From the start, it was very clear that Ben is extremely passionate about what he does and we instantly knew we were in great hands. He is personable, funny, and professional. We were so excited to hear that Ben Hickey was available for our wedding date, especially after reading all of his amazing reviews—and he truly lived up to them! We wanted our ceremony to feel sincere but not cheesy, and we wanted it to be a true reflection of us and our love. Ben took the time to really get to know us, even driving into Manhattan to meet us at a diner. He joined us for a meal, listened to our story, learned about our interests, and took notes on exactly what we wanted for the ceremony. On the wedding day, Ben was incredible. Before the processional, he warmed up the crowd with a mini stand-up session full of jokes, which our guests still rave about! He takes his time getting to know you to ensure a bespoke ceremony crafted just for you. Ben also emails you a convenient guide on how to write your vows (or selected readings to choose from), and all of the nuts and bolts when it comes to filing and picking up your marriage license/certificate. He also comes to your rehearsal and it was great to see how he mingled with our family and friends! We were married on 8/30/24 and so happy we had Ben officiate us on our special day. Months before the wedding, Ben met with us at a local diner to get to know my husband and I, as well as provide all the information needed about ceremony formalities, options to choose from, and the marriage licensing process. He really personalized our ceremony to us and made it better than I could have dreamed of. We learned after our wedding that before the ceremony started, he asked guests to make sure all aisle seats were full in an effort to make our pictures look great- how amazing is that?! He engaged with our guests and had them laughing; we received so many compliments about Ben. He is very outgoing and you can tell he has a true passion for what he does. We are so happy we found Ben and booked with him.

Ben met with us a year ahead of time to get to know us and to give us all of the information we needed. He provided us inspiration for readings, personal vows, poems, standard vow sayings, etc. We did first look letters, so we did not do personal vows at the ceremony, but he offered to proof read our first look letters to make sure tone and length kind of matched which was super helpful. He crafted the ceremony to be funny, meaningful, and to truly fit us. All the guests loved him and commented on how great he was! He was SUPER informative on everything that we needed to consider including ceremony logistics, marriage license process and name change process. Ben is the absolute best!

We loved how enthusiastic and passionate Ben was from our first meeting all the way to our wedding ceremony. He took time to get to know us and made us feel very comfortable right away. He guided us with planning our ceremony and making sure we knew exactly what to do every step of the way, from applying for our marriage license to walking down the aisle. Ben is absolutely wonderful and you can tell how much he loves his job. He provided us with a wide range of information ranging from writing vows to filing a marriage license. Also, he went above and beyond to make sure he was able to attend our rehearsal dinner, despite having a wedding earlier that same day over an hour and forty minutes away. He kept the ceremony light and added an element of humor, which we appreciated.

Ben was amazing from start to finish. His guidance is above and beyond. He was funny and personable and we received numerous compliments from our guests- we all loved him!!!

Ben Hickey insisted that we meet him in person for our first meeting and it was immediately clear how much care he would take in our ceremony. We spent two hours with him at breakfast just talking about our relationship and what we were looking for in our ceremony and I felt like I knew him forever. He then helped us with our vows, any questions we had about the ceremony, ring boxes, readings, etc. and then delivered the most amazing, personalized ceremony. Ben even incorporated a last-minute ring blessing and prayer for my religious dad. He told us he has officiated 3,000 weddings and he is really an expert. I can’t even tell you how many people it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever seen.

I cannot say enough great things about Ben! He is just the sweetest and kindest person and did an amazing job officiating my wedding. He was so helpful in advising on the legal process of marriage and getting our marriage license and handled all the logistics for us after the ceremony. He was accommodating with Zoom calls when we could not meet due to living out of state and he went out of his way to try and make our rehearsal dinner the night before despite his very busy schedule. If you need an officiant, Ben Hickey should be who you hire!

We couldn't have asked for a better officiant. Our ceremony was at Nanina's in the park, in Bellville NJ, where he's a recommended vendor. He had so many suggestions on readings and extra details to make our ceremony as unique and special as possible. I received a lot of compliments after the wedding on his service, and he definitely kept the crowd entertained. He took the time to meet us in NYC at a diner near our apartment to learn as much as he could about us as well to make the ceremony personalized.

Wedding was on 11/21/2022. LOOK NO FURTHER! BEN HICKEY IS YOUR GUY! TRUST ME! Punctual! Professional! Kind! Patient! Funny! Just a few words to describe him. Ben Hickey is everything you're looking for and more in an officiant. From our first phone call, I knew he was our guy! He walked us through the process and sent helpful information about our vows, and readings to choose from. Our zoom call was my husbands first time speaking with him and he was sold! Our guests couldn't stop speaking about him. They described him as hilarious, and engaging especially since it took me some time to make it to the chapel. During this time he kept the guests entertained and they loved him! He also offers to participate during rehearsal. He's worth every penny. I will recommend him to anyone getting married in NJ!

We found Ben after coming across several glowing reviews from fellow brides. Ben not only lived up to but far exceeded our expectations. He took the time to meet with us at a diner when we first reached out to book with him. We spent the afternoon talking about so many things and really felt he got to know us as a couple. I remember my now husband leaving the lunch and saying how great he felt after meeting with him. Ben came to our rehearsal lunch and our families were just smitten with him. He had everyone laughing the entire time and our bridal party was so impressed with him. The day of, Ben knocked it out the park (no surprise there). Rev. Hickey performed my sister's wedding, and I really appreciated how friendly and easy going he was, how he was so attentive to helping the wedding party relax by reassuring them of his help, and how he made it fun. I was lucky to be able to assist him in leading the ceremony.

We are so happy we hired Ben as our officiant for our wedding. We met up with him at a diner, and he took the time to get to know us and our love story. At first I was worried that since he is a reverend he might push us to have religious aspects thrown into the ceremony, but he was totally chill about us wanting none of that. Our ceremony was everything we hoped it would be. He had people laughing and crying, and it was short and sweet. Several of our guests came up to us afterwards asking how we found him (thank you facebook bridal groups). Rev. Ben Hickey came highly recommended by pretty much any bride I spoke to and now I am also one of those brides. Ben really puts his all into every wedding he does and takes true joy in what he does, you can evidently see it all over his face. He met with us in a diner for roughly 2 hours and really got to know us, he came to our rehearsal and got to know us more and our friends and family, and he obviously came to the wedding and spent time getting to know more of our friends and family before the ceremony started. We received a million questions from friends and family on how we found him and how great he was and we couldn't agree more. Besides everything he attended and made wonderful, he was also so helpful when it came to planning the ceremony and even the marriage license and certificate process. Rev. Ben is the best officiant there is and we highly recommend him!!!

There is literally not enough space on the internet to write about how great it was to work with Ben. Our family and friends were literally brought to tears by both his humor and his meaningful words during our ceremony. He had a mixed faith ceremony (Jewish and Presbyterian), and Ben helped us create the wedding we had envisioned, offering great suggestions and honoring every one of our requests. Ben is also super helpful with the steps on obtaining your marriage license, which was so appreciated. He even came to our Rehearsal Dinner the night before to meet our close friends and family. Ben will keep your guests entertained while waiting for the ceremony to start - so many people told us he was making them laugh the entire time leading up to us walking down the aisle. He will exceed all of your expectations! Ben really helped calm our nerves and reminded us to take in all of the moments because it really is such a special time. We will never forget all that Ben did for us.

Reached out to Ben because our township isn’t doing municipal court weddings right now and couldn’t be happier. Ben made the process so easy, answered all our questions and had such a perfect simple ceremony prepared without much help or input from us… He made our small ceremony so special and we couldn’t have picked a better person to officiate our ceremony. Oh my god, is all I have to say. Ben Hickey is 1000000% the best officiant you could EVER ask for. Where do I even start. We initially met with Ben and spent two hours talking over dinner. Within the first five minutes, my husband and I both knew he was the one. He makes you feel like you have known eachother forever. Fast forward to our wedding rehearsal & wedding, and all I can say is perfection. He guided us every step of the way, and made our entire ceremony a moment we will never forget. Again, literal perfection. Not only were guests raving about him, but our venue was too. Everything was seamless. Ben is the most genuine, down to earth soul you will ever meet. He loves love, and loves what he does & it truly shows. It’s hard to put into words when something is so perfect, but this man is. We want to get married all over again, because of Ben. Rev Ben Hickey is now part of my family, I don't make the rules. When you are that good at officiating a wedding and make everyone laugh, cry, and have the best time at a wedding you're automatically family status. Ben met with us before we officially booked with him for breakfast. Over the 90 minutes he asked us so many thoughtful questions, took pages of notes, and made us feel so at ease. He tailored his wedding ceremony for us perfectly. Helped my cousin come up with an incredible reading, send us pages and pages of helpful tips on writing vows and getting our marriage license. We also emailed him our vows the week of the wedding and he made sure they matched in length, tone, and vibe. He came to our rehearsal and was so helpful on the actual wedding day including reminding us not to kiss before the end, looking at each other, walking slow, holding the flowers correctly, you name it. I love him and I want to get married 10000 times just so we can have him do it again and again. Look no further if you need an officiant. He's the only one worth considering, if you ask me. Reverend Ben is nothing short of amazing and has married my husband and I twice (civil wedding and then later for reception among family and friends). We first met him from a friends wedding and immediately were drawn to his presence. He’s an amazing human being and very patient getting to know us personally in our home and then carrying us through the hardships getting through the pandemic, up until the big day. He’s offered nothing but his never ending support and has made our most cherished memories more special. Can’t thank him enough!

Before postponing our wedding due to COVID, my husband and I met with Ben at our local diner and had such a great time getting to know him. Fast forward to our wedding day in 2021, Ben created such a beautiful and unique ceremony that was so memorable. From the readings to the vows, our ceremony was perfect! Ben is a close family friend of ours. He has done over 3,000 weddings and is phenomenal at making people feel at ease. During our wedding he incorporated many small details about my husband and I that we quickly mentioned in one of our meetings. Those personal touches really elevated the wedding ceremony itself. I love Ben. He created a beautiful ceremony for us at Nanina's in the Park having only met us a few times due to Covid. I can not say enough about Ben. I found him as a referred vendor when I was planning my wedding at the Park Chateau a few years ago and as a wedding vendor myself, I recommend no one else. He is by far the most genuine, amazing person and is by far the world's best officiant. Even if you only have time to speak with him for an hour or so, it's as if he has known you for years. Your guests will actually wonder if he is apart of your family when he officiates - that is how amazing he is at what he does. He makes your ceremony personal and special, and designs it the way YOU want it. He has since married my husband and I, my cousin and her husband (who were interfaith) and believe it or not - my grandparents (on their third wedding!). He even was able to put together a service for when my grandfather passed away last year and he truly made even the most difficult of moments special. Look no further - you've found your officiant!

Ben is absolutely amazing ! I was at first very skeptical on all the reviews because it seemed to good to be true. He had nothing below a 5 star rating ... so I can personally testify he’s well worthy of it. His schedule was super flexible, accommodated us with our last minute changes, always available to answer any of the questions my husband and I had. He’s amazing ! We vouche for him.

Reverend Ben Hickey is amazing. I needed an officiant very close to my wedding date, my previous officiant couldn't make it, so I reached out to rev. Hickey & he was so informative and professional. He had another wedding to attend but referred me to another officiant who he has worked with and he was great. He is the best!

Ben is THE BEST. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He officiated our friend's weddings in 2017 & when we got engaged he was the first vendor call we made. He really takes the time to get to know each couple & he seems like he genuinely enjoyed it. He is so detail oriented, responsive throughout the whole process and he is SO easy going. I personally do a lot of work with Ben being that I am in the wedding industry so I knew how great he was long before even getting engaged. He listens to you, understands, makes suggestions and helps as much as he can with all your planning questions. He will make the ceremony as religious or non-religious as you are looking for and will make your guests laugh during the ceremony a few times! He helps us at our rehearsal and the bridal party instantly fell in love with him too. He makes the process so easy and smooth that everyone feels comfortable because, let's face it, not everyone is super comfortable walking down an aisle with all eyes on them! The day of the wedding he was super early to the ceremony and preformed a ceremony that made our guests laugh, cry, but most of all, feel the love my husband and I share.
