Rev Kimo was a blessing preforming our wedding . Beautiful personality. Highly recommend him.
If you’re looking for humor and an excellent officiant, you’ve found your guy! We met him the day of, and he was PERFECT! He’s got a great sense of wit, humor and seriousness (when need be). We adored the conch shell blows along with the traditional Hawaiian vows. Pastor Kimo was able to integrate our own personal vows as well. He is very flexible and gave us a sense of ease.
Wonderful! Provided us with the type of ceremony we wanted, last minute got us candles for the unity candle portion of the ceremony, set it all up on a table so beautifully with shells and leis. He was affordable and on time too!
We loved Rev. Kimo! We had our wedding through Aulani which Kimo is the reverend for any wedding there but you can choose someone else if you'd like. I am so glad we had Kimo because he is absolutely amazing! We only met Kimo the day before our wedding and even though we only knew him for a few hours, he felt like an old friend! The ceremony he performed was so kind and heartfelt, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Everything he spoke about had meaning behind it which made our ceremony even more special. He did an absolutely wonderful job. Thank you Kimo!
Our planner booked Rev. Kimo so we didn't communicate with him directly before the ceremony. But we loved his Hawaiian style ceremony with Pu Blowing and blessings. He kept the whole ceremony warm, easy and lighthearted. Thank you for creating such a special memory.
Kimo was outstanding. I would strongly recommend him for anyone having their wedding on Maui.
We so enjoyed having Kimo perform our ceremony! He was lively and engaged during the ceremony. Kimo seemed to truly enjoy marrying us and we enjoyed his spirit and attitude. Kimo was very sweet and funny!! Thank you Kimo for making our ceremony so personal, fun and special!!
I have known Rev Kimo for a number if years and have always recommended him for brides that stay in the vacation rentals I manage. When it came time for my husband and I to renew our vows, Kimo did our ceremony on Ulua Beach and it was incredible. I highly recommend him to all brides. Mahalo, Kimo!!
Kimo was nice and fun but there was a lot of extra "showy" stuff after the ceremony that I didn't ask for, I wanted to keep the flow of the evening going but he took A LOT of time after the ceremony for signing the certificate and trying to be funny. He is very nice and personable and gets the job done but I wasn't asked for any input on how I wanted it to go, I wanted it "short and sweet", like less than 10 min and it dragged on for almost 30. Too much for us. Also difficult to communicate with... I sent a confirmation email the day before and his response was so vague I wasn't sure he would show up.
Kimo was so sincere and emotional while marrying us. He had a great happy, loving spirit. The right amount of love, commitment and fun in his service. You can tell he believes in love and enjoys what he does. He made our guests laugh and we truly loved our ceremony.
Reverend Kimo (James "Kimo" Kirkman)did an amazing job for our ceremony. We did not want anything religious or overly Hawaiian style and he obliged with flying colors. He was entertaining, funny and sentimental. He combined the best of everything to make a beautiful and heart felt ceremony for us. He made it personal and not cookie cutter. He is so friendly and warm and makes you feel comfortable during one of the most nerve wrecking times and set both the bride and groom at ease. You can choose between ceremony types and the different outfit styles he wears. Truly a great choice for the officiate.
Reverend Kimo did a great job at our wedding in Maui. He was prompt and very organized. He does a traditional ceremony with conch shell and a Hawaiian prayer. He was funny and laid back which we really appreciated. The only reason I took off one star is that he forgot that we hadn't written our own vows and almost pronounced us husband and wife too soon. Despite that little slip, we would definitely pick him to marry us again!
Reverend Kimo Taylor was just remarkable, his message very true to us as the bride and groom. We didn't knwo each other- but the program and message was true based on a survery we took and also the meetings we had prior to the wedding- if you are looking for a true Hawaiian and someone that was genuine and sincere and loving- Kimo Taylor is your Reverand!!
Rev. Kimo created a wonderful experience for myself and my husband. He integrated his wit and charm into our wedding ceremony, which put us at ease. He is a truly kind person and it shines through in his work.
