Based in Bohemia, NY, Resilient Beauty is a wedding hair and makeup business offering services to nearlyweds. Hi! Thank you so much for taking interest in my business! I am Monique. Anything to do with art and creating completes me. I have been a Hairstylist and Makeup-Artist for 8 years, specializing in Bridal. I have also worked in Fashion, Editorial and Print. Bridal is by far my favorite and what I am naturally drawn to. Seeing you happy on your wedding day is just as important to you as it is to me. And I take so much pride in that. What I love most about being a Hairstylist and Makeup-Artist is that you're never really finished on your journey. You are forever growing and learning to not only improve your craft, but to improve yourself. Beauty to me comes from within. Beauty is strength. Beauty is being resilient. Beauty is never giving up. hat styles/colors would look good for me and recommended them. She was so nice, patient and helpful along the way! I cannot recommend her enough! She also did hair and make up for my bridal party and two of the girls have since also used her for their own weddings because they loved her so much! It’s a big deal to trust someone for your special day. But she managed time and made sure everyone was done and got exactly what they asked for! I promise Monique will make you feel like a princess and at ease for your special day!!! And I still get my hair done by her-she’s the only one I will go to now!!!
Monique was INCREDIBLE! I have straight silky hair that doesn’t hold a curl well and my hair was perfectly wavy all day and night (on a humid day in July, no less!)

I decided the morning of my wedding that I wanted to do something completely different from my trial looks and I completely trusted her to nail it . She did not disappoint !! She let me be vocal about what I wanted and checked in frequently throughout the morning to make sure I was happy with how everything was coming out. My hair stayed in place all night and even with the dancing and sweating on the dance floor, my makeup did not move. I felt just as beautiful at the end of the night as I did in the morning. I can not thank Monique enough for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day and being so fun, personable and communicative along the way! She is an AMAZINGLY gifted hair and makeup artists, as well as the KINDEST professional I have ever sat down in a chair with. She dealt with my anxious energy the day of, and smiled and calmed me down the whole way through! My hair and makeup did not move the entire night!! My hair actually didn’t move until the next day, because I was too tired to fiddle with the clip ins after the reception. 11 months to my wedding and she delivered yet again. Both myself and my bridesmaids makeup came out flawless. Everyone loved how natural but beautiful they looked. Second most important was that my makeup remained perfect through the many tears I cried that day, and it did! I cried (happy tears) multiple times throughout the day and you absolutely wouldn’t know it.
Leading up to the wedding Monique was responsive to many many questions and was SO organized when it came to plan a timeline. She kept close communication with my hair dresser to ensure that the morning would flow smoothly. The morning was perfectly timed, not rushed, and I even had time to relax before it was time to leave. Monique is friendly, sweet, and has a great energy- qualities that you definitely would want out of someone you’re spending time with during your wedding day with! I highly recommend Monique and Resilient Beauty!

here were 14 of us plus two little girls.
Her team was incredible, and everyone felt so seen and heard. I have been in dozens of weddings and my hair always ends up looking meh. All of my bridesmaids kept coming up to me telling me how beautiful they felt and that just felt SO good as a bride.
The part that still makes me really emotional is that Monique wasn't confident in my friend taking off my veil so she decided to stay until after the ceremony to take it off herself and fix my hair. I felt like I had been given an angel.
I don't even really think I need to speak as the photos do it justice. If you can work with Monique it will be the best decision you ever make for your wedding.

hair until 3am when I manually took out the extensions. I have very curly hair and I hate when the front pieces start curly because of sweat. Never happened… i don’t know what Monique did but my day would not have been the same without her. She made me feel beautiful on the most special day of my life.
