We had such a wonderful experience with this venue and would absolutely recommend it! Maggie was incredible to work with from start to finish. She was accommodating, responsive, helpful with all of our questions, and genuinely fun to work with throughout the planning process. The venue itself is stunning, and one of the things we loved most was having so many different spaces available to us. Between the waterfront, forest area, outdoor hangout spaces, indoor reception space, and cabins, the property gave us so many beautiful options and made the entire weekend feel special. Having cabins on-site for guests was also a huge plus, and we especially loved being able to bring our dogs and have them stay with us. We also held our rehearsal on-site at the Taphouse, and the staff there were so welcoming and supportive. We loved that both the rehearsal and reception featured drinks made with local ingredients, which felt like such a fun and thoughtful touch. The getting-ready experience was also wonderful. The venue set up the cutest mimosa bar and snacks for us, and the bridal suite was such a comfortable and fun space to spend the morning getting ready. Another major plus was having floral and catering included through the venue. The florals were absolutely incredible, and the food was delicious. So many of our guests went out of their way to tell us how much they loved the food, which is always a great sign! Our wedding day itself went incredibly smoothly, and we were so happy with how everything came together. There were a couple of small things worth noting. Some of our guests did have trouble with Wi-Fi and cell service around the cabins, despite us being told ahead of time that it likely would not be an issue. We also tend to be planners who like to work ahead, and because of our schedules, we sometimes wanted to finalize details earlier than the venue’s typical timeline. They were flexible with some things, while others needed to wait until their usual planning window. There were also a few pieces of information we had to specifically ask about rather than receiving proactively, but whenever we did reach out, responses were always quick and helpful. Overall, we had a beautiful experience. The property is gorgeous, Maggie was BEYOND wonderful to work with, the food and florals were fantastic, and our entire wedding day went so smoothly. It was truly perfect.

We got married at the Taphouse at Retreat 21, and we were over the moon with it. We’re a casual couple who didn’t want anything super fancy or big. This space was perfect. The team at the Taphouse made our day perfect! Everyone was so organized and professional. The service was great. I didn’t even know we were the first wedding held there until later that evening, they seemed like they’ve been doing it for a long time. I would highly recommend this space if you’re looking for something more budget friendly but with that country chic feel.
