Rev. Nick was incredibly easy to work with. He was kind, respectful and made us feel at ease with the planning process. He was also very organized with the options we had available for our ceremony which made the planning process go very smoothly. We were blessed to have him as part of our wedding.

Rev. Nick was a fantastic officiant for us. He was charismatic and charming, and very professional. He did a great job of finding the right tone for our ceremony—pretty traditional, but lighthearted and joyful. We had lots of communication ahead of time, including an in-depth questionnaire, emails, and a Zoom meeting, to capture every detail of what would be done and said. Working together on such an important task felt very natural, even though we’d only just met! We felt our ceremony reflected our personalities and values perfectly, and that was thanks to the care that Rev. Nick put into the planning.

Rev Nick was everything I was looking for in an officiant and more! Book him! Nick was so open to make our ceremony exactly how WE wanted it. It was important to us to incorporate stories of our family history and significance of our ceremony location. Nick never pushed back on elements we wanted to add and worked through a several drafts of the ceremony to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I wanted a mix between a spiritual and traditional ceremony, which he nailed. I was overall just really impressed with his flexibility and the care he put into personalizing the ceremony to suit us. Nick's demeanor and presentation style was exactly what I was looking for. He has a very kind presence and speaks with confidence and sincerity. Since we didn't have a preacher available that we had a current relationship with, it was important to me to find someone that felt like we had a long standing relationship with, and someone that looked like a preacher, as silly as that sounds. He nailed it. I had so many compliments in the weeks following our ceremony on the ceremony and Rev Nick specifically. I can't imagine our day without him!

Reverend Nick was an absolute dream to work with! He was kind, organized, and responsive when we needed. He allowed us the opportunity to fully customize our ceremony, and really made our day feel so special. I could’ve have dreamed up a better officiant for our wedding 💕

...just WOW! Rev. Nick was truly incredible. Not only was he the most communicative vendor we had, he was the most professional & friendliest. Nick helped us nail down our entire ceremony months prior, and made sure we had all the final edits in a revised version so we could sign off on it. We will 100% recommend him to any and all of our friends wanting to tie the knot. Both of our families (who fall on the religious end of the spectrum) loved his style and warm spirit, and all of our guests (who mostly fall on the secular / some spiritual side) also found him to be an amazing officiant who helped capture our style and lead us in love. Nick really pays attention to detail & what we as people wanted, and he delivered as a true professional, but also kept it extremely personable. Nick even showed up for our rehearsal dinner when his wife was bitten by a copperhead the night prior. Of course he made sure his wife was ok beforehand, but if that doesn't show commitment, I don't know what does! All of that to say, if you DO choose Nick, you will not be disappointed one single bit. He is the real deal and was such a pleasure to work with. Thanks again Nick for your genial personality and dedication to your craft, it was such a memorable ceremony ^_^

We are so happy we had Reverend Nick as our officiant for our wedding at the Biltmore Estate Conservatory. He was so easy to work with and helped us through the process. He answered all the questions we had so our ceremony was exactly the way we wanted it. He was also very nice and friendly which eased my nerves and made me feel comfortable during the wedding ceremony. Everyone enjoyed meeting him and we couldn’t have been happier having him!

Rev Nick and his wife are absolutely the sweetest people and we couldn't have asked for a better officiant! They tailored our ceremony to us perfectly and I honestly couldn't imagine it having gone any better than it did, it was truly a special occasion. Reverend Nick officiated the wedding of my sister and her fiancé in December and the ceremony was nothing less than magical. He managed to convey what was really important to the couple in ceremony that was both spiritual and religious. I hadn’t met Rev. Nick prior to the ceremony, but he touched me with his words and I could feel the love he had for them as well. He was incredibly sweet and kind! I highly recommend Reverend Nick to anyone out there looking for a great experience.

Reverend Nick was great to work with. My wife and I contacted him on somewhat short notice to see if he would conduct a vow renewal ceremony. Luckily he was able to fit us in his schedule! We couldn't have chosen a better person to officiate our wedding than Reverend Nick! Even before the event, he made planning our ceremony easy and enjoyable. We emailed back and forth during the months leading up to our wedding, and he made sure that every detail was exactly to our liking. Because of COVID, we were looking to have a small inmate wedding with just friends and family. When looking for someone to officiate, we were hoping for someone who was professional and also very personable and made us feel like we had known them for ages. Rev. From our first phone call, Nick was very personable and easy to talk to! After only a few minutes in, both of us felt like he was able to connect with us as a couple--something that had been lacking during our search for an officiant. Throughout our conversations and during the planning process, he made us feel at ease with kindness, humor, and understanding. We have religious backgrounds but wanted to incorporate some of our own interpretations and personality with those traditions. Nick was great at guiding us through this. During both the rehearsal and ceremony, Nick had a calming presence that made us feel prepared and comfortable. We highly recommend Nick!

Nick was amazing to work with! He was quick to respond to e-mails, and more than willing to work with us on the ceremony. He provided pages of inspiration and quotes for us when we indicated we needed help. On paper, the ceremony that we came up with was beautiful, but what he added was the warmth, heart-felt goodwill, and spirit that it needed on the day. Many happy tears! My husband and I didn't have to do anything or corrale anyone after the ceremony because he took care of the license, then let us know when all was done. We have a recording of the ceremony, and many of our relatives have requested copies! I HIGHLY recommend Nick! Rev Nick was wonderful contacting my daughter and her groom multiple times before the wedding to get to know them and their desired style. He let me ( bride's mom) alter the service a bit to throw in a surprise prayer for the couple. He easily chatted with the nervous groom as we waited for the service to start, he used his prayer stole to join their hands which I loved and just generally had the most pleasant personality. I really felt he loved what he does and was happy to be a part of my family's special day. I absolutely recommend him!

I am so glad to have chosen Elope Outdoors for our weeding. This incredible team made possible a perfect day for us. We planned everything with them by email since we don’t live in Asheville, and the communication was so easy, clear, fast and friendly. Cassie made sure that all the details were planned, checking the weather and the park openings days before our wedding, and due to a park closure, we had to change the location, issue that Cassie resolved immediately. We really did not have to worry for anything, and we had a total stress-free weeding, just like we wanted. Rev. Nick officiate the ceremony. He is so nice, friendly, and sweet, that I felt that I know him from a long time. The ceremony was so memorable, he made a very special moment for us, offers a lot of options for a ceremony style, and he included all the details we wanted, making a smooth and romantic experience. Now I had Maddie, last but not least, out photographer. She is the best photographer I have ever met. Her work is impeccable, the quality of the pictures is from a luxury magazine, she make us looks like actors from a movie. The photos are from heaven!!!!! So worth it. And on top of that, she is so sweet and nice person, easy to talk with, she made us feel so comfortable, that we not being persons that like be taken photos, we even enjoyed the photo sessions. We laughed and relaxed by the beautiful moment in that amazing landscape. I expected to have professional people working for my wedding day, but this go far and beyond, above all kind of expectations. Thank you for my dream day!

Rev. Nick is one of the most friendly people we had the pleasure of working with for our Indian/American wedding. He was very communicative throughout the planning and leading up to the ceremony. He gave us great pointers on fine tuning the script we had prepared for the ceremony. The ceremony went flawlessly and we were glad to have found him to officiate our wedding. Michael and I were absolutely thrilled with Rev. Nick McDonald. From the hiring process, to the day of our wedding, his demeanor with us was top notch, professional, and he always kept things light when I was a nervous wreck. It made it all that much better! We had to plan our wedding in a shorter period of time, when both of us came down with Covid. Even through that, Rev Nick was so patient with us while we experienced the "Covid fog". When we met w/ him regarding details over video chat, it was as if we'd known him forever. He made us laugh, and we were completely reassured that we had chosen the right person to officiate our wedding. We would absolutely with 100% certainty recommend Rev Nick. He was thorough, made the ceremony steps seamless, and was fantastic!!!

Nick was the best and made our ceremony absolutely amazing and personalized. Despite the disruption from my barking dog, the cold temps, and the pandemic, he made everything light-hearted and fun, while maintaining composure and being extremely professional. We LOVED working with him! He sent us many options for quotes, readings and vows and also sent us a questionnaire so that he could get to know us and make sure we had a complete say in our ceremony. He also sent us a couple of drafts of our ceremony before we finalized it. He even brought his own microphone (per our request) for our ceremony since it was outdoors! Highly recommend.

We couldn’t have have dreamt of an officiant more perfect for our wedding than Reverend Nick. My husband and I have differing religious/spiritual beliefs, but share a deep love for nature, family, friends, and our pets. Reverend Nick so carefully and patiently worked with us to create a ceremony and vows that were meaningful to each of us and to our families. In mid-November 2020, we were blessed with a beautiful, sunny, warm(ish), yet windy day. Reverend Nick married us on a grassy hilltop in Banner Elk, NC surrounded by breathtaking mountain views — a last-minute change from our our originally planned indoor location — which he took in stride! And speaking of taking things in stride... our very energetic 80# Chesapeake Bay Retriever ‘puppy’ was part of the wedding party. Reverend Nick handled him and all his bounding & blunders like a pro. Reverend Nick is warm, patient, flexible, humorous, and reliable. We highly recommend him if you’re seeking the same!

We could not have asked for a better officiant for our winter elopement! Nick braved the freezing temperatures, high winds, and a moderate hike in order to marry us in the perfect spot! He also indulged my love for Outlander and all things Scottish/Irish and added a "hand-fasting" portion to our ceremony! He was very accommodating to all of our requests for the specifics of the ceremony and was extremely helpful for any questions we had! I honestly cannot say enough good things about him, and I would highly recommend him for your ceremony!
