etting married back in my hometown of Salisbury, NC. One of the first things that stood out to me was how before officially hiring him, how thoughtful he was in letting me know to get our marriage license as soon as we arrived back home. No other officiant I talked with had mentioned this point. He was also so kind during our phone conversations, which helped me feel confident that he was the right officiant for us. I wanted an officiant who would not be so boring that he put our guests to sleep, but also was not trying to host his own comedy show. Jay was the perfect choice. He was warm, engaging, funny and professional. Our guests loved him, and so many people asked how we found him. Many were shocked when I told them we found him online! Jay’s ceremony preparation form was simple and easy to complete, while still allowing him to get to know our story and preferences. We opted for more traditional-style vows, and he did an amazing job bringing our story together in a meaningful way. He also incorporated all of the traditions we wanted to include with such ease, including bowing to our parents to represent my husband’s Korean culture, a handfasting ceremony, and jumping the broom to represent my family’s cultures. I would dare say the whole process was almost too easy! Thank you, Jay, for helping make our special day so memorable, meaningful, and special.

But from the day I found Rev Jay until the day of our ceremony he was professional, true and took absolute amazing care of us. He was as prepared as he said he would be, and he even provided ideas for us on the big day. We had a small wedding, and he included our parents in the blessing of the rings. They truly valued the chance to do that, and I am so happy he thought of it and ran it by me that morning. He kept us smiling, laughing, and crying throughout the ceremony. It was even more joyous than we could have dreamed of, and his uplifting words and sentiments will keep our hearts full forever when we look back on this day. He is the best and one of the most important choices you can make for your wedding. I am so honored that he worked with us. He really won us all over, and we will appreciate his part in our perfect day forever.

My husband and I were married on 06-06-2025 this year, and every time since, when I've spoken to one of my friends or family members, they ALWAYS mention how much they just loved Reverend Jay Bowman. I have to highly agree. Mr. Bowman is a professional who shows great poise and precision, with so much soul and emotion in each of his words. Im not alone in saying that he felt just like an old friend or part of the family. You can NOT go wrong with making him a part of your wedding day, so if you're contemplating... don't think, just do... best decision we made and had so much fun I wish we could do it all over again.
