She also, with great care and talent, did hair and make up for my mother. My mother had never done professional hair or make up before, and Nadirah made her feel absolutely beautiful for my wedding. Refeyeance is a high quality company that does beautiful hair and make up work. However, it was difficult to have strong communication and there were a lot of fees that were brought up closer to the wedding that could've been avoided.

efeyeance is extremely quick to respond to emails, it is almost always a different person emailing you so sometimes the conversation doesn't always flow. Jenn in the scheduling department was really kind and able to reach out by phone to talk through some of the confusion about the scheduling number of applicants.
Unfortunately, there was confusion about how much the artists would cost (the artist for my hair and makeup was over $65 more for each application then I was originally told). I also had to pay for an empty slot because, unknown to me when my artists were scheduled, each artists requires so many applicants and when I couldn't reach that number, they charged me extra. WHEN I could've just had less artists and taken more time for each. One artist also asked for more money at the end of our time together because in an attempt to fill the paid slots with flower girls, she felt like she had done more than she was scheduled for.
My artist, Nadirah was phenomenal! She came twice for our hair and makeup trial (a second time because our wedding was postponed due to COVID). The second time I wasn't 100% about my hair and Nadirah was so patient and redid it a few times to make sure we both were on the same page about what I wanted. On the wedding day she was so calm, patient and prepared. I 100% recommend Nadirah as an artist for your wedding day!
Also be mindful about travel fees!! $60 extra for each artist adds up quick!

Hello Jennifer, I am very sorry that you felt there was miscommunication. I looked through all of our emails with you. You were charged the same amount as quoted back in April of 2020. You were not charged any more than quoted and contracted. O...
ur pricing has since increased for 2021, yet we honored 2020 pricing for you. We also rescheduled your wedding at no additional cost due to Covid. In the very first email we sent you, along with your signed agreement your were informed there is a 5 application minimum per artist and there is a $60 travel fee to your location. Your location was an hour and 10 minutes one way for the artists (2hours and 20 minutes total). All of the cost and artist minimums were explained to you prior to contracting and multiple times over the last year and a half. I do understand that there was a lot of time and communications that happened due to having to reschedule. However, if you go back through all of our communications, you will see all of these things were addressed multiple times. I am so happy that you had a great wedding day experience and loved your hair and makeup. In the end that is the most important thing.

r and makeup, done by Gina, turned out AMAZING and lasted all night. She also did a trial with me, and we talked through suggestions and what felt most comfortable. She gave me tips on how to get my hair cut before the wedding, which enhanced the actual look on my wedding day. It turned out even better than I imagined!! It felt extremely secure all night, and I did not have to worry about anything falling out for my up do. My makeup withstood the party too! My bridesmaids also loved their looks as well and felt so beautiful. All 3 artists were very punctual, professional, and super accommodating with the looks my bridal party wanted. Booking and scheduling a trial as well as the wedding day service was easy and painless, and I was very satisfied with my artist, Morelia. She has an exceptional eye, delivered exactly what I imagined/provided example pictures of, and was fun to work with, brainstorm and try new things.
Value worth the money and highly recommend Morelia if you're in the VA/DC/MD region.

tist and she was amazing! She made me feel comfortable at my trial and on the wedding day. Gina and the other 2 artists were very friendly and easy to work with. At my hair trial, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted (I wanted a little bit more volume) so I told her this on the wedding day. My hair turned out beyond anything I imagined! Gina also helped me pin my veil in and secure it. It was extremely long, so I was worried about it holding, but it held for the ceremony and for all of our photos. Not only did it hold, but she pinned it in such a comfortable way, I forgot I was even wearing it! I got SO many compliments on my hair and makeup, as did all of my bridesmaids and both moms. My mother-in-law has pretty short hair, and it was amazing what her hair stylist could do with it. My mom said she had never felt so glamorous. Everyone was blown away with the work that they did!
The company itself was also great to work with. They responded to emails immediately, and made it really easy to organize the day of hair/makeup schedule. A few weeks before your wedding, they will send you a timeline of hair and makeup. This was so helpful for me and it really helped to keep to a day-of timeline. My suggestion is that you schedule in your bridesmaids into specific time slots, so that there isn’t any awkwardness or down time to decide which girl will go next for their application. This kept everyone on schedule. All of my girls were so happy with how their hair and makeup turned out. I wish Gina could do my hair and makeup every day! If you want to look like a star, book this company! They are awesome.

I ended up getting matched up with Danielle and I am SO glad I did! From the moment I met her, she put me at ease and was so fun to work with. She listened to me and really understood exactly the kind of style I wanted on my wedding day. Between the trial and wedding she recommended I get some clip in extensions to add more volume and she was kind enough to text me suggestions on exactly what to get. re were some communication issues with the company itself. Emails come from several different sources which can get confusing. When they sent me my final confirmation a week before the wedding, they had the date, time, and place wrong. Which made me nervous. It all worked out in the end, but I could have done without that. They also tried billing me for $100 more than we had originally agreed, stating that they'd updated the prices on the website before our contract was signed. But the prices still on the website were the ones I was expecting, so they took the price back down.

communicate with you from start, to your wedding day schedule. The second email is our scheduling email which is solely for approving and revising your wedding day schedule. We actually implemented a price decrease this year (no increase). Your reservation was quoted during our old pricing which was higher. The schedule was made from your reservation details which contained the pricing you were quoted. When you asked us to honor the new website pricing we did so happily. Sounds like you had a win with your artist, and a win with lower than quoted pricing. Congratulations to you and you new husband!

They were very flexible, and it was super nice that they were able to come to me at the hotel the morning of the wedding. The only thing that was a little difficult was that I am not from the Twin Cities but had to find somewhere to meet my stylist in the cities when I went to do my trial run. So I had jamie which was great to work with, however i had paid for a second makeup/hair trial since i was considerably unhappy as the days went on with my first trial, it was beautiful but just not right or what i was essentially looking for. ...
I had spoken to customer service and they offered a free hair trial since thats what i was really upset with the most and i paid for another make up trial to try a second look. Well i LOOOVED the second look! It was exactly what I was looking for. And though it took almost 3 hours to achieve it, it was well worth. However, the reason for the 3 stars, fast forward to my wedding day, i was told originally that I would have jamie all to myself and i realized when i received the “timeline” the day before, of all the girls doing their makeup/hair in my bridal party the day of, my hair and makeup set times was spread out and my stylist was shared amongst the 5 other girls. I figured they are professionals they know what they are doing but the day of the wedding i was THE LAST GIRL to have their makeup/hair done! i get it your professionals but knowing my trials lasted well close to 3 hours and we had about 2hrs left before we had to get dressed i was a bit perturbed as to why i was put last since i was also THE BRIDE THE MOST IMPORTANT?! Secondly...the makeup that jamie had put on me the day of the wedding was from my FIRST TRIAL and NOT my second trial. We were running soo late as it is, i couldnt even have the time to tell her “hey! U put the wrong palate on me!” If it werent for me taking out the lip gloss i wanted to use (from my second trial) she wouldve put some nasty lip stain she used on me during my first trial as i saw her whip it out! I was disappointed it didnt exactly turn out the way i wanted it to. In the end, with tax and a $60 tip (i tip well cuz im in the service industry too) my makeup that i didnt want and hair came to $360. Oh and u pay for their parking ($20) even though across the street, the all day parking lot was $10. I know cuz i parked there for the morning bird special. Long story short, my now husband thought i looked beautiful that day and thats all that really mattered to me.

heduled on the wedding day because your artist uses that time to make any changes necessary. You were only charged for the second makeup trial because you were ultimately unhappy with the first hair trial. There was no mention of you being unhappy with the first makeup trial.
As stated in our communication with you in your initial quote, bridal service agreement and on your final schedule that was approved by you, all artists require a 5-6 application minimum. You were given 2 artists for 10 adult applications. After my review of your final schedule that you approved with no edits, Jamie was scheduled to do 2 adult makeup applications, your Bridal makeup, your Bridal hair and then another adult hair application. Your schedule reflected that you were not last in the lineup of services. We also complied with your request for your artist to relocate to another room (at no extra cost) for faux getting ready photos.
In your final schedule, it was outlined that you received $10 off your hair and $10 off your makeup. Gratuity is not included in with our prices so it is completely up to your discretion on how much the artist deserved as a tip. We do ask that you reimburse the artist any parking fees. We also let you know that, in the bridal service agreement and your final schedule. If there was a specific place you would like for the artists to park, we feel that it would have been necessary for you to relay that information to them prior to the wedding day.

It took a long time to get it rescheduled because they were emailing the stylist instead of calling them, so I missed my opportunity to reschedule for later that day. This vendor gave me the most stress leading to my wedding day. If you're looking for a more personal touch for your wedding, I would skip Eye Do. They did meet all my requests eventually, it just was difficult to get to that point. Once I met with my stylists (Noelle and Susie) directly, it was a lot better. They were friendly and did a great job with the hair and makeup.

having to leave the salon and cancel her appointments for the rest of the day. I did initially reach out to you via email that morning so that you could review and consider the 2 options I could provide for rescheduling in writing. You replied to this email in 9 minutes, and I responded back to you in 4 minutes. After this I began to communicate with you directly via text message in order to provide a more timely response. You and I personally spoke on the phone and we remained in contact through the morning as we worked to get your trial rescheduled. Additionally, at no point did we contact your artists via email for rescheduling, we communicated with your artists by phone/text. Being unable to get a trial rescheduled for the same day was not due to any delay in communication, but because I could not reach the alternate artist who initially said she could get you into her salon that day due to her being at work and busy with clients. I tried calling and text messaging her multiple times but it unfortunately it did not work out for that day. In order to compensate you for the inconvenience of not being able to have your trial on the date you initially scheduled for, despite my best efforts, Eye Do covered the cost of your trial run. I am sorry that this was not a satisfactory solution for you.
I also wanted to point out that we have a phone number listed on our Contact Us page on our website for brides who would prefer to speak by phone. We do try to keep most of our correspondence via email so that we can both refer back to the details provided by Eye Do and brides along the way. This helps to keep things organized and assists our coordinators in being able to provide timely responses.
I am glad to hear that Suzie and Noelle provided great artistry and professionalism and that you were happy with your hair and makeup. Congratulations and best wishes to you in the future.

kdown that may have happened during your booking/coordinating process. Our policy is stated from the beginning of the booking process, on our website and in our service agreement that we require a 6 adult application minimum per artist for Saturday events.
Your wedding day headcount was 8 adult hair and 7 adult makeup, which would give you 2 artists. We did offer you a 3rd artist with an additional 3 applications and after that offer was sent, you decided to start at 7am with the 2 artists. With a 1pm finish time we had no other choice but to start you by 7am to finish everyone by your requested time.
It is my responsibility to make sure that you are 100% satisfied within the terms of the service agreement. I wish you the best and a lifetime of love and happiness.

I'm so sorry that you found the coordinating process to be less than convenient. I wanted to take a moment to explain why we have multiple coordinators. Since Eye Do provides work to freelance artists in multiple cities and states, we have a large amount of email communication coming in and out each day. In order to handle the large amount of correspondence taking place, and in order to provide prompt responses and thorough communication, we have more than one person working our email inbox and we take turns covering various days each week. In your particular market there are 3 ladies that cover the emails each week, and all three of them can see your complete email thread beginning to end in order to stay up to speed on all of your important details, no matter which of the 3 of them responds.
I will speak with the coordinators and remind them of the importance of carefully reviewing the details between the bride and Eye Do before responding so that we are working as effectively and efficiently as possible and to cause as little confusion to the bride as possible. For the trial she come over to my parents house and it was like she was a good friend just coming to hang out, we got along great and it was fun getting to see how everything is done. The day of she even managed to arrive a little early and to be honest I am not sure how she kept it together with how crazy the ladies of my family can get, we had a blast making jokes and I can still remember my moms hilarious reaction to seeing her completed look (it was a bit explicit so I will leave that out, but it was a good reaction I promise!). I look back on the day and smile thinking about how amazing it was from start to finish. Danielle was truly a pleasure to work with and I loved the way I looked at the wedding, I felt like a queen.

gh the next day! Gina is an absolute genius and an incredible person. I opted for a trial, and I had NO idea how I wanted my makeup except that I wanted "simple elegance", but she executed a flawless look. The hair she styled for me at the trial was replicated without a single hair out of place on my wedding day. Not only that, but my matron of honor, who has long and thin hair, had more volume and intact curls than I had ever seen (also held up beautifully through the rain!). She became application certified, PHD, Lash, fashion show & Leading Effectively certifications through Estee Lauder & MAC. Crystal started REFEYEANCE Makeup & Hair in 2010 and has focused her creative direction on providing brides with the best customer service and event coordination partnering with over 150 of the best artists in Washington area.
