If you are wondering who to work with for your wedding dance choreography, you can stop looking! Hugh and Jocelyn are an incredible team, and I highly recommend them! My husband an...
d I started working with them several months before our wedding and took a series of lessons to get ready for our wedding dance -- we had no prior formal dance instruction. We worked primarily with Hugh, who choreographed our first dance and worked with us, patiently, for many lessons! Hugh is such a skilled and professional instructor, but also so much fun (we laughed and joked through every lesson). We had the chance to work with Jocelyn too for a lesson and she brought additional expertise and insight to help me (the bride) improve my posture and get through some spots I was struggling with. My husband and I highly recommend this team for any dance instruction, but especially for fun and compassionate wedding dance lessons. They will work with you at any level and will not make it feel stuffy! We are so glad we chose to work with them!

g. 10/10 would do again!
Longer version: I am no dancer. I am the type to do any activity at a wedding instead of having to stand on the dance floor.
Last year I got engaged and a big part of wedding planning surrounded my fiancés desire to have a successful first dance. We looked around and decided to give Resolute Ballroom a shot.
Let’s just say what started out as a less than ideal chore turned out to be a very enjoyable and fun experience!
We intended to just do a few classes but were very engaged and ended up booking additional 1:1 sessions. The big day came and my wife and I felt extremely comfortable during the first dance. Huge thank you to Jocelyn for everything in making everything perfect!
We took dance lessons here in preparation for our first dance at our wedding. We were both completely new to ballroom dancing. Jocelyn was an amazing teacher. She was personable, k...

ou feel so comfortable and confident in what they are teaching you. They choreographed such a beautiful and fun first married dance. We highly recommend working with Jocelyn and Hugh if you are looking for dance lessons. They also have fun different group dance lessons on Thursday nights that we have attended and have enjoyed and learned so much. We truly enjoyed working with them and appreciate their hard work they put into our first dance. We even became such good friends with them that we invited them to our wedding and had such a great time with them at the wedding. We can't wait to continue dancing at their dance studio as we learn more dance styles! Thank you Jocelyn and Hugh! :)
We cannot say enough good things about Jocelyn as our wedding dance instructor! My partner and I had no dance experience and she was able to choreograph and teach us the most amazi...
ng dance for our wedding day. Not to mention, she also taught lessons for my partner and his mother which was equally amazing. Jocelyn is an outstanding teacher. She was able to meet us on our level and choreograph a dance that we felt comfortable doing on our wedding day but also looked stunning! We got so many complements! Jocelyn and Hugh are both so nice and personable. They made us feel very comfortable every time we went in. We also appreciated that there was no push to do a set number of lessons. Jocelyn was very understanding that people have different budgets and offers advice on what to do if you need to do fewer lessons. That being said, we took our lessons and continue to go back to their studio for group lessons because they are just that amazing! 100% recommend Resolute Ballroom for any dance lessons you are looking for.
OMG if you are looking for a place to learn a dance for your wedding than look no further… Jocelyn at Resolute Ballroom is the absolute best!! My (now) husband and I took 4 lessons...
about 6 weeks before our wedding, and I have to say our first dance was one of my most favorite parts of the wedding. Our dance was beautifully romantic, and had many people in tears! My husband was super stoked about doing dance lessons and was a bit nervous at the start about being on display, but Jocelyn told him if you practice for 5 min a day you will have the confidence to nail it, and we did!! She taught us the routine in a way that was easy to digest and not overwhelming at all. She helped us with song suggestions and edited the song so that it was only 2 min at my husbands request, which was awesome. Jocelyn made each class so fun and had us laughing every time. I also kind of expected dance lessons to be expensive like everything else that has wedding in the name, but it was totally affordable and well worth the money. There’s nothing worst then making your guest watch you sway back and forth for 4 minutes. If you’re on the fence, just do it! You won’t regret it!
We absolutely LOVED our dance lessons with Jocelyn and both looked forward to them each week! We both enjoyed dancing prior but had no experience with partner dancing. Jocelyn imme...
diately made us feel comfortable and excited for our first dance. She is able to tailor your classes to your experience level and the number of lessons you can attend. We both have very busy schedules and she was so flexible! Our first dance turned out AMAZING and is our favorite memory of our reception. We 10/10 recommend this studio for your first dance and we plan to continue dancing here even after the wedding.
Jocelyn was a great dance teacher and gave us a few great moves to help us look good at our daughter’s wedding.
I always look forward to dance lessons. They make sure you can have fun and feel comfortable being yourself. It was great to have a choreographed dance for our wedding because we ...
didn’t have to worry about everyone staring at us while we just rocked back and forth.
