Thank you so much to John, the co owner of Renaissance Bridal. He was so professional and fun. I had two not so great experiences trying on wedding gowns prior and with my input he found me the perfect dress on the first try. Not only was he attentive but he truly listened to what I wanted and hit the nail right on the head. I cannot wait to go back for my fitting once the dress arrives thank you a million times John.

Renaissance was perfect from the appointment with Jon with no interruptions to picking up the gown. I am truly so excited to wear the dress for my wedding day. Thank you!

Words cannot even express my experience at this place! Jon was AMAZING! I went in, and he started the consult with a conversation about me. What I like as wedding options etc. then he brought this dress out that looked like it was MADE for me! I was so impressed with his professionalism and personalism. I ended up getting the second dress he picked out. Just speechless on the experience. Highly recommend to any bride that does not like to go shopping or is nervous or dreading the dress shopping experience.

Whereas I did find the dress here I did not end up buying from Renaissance.. the lady never returned my calls or emails. I was very disappointed. But I ended up stumbling across the same dress and bought it at Silk & Lace in Annville!

I had an amazing experience at Renaissance Bridals when shopping for my wedding dress. Jon spent the time with me prior to putting me in dresses, and was able to get *my* dress on the very first one. He then took the time to put me in other dresses to determine what I liked and didn't like to ensure that I felt confident that I knew which one was mine. He made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. It was so wonderful to work with him and find my dress!

If you’re looking for your dream dress and haven’t found it yet, you need to check out this bridal shop! And as others had mentioned, Jon was amazing and picked out the most amazing and beautiful dresses for me to try on. He really listens to you and I felt like I was on an episode of “Save yes to the dress!” I will mention that this shop is located in the city in Downtown York but they do have a parking lot behind the shop. I had no issues ordering my dress and it came in perfectly! They do not do alterations but do recommend seamstresses.

I have been trying to find the words to express how elated I am that I had the pleasure of finding my dress at Renaissance Bridals. It is hard to explain the "feeling" that I had my entire appointment. Jon, one of the owners, is a true artist at work. He made me feel confident, comfortable, and we had a blast trying on dresses! The first choice picked by him was the "one." We still tried on other dresses, but when you know, you know! He chose a dress that I would have never picked off the rack myself and customized it while I was there making it the exact dream dress for me. He suggested a gorgeous veil and hair piece, which tied everything together and brought my mother and I to tears. Each bridal appointment you have the entire building to YOURSELF. no pressure, no other eyes, just you and your loved ones if you bring them. Jon, thank you for going above and beyond. You truly created the most special moment for my mother and I, and yes I am crying tears of joy typing this review!!

He creates an environment where you can just have fun and relax. He even went over our appointment time because we were having so much fun trying on dresses. After visiting several different boutiques and trying on over a dozen of beautiful bridal gowns but still not finding the one I was exhausted. The day I visited Renaissance Bridal and met with the wonderful owner, Jon Smith, I had actually planned to visit two more shops right after considering how picky I am, apparently. It took Jon one small conversation with me to figure out what exactly I was looking for. The very first dress I tried on I fell in love! I immediately cancelled with the other shops so they can have time with other searching brides because I found the ONE! I highly recommend Renaissance Bridal for anyone looking for beautiful, high quality bridal or prom dresses. The staff is kind, professional and clearly very experienced. I’m still in shock how easy it was to say, Yes! To the dress! Jon, the owner, was fantastic. We discussed what I liked and the first one picked ended up being the one. I’m also a plus sized bride, but never felt judged or “fat shamed”. That’s what I was worried about. I would say it was reasonably priced, too.

I was so nervous to go look and try on wedding gowns. From the moment I walked in the door Beth was wonderful. She listened to my style, price range, and areas of concern. Not only did she help me find the perfect dress but she also helped boost my confidence. As each dress progresses into more of what I was looking for, her offered her kind words and expertise. I loved everything about Renaissance! Jon was so helpful. He picked out the best dresses and really listened to the things I liked and disliked about each dress. I can’t say enough great things. If you are going dress shopping this needs to be your first stop!

Overall, a pleasant experience! Scheduling back and forth through email wasn't the most efficient but I enjoyed my time at the salon. While I wish I was able to look at and select the dresses myself, Beth did a nice job picking dresses that reflected what I said I was looking for. And ultimately I found my dress, which was the 3rd or 4th one I tried on. Also would prefer there was a seamstress onsite so I didn't have to take it elsewhere but they do provide recommendations. Jon was extremely helpful throughout the process of finding a dress. He took the time to listen to what aspects I liked and disliked in dresses I was trying on or that I had tried on at other stores. Every option that he pulled for me was right on the mark, but one in particular I could not stop thinking about. I went in super nervous and John was absolutely amazing. He made sure that I felt comfortable and that it was a good experience. John is AMAZING!!!!! Got my dress in 10 minutes!!!! I got engaged end of May and we want to get married in November of this year - I knew this would be difficult to pull off and was nervous that it might not even be possible. I emailed the team to make an appointment and they were very timely and flexible. After not having luck at the previous bridal shop I was a little discouraged, but as soon as as I stepped into Renaissance I had a good feeling - it was very clean, professional, and personal. John took one look at my Pinterest board and began pulling dresses. I may not have been able to explain what I wanted in words but he knew exactly what I envisioned. I swear I was in the shop maybe 10 minutes and I had on the dress of my dreams! I knew it was the one the second I had it on! I wish I would have went to John at Renaissance first because he truly has a knack for what he does. John made me feel absolutely stunning in my dress and I cannot wait for my wedding. **John has also helped my sister and cousin find their wedding dresses as well so I should known that’s where I would end up.

After an excellent experience at Renaissance a few years ago when shopping for my sister’s wedding dress, I knew I’d be returning to find my own! I had an overwhelming experience at another bridal salon the day before and felt discouraged, but was at ease within minutes of walking into Renaissance. The atmosphere and Jon’s method are so comfortable and low pressure, we had a wonderful time chatting and laughing through the entire appointment. Jon got to know me, asked a lot of questions about my preferences, venue, etc and then got to work selecting options for me. The very first dress he pulled ended up being the one (we of course tried our hardest to top it, but couldn’t!). He is extremely knowledgeable, definitely knows his inventory, and has a great strategy to narrowing down exactly what your style/what will best suit your body type. I had a great experience at Renaissance! I went to other bridal stores and none of them compared. It was really nice having a private dress shopping experience in their huge room with big mirrors! Jon knew exactly what I was looking for and made our time here so much fun. I couldn't stop thinking about the one dress and went back to purchase within a few weeks!

I had been to two other bridal boutiques before Renaissance Bridals and neither of them compared to my experience at Renaissance Bridals. Jon really listened to what I was after and helped me find my PERFECT dress! I gave him my description and he found dresses that were to my specifications and looked good on my body type. I actually bought the first one he pulled for me! Jon hand picks the dresses for the store which makes you feel like your dress is one of a kind.

I am a Mechanicsburg native and somehow have NEVER been here before for any of my ballgown and dress occasions! I can say that is a mistake I won't be making again! I have gotten all of my homecoming and prom dresses here and knew I had to go there for my wedding dress. Jon is the best. He listened to what I wanted and pulled amazing dresses. He put me in a few different styles so I could figure out what I did and didn’t like. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My search for the perfect wedding dress begin and ended at Renaissance Bridals. I worked with Jon and he made it an incredible experience! He made me feel so comfortable and confident in every dress I put on. He provided me with options with what I came in thinking I’d like to see myself in as well as some options I would have never picked myself. Had he not done this I probably would have never found my dress! The sample fit perfectly so he was kind enough to let me leave with the sample, which was so helpful considering I’m on a shorter time line. If you’re looking for a dress go to Renaissance, you won’t regret it!

I wasn’t sure walking into Renaissance about how dress shopping normally went and didn’t expect to find anything at my first appointment. Boy, was I wrong, though! The owner, John, was extremely welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. I took my mom and future mother-in-law and we talked with John about styles and my wedding vision. He started with the type of dress I was sure I’d want and I loved it. The second dress was something I wouldn’t have picked for myself, but as soon as I tried it on, I was in love. John had me try a few others afterwards, but even though they were all beautiful, they just cemented my decision on the second dress I had tried on. I put that back on and John styled it with headpieces and veils and let me take my time admiring it. I actually got to walk out of the store with the dress, as I bought the sample (which is discounted by the way!) I also bought the headpiece he had me try on because I fell so in love with it! Throughout the entire process, I felt like the center of attention and did not once feel rushed or forgotten. The changes since Covid are actually super nice, as you’re the only one there so all attention and effort is on you and finding your perfect dress. I wanted to take my entire bridal party, but the limit of only 2 people (plus myself) made it super nice and intimate. John was great at making you feel amazing and was not pushy about buying anything. The entire atmosphere was so comfortable and such a great experience to enjoy with my mom and MIL. I’m so happy I decided to find my dress at Renaissance and would recommend them to anyone! They were super flexible with scheduling my appointment and rescheduling when something came up. I have only good things to say about Renaissance Bridal and John!

We had a beautiful experience at renaissance bridal! The historic building lined with gorgeous gowns creates the perfect ambience. John really took time to listen to what I wanted and helped pick dresses that worked with my body style and attitude. We had a private room with no one but my party! Renaissance was the first place I looked for my wedding dress and I didn't need to go anywhere else. John provides exclusive service to each bride during their appointment and I have never felt more beautiful than I did while trying wedding gowns on. John listened to what I had in mind for my dress but also gave me a variety of styles to try that flattered me; he wasn't pushy or demanding, but gave his professional opinion and genuinely wanted me to feel and look beautiful. This was the second place I went to try on wedding dresses, and I had a great experience at Rennaissance Bridals! Due to COVID (my appt was in Jan 2021) I could only bring two guests, but I still had a great time trying on dresses. I believe I worked with Jon, and he was very helpful in finding what I wanted and narrowing down from my top choices. The dress I chose ended up being a sample that I could take home the same day! I'm so glad I went to Renaissance!

I said Yes to the dress! Renaissance had so many options with a variety of different styles. I, personally, was looking for a dazzling look that would leave you blinded. the dresses were beautiful and the prices were very affordable. I purchased my prom dress from Renaissance 10 years ago and just thought maybe I should check it out for my wedding dress. I 3 appointments in one weekend within the area and Renaissance was the first stop. First, my consultant Jon was absolutely amazing. We were the only ones in the shop making it such a unique, special experience with my mother and future mother in law. Jon first pulled dresses that I thought I wanted and then pulled other dresses based on my reactions and feedback. He helped me find and customize my dream dress. After I found it, we still went to the other shops, but went back to Renaissance that next day and got my dream dress. I am very picky, but found my dress on the first day. I highly recommend Renaissance!

My bridal experience at Renaissance was nothing short of perfection! Upon entering my room (which was adorned with rustic architectural details and with all sorts of bridal accessories), I was met by my consultant John. He was attentive, detail-oriented, and an incredible listener. Amidst a selection of carefully curated dresses (which he hand-selected from the latest runway shows himself), he found me the most gorgeous Lazaro dress. The beautiful ethereal beading was unique, and unlike anything I had every tried on before. Did I mention that it was only the fifth dress I had ever tried on? Overall, I must say that the level of expertise, attentiveness, and care that from everyone working there made me feel so comfortable. It was clearly evident across all areas of their bridal boutique that every bride's experience was superb. Moreover, it was the easiest, most comfortable, and productive dress shopping experience of my life! Dress shopping here was better than I ever imagined it would be! We were one on one with John for our appointment. I purchased my prom dress from this shop, and my cousin purchased her wedding dress from this shop. This was the only bridal salon that I REALLY wanted to try dresses on at, and I live over an hour away. I called to make an appointment and was told I'm only allowed two guests and got some attitude. My mother called after to see if we could work something out, and Beth yelled at her, "excuse me, we are in a pandemic!!". I understand rules to keep people safe, but I have not talked to another bridal shop with this low of a guest count. I will be taking my business and four guests elsewhere. I will never recommend this place again after how my mother and I were treated over the phone by Beth! Brides already have to deal with enough stress, and these tears were not necessary. Beth is also one of the owners, so don't go here if you want to be treated poorly!!!

I loved shopping at Renaissance! I have gone there for prom and homecoming dresses in high school. I had my appointment near the end of the pandemic so it was just John Smith working. He was PHENOMENAL! So professional. He knows what he’s doing. Other stores I’ve gone to just pick 5-6 dresses and make it seem like that’s all there is for you to choose from. John had a system, made sure we understood how the appointment was going to be run and he made it fun! I also loved that he put me in dresses I never thought to try, even if I knew I didn’t like them, just to make sure we covered all the bases. I highly recommend Renaissance Bridal.

The part of wedding planning I was least looking forward to was dress shopping, but the first dress I tried on was the dress I bought! It had everything I wanted and Beth was so helpful! The designer forgot to include some of the faux crystal buttons on the back of the dress and Beth helped me get the buttons from the designers and make sure everything worked out okay with that. Highly recommend!

I could not say enough good things about my experience with John at Renaissance Bridal. I have to say I was nervous going in and had not tried on any dresses previously. This was my first shop and I did not expect to find my dress. Due to COVID restrictions John (the owner) is running private appointments only in his beautiful, historic shop, with a limit of 2 guests. I was hesitant at first, but these restrictions were a blessing in disguise. The shop was quiet, cool and calm with only me, my mother and sister and John there. There were not distractions. John was amazing - he listened to what I wanted, then told me how he'd run the appointment. The 90 minutes flew by and he clearly has a well trained eye because I ended up purchasing the first dress he put me in! The appointment was fun, the shop had great ambiance, and John was kind, professional, honest and funny! He helped me confirm what I did not want in a dress and that helped me know that what I chose was the right one. I cannot wait to put my dress on again and I will recommend Renaissance Bridal to anyone in the area looking to buy a wedding (or prom!) dress.

I just bought my dress from here and let me tell you, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Jon is AMAZING. Every dress he brought for me to try I liked so much and of course I found the one I LOVED and had to have. Working with him was so laid back, he paid close attention to everything I liked and didn't like. He also could just tell from how you act if you like it or not. I wouldn't have wanted to go to any other place. He even gave great recommendations as to where we could go for brunch in the area which by the way.. was AMAZING as well. Jon was AMAZING. I had been to a few other appointments where the consultants were nice but really didn’t feel like they knew exactly what I was looking for. Jon immediately greeted us and sat down with us for about 10 minutes to ask about what my interests were, and I felt like he actually cared! He has SO much experience literally every dress he brought out was gorgeous and exactly what I had described. And when he brought out the one, he looked at me and said this is going to be your wedding dress, and he did not disappoint. I’m so glad I went here, it was the best experience and I said yes to the most beautiful dress!

After going to a couple salons in Lancaster, it was very clear to me that he knew what he was talking about and looking out for my best interest. The salon is closed to private appointments only, so he spends the whole time making you feel as beautiful as possible. He really took the time listen to what I wanted and went out of his to make it all possible. 100% recommend. I said yes!

I had an amazing experience with Jon! I went to at least 3 other bridal salons in the area and narrowed in on this one due to them having so many options for what I was looking for! I was in between a few dresses and Jon helped me decide with confidence when he finally asked me which dress I felt more "me" in. Looking back at the photos I am so glad he helped me with this decision! I picked up my dress a week ago, it only took 4 months to ship even in middle of pandemic, and it's absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to wear it.

Truthfully, at first, I was slightly turned off because the woman who let us in was not very welcoming. However, as soon as the consultant, Jon, introduced himself, I felt immediately more comfortable. Jon was welcoming and made me feel truly special. He asked me what I like, but also recommended I try on other dresses that I would not have chosen myself to help me see some more options. Jon joined right in with the Grinch jokes that my sister and I were reminiscing about, as we came to find out we all share a love of the movie. He helped me to find my perfect dress and I could not be more excited for my wedding day. Jon created a warm, comfortable, and fun environment for such a special day.

My experience at Renaissance was nothing short of fabulous. I loved every minute I was there and felt amazing in every dress I tried on. After a short phone consultation the night before, Jon did a fantastic job of pulling the style of dress I had envisioned. I was completely blown away by the dresses and the experience in general.

Renaissance was the perfect place to find my wedding dress!! Jon was wonderful and helpful with this process. It was my 3rd bridal salon and I still was unsure about what I wanted and he pulled amazing options and knew what I wanted when I wasn’t sure! We were the only ones in the store during my consultation which made it feel intimate and like all the focus was on me! I highly recommend here for your bridal gown needs!!

I bought my dress at Renaissance a few weeks ago, and oh what a beautiful experience it was. Being newly engaged is so exciting and one of the most anticipated and exciting parts of this process is the dress shopping!! Even though this is exciting it can also be a little anxiety provoking, especially for me who has always dreaded trying on clothes/feeling self conscious etc. My experience at Renaissance was nothing short of magical. This was because of Jon, one of the owners, who created a safe, comfortable place for me, my mom and sister to have the best experience possible. Jon is charming, intuitive, authentic, and so brilliantly gifted at what he does. He did not sell me a dress, he created an experience. He helped guide and talk me through each dress helping me identify what I did and didn’t like about each piece until we found the one that was meant for me. I really loved my experience at Renaissance. It’s a good size shop, intimate with a good selection. I had been to several appts before this one, but Beth did such a good job making every dress fit perfectly, clipping and pinning each one so I could really know the dress. She has great knowledge of how dresses are made and modifications that can be made. I found my dress there and can’t wait to wear it!

This was the first shop I went to to look for a dress. I had to look no further! They were patient, helpful, and reassured me I was in control! They even pointed out pros and cons to each style I tried on!

First off, Jon is the best. And I mean that in the most sincere way. As soon as I walked in the door, I immediately felt like he really wanted to make my appointment THE MOST personal, joyful and beautiful experience. But with being in such a stressful time and not being able to run business as usual due to the virus, he somehow turned that into an incredibly positive experience! He was able to sit down with me one-on-one to really understand what I was looking for so he could help me find exactly what I had envisioned (and more). The fact that we got to be the only bridal party there at the time made it such a relaxing and easy-going experience! It also felt really safe, because they are very careful with masks adorned, and keeping everything very sanitary. You can absolutely tell that they care deeply for their customers. The most impressive part, is that I could tell he really cared and was giving me his undivided attention, because the very first dress he pulled was the dress that made me say YES! I'm one of the most indecisive people. He wasn't pushy, and made sure that I was coming to my own conclusions about what I liked with each dress. He asked me questions per our consultation and let me come to my own conclusions about what I wanted. I had struggled at an appointment at another bridal salon for not knowing what I wanted, but here, he helped to make it the most enjoyable and easy experience. Lastly, the building is absolutely gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would recommend Renaissance Bridal to anyone looking for a dress. I will never forget my experience! I got 3 of my highschool prom dresses here and I just said yes to my wedding dress here today! Even with the pandemic, they still made an effort to my brides find the wedding dress they have been dreaming of. They are by appointment only, but I am really happy with how Jon handled everything. I really did like it a lot better than having so many people there. We were the only ones in the store, Jon’s undivided attention and I felt even more special! The best dress shopping experience. Having a private appointment made the experience super intimate and safe feeling during this crazy time! I felt like Jon listened to what styles I liked and was able to find the perfect dress for me! I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Renaissance Bridals was absolutely amazing! I am not typically a fan of trying on clothes but the staff here really made me feel beautiful in any dress I tried on. I went into my appointment not really knowing what I wanted in my dress but John helped me pick out my perfect dress! He really listened to what I had to say about every dress that he put me in and went off of that to bring me a new dress to try. I would definitely recommend Renaissance Bridals to anyone!
