My husband and I decided to go with Rev. Gary for our wedding ,and we are both very happy with our choice. Gary was incredibly patient and walked us through the process of what would be our first marriage. Gary assisted us with all our questions and any hiccups that arose through it all. There would be no better choice for an officiant for your wedding.

We had attended a friend's wedding that Gary did the ceremony for and when planning a wedding he was the first person who came to mind for our officiant. Working with Gary was a great experience - he always had examples and ideas for us to really make our ceremony our own. Gary prepared for our ceremony so carefully. He started the preparation early, had a few calls with us to learn our stories. and iterated the wording multiple times. He also embedded our personal stories very well into the ceremony to make it very special. In addition, he provided other guidance / advice on how to organize the ceremony and other logistics aspect. My husband and I were very hesitant about hiring someone to help us with our ceremony. We originally planned on having a friend or family member perform the ceremony. However, after uncalculable conversations, we soon realized the investment in a professional was the only route to fully encapsulate the proper tone of our ceremony. THE most important part of your special day is the ceremony, hands down, as the ceremony sets the tone for all the festivities to follow, as well as your next chapter. After much research, my Mom found Reverend Gary through Google searches and thank goodness! You cannot put a price tag on meeting someone like Reverend Gary, he is THE BEST! A major "must have" for us was we wanted to personalize our ceremony. Time and time again we attend weddings where we feel the verbiage is predictable and the readings are outdated. We shared our hopes and dreams with Reverend Gary and he was in complete support of our ideas and truly brought them to life. Several times throughout the process we revised drafts and spoke on the phone, which created a sense of indescribable comfort leading up to our special day. From the very first meeting, which we left on cloud nine, and we knew this was the perfect fit! The ceremony was everything we had hoped for and more! Every one of our wishes became a reality and we both walked down the aisle in complete amazement that we got to have our dream ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, Reverend Gary was the talk of the town and our guests were shocked to hear that we had not known him for years. Rev. Gary met with us a couple times & was always fast to reply to emails & messages on the knot. He was very professional and helpful with ceremony details. He gave us several different options for ceremony scripts and let us change any part around to mix and match to our liking. It was a perfect day & Rev. Gary was a vital part in it!!

My husband and I booked Gary as our officiant after reading all the positive reviews from The Knot! When we initially had our Skype call, Gary was so sweet and explained the entire process. He was very professional. Gary goes out of his way to make sure your ceremony is EXACTLY what you want, and his response times were super quick. One week before the wedding, Gary scheduled a call with us to go over any additional logistics and name pronunciation (which we didn't even think of!) The day of the wedding, Gary was terrific. He showed his sense of humor, compassion, and captured our personalities throughout the ceremony. After the ceremony, he congratulated us and told us to expect our marriage certificate in less than 1 week. I 100% recommend Gary!!

My wife and I had an outdoor ceremony in New Rochelle a couple of weeks ago and were blessed to have Rev. Gary Deinstadt as our officiant! When we got engaged over a year ago, we had no idea where to start on our search for an officiant. We reached out to separate couples who's weddings we had attended recently that each had an outdoor ceremony because we really enjoyed their officiants. Turns out they used the same person; Rev. Gary! When we reached out to inquire his services, we were lucky to find out he was available for our special day. He was so easy to communicate with throughout the entire process; he even went out of his way to pack a microphone/speaker set as a backup when our venue had some 'technical issues'. If I could give 10 stars I would. Working with Gary was an absolute joy from start to finish. It was extremely important to my husband and I that the ceremony be personal to who we are as a couple. We go to A LOT of weddings and we didn't want it to feel like any couple could've been standing up there like a plug and play bride & groom. To say Gary captured us as a couple would be a gigantic understatement. We cannot even count the amount of people who asked us "how long have you known your officiant for???? Are you related???? He was amazing!" after the ceremony. Despite having only talked to Gary a few times on zoom prior to our wedding day, it truly felt like Gary had known us for years. Knowing how important it was to us for the ceremony to be unique to us, he asked us to submit a personal story that was meaningful to our relationship and the way he delivered it would've made you think he was sitting right there when it happened 4 years ago. Gary has an extremely calming demeanor and a great sense of humor--- two invaluable qualities that set our minds at ease leading up to our wedding day and set the tone for a truly incredible ceremony. Just 10 minutes before coming to write this review I got yet another text message from a guest telling me how memorable the ceremony was and asking if she could "steal some of the beautiful components" for her own wedding back in Texas later this year. I had to tell her that the large majority of it came from Gary's own suggestions--- everything from the flow, to the blessings, to the unique love letter & ring box ceremony was suggested and customized by Gary to deliver the ceremony of our dreams. If you want a personal, heartwarming and inspiring ceremony that your guests won't forget--- look no further than Gary! You won't regret it.

Early in our process we had a vision of what we wanted for our ceremony but wasn’t sure if possible and how exactly it would work. Our initial conversation with Gary began with him listening and then walking us thru how he can customize the ceremony to meet our needs. The connection he was able to make during that initial conversation and the time he spent learning about us and understand what we wanted added comfort that we had the right person. On the big day, Gary arrived and was immediately welcoming to everyone and put everyone in a good mood. The ceremony was amazing and even better then we envisioned. So many guests asked us where we found Gary, we strongly recommend!

We are so happy that we hired Rev. Gary to be our officiant. My (now) husband and I were very picky when it came to who was going to marry us. We wanted someone that felt genuine and that is the perfect word to describe Gary. During our initial call, we really appreciated that he asked us a lot of questions and took the time to really get to know us. We booked him about a year and 9 months before our wedding date and throughout that time, he checked in on us multiple times to see how we were doing and if we had any questions he could answer. The day of the wedding, he officiated our ceremony perfectly. My husband and I are both introverts and were very nervous and he made us feel comfortable. After the ceremony, nearly all of our guests commented on how much they loved him and how beautiful the ceremony was. In fact, my grandma now quotes things he said during our ceremony because she just loved how he phrased things. If you are looking for an officiant, hire Rev. Gary. He is kind, thoughtful, professional, and cares about his couples. Most importantly, he is very genuine as mentioned above, making the whole ceremony much more special.

Gary was the best! My husband and I got married in September - we met with him a few months before the big day and exchanged a bunch of emails back and forth. Gary had the pleasure of officiating two weddings for us! Our small ceremony with just family in 2020 and our celebration in 2021. Gary was so kind from the beginning. Gary made the ceremony totally customizable and we didn't need to even rehearse because he coordinated everything the day of with our wedding party. There weren't any awkward pauses or someone forgetting to do something, we literally sailed through the ceremony and had zero stress about remembering anything we had to do. I hired Rev. Gary is absolutely WONDERFUL! We used Gary for our 6/20/2020 wedding which because of the pandemic became a backyard wedding. Gary was SO adjustable to all of the changes that we made the ceremony. We were married Thursday, June 25, 2020. After cancelling 3 weddings because of COVID-19 we decided at the last minute to get married at my mother-in-law’s house – just us, my mother-in-law and my sisters-in-law. But now we had to find an officiant. Reverend Gary Deinstadt was ready and willing. Never mind that we are Jewish! It didn’t matter. “Reverend Gary” was as able as he was willing. It was a beautiful ceremony and one that we will not forget. Reverend Gary taught us that we are united in far more than what we think separates us. You would have thought we were members of his congregation – that is how quickly he was able to get to know us and create a ceremony that worked for us. I even got to break the glass!

Gary was tremendous. He took time to get to know us and tailored a ceremony just for us. He was also quite flexible in making our ceremony happen in the midst of the pandemic (of course with proper social distancing). We highly recommend him!!

My husband and I were married 1 month ago today. We had a quick engagement and took no time to pick a reception venue in which we would also have our ceremony. After booking the Crabtree’s Kittle House our next big decision was to chose an officiant. We came across Rev. Gary Deinstadt on The Knot in which he came highly recommended. From the moment I contacted Gary through email the exchanges and promptness were exceptional. He took the time to meet with my husband and I and instantly put us at ease with his calming energy and great sense of humor. He very thoroughly went through the types of ceremony’s he’s done while at the same time listening to our needs and getting to know us. The next day we emailed him to book him on our wedding day! Fast forward to around 6 weeks prior to the big day Gary aided us as we started to finalize our ceremony. He provided suggestions and input which helped us in choosing the perfect ceremony for us. It was important to my (now) husband and I to find an officiant who would provide us with a ceremony that was somewhat religious, personal to us, and spoke to the core fundamentals of marriage. My husband and I were married on May 10, 2019 by Rev. Gary, and we could not have imagined our ceremony any differently. Since we were planning our wedding from MA, we were very nervous when we began searching for an officiant (Perhaps me more than my husband). We had the pleasure of having Reverend Gary officiate our recent May nuptials. I feel extremely lucky to have found him and cannot praise him enough. He is beyond kind, genuine and well spoken. He delivered an absolutely beautiful sermon that was heartfelt but also had the right balance of humor. He is personable, warm, friendly and I cannot recommend him enough! He is in touch throughout the process. He really encourages input so that your sermon is personal and one of a kind. Truly a class act! We are so happy we found Rev. Gary and that he was a part of our forever memory.

Where do i begin? Rev. Gary Deinstadt was amazing in every aspect of the word. He performed an amazing ceremony for us on May 4th 2019. Everything he said was spoken truly from the heart and he personalized everything to be exactly what we wanted. Me and my husband come from different religious backgrounds (catholic/Jewish) and i was so nervous about what we could speak about and what we couldnt, but Rev. Gary really helped ease my mind and everything he said was tasteful and beautiful. Through the whole crazy planning process Rev. Gary was so calm and reassuring that he made it so easy for us. Standing up there that day was scary and we were so nervous knowing so many eyes were on us, but Rev. Gary brought us back down to earth and back to eachother which made it comfortable, not so tense and funny. I would pick Rev. Gary over and over again!!!!!!!!
