My husband and I could not be more thankful for Sandra. Since I was brought up Jewish and my husband Catholic, the officiant topic was not an easy part of our wedding planning. We were lucky that Sandra was available and helped us only one month before our wedding date. She was the perfect person to orchestrate our service, meeting with us for several zoom calls and making sure we were comfortable with what was being said at the ceremony. Everyone in the audience said she was magnificent and her voice was the most calming and romantic. I highly recommend working with Sandra for your wedding ceremony!

Words cannot express how special our wedding ceremony was. To be completely honest, we were initially shell shocked at the price for an officiant … but this was not based on any research and I will say it was worth every single penny. If you are looking for a personal, thoughtful and impactful ceremony … Rev Sandra is your officiant. She listened to our love story, our weird intricacies and made us feel comfortable and safe being so vulnerable with her. Sandra was a wonderful officiant for our wedding ceremony this year. Her energy from the first time we spoke matched exactly what we were looking for. Sandra helped us craft a ceremony that was just what we were looknig for - a balance of funny and serious, reflected our love of nature and the mountains , and even found a way to to incoporate our dog who we sadly had to leave at home. Hiring Rev. Sandra was by far the best decision my husband and I made throughout our wedding planning process! The ceremony was very important to us and we had a specific vision for how we wanted it to be - meaningful but still succinct, spiritual without being overly religious, humorous but still keeping with the gravity of the moment, and most of all thoughtful and personal to who we are as a couple. Rev. Sandra checked all of those boxes, and then some! She took the time to really get to know us over lengthy (and fun!) zoom calls and ended up writing us the ceremony we always wanted. She effortlessly got to the core of who we are, both individually and to each other, and turned that into a ceremony that really spoke to us and all of our guests. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! Her delivery and presence were impeccable and it was a true joy to stand up there and be married by her. We absolutely adore her.

It was my first inter-religion wedding that I attended and it was phenomenal to see that both aspects where intermingled seamlessly. I personally really liked the ring blessing ceremony which was so intimate and made guests feel involved in the couple's big day.All in all Rev Sandra was very inviting and warm.

There words "I have been to a lot of wedding and that was the most special ceremony I have witnessed". Sandra was so personable and really got to know me and my husband as a couple. Rev Sandra is a master at capturing heartfelt moments. She worked closely with my husband and I to create a beautifully unique ceremony that was nothing short of "us." There was nothing frivolous, every ritual and reading had profound meaning to the two of us. My husband is from India and I am from upstate NY. Sandra diligently explored the possibilities on how we could create a ceremony that was fun, modern, and heartfelt and simultaneously incorporate Hindu and Christian elements. After the ceremony, guests from both sides commented on how well Sandra captured and blended rituals in a way remained authentic to the diverse traditions. We loved how on top of that, she designed a ceremony that highlighted my husband and I as two unique people with our own special love story. I can't possibly imagine anyone else leading us on our happy day.

Sandra was a joy to work with! We had plants to get married in upstate NY but when Covid hit our plans quickly changed. We met with Sandra over Zoom which was a very enjoyable and easy experience. Sandra was very flexible and worked with us throughout the process. She was able to put into words our vision for our ceremony and make it feel intimate as we only ended up having immediate family. The ceremony was everything we could have hoped for it to be and more!

We eloped, and we could not have asked for a better officiant than Sandra. She really captured what we wanted in our small intimate ceremony. Furthermore, she was very responsive and adaptable when planning the ceremony. She shared a poem and gave us a heartfelt toast! Can’t thank her enough!

We initially met Sandra in 2020, when we decided to have a small, immediate family-only wedding during the pandemic on our originally chosen date in September 2020. After first thinking that we would have our small ceremony in New York City, where we live, we started doing some searching for officiants and came across Sandra. We communicated by email, set up a time to talk over Zoom, and immediately felt so comfortable and at ease in Sandra’s warm, supportive, and honest presence. A few weeks into planning our ceremony together, we decided that we actually wanted to do this upstate in the Catskills, an area that is dear to us after having spent a lot of time camping there on weekends together. We asked if Sandra would mind driving a few hours out of the city to accommodate us and, as it turns out, we all love that area and it worked out. Sandra helped us plan an intimate, special ceremony in 2020 that included beautiful readings, Sandra’s reflections on marriage, and our vows. We got married under a maple tree in Olivebridge, NY with Sandra officiating and only our siblings and parents present with us. It was beautiful and sacred and something that we will always remember. Sandra helped guide the way for us in terms of highlighting what was most important to us in this ceremony and speaking from the heart. Our families absolutely loved this ceremony and had so many wonderful things to say about how Sandra led the ceremony and married us. We wanted to celebrate with all of our friends and family as initially planned pre-pandemic and we pushed back our bigger wedding until June 2022; we had the incredible good fortune of being able to work with Sandra again during this time to craft a renewal of vows ceremony. The whole process of working together leading up to our renewal ceremony was so inspiring and rewarding. Sandra took the time to meet with us many times again over Zoom and we filled out a detailed reflection/questionnaire that Sandra has developed for her couples with so many thoughtful questions that helped us learn more about what our marriage means to us and also helped Sandra better understand us. We thought about readings, the flow of the ceremony, the tone, religious traditions, and so many other important details together. Sandra had so many creative ideas about symbolic rituals and readings to incorporate and she helped us learn about aspects of ceremonies which were new to us. Sandra was always easily reachable throughout the whole process and we always felt supported both in planning and in our pre-marital reflections. On the day of our June 2022 vow renewal and marriage celebration, our ceremony was so beautiful. From the readings that the three of us had selected together to Sandra’s thoughtful words throughout, it all felt so meaningful, true, and personal to us. Every guest who we talked to was in awe of Sandra in terms of her tone, delivery, messages, and connection with us and our friends and family. We will always remember this ceremony as it truly was so meaningful and special to us. Meeting Sandra has been a gift. Sandra crafted two beautiful wedding ceremonies for us that were moving, personal, and important to us in terms of what matters most to us in our marriage. Our wedding was anything but typical - my husband and I had been together for 16 years before we “tied the knot” and then we did it virtually, on Zoom. Our witnesses were in different homes, our parents in other states, and the groom didn’t want a ring. Did any of this stump Rev. Sandra? Not for a moment. We talked on the phone, met on zoom, exchanged ideas for the ceremony. Initially we had planned to have our wedding ceremony at city hall, yet due to the pandemic we pivoted and decided on a zoom wedding ceremony for our closest family and friends. For our ceremony(ies), there was no other choice but Rev. Sandra Bargman. We have been working with Sandra to prepare our ceremony for our joyous May 2020 wedding with friends and family. As COVID-19 unfolded and we made the responsible but difficult decision to postpone our large ceremony, we felt compelled to retain some magic and celebration on our original May date. Sandra met our desire head on by designing a beautifully unique, physically-distant/virtual ceremony. Sandra in all her creative power executed a day that, despite our major shift in plans, photos with gloves and face masks, and a novel virus transmitting across the globe, simply, could not have been more perfect, precious, or us. To top it off, she incorporated multiple elements into our May ceremony that will be expanded upon when we can safely celebrate with all friends and family. I have known Sandra since we first met in high school and got to know each other during drama and musical productions there over 40 years ago. We have not seen each other in the thirty years that I have lived in Europe, but knowing that she is a passionate interfaith minister who presides over weddings, I turned to her for suggestions for my wedding ceremony. She took time to talk with me and then provided me with inspirational ceremony texts, which my husband-to-be and I used to craft our personal ceremony. As my husband is from Germany, and we had English-speaking and German-speaking guests, we found a lovely way to have a bilingual ceremony. Sandra was not able to be here, but my sister-in-law, Carolyn, who is an ordained Presbyterian minister, and my good friend of many years, Julia, presided over the ceremony. Carolyn had the primary role and spoke in English, while Julia spoke the same text translated into German. Our outdoor ceremony was in the sculpture garden of the park where a well-known local artist used to live and work. My uncle walked me down the path to the center of the circle where our guests among the sculptures of the park stood in a large half-circle to witness our ceremony. It was beautiful, personal, and meaningful, thanks very much to the words and ideas we began with from Sandra.

I really cannot say enough good things about Reverend Sandra. It's extremely rare to find someone who is genuinely interested in getting to know you holistically - what you love, what you hate, what inspires you, etc. Meeting Sandra truly was the very best thing about our planning process. She not only became a very fast friend, she took our vision and created a ceremony that was completely shaped around who we were, as individuals and as a couple. We were so fortunate to have found Sandra to officiate our wedding! Sandra has been supremely professional and thoughtful every step of the way - from our first conversation, through working on our ceremony script, to our wedding day, and post-wedding follow-up. She made time to meet us in person ahead of the wedding day to walk us through what to expect during the ceremony. On the day of, Sandra arrived at our venue well ahead of time to alleviate any worries for us. As neither of us enjoy being the center of attention, Sandra’s calming presence was exactly what we needed ahead of our big moment. For our ceremony script, we chose one of Sandra’s pre-written pieces (with some customization). As Sandra assured us, these scripts were timeless and profound in their beautiful simplicity. Several of our relatives commented how true our ceremony was to our relationship even though it wasn’t written specifically for us. As for delivery, Sandra has a gift for creating intimacy in an open space and drawing in the audience. From her work in performing arts, she understands the power of stage presence through voice and body language, but also knows how to moderate it for a deeply personal spiritual event. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Sandra and we are grateful for having met her!

Sandra was absolutely amazing officiating our wedding. We had a bit of a late start finding an officiant and she was recommended by our venue, Crooked Lake House. She was super responsive as soon as I reached out and within a few days of our initial conversation we had an in-person meeting so we could get to know each other. I felt like she really took the time to understand what we wanted and didn’t push us one way or another regarding the ceremony. My husband and I are both pretty laid back people and we both wanted something short and sweet. We did not have anyone do any special readings nor did we want to write our own vows. Sandra wrote everything and let us make any edits or suggestions that we wanted. It was amazing how well she was able to understand us just by our first meeting and filling out her questionnaire. We had Sandra at our rehearsal as well and she really walked us thru everything we needed to know. Rev Sandra came to us through a recommendation from my sister. We wanted something simple since this is a second wedding for both of us. Sandra completely surprised us by speaking our vows in Polish! Sandra delivered a great ceremony! We had heard Sandra speak at another wedding and knew that she had to be our officiant. She paid attention to detail and was always available. Sandra has a very calming presence and made us feel comfortable with the entire process. She did not just read directly from our questionnaire, she took the time to create a personalized ceremony. Sandra was able to incorporate our overall vibe and tone into a beautiful ceremony and guests raved about the ceremony. Reverend Sandra Bargman performed our wedding ceremony on May 21st. Though I had never met her in person prior to our wedding day, our numerous phone conversations and email correspondences made me feel extremely comfortable with her performing our wedding ceremony. She took the time to really get to know us and the history of our relationship. She took our ideas, and our love of the beach (where spent our first date, and where my wife asked me to marry her two years later) to create a beautiful sand ceremony that included my teenage children, and made them truly feel apart of the day. She was extremely responsive and it was obvious from our first communication that she cared about creating a unique experience for us. She considered every detail, including our opinion on which robe we would like her to wear. We had forgotten to purchase something, and she even went to the store for us so that we could great our guests. Our ceremony was “unconventional,” memorable, and heartwarming. Both of our families come from different religious backgrounds. So we were looking for a reverend that could help marry us outside of a traditional church. Sandra Bargman not only met this need, but helped keep the content spiritual and appealing to both our families. We definitely made the right choice when we decided to have Reverend Sandra Bargman officiate our wedding at the Crooked Lake House in Averill Park, New York. I initially thought it would be difficult to choose an officiant without meeting in person, but I was wrong. My husband and I were able to “meet” Sandra through video chat and it really felt as though we were sitting in the same room with her. We quickly became very comfortable speaking with her and greatly appreciated her genuine interest, compassion, and understanding. We could tell that she was committed to helping us make our vision for our wedding day become a reality. Without me asking, Sandra came up with a unique idea for my brother to be included during our sand ceremony. It meant so much to me and it is one of my favorite memories from our wedding. Living in Columbus, Ohio, we decided in April that we were going to get married on a trip to New York City in June. Rev. Sandra could not have done a more perfect job. We are so incredibly lucky to have found her to not only perform our ceremony, but also help us find our own voices in the process. Sandra provided the most unique wedding experience ever. Unlike other officiants who interview you for an hour then deliver the same standard wedding ceremony with a few sentences about the bride and groom, Sandra really got to know us, She truly cared and asked questions about how we met, what valued about each other, what is important to us and the essence of who we are and what we wanted in a wedding ceremony. She has amazingly creative ideas, works tirelessly to present an impressive work of art and brings tons of positive energy + calmness + can-do anything attitude. We got tons of compliments about how special the ceremony was - even from guests whom we'd figured were too traditional to appreciate her. My new husband and I could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding than Sandra. She's really wonderful at what she does and she's also just a lovely and graceful person to work with. Sandra was the perfect person to help us design a ceremony that was truly "us." Neither my husband nor I have strong religious ties, but nonetheless we wanted our wedding to be meaningful and to signify what the day meant for us. We really appreciated her approach; our initial meeting was in a cozy pub, and we found that though we're both fairly introverted people, it was very easy to open up to Sandra. She followed up with a detailed questionnaire that we filled out together, which asked us about our love story and encouraged us to think deeply about the things that we love about each other. This material essentially became our wedding vows, which were just perfect - this was a great process that allowed us to come up with personalized vows that we would have struggled to write ourselves! The ceremony included special personalized rituals that Sandra helped us come up with (a beautiful handfasting ceremony, honoring our parents with a bouquet of flowers, and toasting to loved ones who couldn't be with us). Our wedding guests were coming up to us all night telling us how beautiful and touching the ceremony was - even guests that we didn't know so well commented that we were a really lovely couple and they could tell how much we love each other. I credit Sandra for really showcasing this, because that's what it's all about after all! Sandra is a great "performer" in that she has a lovely voice, a calming presence, and the ability to make the crowd both laugh and cry. But I hesitate to use that word because you can tell that she is genuine and she really cares about the couples that she marries. You really can't go wrong because Sandra is all about designing a ceremony that reflects you as a couple. I'm forever grateful to her for making our day so special!

My (now) husband and I were having a very hard time finding the right person to marry us; no one seemed to be the right fit, and the ceremony was the absolute most important part of the wedding for us, so this was very troubling. Through some recommendations online we finally found Sandra and met for coffee; within 10 minutes of our meeting, we knew she was perfect! She's an incredible listener; she's very spiritual and super open. We booked her on the spot and never regretted our decision. My husband and I are both writers, and so we wanted to be very involved in the ceremony construction. We had no idea where to start though--until Sandra sent us an incredible questionnaire with deep, thoughtful, detailed questions that really helped us to think through our past, present, and future together. From our answers, Sandra crafted an incredibly personal ceremony and sent it back to us with plenty of time for us to add, cut, make suggestions etc. She is EXCELLENT with feedback (so many people aren't!) and really wants to work WITH you to create the perfect ceremony. We sent the draft back and forth several times, and yet she never seemed inconvenienced or annoyed to be working "overtime." She seemed just as excited about our union as we were! This is clearly not just a "job" for Sandra. She really cares; she even wrote a poem herself based on our relationship and all of the details we'd told her about our lives together! In addition, she came up with some beautiful symbolic union rituals that worked for us, since we didn't want sand mixing or a unity candle. Instead, she found us a "heart stone" (a beautiful rock in the shape of a heart that she both found for us and gave us as a gift!) and created a passage based on how rings are created from rock as linked to the earth that joins us. It was beautiful! She also bridged our interests in Quechuan mythology, Spanish culture, and mountains with our traditional Christian backgrounds in a way that sensitively weaved old and new, sacred and profane. She had wonderful comic timing and incredible ideas for how to incorporate our parents. The rehearsal day was very stressful for many reasons, but as soon as Sandra got there, I felt like we were in perfect hands. She was early; she helped organize everyone; and she asked all the right questions. The wedding day was practically perfect. As I'd hoped, the ceremony was the best part (for me, anyway). Dozens of guests rushed up to us at dinner to tell us how our ceremony was the best they'd ever been to! I couldn't believe how many people commented on the ceremony, since usually that's the "boring" part, but SO many guests asked where we'd found Sandra and how we'd constructed such an amazing ceremony. We weren't really sure what we wanted for our ceremony when we started, but we did know that we wanted Sandra to officiate. Shawn and I had the good fortune to meet Sandra through a friend long before we ever planned to get married. After being together for 17 years, Shawn and I suddenly decided to tie the knot. To our surprise, we learned that our new, warm and funny friend, Sandra, officiates weddings! It couldn't have been better. We are very glad we selected Reverend Sandra Bargman to officiate our wedding. She created and confidently performed a very personal, loving and beautiful ceremony. After several phone conversations and emails earlier in the year we met with Sandra and two other potential Ministers in March when we made a planning trip to New York City in advance of our June wedding. We live in Atlanta so it was important that we use the time wisely while we were in New York. We were fortunate that we liked each of the Ministers with whom we met on that trip but we felt a special bond with Sandra. While this was clearly the most important and most personal of all the wedding decisions we had to make we felt confident enough to make the decision on the spot and asked Sandra to officiate our wedding ceremony. We absolutely made the right decision. During that March meeting Sandra asked questions and listened carefully to all we had to say about ourselves, our 26 year relationship, our families and our hopes and plans for our wedding. Later when she wrote the words she would be speaking at the ceremony she incorporated all the pertinent and personal details we shared with her that day. The ceremony was wonderfully personalized and we had a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was attended by 65 family members and friends. It was held outdoors on a beautiful terrace seven stories above Broadway, overlooking Times Square. We had discovered the terrace when we first met 26 years before. While the venue was very special to us and the view spectacular it is the loving, personal and beautiful ceremony that we will always remember.
