. I know cuz i parked there for the morning bird special. Long story short, my now husband thought i looked beautiful that day and thats all that really mattered to me.

heduled on the wedding day because your artist uses that time to make any changes necessary. You were only charged for the second makeup trial because you were ultimately unhappy with the first hair trial. There was no mention of you being unhappy with the first makeup trial.
As stated in our communication with you in your initial quote, bridal service agreement and on your final schedule that was approved by you, all artists require a 5-6 application minimum. You were given 2 artists for 10 adult applications. After my review of your final schedule that you approved with no edits, Jamie was scheduled to do 2 adult makeup applications, your Bridal makeup, your Bridal hair and then another adult hair application. Your schedule reflected that you were not last in the lineup of services. We also complied with your request for your artist to relocate to another room (at no extra cost) for faux getting ready photos.
In your final schedule, it was outlined that you received $10 off your hair and $10 off your makeup. Gratuity is not included in with our prices so it is completely up to your discretion on how much the artist deserved as a tip. We do ask that you reimburse the artist any parking fees. We also let you know that, in the bridal service agreement and your final schedule. If there was a specific place you would like for the artists to park, we feel that it would have been necessary for you to relay that information to them prior to the wedding day.

It took a long time to get it rescheduled because they were emailing the stylist instead of calling them, so I missed my opportunity to reschedule for later that day. This vendor gave me the most stress leading to my wedding day. If you're looking for a more personal touch for your wedding, I would skip Eye Do. They did meet all my requests eventually, it just was difficult to get to that point. Once I met with my stylists (Noelle and Susie) directly, it was a lot better. They were friendly and did a great job with the hair and makeup.

I'm sorry to see that you felt inconvenienced by our communication process. I wanted to clarify a couple of things regarding the necessary rescheduling of your trial run. Your hair stylist had a family emergency which resulted in her...
having to leave the salon and cancel her appointments for the rest of the day. I did initially reach out to you via email that morning so that you could review and consider the 2 options I could provide for rescheduling in writing. You replied to this email in 9 minutes, and I responded back to you in 4 minutes. After this I began to communicate with you directly via text message in order to provide a more timely response. You and I personally spoke on the phone and we remained in contact through the morning as we worked to get your trial rescheduled. Additionally, at no point did we contact your artists via email for rescheduling, we communicated with your artists by phone/text. Being unable to get a trial rescheduled for the same day was not due to any delay in communication, but because I could not reach the alternate artist who initially said she could get you into her salon that day due to her being at work and busy with clients. I tried calling and text messaging her multiple times but it unfortunately it did not work out for that day. In order to compensate you for the inconvenience of not being able to have your trial on the date you initially scheduled for, despite my best efforts, Eye Do covered the cost of your trial run. I am sorry that this was not a satisfactory solution for you.
I also wanted to point out that we have a phone number listed on our Contact Us page on our website for brides who would prefer to speak by phone. We do try to keep most of our correspondence via email so that we can both refer back to the details provided by Eye Do and brides along the way. This helps to keep things organized and assists our coordinators in being able to provide timely responses.
I am glad to hear that Suzie and Noelle provided great artistry and professionalism and that you were happy with your hair and makeup. Congratulations and best wishes to you in the future.

kdown that may have happened during your booking/coordinating process. Our policy is stated from the beginning of the booking process, on our website and in our service agreement that we require a 6 adult application minimum per artist for Saturday events.
Your wedding day headcount was 8 adult hair and 7 adult makeup, which would give you 2 artists. We did offer you a 3rd artist with an additional 3 applications and after that offer was sent, you decided to start at 7am with the 2 artists. With a 1pm finish time we had no other choice but to start you by 7am to finish everyone by your requested time.
It is my responsibility to make sure that you are 100% satisfied within the terms of the service agreement. I wish you the best and a lifetime of love and happiness.

I'm so sorry that you found the coordinating process to be less than convenient. I wanted to take a moment to explain why we have multiple coordinators. Since Eye Do provides work to freelance artists in multiple cities and states, we have a large amount of email communication coming in and out each day. In order to handle the large amount of correspondence taking place, and in order to provide prompt responses and thorough communication, we have more than one person working our email inbox and we take turns covering various days each week. In your particular market there are 3 ladies that cover the emails each week, and all three of them can see your complete email thread beginning to end in order to stay up to speed on all of your important details, no matter which of the 3 of them responds.
I will speak with the coordinators and remind them of the importance of carefully reviewing the details between the bride and Eye Do before responding so that we are working as effectively and efficiently as possible and to cause as little confusion to the bride as possible. The day of she even managed to arrive a little early and to be honest I am not sure how she kept it together with how crazy the ladies of my family can get, we had a blast making jokes and I can still remember my moms hilarious reaction to seeing her completed look (it was a bit explicit so I will leave that out, but it was a good reaction I promise!). I look back on the day and smile thinking about how amazing it was from start to finish. Danielle was truly a pleasure to work with and I loved the way I looked at the wedding, I felt like a queen.
Rachel and Karesa were the best team! They were wonderful in connecting with every person that got into their chairs. They asked good questions to ensure that what they were doing was exactly what each person wanted. They were fun and laid back...
and kept you laughing and entertained while being mindful of the timeline and ensuring they were finished on time. Karesa did my hair and make-up. It looked exactly like the picture I brought in for my trial and she did just as awesome the day of the wedding. Everyone's hair and make-up stayed on throughout the day and night and everyone looked flawless in photos. I LOVE THEM!

She became the District Manager managing 80 MAC Managers & Artists with 8 stores. She became application certified, PHD, Lash, fashion show & Leading Effectively certified through Estee Lauder & MAC. Crystal started Eye Do Makeup & Hair in 2010 and has focused her creative direction on providing brides with the best customer service and event coordination partnering with over 150 of the best artists in the industry.
