I cannot say enough good things about my experience picking my wedding dress at Renaissance. It was personable, detailed, and all about the bride! Every thought of what I wanted and did not want was listened to and taken into consideration with each dress that was tried on. The staff was so patient, knowledgeable, encouraging and helpful. When you make an appt here you are the only bride there - you have all the attention and have a very intimate experience. It was every brides dream and I cannot express how great my experience was!

Beth truly listened to what it was that I was looking for, taking what I loved and what I didn't to pull some of the most beautiful dresses and find the one. It was ultimately one of the first ones pulled and with just a few custom adds, including a beautiful back piece she had, Beth helped to make the dress uniquely mine and spot on with my inspiration piece. First and only stop for wedding dress shopping, and a great experience.

Jon was so knowledgeable about the dresses in his store and the first one that I tried on was my yes dress! He knew my sizing without me having to guess. I also did not have to pull any dresses myself. I loved the variety that he provided before having me re-try on the very first dress to know it was the one. He maintained a very welcoming and easy-going atmosphere that was appreciated by me and my guests. I feel so blessed to have been in his space. I actually made this as my very first appointment. I decided later to fit on in the day before, but wish that I would have just stuck with this one appointment! This shop was amazing and SO helpful and accommodating to someone that got engaged and will be getting married within less than 1 year.

I went to my bridal appointment with zero expectations, having never tried on wedding dresses before, I had no idea what I wanted, and most of all what would look best on my body type. Upon arrival we met Jon, he sat down with me and went over everything then pulled dresses one at a time. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that the second dress I put on would be the one! As many other brides have said before, Jon found my dream dress without me even knowing what it was. Its like the dress was made for me, hits every spot and curve perfectly... and the best part, INSANELY IN BUDGET. To top it all of, during our consult I had told Jon how we were having a NYE wedding and I potentially wanted a reception "show stopper" dress with pizzazz to fit the vibe etc., Jon styled my dress with the perfect piece to add a little something. He made all of my dress and reception dreams come true! Karen assisted me when I picked up my dress and she was just as amazing! She even let my two flower girls (5 and 2) go look at the colorful prom dresses, they were in heaven, so gracious and kind of her! I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience here, they made me feel effortlessly beautiful without any pressure, what more could a bride want.

I had a wonderful experience with Jon the owner. He was gracious. He was a great listener and knew exactly what I was looking for. It was wonderful having one on one with nice music in the background and all the attention put just on you with no distractions. I felt like a A princess shopping and trying on dresses. Jon is a great listener and super great artist! He knew what he was doing and he made beautiful artwork for my wedding dress,That is just mine and nobody else’s. Renaissance was the first and last bridal shop I went to! Jon instantly pulled dresses that were perfect for what I wanted. I appreciated his honest feedback and sense of style. The first and last dress I tried on I was torn between, I opted for the last. It needed alterations and he recommended a fantastic seamstress. From start to finish my experience with Jon was excellent. My dress was beautiful and perfect for my micro wedding in Central Park.

Thank you so much to John, the co owner of Renaissance Bridal. He was so professional and fun. I had two not so great experiences trying on wedding gowns prior and with my input he found me the perfect dress on the first try. Not only was he attentive but he truly listened to what I wanted and hit the nail right on the head. I cannot wait to go back for my fitting once the dress arrives thank you a million times John.

Words cannot even express my experience at this place! Jon was AMAZING! I went in, and he started the consult with a conversation about me. What I like as wedding options etc. then he brought this dress out that looked like it was MADE for me! I was so impressed with his professionalism and personalism. I ended up getting the second dress he picked out. Just speechless on the experience. Highly recommend to any bride that does not like to go shopping or is nervous or dreading the dress shopping experience.

Whereas I did find the dress here I did not end up buying from Renaissance.. the lady never returned my calls or emails. I was very disappointed. But I ended up stumbling across the same dress and bought it at Silk & Lace in Annville!

I had an amazing experience at Renaissance Bridals when shopping for my wedding dress. Jon spent the time with me prior to putting me in dresses, and was able to get *my* dress on the very first one. He then took the time to put me in other dresses to determine what I liked and didn't like to ensure that I felt confident that I knew which one was mine. He made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. It was so wonderful to work with him and find my dress!

If you’re looking for your dream dress and haven’t found it yet, you need to check out this bridal shop! And as others had mentioned, Jon was amazing and picked out the most amazing and beautiful dresses for me to try on. He really listens to you and I felt like I was on an episode of “Save yes to the dress!” I will mention that this shop is located in the city in Downtown York but they do have a parking lot behind the shop. I had no issues ordering my dress and it came in perfectly! They do not do alterations but do recommend seamstresses.

I had an amazing experience at this shop. The man that assisted me in finding my dress was extremely helpful and found my dream dress. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

I have been trying to find the words to express how elated I am that I had the pleasure of finding my dress at Renaissance Bridals. It is hard to explain the "feeling" that I had my entire appointment. Jon, one of the owners, is a true artist at work. He made me feel confident, comfortable, and we had a blast trying on dresses! The first choice picked by him was the "one." We still tried on other dresses, but when you know, you know! He chose a dress that I would have never picked off the rack myself and customized it while I was there making it the exact dream dress for me. He suggested a gorgeous veil and hair piece, which tied everything together and brought my mother and I to tears. Each bridal appointment you have the entire building to YOURSELF. no pressure, no other eyes, just you and your loved ones if you bring them. Jon, thank you for going above and beyond. You truly created the most special moment for my mother and I, and yes I am crying tears of joy typing this review!!

Jon was absolutely AMAZING! He listened to what made me feel like a bride and was extremely knowledgeable about every dress and body type. He creates an environment where you can just have fun and relax. He even went over our appointment time because we were having so much fun trying on dresses. After visiting several different boutiques and trying on over a dozen of beautiful bridal gowns but still not finding the one I was exhausted. The day I visited Renaissance Bridal and met with the wonderful owner, Jon Smith, I had actually planned to visit two more shops right after considering how picky I am, apparently. It took Jon one small conversation with me to figure out what exactly I was looking for. The very first dress I tried on I fell in love! I immediately cancelled with the other shops so they can have time with other searching brides because I found the ONE! I’m still in shock how easy it was to say, Yes! To the dress! Jon, the owner, was fantastic. We discussed what I liked and the first one picked ended up being the one. I’m also a plus sized bride, but never felt judged or “fat shamed”. That’s what I was worried about. I would say it was reasonably priced, too.

I was so nervous to go look and try on wedding gowns. From the moment I walked in the door Beth was wonderful. She listened to my style, price range, and areas of concern. Not only did she help me find the perfect dress but she also helped boost my confidence. As each dress progresses into more of what I was looking for, her offered her kind words and expertise. I loved everything about Renaissance! Jon was so helpful. He picked out the best dresses and really listened to the things I liked and disliked about each dress. I can’t say enough great things. If you are going dress shopping this needs to be your first stop!

Overall, a pleasant experience! Scheduling back and forth through email wasn't the most efficient but I enjoyed my time at the salon. While I wish I was able to look at and select the dresses myself, Beth did a nice job picking dresses that reflected what I said I was looking for. And ultimately I found my dress, which was the 3rd or 4th one I tried on. Also would prefer there was a seamstress onsite so I didn't have to take it elsewhere but they do provide recommendations. Thank you for a great dress shopping experience!

Jon was extremely helpful throughout the process of finding a dress. He took the time to listen to what aspects I liked and disliked in dresses I was trying on or that I had tried on at other stores. Every option that he pulled for me was right on the mark, but one in particular I could not stop thinking about. As someone who had gone to quite a few stores with no luck, it was exciting to finally find THE DRESS! I would have never found it without Jon's expertise! Thank you Renaissance Bridal!

I went in super nervous and John was absolutely amazing. He made sure that I felt comfortable and that it was a good experience. He helped me find my dream dress and I even ended up leaving there with the dress that day! The whole building and space make the experience even better. This is the absolute best place to get your dress. Don't go anywhere else!

John is AMAZING!!!!! Got my dress in 10 minutes!!!! I got engaged end of May and we want to get married in November of this year - I knew this would be difficult to pull off and was nervous that it might not even be possible. I emailed the team to make an appointment and they were very timely and flexible. After not having luck at the previous bridal shop I was a little discouraged, but as soon as as I stepped into Renaissance I had a good feeling - it was very clean, professional, and personal. John took one look at my Pinterest board and began pulling dresses. I may not have been able to explain what I wanted in words but he knew exactly what I envisioned. I swear I was in the shop maybe 10 minutes and I had on the dress of my dreams! I knew it was the one the second I had it on! I wish I would have went to John at Renaissance first because he truly has a knack for what he does. John made me feel absolutely stunning in my dress and I cannot wait for my wedding. **John has also helped my sister and cousin find their wedding dresses as well so I should known that’s where I would end up.

After an excellent experience at Renaissance a few years ago when shopping for my sister’s wedding dress, I knew I’d be returning to find my own! I had an overwhelming experience at another bridal salon the day before and felt discouraged, but was at ease within minutes of walking into Renaissance. The atmosphere and Jon’s method are so comfortable and low pressure, we had a wonderful time chatting and laughing through the entire appointment. Jon got to know me, asked a lot of questions about my preferences, venue, etc and then got to work selecting options for me. The very first dress he pulled ended up being the one (we of course tried our hardest to top it, but couldn’t!). He is extremely knowledgeable, definitely knows his inventory, and has a great strategy to narrowing down exactly what your style/what will best suit your body type. I will recommend Renaissance over and over and over. Thank you Jon!!!

I had a great experience at Renaissance! I went to other bridal stores and none of them compared. It was really nice having a private dress shopping experience in their huge room with big mirrors! Jon knew exactly what I was looking for and made our time here so much fun. I couldn't stop thinking about the one dress and went back to purchase within a few weeks!

I had been to two other bridal boutiques before Renaissance Bridals and neither of them compared to my experience at Renaissance Bridals. Jon really listened to what I was after and helped me find my PERFECT dress! I gave him my description and he found dresses that were to my specifications and looked good on my body type. I actually bought the first one he pulled for me! Jon hand picks the dresses for the store which makes you feel like your dress is one of a kind.

I am a Mechanicsburg native and somehow have NEVER been here before for any of my ballgown and dress occasions! I can say that is a mistake I won't be making again! After trying on a ton more, I realized that the first dress he hand picked for me was everything I wanted and more. I have gotten all of my homecoming and prom dresses here and knew I had to go there for my wedding dress. Jon is the best. He listened to what I wanted and pulled amazing dresses. He put me in a few different styles so I could figure out what I did and didn’t like. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My search for the perfect wedding dress begin and ended at Renaissance Bridals. I worked with Jon and he made it an incredible experience! He made me feel so comfortable and confident in every dress I put on. He provided me with options with what I came in thinking I’d like to see myself in as well as some options I would have never picked myself. Had he not done this I probably would have never found my dress! The sample fit perfectly so he was kind enough to let me leave with the sample, which was so helpful considering I’m on a shorter time line. If you’re looking for a dress go to Renaissance, you won’t regret it!

I wasn’t sure walking into Renaissance about how dress shopping normally went and didn’t expect to find anything at my first appointment. Boy, was I wrong, though! The owner, John, was extremely welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. I took my mom and future mother-in-law and we talked with John about styles and my wedding vision. He started with the type of dress I was sure I’d want and I loved it. The second dress was something I wouldn’t have picked for myself, but as soon as I tried it on, I was in love. John had me try a few others afterwards, but even though they were all beautiful, they just cemented my decision on the second dress I had tried on. I put that back on and John styled it with headpieces and veils and let me take my time admiring it. I actually got to walk out of the store with the dress, as I bought the sample (which is discounted by the way!) I also bought the headpiece he had me try on because I fell so in love with it! Throughout the entire process, I felt like the center of attention and did not once feel rushed or forgotten. The changes since Covid are actually super nice, as you’re the only one there so all attention and effort is on you and finding your perfect dress. I wanted to take my entire bridal party, but the limit of only 2 people (plus myself) made it super nice and intimate. John was great at making you feel amazing and was not pushy about buying anything. The entire atmosphere was so comfortable and such a great experience to enjoy with my mom and MIL. I’m so happy I decided to find my dress at Renaissance and would recommend them to anyone! They were super flexible with scheduling my appointment and rescheduling when something came up. I have only good things to say about Renaissance Bridal and John!

We had a beautiful experience at renaissance bridal! The historic building lined with gorgeous gowns creates the perfect ambience. John really took time to listen to what I wanted and helped pick dresses that worked with my body style and attitude. We had a private room with no one but my party! Truly this was a magical dress buying process, no pressure and I would recommend it to anyone looking for their perfect dress!

Renaissance was the first place I looked for my wedding dress and I didn't need to go anywhere else. John provides exclusive service to each bride during their appointment and I have never felt more beautiful than I did while trying wedding gowns on. John listened to what I had in mind for my dress but also gave me a variety of styles to try that flattered me; he wasn't pushy or demanding, but gave his professional opinion and genuinely wanted me to feel and look beautiful. I found my dream dress in less than an hour!!! I would highly recommend that anyone go to Renaissance to find their wedding gown, you will have an unforgettable experience!

This was the second place I went to try on wedding dresses, and I had a great experience at Rennaissance Bridals! Due to COVID (my appt was in Jan 2021) I could only bring two guests, but I still had a great time trying on dresses. I believe I worked with Jon, and he was very helpful in finding what I wanted and narrowing down from my top choices. The dress I chose ended up being a sample that I could take home the same day! I'm so glad I went to Renaissance!

I said Yes to the dress! Renaissance had so many options with a variety of different styles. I, personally, was looking for a dazzling look that would leave you blinded. the dresses were beautiful and the prices were very affordable. I worked with Jon. he was great and very honest with his opinions. he helped me navigate through my indecisiveness until I found the perfect one.

I went here for both prom dresses in high school and was excited to come back for my bridal experience. John, one of the owners, picked the perfect dresses, and I found the one by the third one. I purchased my prom dress from Renaissance 10 years ago and just thought maybe I should check it out for my wedding dress. I 3 appointments in one weekend within the area and Renaissance was the first stop. First, my consultant Jon was absolutely amazing. We were the only ones in the shop making it such a unique, special experience with my mother and future mother in law. Jon first pulled dresses that I thought I wanted and then pulled other dresses based on my reactions and feedback. He helped me find and customize my dream dress. After I found it, we still went to the other shops, but went back to Renaissance that next day and got my dream dress. I am very picky, but found my dress on the first day. I highly recommend Renaissance!

If you are looking for THE fairy god-father of wedding dresses, look no further than Renaissance Bridals. John was amazing, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and charming. The boutique itself is beautiful and well organized. The appointment was timely and John gave me his full attention as their policy is to only have one bride at a time. Never thought I could find a dress so easily but the gown is beautiful, elegant and timeless.
