Dave was great for our medieval wedding! We did handfasting and helped us all the way to our wedding day! Super flexible and easy to work with!

Dave is a lot of fun! He made sure to go over the big details with us, including how to change your name, where and how to get a copy of your marriage certificate, and so much more I can't even think of. We definitely appreciated how he prioritized our wishes too! Weddings can be overwhelming, especially when guests think it should be done a specific way, but Dave made sure we had a voice and choices for our ceremony.

We got married a month ago and chose Rev D to be our officiant after meeting with many others. His sense of humor, organization, and professionalism is what led us to choose him. He made the wedding ceremony process very easy as he curates a script and lets you personalize it. He also hand delivered our marriage license for us after our wedding day which was a huge plus! Rev D brought the laughs and fun to our ceremony and had our guests talking about it for weeks after. Thank you for everything!

Rev D is a seasoned professional in the wedding biz who helped us through every step in the ceremony script building process (as well as marriage license details) and definitely brought the laughs! Rev. Dave is the Best! My wife and I got married in June 2024, and leading up to the Big Day, we had a hard time finding a Pastor that we felt comfortable with and trusted. Given that we were not "Members" of a traditional Church, we found it was not as easy as we thought to find an Officiant. My wife actually found him through The Knot. After doing alot of research on Rev. Dave, I found that he had officiated over 290 weddings, was a military West Point Academy graduate, and a true southern gentleman with a great personality. With me coming from the South and also from a military family, I decided to reach out to Dave. Within 10 mins of talking to him, I knew he was "our guy"! Dave went way far above and beyond for us. Being a very detailed oriented and demanding "client", Rev. Dave accommodated every single request that we had. Dave spent a lot of time with us leading up to the Day. He provided multiple Zoom meetings with us, his communication was precise and he even helped us with the entire plan and execution. He even came up with some great scripture, poems and ideas on how to provide the perfect experience for us on the most special day of our lives. Not only did he communicate with us daily for over a month before the wedding, he even spent 2 hours with us the day before the wedding perfecting the rehearsal with all of our wedding party. Dave was also very competitive and reasonable with the cost. I almost felt like he did us several "favors" and spent extra time with us, at No additional cost. I truly feel that he actually cared about us. Not only that, Rev. Dave has an amazing personality. He is very witty, funny and even made it enjoyable. He had our guests feeling comfortable and even laughing. Dave is an amazing person and a true Gem of a Pastor. He is very smart, knowledgeable and I feel that he really goes above and beyond to really get to know his clients and wants to do whatever it takes to make the Bride and Groom happy! If you want a Pastor that is reasonable, takes it to another level, and goes above and beyond with a great sense of humor....then Reverand Dave Hillburn is your guy!

Reverend Dave was absolutely amazing. He helped us with everything, even our marriage certificate. He went the whole 9 yards and everyone loved him. 10 stars!!

We were so excited to book Reverend Dave! First/ only video call with him went fantastic. Booked him and he told us we were written in on three calendars and that we would be meeting a few times before the wedding to go over script etc. We got to around 3 weeks out from our wedding and we were concerned we hadn’t heard from him yet so we reached out.. crickets… Both of us had a bad gut feeling so around 4 days later we let him know we wouldn’t be needed him as a family member got ordained to do it. He never reached back out to confirm the cancelation or anything. We joked that our reverend ghosted us after we sent the deposit. We knew this wasn’t in his character as he has tons of 5 star reviews so we even checked the obituaries to make sure he didn’t become a real ghost! Bummer he seems like a great guy.

Reverend “Uncle” Dave is absolutely incredible. He was great from start to finish and is with you every step of the way. He continued to make things easy for us during a busy time trying to plan the wedding. We don’t usually write reviews but Rev D was definitely worth it. His experience, humor, and lightheartedness was perfect for the moment. We fully recommend you choose him for your wedding and he knows how to keep it short, sweet, and with a little bit of glitter.

Our guests were left in wide-eyed utter shock as Rev. Dave danced his way down the aisle dressed as Colonel Sanders of chicken fame. There were many double-entendre chicken references made throughout the ceremony that elicited more than a few chuckles from the crowd. Everyone certainly left with the feeling of having just witnessed an event the likes of which they had never experienced. It was our goal to have an event that was a celebration of two people joining as one. We did not want a traditional wedding, but rather a FUN one. I think all in attendance would agree that the mark was hit.

Rev. Dave is amazing, he accommodated our last minute wedding and made it so very original and special. Highly recommend for your special day.

Dave was great from start to finish. Responded to initial inquiry super quick, flexible with setting up a easy zoom call to speak with us, sent us everything we needed to choose wording for our ceremony (because we had no clue) and most importantly was perfect on our big day! He was great to address our guests, he made people laugh, he was loud enough for all to hear and spoke clearly and eloquently. In the beginning of our planning we had no idea what we needed or wanted. We had gotten married during COVID and weren’t sure about wording and so on. Dave made that part of our planning a breeze! And again, he was everything we hoped for on our day. Thank you so much Reverend Dave!

Dave took pictures of our Daughters wedding, November 20, 2021. The person that was to have the pictures developed let us all down. These pictures have disappeared from internet access. I contacted Dave and asked if he could help me, my plan is to give them a picture for their Anniversary. Dave was gracious and spent many hours working with me. I now have the pictures and can choose the one to give them. I truly appreciate Dave for his professionalism and caring enough to help the Mother of the Bride to have pictures of her Daughters Wedding.

Dave is fantastic to work with, very easy going and he is able to write something for your wedding that fits your specific wants/needs. We were impressed with the initial interview building report with us and he had great energy. The follow-up calls were great being able to refine what Dave was able to write for our ceremony. Rev Dave was awesome he had such a great personality was really fun to work with. Going into this we really didn't have a good idea of what we were looking for. But he guided us through the process on how we wanted to phrase things and what was important to us. The marriage counseling was really helpful for us as a couple, but it also allowed us to get to know him better before the big day and visa versa. Highly recommend.
