It's hard to put into words how much Renaissance Orchestra did to elevate our August 2024 wedding and make sure everyone had a blast! Phaedra is exceptionally responsive and profes...
sional and the whole band did a great job accommodating our requests and preferences. We had people of all ages on the dance floor all night, and guests still tell us that Renaissance was the best wedding band they've ever seen. It makes such a difference that they play the entire reception without breaks to keep the energy high. Not to mention how fun the second line exit was!!!! If you care about great music & guest experience, book Renaissance!
Thank you to the Renaissance Orchestra! My wedding in May 2024 was a dream come true and the dance floor was filled. My friends still have not stopped talking about THE BAND! The R...
enaissance team also performed at my sister’s wedding 5 years prior. We loved them so much, we decided to book again.
They did not disappoint! My father who first found the band for my sister’s wedding, says what a compliment to allow one band to perform not only at ONE of my daughters’ weddings, but TWO!
We cannot say more good things about The Renaissance team and Phaedra. The entire band is amazing, and Phaedra gives you individualized treatment. She has excellent recommendations about timeline and songs! A lot of other companies have multiple people, and you might not know who will show up day of, but this is always the same team, and you know who you are getting. they are all FANTASTIC!
My wedding would not have been as amazing without hiring this band. We wish we could get married again to just dance the night away with the Renaissance Orchestra!
The Renaissance Orchestra truly elevated our wedding and reception into an unforgettable celebration. Their energy, versatility, and talent brought sophistication and joy to every ...
moment, seamlessly transitioning from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception with unmatched musical excellence.
In the Magnolia Room, their trio of piano, acoustic guitar, and flute created an ethereal atmosphere, setting the tone for our ceremony. From Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 to Handel’s Air from Water Music and Pachelbel’s Canon in D, their renditions were both elegant and moving. The bridal party’s entrance was harmonized beautifully, and the bride’s entrance, led by the piano, was an emotional highlight. The recessional, Mendelssohn’s Wedding March, ended the ceremony on a triumphant, joyful note.
During cocktail hour in the Azalea Room, the ensemble shifted to electric guitar, saxophone, and piano, blending smooth jazz and modern classics that kept the ambiance lively yet refined. The saxophone’s soulful melodies and the electric guitar’s contemporary edge added vibrancy without overpowering conversation, creating a perfect social backdrop.
In the Grand Savannah Ballroom, their full 11-member band transformed the reception into a dynamic celebration. From our powerful grand entrance to their mix of soft ballads during dinner and high-energy dance hits later, their ability to read the crowd ensured the dance floor was always full. Memorable moments included a guitarist’s electrifying solo among the crowd and the horns section's polished brass sound during songs like Africa and September, which added a classic big-band touch.
The evening culminated in a stunning New Orleans-style send-off. Transitioning to a mobile acoustic ensemble, they led a jubilant procession out of the ballroom, filling the night air with lively horns and percussion. This extraordinary finale left everyone clapping, dancing, and immersed in the celebratory energy.
The Renaissance Orchestra didn’t just perform; they crafted an experience we’ll treasure forever. Their ability to adapt to each stage of the day showcased their professionalism and talent. For anyone seeking a band to create emotional moments, energize a crowd, and leave a lasting impression, The Renaissance Orchestra is unparalleled.
We are endlessly grateful for the memories they helped create and eagerly await our video to relive the magic.
We can’t say enough good things about Renaissance Orchestra! We loved the band’s energy and musicality – it is very rare to see a wedding band this good at matching so many differe...
nt styles of music and different singers. Phaedra was wonderful to work with throughout the process, including traveling all the way to our home to talk through our plans and to go over the song list well in advance of the wedding. The whole band brought a level of professionalism that we really appreciated, down to the specific attention they paid to the acoustics in the ballroom. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the band was, and the dance party was something we’ll remember forever. Hiring Renaissance was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we can’t recommend them highly enough.
Book them now!! Renaissance Orchestra was so professional and lovely to work with during all the stages of planning and performing during our wedding reception. Phaedra is a terrif...
ic manager and took all of our music preferences and desires for a party atmosphere to heart. The band was SO talented, and played continuous music which kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! They adjusted according to the vibe in the room, and played a variety of modern and classic hits. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received about the band. It was the first thing that people mentioned when talking about the day! Best decision we made as far as wedding vendors.
The Renaissance Orchestra was the best money we could have spent for our wedding!! It was important to us to show our guests a great time and we were looking for a band that could ...
keep the dance floor full all night long...The Renaissance Orchestra was recommended to us by our wedding planner (Taylor at Spruce Events) and they were everything and more!!! They MADE the party and guests are still raving about them. If live music is important to you, I would not look any further.
Renaissance Orchestra MADE our wedding. Their talent, professionalism, and commitment to bringing the party is unparalleled. We love to dance, so an exceptional band was one of our...
top priorities for our wedding day. We chose Renaissance Orchestra for several reasons up front: 1) they are a UNIT - meaning, they do not have band members rotating in and out. They are always the same group performing together, and this was extremely important to us. 2) They are incredibly professional and committed to delivering the best performance - despite being a Philadelphia-based band, they agreed to perform in Pittsburgh for our wedding. 4 months in advance, they traveled 5 hours each way to come see the venue, get a sense for the acoustics, and make a logistic plan for their equipment. We made a detailed timeline together, based on our preferences and their recommendations. When the found out our after party was two blocks away - they offered to do a second line for us! 3) Their setlist is incredibly comprehensive, with everything from Frank Sinatra and the Four Seasons to Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa. They also learned 3 new songs for us and (knocked them out of the park).
Fast forward to the wedding day, the dance floor was packed the entire night. The talent of this group is out of this world. They read the energy of the crowd and kept building on it. The vocalists are absolutely incredible. A consistent comment we heard that night was "this is the best wedding band I've ever witnessed" and "your band is unreal". To top it off we had a second line down the street to our after party, which felt like something straight out of a movie.
They are worth every single penny and frankly a whole lot more. Thank you Renaissance Orchestra, you truly blew us away and gave us the wedding of our dreams!
Renaissance Orchestra is just fantastic! They really turned our 6-hour reception into the most epic dance party ever. The dance floor was packed all night, and our guests are sti...
ll raving about the music - one of our friends even booked them a few days later for their own wedding! This is a CLASSY band - spot on, interactive with the guests, and completely entertaining. Not to mention affordable. You won't be disappointed. Phaedra is great to work; she is very responsive when you e-mail her, and everything we discussed was executed on the day of. We are repeat customers, if that doesn't say enough. Renaissance did my sister's wedding in 2016, and mine in 2022. Highly recommend!
WHOLE HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND. Music was so important to our special day and Renaissance was the best decision and investment we made.

OVED the music so much that when we were crafting our big day, we knew we needed Phaedra and team!
Phaedra was such a pleasure to work with and everything ran perfectly all night, from the ceremony music to the dance floor (which was packed all night).
We were super specific about our "do not play list" and RO pivoted to play all the classics as requested and even learned our first & last dance song (and performed it perfectly)!
A lot of people wrongly assume that having a band can be super costly but Phaedra worked with our budget and even came under!
Couldn't have been happier and we enjoyed dancing the night away!
We are in total awe of Renaissance Orchestra and you absolutely must book this band for your wedding. We got married in October 2021 in Philadelphia and we are still getting compli...
ments on Renaissance Orchestra 2 months later. From the beginning, Phaedra was excellent to work with - she is incredibly responsive and dedicated to making your wedding entertainment vision come to life. I loved each of our meetings with her. Renaissance Orchestra is incredibly professional. They dressed in formal wear (tuxes, long gowns) and were absolute professionals on the day of. They never stopped playing throughout the reception. My family is very musical and includes some professional musicians in Philadelphia - they were absolutely astounded by the talent in this band, which says a lot. My Dad and I literally chose our father/daughter dance because of their performance of "Try a Little Tenderness" on their website (check it out!) - it was the reason we chose that song and will have that as a memory forever. They were highly entertaining and had something for all our guests - everyone was on the dance floor the whole time. Finally, Phaedra is an excellent MC and the whole evening ran smoothly with her on the mic. I would give anything to get one more hour on the dance floor with them! Book Renaissance!!
We are so grateful for Phaedra and the Renaissance Orchestra for making our wedding a success. 10 very talented musicians brought our wedding to life on a cold, Friday night in Dec...
ember. It took over a year to plan our wedding and Phaedra was so supportive throughout the entire process. She was responsive to all of our questions and she was patient as we changed the plan a zillion times. Beyond just being pleasant to work with, Renaissance Orchestra made our wedding fun for our guests and we couldn’t be happier. I’d definitely recommend them! And I know all of our guests would too!
Stop looking for a band right now BECAUSE YOU FOUND THEM! Renaissance Orchestra was the best wedding investment we made. Phaedra was such a pleasure to work with and everything ran...
perfectly all night. Our dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT long and so many people told us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to. I really credit a lot of that to Renaissance Orchestra. They play all kinds of different music and did a great job learning the three songs we requested. I know that bands are not in everyone's price range, but, if they are doable with your budget, call Phaedra right this second and book her band!
BOOK THIS BAND ASAP! They are the most amazing group of musicians and they have their set down to a T! They take a whole list of songs that you want them to perform from the list o...
n their website, and will also learn 3 more songs just for you! Their manager Phaedra is organized, sweet, and responds super quickly to any questions you might have. Your guests will have a BLAST dancing with you and your husband to this incredible group!

y needs with some oldies, mo town, rock and recent hits, our guests were dancing all night. They played music the entire time without stopping so there was no lull in the party. We had everyone of all ages on the dance floor from a 2 year old to a 90 year old woman. We had multiple guests compliment the music and take the bands info for their own events coming up. We highly recommend Renaissance Orchestra!!!

I'm so incredibly glad we booked this band for our wedding! They really knew how to get people dancing and keep the party going. We wanted a variety of music, from jazz to country ...
to modern hits, and they excelled in all genres. Our guests kept saying how great the band was, and several of them mentioned that they wanted to book them for their own weddings. They really helped make our wedding unforgettable!!

ontact me after my inquiry online. My husband and parents checked them out a local wedding venue. We loved their energy and excitement. Phaedra, the band manager, was so friendly and outgoing. Every email was returned shortly. Every phone call returned promptly. Her follow up was amazing!! My husband and I were adamant that we did not want any cliche wedding songs (think "Shout", "Hot! Hot! Hot!" or "Brick House"). We wanted a mix of top 40, hip hop but also some classics like Frankie. Phaedra said she would learn a few songs not on their list and even though, some of the songs we requested were not your typical songs, on the day of our wedding, they rocked it out. They played all sorts of songs to entertain our guests and kept everyone dancing. We asked them to perform a throwback, "American Boy" by Estelle and Kanye West. I don't know if you are familiar with that song but my husband and I love it. They nailed it 1000%!!!! Phaedra did the rapping and blew it out of the water. My bridesmaids and girlfriends were shocked because you don't typically hear songs like that at a wedding. Everyone loved it!!! The comliments I received on the band were amazing. Once the reception really got started, they got the room going. The music was phenomenal! The horns were great, the drums, keys, etc. Everything was fantastic! Everyone had so much fun! When my husband and I went around to talk to our guests, they all raved about how great the band was, how they sounded awesome and how lively they were. Three months later, and people are still telling me how fabulous my wedding was and how amazing the band was.
Renaissance Orchestra was the best choice that we made music wise. We wanted something different for our wedding. They made our wedding fun even for people who don’t dance. They simply enjoyed sitting back, listening and enjoying the music. This band is the way to go! They were fantastic!!!

lay multiple instruments. Everything went very smoothly on the big night and we got so many compliments from our guests. Some of my friends even asked for the band's contact info for their own wedding. If I were to plan the wedding again, I would use them again in a heartbeat!

ole new level of fun and awesomeness! This 10 person band kicks ass. They don't take any breaks, and play such a variety of music that every single person at my wedding was on the dance floor. EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. I did not leave the dance floor ALL night except for maybe 3 minutes to cut my cake (which is exactly what I wanted).
They learned a few special songs for us, including a crazy first dance song and a flash mob. Other than that, I gave them the general idea of what I like music wise, and they hit it perfectly. They are true performers, playing off the vibes of the crowd.
If you hire them, you won't be sorry. I give them my HIGHEST recommendation!

astic their music was, and how electric they made the atmosphere. Phaedra, the band leader, is terrific to work with, as she is the consummate professional but very friendly and energetic.
We couldn't have imagined or asked for a better band to play our wedding!
We labored over our band decision. At first, we were going to do a jersey shore band, because we love the tempo. But we also wanted a band that could play the oldies and classics...
well for earlier in the night and for our first dances. Renaissance band was the perfect solution- they play almost everything- and if they don't play it- they will learn it and play it perfectly for you. Our dance floor was rocking the entire night and everyone was raving about them. It was definitely one of the best decisions we made! BOOK THEM!
