We had our wedding, both ceremony and reception, at Rembrandt Yard. We loved the convenience of having it downtown, and it is a beautiful space. We really liked the art gallery aspect - with all of the art on the walls already, it feels like it... doesn't need a ton of decorating. We felt like it was a good compromise between an all-inclusive venue (where you don't have as many choices) and a totally-DIY venue. You have a lot of freedom in terms of food, decor, etc., but with access to their staff, who are real experts because they coordinate weddings all the time. I really can't say enough good things about the staff. They were so friendly and so helpful. I felt like they were really committed to helping our wedding run smoothly and they did great job. They coordinated with the vendors, they made sure we had gotten everything all lined up and squared away, and they cheerfully and quickly responded to our many (many!) questions. The furniture package is a great value compared to outside rentals, and it's comfortable and nice-looking.
We expected our wedding to be about 90 guests but it ended up at 110. I will say, that didn't feel cramped exactly, but it did feel pretty full. I am glad that we rented both floors - they needed to move all the chairs around after the ceremony to set up for dinner, and I think that would've been impossible if everyone had still been milling around upstairs for cocktail hour! Some of our guests also used the downstairs as a quiet space once our banded started playing upstairs.
I only have one real con, which is that their sound system isn't great. Yes, they do have an A/V system, but it doesn't get very loud. Our dinner hour playlist couldn't be heard over the sound of 100 guests eating dinner. Oh, well. It wasn't a real problem for us, but, bottom line - if you were thinking of just playing music off an iPod for entertainment/dancing, you probably need to bring in louder speakers.
Also, a little word of warning... we had an awesome band playing, visible and audible from the street, and we got a few wedding crashers! I believe the venue staff bounced a few and friends of ours bounced a couple others. It wasn't a problem but it might be something to be aware of!
Overall, we're very satisfied with Rembrandt Yard. Beautiful space, great staff, great location.
