She was instantly warm and welcoming, and took the time to learn about who we were as individuals and as a couple. Her ceremony script captured our relationship from the get-go, and she was patient and thoughtful in incorporating our suggestions and edits. We liked that her approach was focused on personalizing the ceremony to who we were, so that even though she hadn’t met us in person yet, it didn’t feel like a cookie-cutter ceremony. Her questionnaire was thoughtful and thorough, and served as an excellent starting point for customizing the ceremony further. We never felt rushed or pressured to finalize the ceremony quickly, and were so happy with the final edit. Now on to her presence on the wedding day - Mary has the most welcoming presence, and our guests really loved hearing from her. She was timely in her arrival, and also worked quickly to finish the paperwork and mail it by the very next day! She was also very patient in answering our questions about getting the marriage license, what comes next, etc. Long story short — Mary is an incredible officiant, and you won’t be disappointed! She’s really good at what she does, and she made our big day all the more special.

Mary was very intentional about asking what words, phrases, and quotes that we were comfortable with (use of the word god vs other phrasing, nothing of a subservient nature) which I appreciated greatly.
