Our experience with Peter & Shaun at the Reid Castle was stupendous. Every detail was executed with precision. We felt like a royal family the entire day. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the food, drinks, the beauty of the castle itself and how professional the entire staff was. They couldn’t stop saying what a beautiful wedding it was and thanked us for inviting them. The Bridal suites were magnificent, and we had a wonderful time getting prepared for the big event. Peter & Shaun kept checking in with us the entire day and evening making sure our event was successful. Everyone had a great time thanks to Peter, Shaun and their entire staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. We highly recommend hiring Peter & Shaun, you will be delighted you chose the Reid Castle Venue. It was spectacular!

It took me awhile to write this because I wanted to be sure I captured my true feelings as they came to me. With out a question our experience at Reid Castle at Manhattanville was exceptional. Initially we were quite surprised when we learned of our wedding coordinator leaving her job with only weeks to go, however once we were able to coordinate with Devon our wedding planner and Peter and Shaun from Manhattanville we were able to make our dream wedding come true. We were blessed enough to have wedding planner/coordinator Devon Chisholm working with us in advanced. On the day of Devon and Shaun worked seamlessly making sure that everything was set up perfectly for myself and my wife. Peter made every effort possible to make our wedding perfect and exactly as we envisioned it, he was able to coordinate with our vendors that we wanted to have at the wedding as well as help us reach the vendors for other items. The Chapel is something else in the afternoon light. I have to say it was such a spectacular ceremony and celebration people who live streamed the ceremony said it not only looked amazingly beautiful but was truly beautiful. Shaun was a life saver, I had injured my leg at work on Wednesday right before the wedding, I mentioned to Shaun that it was a muscle issue, she returned in 5 minutes with a Thera-Gun within about 15 minutes I was able to walk with no limp and almost no pain. Shaun saved my wedding! I was so worried about having to hobble down the aisle on my wedding day but I was actually dancing. My wife was so impressed with how amazing the venue looked after Devon our DJ, Florist, and Bubble Tea station (Pearl-Dynastea) were set up. We definitely felt that the wedding was beyond our expectations the food and venue was truly immaculate and everyone was very comfortable. Shaun is amazing and Peter was super receptive to our individual needs and expectations when we shared them. I have been to weddings that were much more expensive than ours and they didn’t have the same genuine feeling , if you’re madly in love like Kimberly and I are Reid Castle at Manhattnville is a perfect choice to immortalize your love. We were so happy with the rose garden and the entire venue. Thank you Shaun and Peter for making this once in a lifetime wedding a reality. I cannot tell you how many people were asking me about the building and how we could afford such a spectacular place. The Castle is a one of a kind remarkable place in Westchester. Every staff member including all the wait staff and any other assistants were beyond courteous and helpful. We are so happy that we had a chance to have our wedding at Reid. We were blessed to work with Devon planning it out initially and feel equally blessed to have been able to work with Shaun and Peter to make our day perfect. My husband and I got married at Reid Castle on September 4, 2022, and we have a lot of amazing things to say about Reid Castle, and even more great things to say about catering director Peter Compitello. First of all, no pictures you see online will ever do the space justice. The marble and mahogany throughout is evidence that the castle is old, but perfectly preserved and frequently maintained—a classy and impressive piece of history. It’s also quite spacious and can easily handle at least 150 guests (we had just over 80). Every single guest remarked on the beauty of the castle. We had many meetings with Peter in the week leading up to our wedding, in which he was careful to ask all of the pertinent questions (how many guests, menu options for reception, cloth colors, starting and ending times, vendor contacts, etc.). Peter was very thorough on all details and is knowledgeable on all things wedding. Not only was he ready with loads of questions, he knew how to help us with the items we hadn’t decided on yet. He always worked quickly to get us prices on anything we had questions about and made many adjustments all the way until even after the wedding was over. Peter made efforts to reach out to plan with us, and he also communicated with other vendors such as the DJ, Shaun (in charge of the chapel, where we had our ceremony), our photographer and videographer, and our makeup artist, to ensure each vendor was properly prepared. Peter also matched his schedule with the schedule we had drawn up on our own, to make sure that the catering team was synced up with our reception plan. The day of, we wound up having to push everything back (leading up to the ceremony) about 30 minutes; Peter was coming up to us both (separately, so not to spoil the first look) to give us constant updates on how that delay was affecting the schedule. It’s important to include that from the very beginning, Peter said many times that he wanted our wedding day to be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible for my husband and I. Without question, he and all the staff at Reid Castle delivered on both of those fronts for us 100%. The day before our wedding, his team was already working at 9 am. We had a large number of decorations we needed to work on and store; he and Shaun set us up in a very large, air-conditioned room attached to the castle. When the big day finally came, both of our “getting ready” rooms were set up with water, soda and juices, a fruit spread, coffee and tea, pastries and bagels, and even the makings (champagne and OJ) and glasses for mimosas. We wanted to keep the first look tradition, and so Peter worked with the bridal party and his own staff to ensure that in our getting ready in the same building, we didn’t accidentally catch a glimpse of one another. Our ceremony took place in the O’Byrne chapel next door and was handled excellently by Shaun Herman. Following photos after the ceremony, Peter made sure that all entrances for the bridal party happened in order, that the DJ was all set, and that the catering was continuing on schedule as planned. All our guests made sure to tell us how impressed they were with the venue, the food, the cake, and the professional presentation of everything that went into it.

What can I say, Elena is my girl. This venue is breathtaking and completely knocked us off our feet from the moment we took the tour. It was also one of the best value venues we looked at, with a much more relaxed approach (many of the other venues felt like they were nickel and diming on every single little thing and that was just not the case here). The base price included rooms, food and drink to get ready in the morning, the chapel, cocktail hour, the reception hall, cake, and an afterparty (with full bar), with a reasonable venue fee but no minimums. The food was incredible - several guests said this was the first time they had finished their plate at a wedding- and the cake from DiMare bakery also had our guests raving. The best part, though, was the coordinator Elena, who was SUCH a dream to work with. Very practical, responsive, helpful and kind. She offered great advice and guidance while also helping us tailor the day to how we wanted it to go

We had our wedding September 4th at Reid Castle after not one but two postponements. It was SO worth the wait. The castle itself is magical and options are limitless with all the rooms and spaces especially on a beautiful day. We chose to be married on the right lawn and set up games and smaller tables in the Rose Garden including S'Mores when the sun went down. Elena and the entire staff were just amazing. The crowd inside the castle danced all night and enjoyed the photo booth and even some quiet spots for weary children. Every detail was handled, the food was fantastic and the guests across the board said it was the most wonderful wedding they ever attended. I can't say enough about how happy we were with having our wedding at Reid Castle - thanks Elena and staff for such special memories.

We had our wedding at Reid Castle in late June and the day was perfect. Everyone raved about the food and how beautiful the castle was. Our ceremony was outside in the rose garden (we didn't use the chapel though that is also beautiful!) . Elena is amazing, on the day of the wedding she handled everything seamlessly, and she was always there to answer questions throughout the planning process. She is very professional, so nice, and will work with you to make your wedding vision come to life. She also worked very closely with the vendors to make the day perfect. The best decision was getting married here it really was a magical day!!!

My daughter's wedding was held at Reid Castle. We began working with Elena 6 months prior to the wedding. The venue, food, ambiance, and the beauty of the castle created the atmosphere for the perfect wedding. Elena is highly professional, flexible, knowledgeable, makes helpful suggestions, and is exceptionally attentive to every detail. The wait staff was very gracious and welcoming. They were willing to accommodate family members with special dietary needs throughout the event. Our friends and family enjoyed every minute of the day. I give Reid Castle at Manhattanville my highest recommendation.

We had our wedding at the O'Byrne Chapel and our reception at Reid Castle at Manhattanville on December 28, 2019. The ambiance of the chapel, castle, and grounds are stellar. Elena Sassone, the event coordinator, was phenomenal! She was always available at any time of day or night to answer any questions. Her personal attention to every detail gave us the wedding of our dreams. We give our highest recommendation to Elena and this venue.

We had our wedding reception at Reid Castle 11/10/19 and everything was perfect. We planned it starting 6 months in advance and from the start Elena was wonderful to work with. She handled everything in a personal yet professional manner, was responsive, made good suggestions, and kept us all sane. Manhattanville is where my husband and I went to college and where we met so we had long thought of having our wedding there. Reid Castle is so beautiful that it needs no further ornamentation. The space was elegant, the food, was wonderful, and everyone loved the event. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

My wedding was at Reid Castle on August 17, 2019 and it was absolutely amazing. The character and ambiance of the castle and grounds is so impressive and there was so much space to move around the venue for different parts of the day. From getting ready to outdoor photos to a ceremony in the gorgeous chapel to the cocktail hour in the marble entryway and front rooms to the terraces and main reception room. The food was delicious, well executed and beautifully presented. Elena Sassone who is the event and catering manager was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond all of our expectations and took such an individual interest in all our likes and dislikes for the menu and bar choices and accommodated our every wish. Elena is a true professional and cares about every detail of your event and is there on the day to run the show. I am so happy we chose Reid Castle as our wedding venue. The photos we have are stunning and capture the fabulous qualities of everything Reid Castle has to offer. I definitely felt like royalty for the day!

At Reid Castle, Elena and her coworkers worked endlessly to give us the perfect wedding day. From the beginning, a mere six months before the wedding day, Elena kept in contact, offered options, and made supportive comments and ideas that made the day go by without a hitch. The venue was breathtaking, made even better with Elena’s personal touches. Every morsel of food was perfectly cooked and presented, from the cocktail hour the cake and dessert. We couldn’t be happier about choosing Reid Castle for our wedding and unequivocally recommend the venue for your big day.

It would be one thing for us to say we had the best wedding and reception, but our guests said it, too!! So many people were so complimentary of the space and service that Reid Castle provided for our wedding Mass and reception. While the beautiful setting and proximity between church and reception might be enough to convince you that this venue is for you, what really made the whole process and day so spectacular was Elena Sassone and her staff. Elena went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure that all details were attended to with care and patience. She navigated family dynamics and logistical details with finesse and grace. It helps that the setting is so naturally beautiful without the pretenses of standard glitzy catering venues, but I seriously believe that Elena could make a beach wedding during a hurricane run smoothly. Truly. She managed all of the vendors and treated everyone with warmth and graciousness. An especially nice touch is the availability of rooms for the bridal party to prepare in on the day with a beautiful spread of food and drinks. Everyone enjoyed every moment of the day and this is thanks to Elena and her staff. I have already and will continue to speak highly of O'Byrne Chapel, Reid Castle and Elena Sassone to anyone who will listen!

I got married here on 9.2.2018, and it was truly amazing. The food was delicious and Elena who is basically your built in wedding coordinator is fantastic. Elena made sure I got everything I needed and more, she made the day run smooth and perfect. It was everything I could as for and more! I honestly wish we had more time at the wedding because it was just perfect. When you get married here everything is taken care of for you above and beyond even down to the pre-wedding activities like tastings, there was so much food to try and it was so hard to choose because everything tasted amazing, we even had leftovers. Elena even speaks to all of your vendors to make sure everything day of goes as planned, and even if it doesn't she has about a million back up plans so you would never know something went out of plan. Payment was easy and she takes your numbers day before you get married so you don't pay any extra for guest that back out last minute. They are willing to work with your budget (to a certain extent of course) to give you everything that you want at your own cost. The atmosphere and the decorations just every little detail was perfect. There are also so many beautiful places both in the castle and outside of the castle for pictures and rain or shine there is somewhere you can be. We also used the chapel for our ceremony which is just spectacular. I cannot say enough good things about Reid Castle and Elena it was truly magical, everything we asked for and more. They really made this day the best day of my life.

I truly don't have enough words to express how amazing our wedding was at the Reid Castle. Elena was a DREAM! She helped make our wedding flawless. Her staff was more than accommodating and extremely helpful - they helped us set up for the wedding the day before and the day of, which helped take a lot of the burden from our shoulders. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite and it was more than perfect, they supplied us with all of the food and drinks we needed! Speaking of which, the food for our wedding was BEYOND!!! Each and every one of my guests made a comment on how amazing and superb each and every dish or appetizer they tried were. Elena ensured that everything ran smoothly the day of and I didn't have to worry or coordinate anyone. The venue itself is GORGEOUS and we got the BEST pictures! We got married on the lawn outside, had cocktail hour in the rose garden, and the reception in the grand ballroom. It was my true fairytale. None of it would have been possible without Elena and the wonderful people she hired. My guests even made comments that they loved our bartenders and servers - how lovely, friendly and polite they all were! I can't recommend this venue enough for your wedding. Everything was beyond my wildest expectations.

Our experience at Reid Castle was incredible! From the first moment we saw the castle we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. It's beautiful, elegant and has so much character that no other venue I have EVER seen has! The wedding coordinator, Elena, is patient, helpful and so wonderful to work with. She followed through with everything she promised and was extremely on top of everyone the entire day. Best part is that on top of all of this the food is outstanding and the cost is extremely affordable. Numerous guest told both my husband and I that this was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. 5 stars! I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful and unique establishment!

We had our wedding at Reid Castle in October 2017. The venue is gorgeous inside - the photos simply don't do it justice. It looks especially beautiful in the evening, when all the candles are lit. We got married at 5:00pm, and the late afternoon light was perfect. There are plenty of rooms within the castle that are included in the package, so we were able to do a ceremony, cocktail hour, Korean ceremony, reception and afterparty all within the castle, which made transportation very easy for guests. Plus, we got a ton of compliments on how delicious the food was! Elena, the venue coordinator, is great to work with. She is very busy, so there might be a slight delay in answers, but she is always responsive and was able to provide solutions and answers to any questions we had. And she was very organized on the day of, so we didn't need to worry about a thing. It's a great value, and all of our guests complimented us on choosing such a beautiful space. p.s. if you are a Manhattanville alumnus, make sure to let them know!

I was blown away by our experience at Reid Castle. My husband and I were married there last week and our wedding truly exceeded our expectations. Everything was superb! Do not let the fact that the castle is located on a college campus deter you from pursuing this venue. Our guests raved about the location, with one guest calling the venue a "hidden gem". At no point in time did we ever feel like we were on a college campus. The food was also phenomenal. The chef is accommodating and wonderful to work with. Our guests were stuffed after cocktail hour and still managed to eat their entire entrees. Also, be assured that on your wedding day, the food with taste EXACLY the way it did at your tasting. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the wedding coordinator, Elena Sassone. Elena is nothing short of amazing. She is a professional in every sense of the word. Trust and listen to her - she knows her stuff! If she says there will be enough food at cocktail hour, she means it. If she says the food is amazing and will taste exactly like your tasting, she means it. If she tells your not to worry about something, there's no need to worry about it. She took care of our every need and ensured that our wedding was beautiful and stress free. Elena and her staff were attentive to us and our guests and we couldn't be happier with their services. You will not regret selecting Reid Castle for your wedding venue!!

My husband and I are both alumni of Manhattanville College, so when we started looking for venues, Reid Castle was always on the list. We eventually chose to go with Reid Castle because the Catering & event manager, Elena, with Chartwells (the on-site catering company) was really great. Elena was helpful, had advice about other vendors and helped us work within our budget. We had our ceremony on the lower terraces facing the Castle and it was beautiful. Our cocktail hour was on the Castle terrace and in one of the main rooms of the first floor of the Castle so people could be inside or outside which was great because it was one of the hottest days of the year. Our reception was held in the west room which is a beautiful room with a large leaded glass window and beautiful interior woodwork. The food was amazing. I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. My family are red meat eaters to the core and my husband's family range in vegans to carnivores like my family-everyone was pleased. Elena took care of ordering linens (they were beautiful) and setting up everything from the table settings, to candles around the entire venue, to coloring books i made for the children at the wedding. I had nothing to prep or take care of on the day of my wedding because the staff did so for me. I was free to spend time with my mother and friends getting ready in another beautiful room of the Castle. This venue was perfect for pictures as well, if it was such a hot day we would have taken more advantage of the grounds. Ultimately, we had a beautiful day where we were able to share the place we met with our friends and family.

Paul and I had our wedding at the Reid Castle on July 30th, 2016. Everything about the day exceeded out wildest expectations. The Castle itself is absolutely gorgeous, totally unique. Elena, the caterer, did outstanding work! I can't say enough great things about her! She was knowledgable, very attentive, and more so than anything else, very down to earth. It was a pleasure working with her! Our guests have raved about the venue, the food, and the service. Have gotten lots of "best wedding ever!"
