me in to have a tasting with Devin and Chef. He was able to prepare a custom menu that was not only delicious and fit all of our dietary needs, but still affordable. With all our special requests, it is very easy for food to be bland. It was all great! Our wedding guests were pleased with everything and we were blown away. Service was wonderful throughout the entire night and they even went above and beyond by asking if they can help with a few things that were outside of their duties at the end of the night. We felt like they were truly happy to be there and be a part of our wedding. I can't thank the Classic Catering team enough for their hard work and attention to our requests. Thanks!

icken and KC Sirloin, roasted potatoes, and sauteed broccoli. Everything was fresh (THEY HAND CARVED THE STEAK!), colorful, smelled great and tasted even better. Their staff was what you would expect at a 5-star restaurant. Everyone was constantly cleaning and making sure our guests were accommodated. We had our own cake, but Beth ordered mini cakes for our guests from 3 Women and an oven. They were amazing! I'm still eating them 4 days later. Couldn't have asked for a better team! Thanks Beth. The prices were very reasonable and I feel as though we got every pennies worth with their services. Devyn helped with details I wouldn't have even thought of to make sure everything went smooth day of. My fiance Brad is very hard to please and he raved about it all after we left the reception and had some time to breathe and talk about how we think everything went. Even last minute and unexpected requests were met with a smile and they made it happen seamlessly, with style and authenticity. The food presentation and tablescape were incredible. That alone literally transformed the room. The food was the best wedding food I have ever eaten in my life, and maybe the best food I have ever eaten ANYWHERE in my life! There were so many compliments from so many people. The wait staff was impeccable, I felt like I was at a restaurant and my every need was attended to. I have never had such service at a wedding. Even our parish priest and the church staff were blown away. One of them said to me at least ten times that the catering was "over the top", and they have seen plenty of catering over the years! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting on such a fabulous meal, and making my daughter's dream wedding come true. Especially, I cannot thank you enough, Mary, that in spite of your own personal health issues, you were there, overlooking every detail. It meant so much to all of us!

My friend was equally impressed from start to finish with the care, concern & service she received from the planning process of her daughter's wedding all the way to the final goodbyes at the reception. They were able to truly enjoy the night without having to worry about the food. And to top it all off, she was presented with a bridal basket for the bride & groom to take with them. What a nice touch! I would highly recommend this caterer to anyone who wants to make their wedding an extra special day.

ot disappointed! We selected the ginger turkey with orange marmalade sauce and the brisket, along with boursin mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and salad. Every bit of it was delicious. Many of the guests commented that they were very impressed with the quality of the food, as well as the presentation. The staff is wonderful to work with and they are affordable. We would highly recommend that you consider using Classic Catering for your wedding.

zing to work with and their food is delicious! I may be one of the few brides who actually ate at my wedding, but the food we had sampled was so good, I wasn’t about to miss it. In fact, the catering staff served my husband and I plates with a little bit of everything (including the hors devours we missed while taking pictures) at the head table while everyone went through the buffet so we were able to have some time together to eat and talk about the ceremony. Turns out that was about the only 10 minutes we spent alone all night, so it was really nice to have that time. We met with Mary and Doug twice before the wedding and both times Doug had an amazing array of food for us to try. It was so hard to pick! We were able to use their wonderful menu as a base, but at the same time add some personal touches. Doug did a fantastic fruit carving for our cocktail hour to go with the appetizers. We are big barbeque fans, so Doug made his famous beef brisket but we brought several barbeque sauces from St Louis and Kansas City to go with it. We also had always wanted an ice cream sundae bar and Mary and Doug made it happen! That was definitely a crowd favorite! Since they have been doing this for a long time, Mary and Doug also bring a lot of expertise about weddings in general that was hugely helpful. Things that I would never have thought of, Mary always made sure to ask, even if it had nothing to do with catering. Most importantly for my husband and I, Mary and Doug really took the time to get to know us and were almost like an extra set of parents by the time we got to the wedding. We were so happy they could be part of our big day and have stayed in touch since then. If you are able to get Classic Catering for your wedding, you have found some incredible food and some equally amazing people.

ion to detail is remarkable. We asked Mary to create a giant Tuscan Charcuterie table for our cocktail hour, and it was absolutely amazing. She created a table that was not only visually stunning, but also had a wonderful variety of flavors. The dinner buffet was lovely and our menu choices all tasted delicious. Our guests are still talking about the food, and most importantly, the Bride and Groom were very pleased as well. We also had Classic Catering flip the venue space from wedding to dinner reception, and they executed that beautifully. I wish we had another daughter so we could do it all over again! I would certainly recommend them for any wedding or corporate event. Five stars to Classic Catering!

nd her staff a few hours before the reception began as I was tending to some last-minute details. I was immediately impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. Every member of the staff was friendly and performed beyond my expectations. I consider myself a "foodie" and am consistently underwhelmed by most dinners served at wedding receptions. The food prepared by Classic Catering was outstanding. The "bruschetta bar" was flavorful and beautifully presented with an assortment of seeded crackers and flatbreads. I found myself wishing I had eaten more later in the evening. Dinner was fantastic. There was a carving station with Kansas City Strip Steak and probably some of the best Smoked Turkey I have ever had. It was served with a Orange-Marmalade/Horseradish sauce that complimented it perfectly. The Roasted Vegetable Medley with Asparagus was cooked and seasoned perfectly, but my favorite item was the Roasted Fingerling Potatoes. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The bartenders were great and set up the bar, including a Bloody Mary bar, exactly the way we had hoped with little direction. I would highly recommend Mary and her staff at Classic Catering to anyone planning an event in the Kansas City area.

d! They went above and beyond to help us with additional desires we had for our wedding beyond food, for example working with us to have a water station at our outdoor summer wedding. We chose to do buffet style, however, Classic brought our food to me and my groom so that we didn't have to go through the line. They also had a waitor standing near us to bring us whatever we needed. Classic was very professional, and we had many compliments on the food that we served. Everyone enjoyed it! Especially the brisket.

The buffet was displayed beautifully and the personal service for the bride and groom was a nice touch. They also cut the cake for us and at the end packaged all the leftovers including the cake.

d (most importantly) delicious! We had a variety of 6 hors d'oeuvres, an array of cheesecakes and chocolate-dipped strawberries for 195 guests. Everything went over great with our guests of all ages, especially the fingerling potatoes with fondue and desserts! I personally wouldn't recommend the macaroni, as it is a difficult item to have as an appetizer, but I heard nothing but race reviews and multiple guests wanted to know who catered. The display was beautiful, refreshed often, and extremely clean. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly without being obtrusive. The most important thing was that my husband, myself, nor a single person attending had to give a single thought to the food or service. Amazing. A final note: every time we entered Classic Catering, whether for our consultation or just to pin down particulars, there was a beautiful light spread of snacks waiting for us...pretty sure the husband wants to go back just to visit-ha! Highly recommended as a company that begins to feel like family.

We had no issues with anything! Even when our guest count went down at the end we had no problem getting the refund for over paying, we had it in 2 days! food was spectacular! We had a fairly large wedding and decided to have our food buffet style. It was put together very elegantly and we received tons of compliments from the guests of our wedding on how great the food was! They also provided the bartending services for our wedding and customized our beer, wine and liquor selections to best suit our needs and likes! The bar was run very well and the drinks were great! Mary is an added bonus! She is very experienced with catering weddings, and she's very detailed and really helps with the planning process. I did not have a wedding coordinator, so it was kind of hectic on my mom and me, but having her was definitely an asset. The food was delicious! Our guests really seemed to enjoy the fingerling potatoes with the cheese fondue, and the Asian style chicken satays. I highly recommend attending one of their tasting parties and I would definitely hire them again!

Classic Catering surpassed all of our expectations even after my initial tasting and our guests are still talking about the Champagne Chicken weeks later. They were the best vendor we worked with on our wedding and I give them my highest recommendation for yours!

We chose a 6 piece hors d'oeuvre buffet to save money, but we still went way over budget because of additional fees for customizing the hors d'oeuvre package, 19% service charge (that is not gratuity), and cost for rentals. We are so glad we went with them, and it was all worth it, but brides just need to be aware of the many additional fees associated with Classic (as well as many other catering companies).

th twice-baked new potatoes. Hands down the most professional and delicious tasting was with classic catering and they also gave me the best quote. They allowed me to have a pre-ceremony cocktail as one of my free drinks and even came with me to rental meetings and helped me with light, linen, tent, seating, and generator rentals. They make everything seem doable (which is why they agreed to have my wedding in the forrest with only romantic light and very little power for them. People raved about the food. Everything was well displayed, they work alot to have their displays be off the brides mind, but perfectly in line with her decor. They checked in multiple times and gave me a heads up on anything that might surprise me cost-wise. Other comments from the guests beyond the food being delicious was the fact that everyone was excited about talking to the servers and the bartender was such a nice guy. Seen as how the forrest was cold on the day of my wedding, It was so nice to know that even the service who was working hard were having a great time with people. Classic catering has such an incredible team, such a relaxing and capable presence. Loved working with them, would choose them again in a heartbeat. They offered to return the alcohol that wasn't used at the wedding and gave us TONS of leftovers.

eception, I would have invited them! When I had a family emergency during my wedding planning, I turned to Mary. Not only did she suggest our reception venue (she actually suggested several) she was an amazing help with the menu for our hors d'oeuvres. I am pretty laid back but they went out of their way to get to know me and make everything perfect! They were fantastic at suggesting the best combination of foods to create a cohesive blend of flavors and presentation. The food looked amazing, tasted great, and was made with care that I don't think any other caterer could give. I was so blessed to have found them on the knot. They made my festive fall wedding far beyond fantastic! Go to a tasting and you will know Classic Catering is the best. (The thai fruit carvings are pretty sweet, too!)
