I wish that your feelings would have been exercised in an email to me alone a lot sooner then a month later.  I believe that a more intimate exchange of your feelings was warranted given how hard we worked on your ceremony together, my being with you and your family several hours even before the ceremony started on your wedding day, and the care that I took while you were experiencing your unfortunate melt down.  I believe, that I may have helped you NOT to "stew" in your thoughts, if you would have picked up the phone to call me or email me without having to share in a review, which I believe is coming from of how your wedding day was kind of uprooted by the way you reacted to your family situation right before you walked down the aisle. You left your guests seated outside in the cold and wind for 25 minutes before you collected yourself and decided to go on. Not cool. Even Guy, the owner of the Davenport and Mike, the maitre d' who I have worked with many times, could not believe the atmosphere that was created by having your guests wait out in the cold for close to 25 minutes while your Aunt tried to talk you down. As for your misconceived notion that I would say the blessing of the meal...I NEVER said I would stay for the reception, and I was not aware that I was even invited.  YOU NEVER ASKED! I always stay only for the cocktail hour and make that very CLEAR when I first meet with all my couples.  You never asked me to open your reception with a blessing, because I would have said no to you!  You assumed and were wrong. In my years of officiating hundreds of weddings, I can count on one hand how many NON family receptions that I have attended.    As for the mispronunciation of your name Stephen, that was done ONCE, and yes, that is more than enough.  I MUST have said your name Stephen no less than 75 times that day, and if I miss pronounced the way you like it pronounced, even once...I apologize.  ONCE, in the freezing cold and wind, that I could not even turn the pages of my book., but that is not an excuse. That being said, you chose to give me 3 stars on your miss perception of what you thought you asked me to do.    You could have spoken to me about your disappointment, or you could have just said nothing..... nothing about the way Stephen likes to be called "Stef-AN" as opposed to "Steven".  75 times or more, and you fault me for the once?  And for calling my name to do a blessing, even unaware that you had not even asked the DJ to look for me prior to the start of the reception to get me prepared. Really? Do you see my point here?  I will continue to hold you both in the highest light. Too bad, you could not have done the same, but to now have that  "scar" of a less than stellar review because of the way you thought things should have gone down, especially in light that your review is the 1st REVIEW EVER, less than 4 stars that I have received, is in my book, a mirror of how imperfect you made your own day look because of the way it started before you walked down the aisle. Victoria, your bridal party and especially your Aunt were very engaging with me, polite and fun. And I thought we all had a wonderful experience together.  I hope in the future if you are less than happy with anything in your life or lives together, that you will take the time to approach each other or anyone else to speak with them, face to face instead of voicing an opinion that was less than Christian in a public forum.  Remember there are three sides to every story:  yours, mine and the truth.  The Truth always sets us free.  (John 8:32) Much happiness together,
