Claudette Renard began catering to her friends and family after many years working in the restaurant business. In 1984 she started Renard Country Elegance Old Fashioned Deli & Catering in a small building on three corners with some of her mothers recipes and a philosophy of Quality, Quantity & Variety for all of her customers.
The business has expanded into a large modern kitchen, but still follows her rules of using the best ingredients in every recipe, providing generous portions, and giving more choices on every menu than our competitors.
We have pricing available to see at our website for our most popular buffets. We can custom design menus to match any event! We love to custom design menus for our customers.
We currently have the experience, equipment and professional staff available to serve any catering needs. Whether your event is large or small, simple or elegant we can serve your guests with style!

g our full guest count. The only small issue was communication before the event; it would’ve been helpful to have a day-of contact or a clear arrival timeline, especially since it was raining. (Which is part on me for not asking beforehand.) That said, the manager personally reached out the next day to check in, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated!

We did work with a few different office contacts throughout the planning process, and despite a few lapses in communication, everything came together beautifully in the end. And while we didn’t end up with leftovers (a bummer for us!), it just meant the portions were spot-on and our guests enjoyed every bit of it.
Overall, we were really happy with the experience and would absolutely recommend Renard’s to other couples!

However, the planning and communication were frustrating and disorganized. Our pricing changed multiple times without clear explanations, and we often had to follow up ourselves to get basic information. Even the week of the wedding, we had to remind them about our charcuterie board for cocktail hour—something we had discussed and been quoted for but they had completely forgotten. They also didn’t arrive at the time they had said they would on the day of, which added stress to an already full day.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the overwhelming amount of leftover food. We were quoted and paid for 85 guests, but we had way more food than necessary—enough to feed at least 30 extra people. It felt incredibly wasteful and made us wonder how carefully the portions were planned.
At one point, we were told that they had quoted us the wrong prices on all the food items but decided to just raise the price on one of them “as a favor.” That kind of logic—and the way it was communicated—was confusing and didn’t inspire confidence.
We’re grateful the food was excellent, but the lack of organization and clarity made the experience far more stressful than it needed to be. With better communication and planning, this could have been a standout vendor.

All of our guests raved about how good the food was (we had their broasted chicken and beef tips), it all was very reasonably priced, and they have an amazing selection to choose from. Also, we had Renard’s serve our sheet cakes to guest and before dinner they placed the pieces of cake at each guest table (as opposed to putting it on a separate table) and it was absolutely brilliant. I can’t thank them enough for the amazing food and exceptional service. Highly recommend!
