azing brick walls, and beautiful windows over looking historic Liberty Square- the space is just stunning. Michelle and her team are beyond words! From the beginning she let me know that she was here to make sure that my husband and I had a great day. From our first tour of the venue to the day of she has been incredible. She is very communicative and helpful. Even if I had questions on recommendations for other vendors or general wedding questions I knew I could ask her. At our final walk through she helped me organize my vendors information and helped with coordinating their set ups. My wedding was honestly so stress free and enjoyable. If you are looking for an amazing venue- look no further.

on as we walked in, we fell in love with the place and the people who run it. The space itself is beautiful (tall, tin-pressed ceilings, brick walls, original hardwood floors - pictures don't do it justice!), and there are so many places around Downtown Liberty & William Jewell campus to take bridal party photos. The bridal suite is 100% instagrammable, and the perfect size for the bridal party to get ready in for the wedding day. However, the real star of Restoration 1894 is Michele, the venue manager and day-of coordinator. She is so warm and friendly, and immediately makes you feel at home. She also was SUCH a big help on the day of our wedding, coordinating with the caterer, DJ and other vendors so you don't have to worry about answering your phone to questions of "How do I get in?" or "Where do I park?" on your wedding day. Michele was such a blessing and made our day run so smoothly! Also, my husband and I got married during the summer of 2020 (during the COVID-19 pandemic), and Michele was so supportive and accommodating throughout the whole planning process. She kept us updated on county regulations, helped us enforce whatever COVID guidelines we felt comfortable with at the wedding, and even sourced professionals to serve our buffet when we decided that having everyone touch the same serving utensils wasn't a good idea! We were able to pull off the wedding we had dreamed of, even during a pandemic, with the help of Michele and Restoration 1894. I will always be forever grateful that they helped us create some great memories in 2020, in both a fun and safe way! We also took her recommendation of a photographer (Michelle Kabrick), and were so impressed with how beautifully our photos turned out! Tour Restoration 1894 and meet Michele - you won't regret it!

m our wedding date that we could have no more than 20 people due to their square footage I was scrambling to find a new space. Michele was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. She has a huge heart and immediately wanted to help me. In the end it was a total blessing!! This space is GORGEOUS. The groom’s room & bridal suite are fantastic and made for a stress free pre-wedding gathering. The exposed brick and building made for gorgeous photos as well!

ull off the perfect day! The venue itself is beautiful...high ceilings, wooden floors, windows overlooking the Liberty Square...and immaculately clean! There was easy elevator access for the caterer and for loading/unloading the decor. On top of the awesome space, Michele was a total cheerleader! She was super easy to work with, had great recommendation for other vendors (DJ, catering, photography), and was very helpful in keeping the day of the wedding stress free and flowing as planning! I can’t recommend Restoration 1894 enough, book it!

ch wonderful historic architectural details -- Palladian and bay windows, warm wood floors and brick walls, an intricate and beautiful antique tin ceiling -- all overlooking the historic Liberty town square. With these details and the candlelight flickering, the setting was just magical. What a wonderful space for a very special evening and for some beautiful photo memories. As far as the service, Michele is amazing. She's very professional, yet has a warm and friendly way about her that sets the tone for all of the staff and for the evening! There were 200 people at our event, but the staff took care of us as if we were guests in their homes. The service was very efficient and professional -- waters refilled frequently, plates cleared quickly, etc. -- but it was all done in a warm and personable way that made the evening feel a lot more relaxed and enjoyable compared to the experience at a typical banquet. The event space, town-square setting, and skilled staff at Restoration 1894 make it a space where distractions seem to fall away. What a beautiful place to celebrate a special event with friends and family!

e most gorgeous venues I have ever seen. Working with Michelle was an absolute pleasure. She is the best! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. From the initial consultation meeting to when we left the reception, Michelle was there making sure every detail was in place. I was able to relax and enjoy my special day because I knew Michelle had everything under control. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married in the future!

helle is fantastic at customer service and she really cares that your day is the best it can be! Michelle went above and beyond to make our experience an enjoyable one! The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because of the alcohol situation. You are required to go through one company only if you want alcohol at your event. Top Shelf Bartending KC was a nightmare to book for our event. I called several times and no one answered the phone, so I used their websites’ “contact us” option and never got a reply. I finally got ahold of them on a Monday and got the ball rolling. I let Michelle know what had transpired and the owner, Erin, emailed me directly. I was thankful Michelle wanted to make sure we had great service. Erin was completely unprofessional and accusatory in her emails and tried to blame me for her company not answering the phone and supposedly not getting my “contact us” email via her website. She informed me that they don’t answer the phone on Saturday (this isn’t advertised anywhere) and that is the “only reason” they wouldn’t answer the phone. The hateful way she communicated was beyond distasteful and I would never have used her business, but I had no option. Restoration 1894 is exclusive with this alcohol vendor only- you can not bring your own alcohol. They are over priced!! My advice would be for Restoration to go through the expense and licensing to allow guests to bring alcohol, or to find a better and more respectful alcohol company to host events. I will never use top shelf again and if that is my only option at 1894, then I won’t have my events held there. I love the space and the management at Restoration 1894, but the alcohol situation is enough to make me choose another venue for other large events that I will have in the future.

because we were absolutely blown away. The space itself was gorgeous and beautifully romantic, and the accommodations that the venue provided were perfect for the day! However, what really sold us was our communication with Michele from the first second we walked in, until we closed down the venue after our big night. We never worried about a thing , because she seamlessly communicated with everyone involved with our wedding planning to make our day incredible. She even ended up doing our floral arrangements for our reception, which surpassed our every expectation! If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

We had about 170 at our wedding and it was very comfortable and a ton of room for tables and a large dance floor. It has beautiful tin ceilings and the exposed brink looks very classic and vintage. The beautiful hard wood floors, brick walls and white vintage tinned ceilings was the exact look I wanted. I 100% recommend this venue! Michele is very quick with communication as well!

Michelle was very easy to work with and when my wife and I needed a break, Michelle was understanding and was willing to work with us. The space itself is astonishing. Truly truly truly a remarkable building. Right in the heart of downtown Liberty, there were tons of places to take pictures both inside and outside of the venue. Our favorite part though by far was this huge, open window at the front of the space overlooking the square. It was beautiful.

o ensure they were the perfect reflection of my husband and I’s personality. Even before I was engaged, the renovations being made to this space caught my eye and would always make me think, “This would be a great option for a wedding reception someday”. I loved the hardwood floors, exposed brick, classic white wainscot, tin ceiling and huge windows that welcomed every ounce of sunlight. Once we were engaged and started talking date options, I immediately sent an email to Restoration 1894 – praying they had availability. I immediately received a sweet response from Michele confirming the space was open and available for a viewing. With my family in-tow, we toured the space and I immediately knew this would be the setting for my wedding reception. (It was the first and only space we looked at). I can’t say enough wonderful things about the space, but most importantly Michele. She was an absolute dream and the venue is so incredibly blessed to have her! She made my wedding day absolutely perfect! Because of her attention to detail, organization and overall personality – I was able to truly be a bride on my wedding day. If you are bride looking for a venue – take the time to meet with Michele. It will be time well spent!

I don't think our wedding could have gone smoother and we always felt like Michele had us covered. The facility is gorgeous. It is classy and rustic. Very high ceilings makes it feel open even with a large group. The East Room is also worth it. It gives people a place to go that is quieter and lets them catch their breath. We got so many comments on how beautiful the building itself was.

By the night of our wedding, I felt like I had known Michele my entire life. She absolutely went above & beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect; all thanks to her, it was. I will never be able to thank Michele & Restoration 1894 enough! I have absolutely NO idea what I would have done if I had not found her & Restoration 1894. Thank you Michele & Restoration 1894!!

vious choice. Michele was incredibly helpful and a joy to work with. My wedding day was calm with no hiccups and most of that was due to the staff at Restoration 1894. It is a beautiful venue already with linens provided so we did not have to invest much in decor. For us everything was kept simple. I can't speak highly enough of this venue, it is wonderful!

and candles for the windows, and that was just perfect. In fact, my favorite thing about the venue is how easy Michele makes the whole process. I'm not much of a planner, and I was intimidated by planning a wedding. Michele gave us solid recommendations and thought of positively everything, so my mom and I ended up following her advice--and we were so glad we did! Not only did everything go perfectly smoothly, but we had the freedom and confidence to breathe and enjoy the process because we weren't running around trying to solve one problem after another. Highly recommend the venue, Michele's advice, and Wanda at Hyvee (another of Michele's recommendations).

Everything was clean, comfortable and stocked. Downtown Liberty was lit up for the Christmas holiday and really created a beautiful scene for us.

t was. The chairs are beautiful and Michelle had everything ready to go the day before so we could set up. The bride and groom room are beautiful and so much fun to use. They are protected with locks during the ceremony, which was really nice. There is an elevator for vendors and Michelle was incredibly helpful with recommending vendors. I appreciated being able to decorate the hall myself the day before and Michelle was great in coordinating that. There were a couple things I would caution couples looking at this site - if you want a crowd of >130, you definitely need the additional room (which is not included in the original cost) and would not recommend more than 150-160 total, because we did not want to break down tables to dance. The parking situation was unfortunate, as the bridal party was incorrectly told where to park and several people missed part of the reception to move cars. I wish there was a designated site for parking, other than just on the square, especially for the bridal party. Finally, be careful when talking to your caterers, as the kitchen is not great for making or keeping food warm, as it is smaller.
