OH MY GOSH – where do I start?? Our wedding photographer was hands down one of the most important aspects of our wedding day. I looked at literally every photographer in the Pittsburgh area and narrowed it down to a few. Kat was the first person we met with and we ended up chatting and looking at her pictures at Starbucks with her for close to three hours. With Kat, you are not just getting a photographer, you are getting an amazing artist with an impeccable eye for detail and you are also getting a friend and wedding coach. She is there for you throughout every single aspect of the wedding planning and day, she even went to the venue with us for our final detail meeting just to make sure she was familiar with the setup and could talk to the coordinator there about the schedule for the day. Our engagement shoot was more fun than I could ever imagine, we literally ran around the city and parked in random spots and got the most amazing, and UNIQUE, pictures. They were far from your run of the mill engagement photos and I have received so many compliments on them it’s insane. When she started doing boudoir photos I signed up IMMEDIATELY. I was nervous and shy but Kat showed up with a bottle of champagne and made me more comfortable than I ever expected to be. The result was the most amazing, romantic, and sexy pictures of myself. Everything I love about myself was highlighted and my husband is still blown away by the album that she put together for us. Kat, Mark, and Gary were all awesome when it came to the wedding day. They were amazingly unobtrusive and yet so much fun. We had a blast and they were there all day, there was no counting of hours or telling us that our time was up. They truly cared about capturing the whole day, not just the family portraits, but all of my friends and family together and celebrating. Within a few days I had several people asking me for Kat’s info for their own weddings or their family member’s weddings. I cannot recommend Kat and her team enough, and 5 stars just doesn’t seem enough. They take the time to turn your special moments into world class art and you will not be disappointed.

We are so thrilled that we found Kat and Mark and were able to have them as our photographers. We cannot say enough nice things about them and the work that they do. Things started off with an amazing engagement photo shoot. The weather was not ideal, but Kat worked her magic and we ended up with really cool and unique photos! For the wedding, they were with us the entire day which was so awesome. From the time hair and makeup started for the girls in the morning, all the way through the night at the reception, they did not miss a beat. Once again the weather was not in our favor, but sure enough, Kat and Mark were able to pull it off once again! Kat and Mark were more than just our photographers, they helped out in so many ways. They were awesome support systems, catered to our every need, and felt like our friends by the end of the day. We were blown away when we got the photos back. The moments Kat and Mark were able to capture for us were amazing. We feel like we are there and reliving our wedding day each time we look at a picture. The emotion and realness they are able to capture is incredible, and you can’t help but smile when looking through them. The pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined and we will cherish them forever!

It’s hard to know where to start but bottom line, we LOVE Kat! She is so personable and has been great start to finish. Kat is very easy to work with; she’s reliable and responsive, and you get a lot with her photo packages all of which have really cool details! The best part, our wedding photos are gorgeous having the perfect mixture of styles: photojournalistic, romantic, candid and fun! She and her awesome team really captured those special moments and gave really unique perspectives to what would otherwise have been a normal shot. She will make you feel comfortable and will give you great advice. She is truly a dedicated photo ninja!

Kat is an amazing photojournalist. She is focused and passionate about her art. I chose requiem images to photograph my wedding because all of that shows in her work. Her photographs are not only of amazing quality, but they are each unique and beautiful. Not only do I have an amazing collection of photographs that I get to keep forever, but Kat also was a blast to work with. She stepped in and helped us when we didn't know what we were doing at the rehearsal dinner, and her guidance helped us to ensure our wedding ran smoothly. If you want photographs that have a little more depth and are taken with by someone who truly cares about their work product and giving you what you want, then I HIGHLY recommend Requiem Images!

Kat was extremely easy to work with, very flexible when we began to run a little late, and completely dedicated to documenting our big day. The package we booked/purchased with her included our engagement photos as well and I STILL get compliments on those! She's very professional and creative and you can absolutely tell she loves her work! If she will continue traveling to KY for me I'll continue booking her (hopefully for maternity/newborn shoots in the future!!)!

I don't even know where to begin! We found Kat on The Knot after looking through many photographers and talking to several. I fell in love with Kat's pictures and her style and as soon as I talked to her on the phone I knew she was perfect. Kat took our engagement pictures and the pictures were so natural and fun and then she kept in contact over the months leading up to the wedding. Kat came to our rehearsal to start figuring out shots and even took a few pictures of us doing our last kiss as Mr. And Miss. The next day she was with us the entire day. From beginning at 9:00 at the salon to end of the reception. They captured everything without limiting the number of hours or pictures taken. We also had Kat's intern and her videographer, Gary. They all traveled as a really cool pack to capture all of our special moments. They were fun to have as wedding guests! Kat turned into not only our photographer but a friend. I would recommend Requiem Images without hesitation to anyone who wants amazing, natural, fun pictures that aren't staged or cheesy.

We chose Modern Flash Photography as our wedding photographer and have no regrets about it. While wedding planning and talking to friends and family many said that their photographer was the one thing they would have changed, so I felt the pressure to make sure we picked a great photographer that would capture the most important day in our life thus far. I researched, read reviews, looked at proofs and examples, but it wasn’t until I met with Kat that I knew she was who I wanted to go with. She made us feel completely comfortable from the get-go. She was extremely accommodating with the fact that we live in FL but getting married in our home state of KY. She even offered to take them in FL for us! Neither of us are photogenic people or like getting in front of the camera, so we were not looking forward to having to take engagement photos and stage all the awkward poses, but again, Kat made us feel comfortable and let us just have normal conversations and really captured “us” instead of posing. We stopped at several places on the way to our “spot” to take pictures because she saw the photo-op and they turned out to be our favorites. She was with one of us the entire day of the wedding all the way to the end snapping away priceless photos. We had a New Years Eve wedding, so we had to take pictures pretty early in the day to get the right light and then also wait until midnight to ring in the New Year with our guests. Kat was with us the entire time and made the best of the day right along with my family and wedding party. I would highly recommend Modern Flash for your special day and throughout your whole wedding process.

Kat and Oliver really made our day special. Without them, I don't think our wedding would be so fun. Kat and Oliver are super fun to be around with. They're so energetic and creative. And they will be with you ALL day! If they say something,they mean it! Kat and Oliver have so many options for you to choose from. I cannot begin to tell you 1. how important a great photographer is at your wedding and 2. how great Modern Flash Photography is. Kat and Oliver tag team so well and make sure they capture every moment of the day. They also helped out and ordered our boys some pizza for lunch! My makeup artist bailed on me and Kat was quick to jump on the phone and call up someone else to schedule an appt so I wouldn't have to worry. They really care about what you want and take what they do very seriously. Their prices beat almost everyone who actually takes decent looking pictures. If you are making this decision, you have to go with Modern Flash Photography. You WILL NOT regret it!!

This couple of photographers goes above and beyond. There is no limit on the hours they will spend to get the perfect shot. For engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, wedding photos, a trash the dress session and thank you cards, it was less than $2000. There were no additional travel fees and they probably spent a total of 30 hours with us. Amazing people! And the photos are good too :)

Best photography professionals in Morgantown! I booked Modern Flash for my wedding and ended up working mainly with Kat since Oliver was out of the country during that time. Kat and their intern shoot our engagement pics and the wedding and I couldn't be happier. You will not find a more dedicated photographer in the area, when she says they will be with you ALL DAY she means it! Photo's are absolutely gorgeous, she was able to capture our essence as a couple and show it in her work. Highly recommend!

I have just recently gotten married and used Modern Flash Photography as my wedding and engagement photographers. They were absolutely phenomenal! Planning a wedding can be very intimidating and expensive if you don't know what you're doing, and trust me I did not know what I was doing. I feel so blessed that I found them here on the knot. From the first time I spoke with Kat she calmed my nerves and got me excited about the pictures. When I first picked them I'll be honest, its because they were a great deal. i had know idea the pictures were going to be absolutely stunning. I have seriously had people I have never met compliment me on the pictures. Through the process she become a friend and someone I would want at my wedding even as a guest. They go above and beyond because they truly care about making your pictures special. They don't care how long they have to stay or how cold it is (engagement) or how hot it is (wedding.) Kat even set down her camera to redo one of my bridesmaids hair because she was freaking out and Kat made it look beautiful! I mean come on, who does that?? I could never say enough how great they were. They are amazing photographers as well as amazing people.
