The breakfast and lunch we had in the bridal suite getting ready, and the dinner during our reception was phenomenal. We served oven roasted chicken and fresh salmon, our guests are still talking about how great the food was! Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and more, and we cannot thank our wedding coordinator, Lisa, and the rest of the Refuge staff for making our wedding the best weekend of our entire lives! If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely choose The Refuge!!! 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️

we arrived for the tour. And, we really appreciated the flexibility of multiple ceremony locations that could work with all kinds of weather. (We had a smaller guest count, under 100, and we didn't have to confirm the location till 2 hours before the ceremony!) Second, the support from Lisa, the wedding coordinator, was invaluable! She is so helpful and knowledgeable. In the lead up to the big day, Lisa was great in clearly communicating details and what was needed, as well as answering any questions. And on the day of, she played a huge pretty in making it run smoothly. It all went off without a hitch and we were just able to enjoy the day! She made wedding planning so much less stressful. (I had three older siblings who married before me, and my parents both commented on how incredibly helpful the Refuge's support and coordination were.) And finally, the food was delicious! It was a big plus for us to not have to hire and manage another vendor for catering. (Also, I didn't get a chance to taste it, but the guests all raved about the hot chocolate bar!) Thank you, Lisa and Refuge team, for helping to make our wedding so perfect and magical!

ouldn't be happier with the turn out. The weather was unpredictable as it rained all morning but turned out to be a sunny warm day. The one thing I would recommend to anyone getting married here is the utilize all of the linen options they have! It was great to choose colors beforehand. I also hired a day of coordinator for just setting up decor and taking it down, that was by far the best decision I had made. Danielle Swanson Events is fantastic for that and very reasonable. The food was great! We chose the mango salsa pork chop and the sirloin steak. CHOOSE two potatoes, we did roasted and mashed and man they were both amazing. All in all, this is a GREAT place to get married.

She was so helpful and gave us a lot of insight on various things that we would have never thought of while we were planning. During the reception, she noticed our desserts were going and went ahead and saved us one of our special pumpkin cookies to bring home, it was so thoughtful! The Refuge Golf Club itself is gorgeous! Even with minimal decorating it looks beautiful. There is plenty of parking and space both inside & outside. We brought yard games to keep kids busy & it worked great! The bon fire was also a huge hit, it was nice for a chilly fall night. The food though, the food was amazing! We went with plated dinners (oven roasted chicken, apple mango pork chop & fettuccini alfredo (vegetarian)). Our guests kept coming up to us throughout the night and telling us how great their food was. The chicken and pork chop were moist & juicy, lots of flavors. The mashed potatoes & green beans were hot- no one was served a cold meal (175 people) & the alfredo was a generous serving. I felt the pricing per plate was very affordable compared to other venues we looked at. We had appetizers and late night snacks as well -both were a hit with the guests & everyone loved them. Another thing I really appreciated about our experience with working with The Refuge was that we were able to decorate the Friday before the wedding. Lisa reached out, let us know that there were no weddings or events planned for Friday so we could come decorate the venue if we wanted to. It was a huge stress reliever - I was able to help decorate it and didn't have to leave it up to someone else to do. They didn't have to let us come in a day early but they did and it meant a lot to us. I'm not sure how often this happens, but I really appreciated being offered. As I said earlier, we didn't have our ceremony there but we were still able to use the bridal suite. It's a nice, quiet, and private area with it's own bathroom! We and the bridal party were able to keep our personal belongings there without worry someone may get into it. It also provided a nice escape for when we just needed to catch out breath (we're introverts). Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend The Refuge Golf Club to everyone looking for a beautiful, reliable, picture perfect venue.

We were told by many that it was some of the best wedding food they’d had. No dry chicken complaints and everything seemed very fresh! Even beyond all of that you will not find a better staff to work with! We worked with Christa who is just a rockstar coordinator. She is unbelievably responsive and willing to work with you on anything to make your day perfect! She kept our day running smoothly and if there were any hiccups we didn’t know!

The day of things were amazing, Christa made sure we were on time for everything and also checked in to make sure everything was going well throughout the day. The bartenders were very good throughout the night as well. The outside ceremony area was so beautiful with all the flowers in bloom and even the tables on the patio had table cloths on them and looked beautiful and provided extra seating for cocktail hour. We highly highly recommend The Refuge as a wedding venue! The entire staff was phenomenal and we couldn’t have had a better day. Christa is one of the wedding and event coordinators there, she is absolutely amazing. She knows weddings well and was so helpful in areas we had no idea about when it came to planning. She truly loves her job and it is obvious in her work. Thank you for an amazing day.

er on our wedding day in August. Lisa did an amazing job coordinating everything and keeping us all on track. Little bumps throughout the day she was handling. Including when my 3 year old daughter (and flower girl) had a melt down shortly before the ceremony. Lisa asked what she could do to help and ran to get her a plate of snacks which helped immensely! She made my 3 year old and 6 year old feel at ease which I believe helped them walk down the aisle confidently with all smiles and even a twirl from my 3 year old. The weeks leading up to the wedding, Lisa promptly responded to my very many emails I was sending her. She was a godsend for making the day run smoothly and calming my nerves. It also rained right as the ceremony was supposed to start, so we were running a little behind. The rain stopped after about 15 minutes and a bunch of staff rushed out to dry all the chairs off for my guests. Our reception space was beautiful, the bartender did an amazing job, and we got SO many compliments on the food! It was an amazing night!

pril of 2020. As for so many others, the event was cancelled because of Covid-19, and rescheduled three more times. Finally, we hosted the reception this November. Each time we rescheduled, the Refuge staff was very flexible and accommodating. Christa was very professional and prompt in her email responses. The event staff organized a wonderful reception. The venue site is beautiful. The food was delicious and portions were generous. A great time was had by all. Thanks again!

n to be there, made sure everything stayed on track and we’re very flexible when we had last minute changes/ideas. I loved having the bridal suite on site for getting into our dresses. They do keep the golf course open, but honestly, we hardly even noticed! Don’t let this put you off! And the food was TO DIE FOR. So incredible, huge portions, and delicious!!
