Marcia was an excellent officiant for our elopement! Our families could not stop talking about what a beautiful ceremony it was, and she was so personable and empathetic throughout the entire planning process. Marcia was a wonderful officiant! She was very responsive to all of my questions and worked with us to create a ceremony that was personal and meaningful. She sends out a comprehensive wedding survey to make sure she knows all the details that help make your love story unique. She had a clear process to ensure everything went smoothly, from the vows to the legal paperwork. On the day of the wedding, she delivered the ceremony beautifully and made us feel at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! It is also a plus that Marcia is incredibly experienced— she officiated my husband and my wedding this summer, and she also officiated my sister and her husband’s wedding 10 years ago!

As a whole, my husband and I appreciated the thought Marcia put into our ceremony. The ceremony itself was well put together, funny and romantic like we hoped it would be. Unfortunately, several things during our time working with her made us disappointed. Firstly, she cancelled and rescheduled our pre-ceremony meeting at least three times. My husband and I work fairly busy and not super flexible jobs, so finding a mutual time we could all discuss things prior to our wedding was difficult and became frustrating for us. Second, our wedding ceremony was going to be held outside rain or shine. My husband and I thought we communicated that very clearly to all our vendors, guests, and wedding party. We are not sure if that point was lost the day of but it did rain for our entire ceremony. Unfortunately, Marcia reads the ceremony she has written off of a tablet. The tablet screen ended up getting very wet and she was unable to continue to scroll and use what she wrote. She ended up using my husbands tux sleeve to wipe off the rain during the ceremony. She also lost her place and ended up repeating a small portion of the ceremony as she transitioned to her cell phone to read the remainder of the ceremony. What was supposed to be a 20 minute ceremony turned into well over 40 minutes. During the readings portion of the ceremony, she actually stopped and asked my husband and I if she should continue with the readings or stop. When neither of us said anything, she did continue with the last reading and ultimately finished the ceremony. Finally, I found out from several of my bridesmaids a month after our wedding Marcia told them they could not use umbrellas during the ceremony per my request. I was never asked about my thoughts or opinions on the bridesmaids holding umbrellas during my ceremony. If I was asked, I most certainly would have preferred my bridesmaids at least attempt to stay dry in the pouring rain after spending hundreds of dollars and hours of their time on hair and make up the day of. Overall, my husband and I appreciated the thought and uniqueness of our ceremony that was created by Marcia, but we were disappointed with how the above points were handled.

Marcia is the very best at her craft. I would not recommend anybody we chose for our wedding more than Marcia. She is your calm on a whirlwind wedding day. She is organized, well spoken, and has the kindest heart. She was made for this job. If you want a beautiful ceremony, Marcia is the perfect person for this day.

Marcia was amazing!! She was so great to work with through the whole process! She helped us to customize our wedding ceremony exactly how we wanted it to be with some religious components but also unique to us. She helped guide us every step of the way, which made everything go very smooth and relieved a lot of stress so we could enjoy our wedding day! Marcia was an absolute professional to work with. She came prepared and had no judgment for any alterations we wanted to add or change to the ceremony. Rev Marcia was amazing! She was extremely thorough with our ceremony! We live out of state, so we had a zoom call to "meet" us. We talked through things, made changes and on the day of our ceremony, it went perfect! Felt like we had known her our whole lives! Such an amazing day, and she was a huge factor!

She really did poured her heart into the ceremony and guided us throughout the entire wedding. She has an amazing soothing voice that everyone falls in love with and is also very kind and personable. Every parent, grandparent and member of the wedding party received clear direction and gentle coaching from her, and she was ready to provide subtle ques and encouragement throughout the ceremony if anyone got lost or forgot their next step. We couldn't have been in better hands! Our ceremony was everything we wanted and there were a lot of happy tears. Many guests spoke with me throughout the night about how they'd never attended a more moving, heartfelt ceremony. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and wonderful officiant than Rev. Marcia! She graciously spent time with us before we selected her and we knew she was "the one". Later, she met with us for over two hours to get to know us and learn our love story. She compiled all of the information into our custom-designed service; it flowed well and was exactly what we discussed. She was responsive with any changes or questions we had. Our guests commented that it was as if she knew us personally since the beginning of our relationship (13 years ago). What we appreciated the most about Marcia was her kindness. She's very intuitive and compassionate, and she LISTENS. She will design whatever sort of ceremony you can imagine; as religious as you want (or not), and she provided creative suggestions for readings, ceremonies, etc. from her 20+ years of performing weddings. Our indoor event was small (only 14 guests), in a venue Marcia was familiar with. We had no coordinator, and no rehearsal but on our wedding day, Marcia kept us on task and made sure we knew what was happening and when. We originally considered having a friend or relative officiate (to save some $) and we cannot emphasize enough how glad we are that we went with Marcia. Her professionalism and experience far outweighs the money that could be saved by laying this enormous responsibility on a friend or relative. After all, what is the most important part of your wedding? It's the ceremony (not the cake, the food, the music... ) We highly recommend Marcia - you will not be disappointed!

We could not recommend Reverend Gloria and My Best Ceremony enough! We had our perfect wedding ceremony all thanks to Rev. Gloria. A few months before our wedding we completed a questionnaire and met with Rev. Gloria to discuss what we envisioned for our wedding ceremony and to get to know her and for her to get to know us better. Rev. Gloria wrote the most beautiful, personalized ceremony for us- all of which we were able to read beforehand which was great to make a few small changes and gave us peace of mind for the day of. Rev. Gloria ran our rehearsal and made sure everyone knew what to do and expect the day of. On the day of our wedding, the ceremony was so beautiful. We spoke to Rev. Gloria on how we are more spirtual than religious, but still wanted a serious and loving ceremony, and it was exactly this. We loved how personalized it was to us and really is a memory we will cherish forever. We received soooo many compliments from friends and family on how Rev. Gloria did such a nice job officiating and how it was so perfect. Many said how it one of the most beautiful ceremonies they have ever seen. Additionally, even though Rev. Marcia did not officiate our wedding she made sure to check in the day before and day of to make sure everything was all set to go. Thank you so much Rev. Gloria and Rev. Marcia!

It was really important for us the have a ceremony that was non-religious and she provided a beautiful ceremony with those restrictions. she was very accommodating, professional, and friendly. made everyone feel welcome.

Marcia was in a word, remarkable. Her experience and self confidence made her easy to work with and made all the people in the ceremony feel comfortable. The most important to us, and the most commented on part of the ceremony was how Marcia told "our love story". Later, the entire audience commented on how beautiful her words were. Our service included our Poodle (Ciao Bella) and our twin grandsons. They were to walk the isle and present the rings. To say Marcia was challenged was an understatement. When the Poodle (handler) was not handling the dog at the most important time, Marcia calmly turned a canine miscue into a loving, cherished moment by all. Reverend Marcia was recommended to my husband and I by a close friend. We wanted someone who could share our love story while also incorporating a few prayer and messages about love and marriage. If you are looking for a charismatic and personal officiant to make your day special, Reverend Marcia is your lady. From the moment we spoke on the phone, Marcia made sure that each and every part of the ceremony was planned according to our love story and our preferences. We made it a priority to invite Marcia to our rehearsal dinner and reception so that she could be a true part of our wedding day. Rev. Marcia Boyer has participated in three major events for our family. The first was the marriage of our daughter, Jenny, to the love of her life, Matt in 2014. Since then, she has performed the Christening for both of their children, a son and a daughter. Each ceremony was unique, personal and fitting for each occasion. At the wedding, Jenny and Matt professed their vows using an oathing stone. That theme was carried forward to the Christenings, where each guest giving a wish for the child using a blessing stone. It was a pleasure to work with Rev. Marcia in planning and implementing each of these special occasions. She is a very special person and I can't thank her enough for her support and guidance.

We had a great experience with Marcia. She was so nice and genuine. I had a a lot of compliments on our service about how real she is. You can tell that she actually loves her job and has been doing this for a long time. Not going to lie, she is a little bit on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for!

Better late than never, but on my first anniversary - I have been reflecting on my perfect wedding day and realized I forgot to do this! I was considering having a family member conduct my ceremony, but met Marcia (and her photographer daughter) at a wedding show at Lake Lawn and immediately felt their warmth. My husband and I just got married late September. After some discussion, we decided a church ceremony was not for us. We hired Marcia a WEEK before our wedding. Our original officiant fell through last minute due to an injury so I contacted Marcia through this site and she called me back within an hour. We had already had a wedding ceremony written up with our original officiant and Marcia had no problem using the same ceremony. She came to our rehearsal, took charge and really set our minds at ease! Her voice is so calming and she made sure every single aspect of the day was planned out so that no one had to question anything. You would never know that everything was last minute. What a wonderful experience!! They were so helpful and answered all of my crazy questions I had about how the ceremony worked and was suppose to go, they drafted a beautiful ceremony script, and even stayed to mingle with our guests a little after the ceremony! Our officiant Ann was so personable and genuine and really cared about who we were and how we came to be. They really helped make our special day special!
