Reflections By Kari

Kari and her team were absolutely wonderful to work with! Right away, I knew that I would be very comfortable having Kari capture our memories. She was at my mom's house on time, and she and Melissa, her assistant, were always there to catch the moment. We also had a photo booth, and they not only provided the props, but everyone told me afterwards that they loved having such a big space for groups to take pictures in, much better than cramming into a booth! I can't wait to see the final pictures, and I would definitely recommend Kari!

When we were planning our wedding, I was determined to find a phenomenal photographer without spending all of our budget. I emailed and emailed and emailed probably over 30 photographers asking about their prices before I decided that Kari seemed like the perfect fit for us. I was in love with her work before we even met with her. Kari was the only photographer we met with because I just knew she was the "one." When we had the meeting, it just confirmed all of my feelings. She was so nice and absolutely willing to work with our budget. The engagement photos were the real test. And of course they turned out perfect. Way beyond our expectations. She was willing to do any kind of shot that we wanted and she was so creative with coming up with her own ideas. Throughout the next few months Kari was really easy to get in touch with about any questions or concerns we had about the upcoming wedding. The day of the wedding she was even a little bit early, which is always a relief for the bride. She and her assistant were so easy to work with that day. They captured the perfect moments. They even stayed later than their contract was for so that we could get photos for the whole night. Of course that came at a charge, but it was totally worth it. Some of the end of the night pictures actually ended up being some of our favorites. ALL of the wedding pictures came out breathtaking. I couldn't believe how perfect they are! Some of the best I have seen if you ask me :) I can promise you, you will NOT be disappointed if you choose Kari as your photographer. Especially for the price. I was looking at photographers that were charging 3 times what she is with lower quality of work. Thank you so much Kari, we continuously get compliments on our wedding photos and how stunning they are. We are so grateful.

I instantly liked Kari when I met her in person at her studio. Kari stood out for us because she was one of the few who was willing to work with our limited budget. When you are paying for your wedding yourself you have a budget you must stick to but you still hope you don't have to compromise on quality. Kari gave us a really great package and I was really touched. On wedding day Kari arrived right on time and went right to taking pictures as I was getting makeup done. She was also really great at directing me to do different poses for the formals when we were in the bridal suite. For one of the pictures she lay on the floor just to try and get a good shot. And I loved how she fluffed and brought to the front the ruffles on the bottom of my dress so that it would look great for all of the formals. Also, during the reception we tried to sneak away to take pictures and Kari accommodated us even though it started drizzling. She said "aww I can tell you really like that one so let's try to get it". That was really nice. I also liked how well she worked with our videographer. They only just met that morning but they were like a partnership, making sure not to get into each other's way and not trying to compete to get shots but giving each other space to get what they needed. I heard Kari say multiple times to the videographer: "am I in your shot? am I blocking your light?" I appreciated that so much. I can't speak to the pictures because it's only 2 weeks since our wedding so we don't have those yet but we're anxiously counting down. There were some I had included on the shot list I had emailed that we didn't take because both Kari and I forgot about them. We also had rain and timing issues (nothing to do with Kari) which cut picture time a bit short but I think we would have been able to take if we had remembered and some of them were indoor shots. In retrospect I should have kept a copy of the bride and groom picture list or asked someone to be there just to remind us because wedding day is a whirlwind so definitely not easy to remember. Also Kari's second shooter was really great; full of smiles and very personable and hubby said he liked her a lot since she went to take pics of him getting ready. I hope our pics come out beautifully. We are counting down the days. Thanks, Kari for coming to document our day!

A family member had recommended Kari to photograph our June wedding. When I first emailed Kari she was able to work with me and my budget. We met at her studio and discussed our style of photography and locations for photos. A few weeks before the wedding I sent her examples of types of photos I like and didnt like. I also sent her a list of must haves and she carried them out beautifully. I have such a wide variety of photos, different poses and locations. There's no way to pic one favorite! We also did a first look before we got married and she orchestrated the whole thing the day of. I explained to her my wishes of how I would like my first look to be only me and my husband and she made sure of that. We had two photographers the day of our wedding and they were both professional and attentive. Kari sent us CD's of all our photos promptly and she captured every part of our wedding day. She was professional and calm on the day of our wedding which was a big plus since I'm an anxious person and I feel if people around me are high strung it rubs off on me easily. Kari and her assistant photographer were a pleasure to do business with. We are now looking into creating an album of our wedding day. Kari was able to capture the moments of our wedding through photographs, now we are able to relive the moments of our wedding whenever we want. Thanks Kari!

Kari did an amazing job photographing our wedding. Our wedding occurred on January 4th (2 days after a blizzard) and it was during the arctic blast. Although it was bitterly cold, Kari was still able to capture some gorgeous pictures of us outside in the snow. I had a very large wedding party (22 people including 4 children) and Kari was able to get some beautiful shots of our entire wedding party and from various angles. She worked so well with the children in my wedding party and was able to capture some great shots of them. Our wedding pictures are absolutely beautiful. I love all the pictures and am having a difficult time choosing one to display in our home. We, along with our wedding guests, are in awe and amazed by the quality of her photographs. They could grace the cover of a bridal magazine. Kari is extremely talented and her ability to capture the emotions and excitement of our wedding day in her photographs is unprecedented. When I look at my wedding pictures, I can relive every moment of that day. I truly enjoyed working with Kari and I highly recommend her.

Although I have not received all my pictures yet I was able to see a sneak peek of my photos that Kari posted on Facebook and I am extremely pleased! They turned out beautiful!! We received many compliments about our sneak peek photos. Kari and Melissa did an amazing job at my wedding. They are so nice and a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to see the rest of my photos. I would highly recommend Kari.

Kari and her assistant Melissa were amazing. We are absolutley thrilled with our photos. They arrived on time and stayed through the whole event. Kari ensured that we got each of our must have photos and a bunch of candids, too. Kari also sent us the discs of our photos in just a few weeks after the wedding. We felt comfortable with them and couldn't be happier!

Kari does a great job capturing great pictures and then editing them to be gorgeous! She has great prices compared to the competition including 2 photographers and no hour limit, it's a great value! The only downside is it took a little longer than expected to get our photos.

Kari was wonderful to work with. She was with us for 8 hours the day of the wedding and took pictures of us all around the Newport area. She has great vision. She's very calm and not pushy. Her turn around time of the pictures was quick and they were beautifully edited.

My husband and I met with Kari before our wedding. She photographed my friend's wedding and we loved her album. Kari was professional and friendly from the beginning. She worked around our budget and was open to any times and locations we would need pictures. She always responded promptly to any emails or calls from us and we never had an issue. On the day of our wedding, she and her assistant were on time and ready. They were always around to take pictures but never in the way. She was open to any pictures we wanted to take and never made us feel like we were taking too long or wanted too much. She captured every special moment. When our DJ didn't listen to the reception coordinator regarding timing of parent dances/cake cutting, Kari stayed later to take the pictures without any complaint. The final photos were gorgeous. She was able to give us the rights to our photos and that was something that I especially wanted. I would highly recommend Kari for not only a wedding but anything that you would want to remember through photos. We are very happy with our decision to use Kari and hope to use her again someday when we expand our family.

Kari was so much fun to work with and she really went above and beyond at our wedding. Not only was Kari able to get some beautiful shots at our wedding, but she was also able to put together a slide show of about 30 pictures to show at the end of the reception. We were blown away with she was able to put together in such a short period of time. We have not yet seen the final product, but from the sneak preview alone, we are extremely happy with chose to have Kari be part of our day! Her prices are very reasonable and she really does beautiful work.

Kari is extremely professional and provides the highest quality of work. She is someone that makes you feel very comfortable. We were so happy that we chose her as our wedding photographer and would highly recommend her.

We were extremely happy that we chose Refections by Kari photography for our wedding. Kari is just a wonderful person- very easy going and personable- we felt comfortable with her instantly. We had a crazy plan of walking all around New Haven to take pictures- from the hotel to the church and then back to the reception. While it was a lot, Kari was completely on-board and even met with us beforehand to do a walk through and help us choose locations for the photos. I highly recommend Reflections by Kari photography.

Kari does beautiful work, but her personality the day of my wedding was less than stellar. She acted like she was annoyed to be there and like we were bothering her. Also, there was mud on my dress (outdoor wedding the day after a rainstorm) and she told me she'd photoshop it in my photos. She didn't.

Kari photographed our August wedding and did a great job! She was very professional and inventive. She took photos that I would never of thought of. Shes super sweet and fantastic!

Kari was excellent. She met and exceeded our expectations. The photos were absolutely fantastic. She was easy to work with and was very good about getting our proofs to us as soon as possible. She also had the photos available on the internet so guests could have access and order formal shots. She was very creative and very traditional at the same time. She made sure that she covered everything we wanted and then used her own judgement to capture this wonderful day. Everything was so great!
