I used Refined Beauty for my September wedding and it was one of the easiest processes in my wedding planning. The whole team was so accommodating to all the services I needed for my big day. I used them for makeup and hair for the mothers, flower girl, bridesmaids, and me. They arrived early on the day of the wedding and had everyone finished and ready before schedule. Jessica was so helpful with my ideas and concerns. It could not have gone better for us. I could not recommend them enough for a wedding or an event.

I used Refined Beauty for my wedding party plus ten bridesmaids! The team was super professional and accommodated my large wedding party well. I loved my hair and makeup look and appreciated Jessica’s suggestions for what complements my hair and skin. I really felt that Jennifer, Jessica, Erin and Gabby cared about me as the bride and made my experience stress free. We did not start super early in the morning and we finished with plenty of time for touch ups. The team even arrived before our start time and looked glam and in heels! I felt like a celebrity with how they pampered me and even gave me an emergency Mrs swag bag after my services. I cannot recommend them enough and look forward to their services to come!

I wish I could give Refined Beauty a hundred stars!! I had my and my bridesmaids' hair and makeup done with Refined Beauty. Communication beforehand was effortless and Jessica always sent helpful emails and reminders. My trial with Erin was so much fun and Erin took the time to get to know me and to understand exactly what I wanted. I could tell immediately that Erin was extremely passionate and knowledgeable regarding wedding hair and makeup. On the day of our wedding, Erin and Ben were both so great! We all looked so beautiful! They were professional, friendly, and fit right in with our group. Ben did an excellent job, especially with my mom, who is extremely particular with her hair. The bridesmaids' hair withstood a very long day full of pictures and lots of dancing. Our makeup, done by Erin, was absolutely stunning. I was so impressed that all of our makeup stayed on all day and night despite us all sweating from the heat. Refined Beauty was so easy to work with, flexible with what I was looking for and quick to communicate. I worked specifically with Janet and she really went above and beyond to make sure everyone looked their best, giving everyone unique looks that matched what they wanted and their complexion. The entire team at Refined Beauty has been absolutely fantastic! From the moment I booked my wedding, they were very responsive and helpful in my planning my vision for my wedding day. For about 7 months leading up to the wedding I booked all my facials, hair appointments, and lash appointments through Refined Beauty and everyone there is SO friendly and welcoming and make everything so fun! My bridal party was 11 people total and everyone was so happy with their hair and makeup the day of the wedding and mine turned out better than I could have imagined. Kikki worked with me leading up to our wedding with several facials and helped me get my skin looking and feeling fabulous for the big day! I got a lash lift and tint and eyebrow tint from Kikki prior to the wedding and was so happy with the results. I was referred here by a friend to try Simply Tan their custom spray tan services for my wedding and had a GREAT experience. Halie absolutely nailed it - I felt sunkissed without feeling unnatural or orange. I did a trial with her pre-wedding and I loved that when I came back for my tan before the big day they had exactly what they did last time listed in their system to ensure that the color and wash-off time were consistent with what we had done before.

The ladies at Refined Beauty are amazing! Getting ready on my wedding day was so relaxing and awesome with Jennifer and Janet helping us! I love going to the salon for all my wedding beauty prep, facials, eyebrows with Kiki and haircuts! I always feel and look amazing! I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup for my wedding day!

My whole bridal party looked amazing! Jennifer and Janet were ahead of schedule, giving them time to do touch ups before pictures. They expertly styled everyone in a way that fit their hair and skin types. We all looked great even at the end of the night! We had 13 women who needed hair and 12 who needed make up and they worked NON-STOP to make sure everyone looked and felt beautiful AND we stayed on our strict timeline. If you need a beauty team, Refined Beauty is absolutely AMAZING! They have such talented makeup and hair artists! I've been going to them for a few months now for everything including hair, eyebrows, etc. and I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. They were on time for the wedding day, and worked so efficiently! Jennifer, Janet, Kikki, and Ben are absolutely amazing and so talented! Highly recommend!

Where do I even begin! The ladies of Refined Beauty made me feel so special through every step of my wedding planning. Jessica being extremely helpful through all of my questions and gave her honest opinion always. I felt like a princess during my hair/makeup trial and then felt like a queen during my wedding day. I absolutely loved working with Refined Beauty for my wedding day hair and makeup! I worked with Jessica specifically. During my trial, she asked tons of questions and spent a good amount of time listening to understand what I really wanted out of my wedding day look. Additionally, she was refreshingly honest. When I showed her pictures of hair styles that were a bit unrealistic for my thinner hair, she worked with me to problem solve and came up with great solutions to ensure I got the look I wanted. Jessica has a way about her that made me feel immediately comfortable from the very beginning. In addition to doing my hair and makeup day of, she said all the right things to calm my bridal nerves. In addition to Jessica, I had Ben and Janet do my bridesmaid’s hair and makeup. They were also amazing. Not only did everyone in my bridal party look beautiful, but we also all thoroughly enjoyed working with these two. We had a super early day (hair and makeup started at 6:15 am), but Ben, Janet, and Jessica brought in positive vibes and helped us start the day off right. They were also super professional. We had a tight timeline for the entire day and the three of them worked together to ensure we were done with hair and makeup right on time! Outside of hair and makeup, I had a bridal spray tan with Katie. She was amazing too! She worked with me to get the perfect color tan based on my natural skin tone. She was informative and so friendly. There aren’t many people I would feel comfortable with while being very close to naked. But somehow, Katie’s comforting and friendly demeanor made it feel normal. I also want to give a shoutout to the owner, Jennifer. Each time I was in the salon, she made it a point to talk with me and check in on how wedding planning was going. The whole team made me feel so great and so welcomed!

I booked Refined beauty for my wedding and am so glad that I did! Jennifer was absolutely fabulous, she listened to every single change I wanted to make and walked me through the entire process so I felt extremely confident in what was happening. As someone who has a skin tone that makeup artists seemed to have trouble matching, Jennifer made me and my bridal party look extremely natural which was much appreciated! Ben did a terrific job with my bridal party hair too. The price is well worth the service and I cannot recommend Refined Beauty enough for future brides!

Highly recommend Refined Beauty for your wedding hair and makeup services! When researching vendors, I always check out reviews and their website. Refined Beauty’s website literally answered all my initial vendor questions and was SO informative. Jennifer was super attentive and checked up on me throughout the planning process. I had the pleasure of meeting all 3 people who were doing the hair and makeup for myself and wedding party. Jessica did my wedding hair and makeup. For my trial, she was honest, insightful and super supportive. I don’t wear much makeup, so I didn’t know what would look well on my skin. She provided helpful tips and advice and we decided on the perfect look for me. She said your wedding makeup should be a step up from what you typically wear. My wedding look stayed true to myself, while also being bold. She also made me a little touch up kit for the rest of the day. Kikki did my bridal facial and WOW my skin looked and felt great. All the products she used were soothing, natural and not irritating. Ben did my bridal hair blowout. My hair has never felt SO smooth and silky afterwards. He also recommend me to use the milk shake products and I LOVE the nourishing shampoo and conditioner. I definitely feel and see the difference ever since I switched to these products. All 3 of these lovely people were super sweet, easy going and fun. They were jamming to the get ready playlist I made and got along well with everyone. My mom, mother in law and my bridesmaids all loved their hair and makeup. Everyone looked SO beautiful! Book Refined Beauty for your wedding! You will not be disappointed!

Refined Beauty was so great to work with for our wedding! They were very accommodating and easy to work with. After a great trial with Janet, she took my feedback and put together a plan to make the day of go even more perfectly. My whole bridal party and I were so happy with our hair and makeup! My biggest concern was that our schedule for hair and makeup would be tight and we ended up ahead of schedule on the day of! Can't recommend Refined Beauty enough!

Refined Beauty Salon provided my hair and makeup, as well as my bridal party's hair, for my wedding. I was so thrilled with my hair and makeup on the day of -- it was exactly what I was hoping for. My bridal party also loved their hair. Our stylist, Jessica, was a "junior artist" (one to five years of experience) so her price point was better for my budget. However, the quality of makeup and hair was beyond junior level! She did a great job! The only hiccups during my time working with Refined Beauty were during the payment and hair/makeup trial phases. I found the payment policies confusing and accidentally paid for everything (deposit + trial) up front before the trial. Luckily, I ended up choosing Refined Beauty but if I hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten that deposit back. Also, on the day of the trial, my makeup was heavier than I wanted and my hair refused to curl, so I wasn't sure how things would look on my wedding day. However, Jessica was amazing on the day of -- we walked through my feedback again and did the makeup and hair step by step so I could tweak as needed. Ultimately, everything turned out perfect and I'm so, so happy with my wedding day look!! I would highly recommend Jessica!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Refined Beauty for your wedding day hair! Janet did a spectacular job on my hair and made my vision come to life! She was thoughtful during the hair trial – asking questions about what I was looking for, realistically offering her professional advice and suggestions, and checking in with me on what I thought as it came together. I ended up even coming to her for a haircut the week before the wedding because I trusted her to make it look great! On the big day, it was so fun to have Janet and Jennifer there to do the entire wedding party’s hair and some makeup. They got along great with all the girls and made everyone look GORGEOUS! I felt so confident and beautiful after Janet did my hair! I got so many compliments on how perfectly it turned out! Jennifer and the Refined Beauty team are beyond amazing! For my wedding, they did bridal, bridesmaid and family hair and makeup all before my 10am wedding! Jennifer was unbelievably accommodating to all of my scheduling difficulties and her team is so incredibly talented. My wedding reception was outdoors on a day the temperatures hit above 100 degrees and my hair and makeup remained flawless. I cannot recommend Refined Beauty enough. I am so glad Refined Beauty's quality products, talent and industry knowledge were a part of my wedding.

Refined Beauty is great! Jennifer made it very easy to organize our event and was very quick to answer my questions. Our stylist, Janet, came on site to do my hair/make-up, my bridemaids' hair, and my mom's make-up. Janet was prompt, professional, and styled each girl exactly how they wanted. During out outdoor ceremony, it started pouring and we finished our ceremony under umbrellas. Despite the rain, our hair and make-up still look perfect - there were no strands out of place and no smudges! Even after  the rain and dancing for hours, my hair still looked amazing by the time I made it back to the hotel. I was very impressed with the quality of work Refined Beauty provided and would highly recommend them for any special occasion!

Choosing who was going to be in charge of my hair and makeup for my wedding was one of the hardest decisions I had to make while planning for the big day, and I did a lot of research before choosing Refined Beauty! I don't wear a ton of makeup regularly so I did not want my makeup to be too over the top and cakey but I also wanted to look beautiful and glamorous on my wedding day (obviously). After meeting and consulting with Jennifer I felt so confident she could make my vision come to life, and she truly did. Jennifer and her team ended up doing my hair and makeup as well as my entire bridal party and they did a FANTASTIC job. They were so professional, got everyone done in a timely manner, and made everyone look beautiful. I also must mention I had Jennifer give me some highlights and tape in hair extensions prior to my wedding day, and she did an amazing job with this as well. I am so happy I chose Refined Beauty to be a part of my wedding day and I will absolutely continue going to Jennifer for all of my future hair and makeup needs! So excited she moved downtown Naperville too!

Jennifer at Refined Beauty is amazing!! She made my bridesmaids and me so incredibly happy on my wedding day with her talented makeup skills! Refined Beauty is THE BEST! I do not even know where to begin on their all around amazing services. First of all, Jennifer is a life saver! I had another hair/make up group booked for my wedding, and about 1.5 months out they fell through. I contacted Jennifer after a recommendation from Emerson Creek. Jennifer made me feel so much better after a whirlwind of emotions, she instilled confidence that she could provide what I needed on my wedding day. On my trial day with the previous group, they did not think I could have the desired look I had wanted for my wedding day due to the length of my hair, Jennifer said no worries and made it work. Jennifer truly takes the time to listen to what your dream day and look should be. I was in LOVE with my hair and make up. I am not even being biased here, but I have never been in a wedding party that everyone getting their hair done liked their results, well all of my bridesmaids loved their hair and make up, everyone was very happy with the results! Jennifer even put a braid in my flower girl's hair last minute! Thank you for helping make my wedding day perfect!

I booked Refined Beauty for my June 2019 wedding. I am so glad I was able to work with her the day of my wedding. I have naturally "heavy" hair and I added a whole other head of hair via extensions. I was shocked that my hair stayed literally ALL DAY LONG. I had a church ceremony so we were ready around 11:30am and I did not go to bed until about 3am! My hair was still styled when I went to bed! I even threw it up in a cute pony for breakfast the next day and the curls STILL looked awesome! All of my bridesmaids hair was flawless and Jennifer even gave my mother in law's short pixi cut an amazing look! She is very knowledgeable about her craft. Her work speaks for itself. If you are looking for a company that will make you look flawless on your day, Refined Beauty is it!

I had a great experience with Janet and Sabyrna on my wedding day. Everything looked wonderful! Janet took time after my trial to work on the fingerwave I wanted. They even helped my bridesman style his hair just right when he was struggling. Thank you for knocking my look out of the park.

Jennifer has been my stylist for years, (because she rocks!), but was not available to do hair and makeup for the weekend of my wedding... so I hired her new (ish) associate Janet for the big day. The hairstyle Janet did for me somehow turned out even lovelier than it had during during my hair and makeup trial appointment, and the makeup looked beautiful! My wedding party members were equally delighted with their hair and makeup. Janet is a consummate pro, who checked in with us regularly to make sure we were getting the looks we wanted. If you are lucky enough to get Jennifer and/or Janet to do your bridal hair and makeup, you can take a deep breath--you could not be in better hands. <3

If I could give a rating of more than 5 stars I would! I found Jennifer in my search for a hair/makeup artist to help me look my best on my wedding day. I now go to her all the time. My wedding day is truly the best I've ever looked and I can't thank her enough. I still look at my wedding photos just to admire my hair! My bridesmaids were obsessed with their hair and makeup (done by Jennifer and Janet) and could not believe how their hair could look elegant and relaxed at the same time - and not a hair was out of place after a long night of partying!

Jennifer was amazing and I could not have been luckier in finding her. I had a hair trial elsewhere that was a disaster and just weeks before my wedding, needed to find a new hair stylist. I went out to Jennifer's salon and she was incredibly patient and understanding as we worked through my wedding day look. The day of, her and her team arrived on time and they were both great in working with several different hair types. My hair turned out exactly as I imagined - scratch that -even better than I could have imagined! I was referred to Jen at Refined Beauty by a 2016 bride. I loved her hair/makeup along with her bridesmaids and just had to know who she used. As soon as I got Jen's info, I booked an appointment. From the start, Jen made me feel so comfortable and over the last 6 months before my wedding, I saw her regularly. She helped me try to decide my vision for how I wanted to look and even how I wanted my wedding to look. She gave me advice and helped me realize exactly what I wanted. My wedding day came and she was absolutely perfect. Even just her showing up calmed me down because I was a bucket of nerves! She did my hair/makeup, my nieces hair, and all of my bridesmaids hair. Everyone looked fabulous and all said how amazing Jen was. Two of my bridesmaids are engaged and wanted her information! Jen brought along a friend to help with my girls make-up and (her name escapes me right now) she was fabulous as well! I felt like me but better. I wasn't overdone at all and still felt so beautiful. My husband was also very pleased :). Jen, you were so great leading up to the wedding and hit it out of the park on my wedding day. I don't know where to start, Jen is so talented and so sweet, she did my hair and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding back in May, she kept everyone on schedule and kept me calm. She's professional, fun, caring, and will make you feel so important on your day. I'd recommend her to any bride looking for that unique touch to their special day with hair and makeup.

Jennifer was amazing to work with. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup and felt so beautiful. My bridesmaids and my mom loved her too! She is very professional and highly knowledgeable. She was a calming presence on the day of. I would HIGHLY recommend her!

Not only does Jennifer know her stuff-- she is incredibly sweet, patient, funny and kind! After exchanging a few emails, I booked my trial with her about 6 months ahead of my wedding-- a while I know, but I was really unsure about what I wanted with my hair and makeup and I was pretty anxious. She was sooo good at honing in on the things I was trying to say but not communicating well in "stylist" talk. We totally hit it off and I was so happy to find someone who could translate my mishmash of thoughts and pinterest posts into a beautiful wedding day look. I visited her a few more times in between the trial and wedding for cut and color and it was always like catching up with a dear friend! Having her there the morning of my wedding to help my girls and I get ready was such a great decision! She and her assistant were prompt and professional and it made me happy to see how much my bridesmaids loved their looks. Thank you Jennifer for making sure I looked like my best self on the happiest day of my life!

I was hopeful about Jennifer and team when reading other high reviews. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. I put a "non-refundable" downpayment towards services and then scheduled time for a trial, which was an additional cost. The girl that did my trial was really nice, but I could tell our styles did not mesh. After contacting Jennifer, I was told my options were to pay for another trial, or have a complimentary consultation (what?). She also implied that my issue was not being comfortable with make-up stating "some brides enjoy a second trial to try on their wedding day look since it is not a daily look most are familiar with wearing.." Since I was not happy (and also my airbush skin was orange) I asked if we could work anything out. She said "We value our skill and time and do not offer free trials". Jennifer's refusal to try to work with me ultimately made my decision to move on. This became more frustrating as I tried to work with her on all the money I had paid. She mentioned that my deposit was "non-refundable ". When I reminded her that it should be going toward services and I was just looking for some money back, she told me I had no options. Thus I ended up paying for a trial as well as a payment that I will not see again. I would warn you to not put any money down until doing your trial and don't plan on Jennifer being very accommodating for your "special day".

Jen is the best. She is interested in how you want your end result, she listens to you, to what you like, looks at pics you've saved to show how you want your hair to look like and most of all she is truly a genuine good soul. I had pics to show but had no clue how I wanted my hair colored. By asking me some questions she colored my & highlighted my hair perfectly, I loved it. She styled my hair in an updo almost exactly like this pic I had of Jennifer Lawrence's hair style, it was gorgeous. We talked, we laughed and shared stories. I can't say it Enough, Jen is the best. You will not be disappointed. The makeup artist she brought on location for the day of my daughter's wedding did a phenomenal job as well I felt I looked 10 years younger when those two got through with me.

Jen did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for my engagement photos! She did such a great job I booked her for my wedding shower and my wedding. She has great attention to detail, asks great questions and is so patient and professional. She makes you feel like a model. Jen is the best!

I cannot say enough good things about Jen from Refined Beauty. I am pretty particular about my hair and makeup, so I took a long time to decide on my hair and makeup artist for my big day. I ended up deciding on Jen, and from the moment I talked with her on the phone I knew I made the right decision. Throughout my entire experience with Refined Beauty, Jen was very professional and kind. I emailed her with countless questions and she kindly answered every single one. She was so great to work with during the trial, and she took all of my requests and concerns into account. She was also happy to make a couple changes to my look after the trial. On the day of the wedding, Jen was a great person to have around. She is so sweet and calm.I felt like she was one of my bridal party! She did hair and makeup for my MOH and I, as well as my mother's hair. We were all super happy with everything. It was easily the best hair and makeup I have ever gotten done. I wanted makeup and hair that made me feel beautiful, but still allowed me to look like myself. It was all just what I wanted. It was so important to me that I felt calm and confident before the ceremony, and Jen was such a huge part of making me feel that way. Her talent and professionalism are complimented so well by her kindness and passion to make her customer's feel beautiful. To put it simply, Jen is amazing at her job. For being quite a stressed out bride, she was able to keep me at ease and constantly reassured me that everything was going to turn out perfect…and she was right! One thing that I really appreciated about her, was that she never rushed and always took her time. The trial was a breeze and I only needed to make a couple of changes (of which she graciously obliged). Jennifer was amazing! I called her late in the game (after not liking a hair trial with another stylist), and she was able to fit me in for my wedding (and a trial a few weeks prior). She listened to what I wanted, looked at the pictures I brought in, and figured out how to create the look I wanted for me personally. Her willingness to travel to a location on the day of (vs. her salon) was super convenient and a huge time saver! On top of being awesome at hair & make-up, she's also personable, professional, and fun to work with. She totally rolled with it when I had a "bridal moment" on the day of and felt like the foundation color looked weird on my forehead, even though it looked great everywhere else. She re-did half of the foundation, and it ended up looking fantastic! If you go with Jennifer, she'll exceed your expectations!

Jennifer was amazing, from the trial to the day of my wedding she thought of everything- tips to prepare my skin and a great timeline so that my mom and I could get hair and makeup done, and my three bridesmaids and flower girl got their hair done as well. She made me feel gorgeous and did a great job- but more than that she was a great person to have with me on "my big day," it felt like having another bridesmaid there!

Amazing job done by Jennifer! She was patient, efficient, and so sweet throughout the whole process of getting our hair done. She finished 7 girls all by herself quickly and made all 7 women feel beautiful and wonderful! When she was done, she gave me a bride emergency kit with bobby pins, hairspray, a little mirror, and other fun things! 5/5 would work with her again!

Jennifer Jade did my daughter's hair and make-up for Senior Prom. Having two daughters, I want my girls to feel "done up" for this special event without being "over done". I met Jennifer and her team (Refined Beauty) at my wedding tasting at Hotel Baker. They were all so stunning and kind--I knew they were who I wanted to work with. Jennifer did my trail hair/makeup for my engagement photos and they turned out beautifully. She was very responsive throughout the process and I found her prices to be reasonable, especially considering how talented her and her team are! On my wedding day, Jennifer and her assistant Andrea arrived on time and energized at the hotel. They made my girls, mother, mother-in-law, flower girl and I feel so beautiful and our looks lasted all night. I couldn't believe how nice we still looked in end-of-the-night photos! Jennifer did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I could not have been more pleased! The airbrush makeup was flawless. I would definitely recommend her services and will use her again for other hair and makeup services! The only advice I would give to brides is to make sure to leave extra time in your wedding day schedule. As the bride, my hair and make up was last and it ended up running over. I would recommend scheduling the bride's hair and makeup in the middle of the day, so that you are not running late for pictures/the ceremony. However, all in all everyone in my bridal party, were overly pleased with Jennifer's services. Jennifer is such a sweetheart and a very talented professional!

Jennifer was amazing! She did both the hair and make up for my best friends wedding. She listened to everyones wants and needs and her work was perfection! Jenna did a fabulous job on my hair and makeup. I had showed her numerous pictures before my wedding trial and wanted a few modifications before my big day. Based on my changes and her suggestions for a softer, natural look, she made me feel and look gorgeous for my big day. Price included a deposit ($100) which covered my hair for my big day. A wedding trial with both makeup and hair done ($200). Makeup for my big day ($115).

The cost above doesn't include the trial, which was also $175 for both hair and makeup. The hair was beautiful, and stayed throughout the night even though I was dancing like crazy. My bridesmaids and I went for the natural look, and Jennifer is really good at that. My makeup stayed until the end of the night despite the heat and the dancing. My bridesmaids also looked great, and Jennifer made sure the makeup was cohesive among us. I am really satisfied with Jennifer and absolutely recommend her.
