Whittney was by far the best vendor we hired for our wedding in September 2022! We wanted as many Black-owned businesses as a part of our wedding as possible. And since we don't have a home church, we wanted to find an officiant that also offered pre-martial counseling so we could build rapport before the big day. We wanted someone to marry us that, well, knew us.  Whittney checked all those boxes and I could feel her energy through the screen! After our first call, we had the best feeling. We felt heard, seen, and listened to. The entire process was seamless and really groundbreaking in our relationship (We will use her advice throughout our entire marriage, guaranteed). But the day of the wedding -- yes, our friends and family complimented my dress and my husband's tux, but every single person said we had the best-officiated wedding they've ever been to!!! The script was handled with care and love and faith; it shined through and we're so lucky we chose Whittney to be our officiant!

Rev. Whittney-Marie was by far our favorite vendor to work with. From the very moment I saw her profile and asked for her to officiate our wedding, I knew I’d be in good hands. She has the calming presence that every human needs at their wedding. My husband forgot the wedding license and he told me that Rev. A Truly Personalized and Unforgettable Wedding Ceremony with Reverend Whittney-Marie My husband and I recently had the immense pleasure of having Rev. Whittney-Marie as the officiant at our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we first contacted her, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and respect. Her informational materials showcased her thoughtfulness, insight, wisdom, and thoroughness, all of which were confirmed as we worked with her throughout the process. Rev. Whittney-Marie took the time to get to know us, meeting with us over Zoom on multiple occasions and sending supportive check-in emails leading up to the big day. We instantly connected with her sense of humor and thoughtfulness. She had us complete questionnaires to understand our love story, allowing her to craft a customized ceremony that incorporated both of our cultural backgrounds—Irish and Filipino—with sensitivity to our feelings about religion. She provided us with a written script of the ceremony beforehand, including the poems and religious scriptures she would read. Interestingly, certain portions of the script were blacked out. She explained that this allowed us to genuinely react to her words during the ceremony itself. We appreciated having the option to read it, but we followed her recommendation and chose not to. This resulted in moments of surprise and joy that were beautifully captured by our videographer and will be cherished for years to come. Rev. Whittney-Marie also wisely advised us not to practice our self-written vows in front of each other before the ceremony. This made our exchange of vows even more heartfelt and moving as we were hearing them for the first time. On the day of the ceremony, Rev. Whittney-Marie's warmth and openness made her feel like a close friend. One of my friends even remarked that she initially thought Rev. Whittney-Marie was one of our friends. In the quiet moment as I was waiting for the ceremony to begin, Rev. Whittney-Marie provided support, reassurance to have tissues at the ready, and words of encouragement and inspiration. We truly felt that she was not just our officiant, but also a cherished guest at our wedding. Her ability to spontaneously adapt and incorporate humor during unexpected moments added an extra layer of joy to our special day. Her quick wit and ad-libbing drew smiles and laughter from our guests, making the atmosphere even more memorable. In short, we’re absolutely elated that we chose Rev. My husband and I had a VERY small ceremony in the California desert in December 2020, with Reverend Whitney as our officiant. We spoke a few times via Zoom in the leadup to our ceremony date, and Whitney asked great questions in order to craft her script for us. She sent it over beforehand to make sure we vibed with everything, and the day of, everything was perfect. She was on time, looked fabulous, and was so gracious and lovely. 10/10 highly recommend.

Rev I do was truly one of the many blessings we received the day we got married ! She spoke with us a few times on zoom and through email to prepare us for the big day and to make sure all the pre-wedding jitters were all clear. She asked if we had any preference on her attire for our wedding day and even gave me a few pointers on things to include for the actual wedding ceremony, which really assisted me a lot with how I wanted the ceremony to go. She was punctual with her arrival time, wrote the most beautiful words that were so fitting with our love story on how my husband and I met and became engaged. She is truly the icing to the sweetest cake that you most definitely will need for your Wedding day to make it all official ! I first met Whittney at a wedding I photographed. I was instantly drawn to her vibrant personality and caring demeanor. She was funny, sincere and delivered the ceremony with a zeal and love that I’d never seen in an officiant before. I assumed she was family because she knew so much about the couples story. After the wedding, I was chatting with her and asked how she was related. Turns out - she wasn’t! She just cares THAT MUCH about her couples that she takes the time to get to know them and curates the ceremony script to fit each couple. In that moment - I knew she was hired. Keep in mind, I wasn’t even engaged yet. But I knew - if-WHEN we got engaged, she was THE ONE. So as soon as we were engaged, Whittney was one of the first vendors we secured. Everyone that met her at our ceremony LOVED her. She is just THAT GOOD. You know those inherently good people - you can’t really explain it - but you just know that you instantly love them? Like your favorite pair of jeans or sweatshirt - the one you’ll always reach for because it brings you comfort and peace? She is that person. She made our ceremony so much sweeter. She made us laugh, cry, laugh some more. Every interaction with her during the planning process was wonderful. Whittney was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took time to personalize our wedding ceremony based on our personalities. She was understanding as well as very personable which allowed us to relax and have fun during our big day!

I'm really sorry to say that Rev Ijanaten did not come through for us on our big day. We had a great first zoom meeting and felt confident initially that all would be well, but the week of the wedding we had still not received the script, she wasn't available for zoom and the day she'd promised we'd receive the script came and went. The afternoon before the ceremony we still had not had a follow up conversation or seen anything in writing and so we had to search for another officiant at the very last minute, which was stressful. I understand that Rev. Ijanaten had had some personal events that had thrown her schedule out that week and she did let us know that after we followed up on where things were at, but after having had the initial meeting two weeks out, to have not seen anything at all the day before was not okay. I ended up staying up the night before my wedding writing my own script. I can see from all the other great reviews that our experience seems to be highly unusual, but for us it was incredibly upsetting. And then to receive only a partial refund was additionally disappointing. The two stars are for the fact that she did at least give us a partial refund, did apologise and say she understood why we had to replace her, and she did suggest a plant ceremony in our initial zoom which we incorporated into the ceremony. I believe that she wasn't intending for things to turn out the way they did but her communication and follow up could have been much better, and I still don't really understand why we didn't have the script earlier when we'd given her the information two weeks ahead.

I love love love Rev. Whittney I ! She was so amazing with us. We didn't get the initially officiant we were hoping for so less than a month out from our wedding date I was frantically searching for an officiant. I feel like it was God's timing because we found the perfect match for us. Rev. I is patient and kind and she listened to us about our vision and helped us with the things we were sure about. I was nervous because it was last minute, but after I wonder what she would have done with more time because our script was perfect for us. She delivered ! The ceremony was better than I could imagine, and we received so many compliments. Our guest were asking , where did you find your officiant , how did you meet her? They thought she knew us for a long time because it felt intimate and personal. Everyone enjoyed the flow of the ceremony and all of the elements. If we ever do a vow renewal I am definitely calling her up, she has become a part of our love journey. My husband and I are so grateful to her.

Where do I begin - originally we thought we wanted a family member to marry us but when we started researching all of the work it takes to be an officiant we realized we needed a professional. I was worried because I had heard so many horror stories of officiants not really respecting the couples wishes for the ceremony. Lucky for us we found Whittney. From start to finish she was such a pleasure to work with. She crafted such a beautiful ceremony for us that we'll never forgot. Also, what was really nice was how much help she was during the rehersal. We didn't have a wedding planner so her expertise was greatly appreciated, and she new exactly what to ask. Whittney really felt like family, and made us feel like the most special couple in the world. I'm so glad she was a part of our big day.

First thing that comes to mind is thoughtful. My husband(!) and I were super busy leading up to the wedding but that was fine bc she was able to create a beautiful service which was funny and unique to us with just a short conversation and a little research on her end. On the day of, I love that she went out of her way to find me to hold my vows for me so I didn't have to flash everyone in order to pull it out. Lastly, as an actual reverend, she's a great choice if you are interested in mixing a Christian service with a modern twist.

Working with Whittney was fabulous. My husband and I planned our wedding from out-of-state, and ultimately had such an easy wedding day because of Whittney. In the weeks prior to our wedding day, Whittney spent time getting to know us so she could gather the perfect details for our ceremony. She sent us a draft script and made it very simple to edit and send back. We loved that it was a collaborate process since the beginning. We greatly appreciated that Whittney was always in communication with us when we reached out to her, and she was very organized in guiding us through the entire process. She even reached out to see how we were going in the weeks leading up to our wedding! For the day of the ceremony, she arrived on time and came prepared. Whittney was great! She scheduled a call with us as soon as we showed interest in booking her to be our officiant. She listened to my concerns, answered all my questions and I even told her all about my soon to be husband and I’s love story. For the people: I could write a best seller short story about our experience with Whittney, Thee Rev. I, do. My wife chose her based on a vibe/energy she felt and my goodness was she spot on!
