My daughter received her wedding video and photos and actually her engagement Photos. The quality of all 3 was something I have never seen before in all the previous weddings I have been too The photographers and the videographer were so amazing and professional I would highly recommend them to anyone

Unfortunately we were very unsatisfied with the services provided by R.E.M. We had such a wonderful wedding with exceptional vendors so it is so unfortunate that I have to write this poor review. We got married last December and the picture content we got was not at all what we would expect. No individual shots with bridesmaids, limited group photos in a hotel lobby (suggested location by the team) with unwanted items in background which were not edited out (chip vending area, etc.), very limited shots of my husband and I, etc. More frustration came when we didn't receive our video for 8 months, and during which there was no communication from them to reach that it would be very late (per our signed contract) unless I contacted them first. Their response to us politely vocalizing our disappointment after months of waiting with no effort of reaching out on their end, was the owner trying to guilt me implying that I dont understand how hard it is to work during COVID. As a Healthcare worker on the front lines, this was exceedingly insulting. On top of that, throughout the entire process, they kept calling my husband Marcuse (his name is Marcus) because I had a typo on the initial form reaching out to them, even though we verbally corrected it several times, which wouldn't have been a big deal expect they put the incorrect spelling on the title scenes to our wedding video. It just showed a lack of attention to us during the process and really the last straw. There are so many amazing vendors out there. I would continue to look elsewhere for yours.

I had an amazing experience with R.E.M. They did our engagement session and wedding. They were punctual and communicated thoroughly with us to know what we envisioned for our wedding. Both Peter and David were amazing photographers. Our photos turned out excellent. It took R.E.M 6 weeks to send us our wedding photos. Jeff was fun to work with as a videographer. I highly recommend!

R.E.M. was by far the BEST decision we made in our wedding vendors! The team was incredibly responsive and supportive through all of the wedding prep. The day of the wedding, each photographer and the videographer went out of their way to make our bridal party and guests comfortable, and they caught amazing candids. I cannot recommend R.E.M. enough.

The entire team at R.E.M . was great to work with. Despite having our wedding in the middle of the pandemic, the communication and coordination with Robert and Izabela went really well. We asked for the photography and videography services and got everything we wanted within our timeframe and budget. Agnes, the photographer, and Gabi, the videographer, were punctual and fantastic to work with. They captured the best moments and gave us something to cherish forever.

R.E.M did a great job capturing our wedding day in Chicago. Our photos and videos came out beautifully and in great quality. Their group was very professional, dedicated to providing the highest quality work, polite and kind in all their dealings, accommodating of our cultural needs, and attentive to detail. I would highly recommend them for any upcoming special events!

From start to finish, Robert & the entire R.E.M. Team have been unbelievably amazing to work with! They were super accommodating and understanding about the date changes due to the pandemic and I appreciated that so much. They really care about their client needs and are easy to communicate with. Something that I really appreciated is that the entire team was culturally aware of the various events and parts of a Hindu wedding ceremony and they knew exactly what needed to be photographed and caught on video. R.E.M team is beyond amazing to work with. They've been responsive and helpful from the beginning. Picture quality were exceptional for the engagement photos. They were extremely professional in directing us at taking good photos during the chaotic wedding day. Not to mention their professional reminders to capture shots/moment that could easily been forgotten on the wedding day. I only have great things to say about R.E.M. Video and Photography! My husband and I hired R.E.M. to do the videography for our wedding in January 2020. It was the best decision! From the first meeting to the wedding day to the pickup of the DVDs, it was an amazing experience. Robert is a true professional, and he's kind, patient, and excellent in his craft. Our wedding was a Catholic ceremony with Filipino traditions, and every detail we asked for was documented on the video. We had 325 guests at the reception, and he did a great job getting a shot of everyone and recording all the fun programs we had during the evening. The best part about R.E.M. Video is that you not only get the highlight reel, but you get a full documentary of your wedding day! We loved that! Unlike any other. We can relive the best day of our lives through the beautiful documentary. I highly recommend R.E.M. Video and Photography for your wedding video!! If I didn't already have a photographer, I would have gone with R.E.M. as well. I hope to work with them again one day (maybe a renewal of vows)... or see them at a wedding I attend. Izabela & Agnes at REM photography, were amazing! They came prepped with photo ideas, & wasted no time. They were a joy to work with throughout the whole wedding planning prices, on our wedding day, & post wedding day as weLL! our pictures turned out amazing & we got them back so fast! Robert was very easy to work with and was very responsive to e-mail. We used him solely for videography, and things we appreciated about him: 1. He has experience with traditional Indian weddings, so he understood the major milestones that occur in our weddings 2. We wanted to livestream our wedding for guests who were unable to join, and he was able to get this set up prior to our wedding date so we could share the information for our guests 3. He takes great pride in his work, and he made sure that our video was perfect (highlights and documentary). Sound quality and video were great! For the level of work received, his rate is extremely competitive.

We worked with Robert, Izabela and Armin for our September 2018 wedding, and they are hands down the BEST in the business!!! I had calls with them to plan out the day and go over the type of pictures I wanted to capture. We had an amazing experience working with REM for our wedding photo and video! Everyone we communicated with and worked with was prompt, friendly, and professional. Our photographer and videographer on our wedding day made sure we got plenty of great shots without interrupting the flow of our day. We got our photos back quickly, there were tons of photos and they looked phenomenal. The photographer and videographer worked together very well. I would 100% recommend!

I highly recommend R.E.M!!! Our initial meeting with Robert was fantastic. He showed us albums from past weddings and really listened to all our needs and visions. My now-husband and I agreed that capturing the memories of our day was at the absolute top of our list of importance, and I'm so glad I found REM! I first started contact with Robert to get basic information, and he could not have been any nicer. Once booked, we arranged for our engagement pictures and they turned out AWESOME. We still get compliments on them. After seeing those, we knew we were in good hands for our big day, and REM did not disappoint! We received our wedding pictures back and love them!!! The weather wasn't the greatest for our day (with outdoor ceremony) and you would think it was perfect weather looking at our pictures! So many beautiful shots. Robert captured wonderful footage for our wedding! It is so wonderful to be able to relive our wedding day over and over. We got a clip, an edited version, and unedited footage. I will forever be grateful for everything Robert got. The price is wonderful and fit into our budget. R.E.M. was a recommendation from our venue. Thank goodness they were recommended because they were beyond amazing prior to, on the day of and after the wedding. We had both photography and videography for our wedding and we were blown away by their talent and professionalism. Our wedding was supposed to take place outdoors. With 3 days before the wedding and massive rains in the forecast, REM stayed calm and figured out an AMAZING alternative place for pictures since ours were going to be outdoors. Agnes was our main photographer and was beyond amazing. The company allows you to fill out a list of people you want photographed so you don't have to worry day of and they got everything I asked for and more. Robert is the most talented videographer. Out of all the wedding videos I have seen, ours was crystal clear both image and voice wise. We had no mics on and you could hear everything!! He truly captured all the emotions and special moments. I would recommend R.E.M in a heartbeat to all my family and friends. You will not go wrong and they will work with you to make everything exactly how you imagined it. THANK YOU R.E.M!

We hired REM Photography less than 2 months before our wedding in December, 2017. They were very flexible and worked with our budget for our small wedding. Izabela from REM Video & Photography was our photographer and she was amazing. She worked quietly and paid attention to every detail. She and Robert worked to ensure every important moment was captured. The pictures are stunning with lots of options and angles! We have no complaints and no regrets. We highly recommend REM Video & Photography.

R.E.M. Is AMAZING. We used them for our Oct 2017 wedding in Chicago. Robert was great on our initial call, answering all of our questions and helping us understand how many hours we'd need a photographer for, and even the pros and cons of a first look because we were torn. Fast Forward to the wedding, we had Agnes as our photographer and she was the best. She was assertive when she needed to be, flexible, she let us take all the photos we wanted, and helped stage beautiful shots we didn't even know we wanted. During the reception she helped get a family photo of at least 60 people, got us organized and back on the dance floor in less than 5 minutes. I cannot say enough good things about Agnes, Robert, and the rest of the team. Our shots came out beautiful and I cannot stop looking at them!

I just had R.E.M. for my wedding, we had Agnes for photography and Sorin for videography. I cannot express how happy I am that I was able to book them for my wedding. I cannot express how great both of them truly are. They really took charge and to get the best pictures. During the reception they were on top off getting so many pictures and were in the middle of all the dancing getting the best shots. I cannot recommend R.E.M. more. They truly were the best and the nicest people ever. They got amazing shots and coverage and truly helped make the day special.

Our videographer, Goeff, captured all of the moments of our day and turned them into a work of art. They were professional, entertaining, and very encouraging of myself as a bride and the choices I had made in general. It was wonderful to hear that I had "chosen the right man" after I read his letter to me aloud, and that I "looked stunning" as we walked hand in hand down the aisle. Highly recommend!

Agnes and REM were our favorite of all of our vendor picks. They were professional and captured every moment of our special day (from getting ready, to staged shots, to dance floor candids) with a beautiful and unique perspective. Our photos are works of art. Agnes had sch a good eye and was able to suggest stunning locations. She was a great improviser. My favorite part about working with Agnes was that she was very vocal and forward when she needed to be, but was able to blend into the crowd and be an observer when needed, as well. I will cherish our photos forever.

When it came to our wedding, capturing our special day was at the top of the list for what was important to me (other than marrying my best friend!). We were so lucky to have found REM Video & Photography, and I couldn’t be happier to have had them be a part of our wedding. We first worked with REM for our engagement photos and had the amazing Agnes as our photographer. To set the scene, my husband and I were racing across the city of Chicago on foot to make it to our location on time to meet Agnes (a late workday caused us to be late), which resulted in us being drenched with sweat and out of breath from running in the August heat. Agnes not only met us with a smile, but she also had a vision that I could only dream of. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully, you would never know the rush or aftermath my husband and I experienced getting there! For our wedding day, we had Robert as our videographer and Armen as our photographer. Working with these two was a dream (notice the trend with working with REM!). Armen made sure we got every photo we wanted and captured every special moment. I am very self-conscious when it comes to photos, and every bride wants to look gorgeous on her wedding day. Armen made sure that happened and eased all of my fears. I initially didn’t think I wanted a video of our wedding, but after seeing Robert’s work I was convinced! And I am SOOOO glad we had him get video of our special day. He creates a highlight montage that is absolutely magical. Now I can’t stop looking at our wedding photos or video! Our wedding day was perfect, and I am forever thankful that Robert and Armen captured all of it for us to cherish forever. REM Video & Photography is simply the best!

What a wonderful team to work with! While hiring photographers, you need people who are calm and make you feel at ease. REM did just that for us :) Would recommend them to everyone!

R.E.M. was a GREAT CHOICE! They were very thorough in collecting info on what kind of pictures we were hoping to get throughout the wedding and party. It was clear they really cared about getting shots and video we would be happy with. We got several emails in the months leading up to our wedding day with reminders and requests for timing/location info for the big day; it was one less thing to worry about knowing that when the team arrived on the day of they would know exactly what to do and where to be. They were always super nice to talk to and quick about responding to emails and phone calls. Robert was great to work with at the studio and the photographer and videographer team was great. We were very happy with the photos that Izabela and her assistant took and can't wait to see the video and trailer that Gabriel is working on! (My friends used R.E.M. a few months ago for their wedding and the photos that Agnes took for them were also beautiful.) Truly zero complaints.

We hired the REM team for photography and DJ services at our wedding. They did a great job and were very professional. The photographer did a great job moving everything along in a timely manner - which was difficult with large family and group shots. The DJ did a great job of timing the use of many different songs during the ceremony and the dinner and dance hour. We highly recommend REM Video and Photography.

I love my pictures from R.E.M. The photojournalist style is just stunning, and the photographer took all the traditional photos we wanted too. Everyone at the wedding commented on how professional and efficient our photographer, Agnes, was. There was a fee for travelling to a western suburb, but the overall cost was still much lower than any other photographer in the area. The quality for the cost is an amazing value. I would recommend them to everyone.

We selected R.E.M. for our photography and videography services for our wedding. We had Agnes as our lead photographer and Armen as a second photographer. Our videographer was Robert. We were SO incredibly happy with all three of them and the service they provided on our wedding day! They all were professional but also very fun and easy to work with. They captured everything that we had asked them to and more! They had a lot of hopping around to do between the bridal parties (my husband and I didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony) and to different picture locations throughout the day. Some windy weather made us change photo locations at the last minute and everything was handled easily and calmly. Agnes is wonderful and has an eye for beautiful lighting. She grabbed our whole group and got us outside for some amazing sunset pictures at just the right time. Agnes also handled the chaos of our family pictures wonderfully and was so patient with everybody. Armen worked with the groom’s side a lot for pictures and I heard nothing but wonderful things about his work with them. Robert was fun and did a lot of neat shots for the wedding video. I can’t wait to see how everything turned out!! We are very happy with our experiences with everything and everybody at R.E.M., including Izabela and Robert Mazur, who did all of the work with our contracts, payments and all email correspondence leading up to the big day. Everybody at R.E.M. are truly kind and talented and very easy to work with. We highly recommend them!

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Robert and his company. They were perfect as can be, right from the first meeting. The one quality that I loved in him, specially was that he's never trying to sell you anything. Rather, he has his company's work speak for itself. And boy, do they shine? My wife and I had a special situation with our wedding, in that we performed and hence needed to cover 2 seperate, ethnic ceremonies and receptions in one day! We worked with 2 different photographers-Isabella Mazur and Megan Bearder (and her assistant, whose name we now forgot). They made us feel at ease and very comfortable. They collect all of the information beforehand and come fully prepared on the day of, which is very important. Not just that, photography being such a creative profession, their ideas and styles are fantastic. If you don't want to take my word dor it, browse their portfolio and meet with them. We've only seen a teaser of all the pictures to come but they look phenomenal! We cannot wait to get out entire album and relive our most special day all over again. I should additionally mention, both our photographers - Izabella and Megan was so accomodating of our schedules, on the day of. We were running late, but they kept the mood so light and didn't let us think or worry about it at all. In essence, this is as best as your money can buy, value wise and you'll not regret your choice, picking this company. In fact, you'll end up patting your back, after the event. Will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing photographer/videographer to cover their wedding day.

Robert, Maria, and Gabriel along with the rest of the staff of R.E.M. Photography and Videography were amazing! We were debating if we needed a videographer for our wedding, and after seeing the highlights video Sorin and Robert at REM made for us, I am so glad we did!!! They were great to work with, and Sorin was so funny and comforting at our wedding, ooh-ing and aaaah-ing after every shot. Communication leading up to and after the wedding was a breeze, and pricing is really fair. But best of all, our video is gorgeous, not tacky, perfectly edited with the music, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. Would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone!

REM is absolutely amazing. Robert made us feel so comfortable asking every question at our consultation and Sorin was our videographer the day of the wedding and he was great too. I wanted one minor adjustment made to the highlights when I reviewed it which Robert made immediately. I've watched my video a million times and I cry every single time. The quality level of the video is incomparable and the way it is edited together with music and speeches and special moments is incredible. My sister already hired REM for her wedding after seeing my experience. I think my wedding video is by far the best I have ever seen and I would advise to hire REM immediately!

I wasn't planning on having my wedding video taped, but I am so glad I did. And, I am so glad I chose R.E.M. to capture my wedding day. Robert was easy to work with from our initial meeting, to all my crazed wedding emails, to the big day. He's great at his job. He makes you feel comfortable even though he's following you around with a camera. Sometimes, you don't even know he's there. There are so many moments on our video that I didn't see that day, but Robert was there to capture it all so we could remember it forever. The highlight video is my favorite. It shows the most exciting parts of the day in just about 8 minutes with music and clips of speeches. It's the perfect way to reminisce when you don't have some 45 minutes to watch the full video. He uses artistic effects at just the right times to emphasize certain moments. It's so much more than a video, it's like artwork that you can watch over and over again. I definitely recommend R.E.M. for video. Robert got along so well with the whole wedding party and the photographer even though he was from another company. Very professional, incredibly nice, and artistically brilliant. I couldn't be more happy with our video.

Exceptional service, exquisite photos (and video)! Living in LA, my wife and I had multiple FaceTime meetings with Robert who outlined the entire process from rehearsal dinner to reception. Not only did he offer great insight into many details we hadn't considered (ie. staggering photography times for bride and groom preparation since guys require/desire far less photos), he helped us choose the best (not most expensive) package for our bridal party needs. In addition to the wedding, Robert filmed our entire rehearsal dinner from welcome to speeches. He even stayed an extra hour and a half (free of charge) because he wanted to capture all the speeches for us to remember. We were touched to say the least. And then the wedding... I can't say enough about his lead photographer, Izabela. Although she was with my wife for a majority of the day up until the ceremony, once she merged with the groomsman, she displayed the perfect balance of patience (organizing an increasingly rowdy crowd), creativity (suggesting alternative photo ops - the rain was unexpected) and leadership (fast, efficient and somehow always smiling). And then there are the photographs. Over 1000 and if we only had a fraction of them we'd be over the moon. It's truly an embarrassment of riches. One we couldn't be happier with. As a TV producer, I work with professional editors daily, so the idea of a wedding video was something that concerned me since I'm hypercritical of everything I watch. And this was our special day. When we received the video (it takes a couple months from ceremony to edit to your doorstep) I'll be honest, I was skeptical to say the least. Having watched it over a dozen times now, i can say this-- not only does Robert have an incredibly keen eye for tender moments as well as the important players (family members and key people in our lives were focused on), he has the ability to make a wedding with 150 guest feel totally intimate at moments and royally grand at others. He asked for our musical choices (Sam Cooke's "Bring it Home to me" was our first dance song) and used them perfectly. Picture, audio, editing transitions - everything is top notch - as good as anything I've been a part of in Hollywood, if not better (though I am biased towards the subjects involved) Overall, top notch service and quality across the board.

R.E.M. was absolutely amazing. I worked with Robert himself and I was floored with his professionalism and artistic vision. My wedding video was perfect. I have showed my video to many friends and family and the comment we've heard was that it was as if a Hollywood movie director filmed our wedding. I watch it over and over!! I put my focus toward finding a great videographer for my wedding day and as soon as I saw samples of REM's videos, I was sold. I wanted the simplicity of having photo and video via the same vendor so I booked REM for both. Not only did the video fulfill my high expectations, but I was COMPLETELY blown away by the photos we received. The photography captured the city of Chicago so well, which was a large part of our focus for the wedding. They not only captured essential moments perfects, but also the candid ones that end meaning more. The video really told our story well. I am so grateful to have it so I can relive the day again through it. The videographers were perfectly behind the scenes through out the day, never intrusive. The service blew me away as well. From day one, they were eager and always willing to answer my many questions. After the wedding was complete, I was so appreciative of the willingness from Robert on notes/edits to the short video. I can't thank him enough because in the end it was simply perfect! I HIGHLY recommend using REM for your wedding. They were priced reasonably. Much more digestible than those big/ads everywhere photographers located directly in the city and potentially overpriced. REM is the complete package you're looking for! You won't regret it.

We used R.E.M. video for our wedding in June (knowing it would already be a great idea, since my sister also used them for her wedding last year). Robert truly exceeded our expectations, and we could not have picked a better photographer. He captured every moment we would want captured, and THEN some. We had a big wedding party, and a big wedding, and Robert was nothing but patient, helpful, fun, and professional! My groom and I have watched our footage over and over again, and it will never get old to us. It is creative, high quality, artistic, and captures every great memory we had from our big day. REM never fail to surprise me with their talented work. I also had hired REM for videography. I was also very pleased with my video. Couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend to anyone!

R.E.M. did our videography for our wedding last May. We were so pleased with their services - they are easy to work with and were so professional. REM captured so many memories that my husband and I were unable to see for ourselves on our wedding day. Watching the video for the first time made us both so happy and we continue to watch it! Total AWESOMENESS! My fiancé and I had been struggling with finding a photographer and videographer with photojournalism experience. Living in Denver and planning a wedding in the Chicago suburbs added quite the level of complexity. Luckily, R.E.M. Video and Photography, who came to us by way of another vendor’s recommendations, proved to be reachable and excellent communicators. We could have not asked for a better photographer (John) and videographer (Robert). Not only are they genuine, honest and reliable people, but they truly love their work and bring a high level of positive energy to all their encounters. The vibrancy of their pictures and video come magically alive, transporting you back in time, warming your heart and touching your very soul. Their ability to capture the subtle nuances of the ceremony and reception while being unobtrusive was more than we had we had envisioned. Two weeks after our wedding, we received our video, I watched it over 35 times in one day! It is truly a work of art. We could hardly contain ourselves with excitement waiting for our pictures to arrive. Izabela is a photographic master. We could not be happier with our R.E.M. We used REM's services for both videography and photography for our June 2014 wedding and were thrilled with our team. We originally went with REM because of their expertise in both video and photo as well as their reasonable packages for the services offered. Robert was great to work with from our first meeting through the entire process. His quick responses to calls and emails was always appreciated (especially by me, a Type-A planner). On our wedding day, our main photographer (Maria) and videographer (Garland) were personable and fun while still being efficient (wrangling 20+ people for a family photo is not easy!). I know they captured the overall fun feeling of our wedding. We received many compliments on the photography and videography team and how they were able to capture shots without being obtrusive- a huge thing for us! We also used REM for our engagement photos and I can say we were THRILLED with the amazing work from Maria. We expect the same quality for our wedding photos when we receive them soon! :)
