band! :)) and I met with him at Panera to get to know each other a bit and for him to explain his process of creating the ceremony. He started with a general outline, then asked us for our opinions and we tweaked it to get it exactly how we wanted. After that meeting, he emailed us examples of wedding readings and vows. We each selected one piece to be read, then created our own vows. He offered to help/guide us as much as we needed.
At the rehearsal, he took the lead and made sure everyone knew exactly what do to/where to be. He was so reassuring and comforting, I was not worried about the ceremony itself at all. The next day, the ceremony went perfectly, it was exactly what we wanted and we felt so much joy and love in the room! Jay's attitude/style/personality fit very well with us, he spoke clearly, and it didn't feel like a stranger was marrying us. area and that didn’t work out so we were scrambling. I called and left a message which he returned promptly and met later in the week and felt so very comfortable with him that we knew we didn’t need to keep looking. I was so wrapped up in other areas of the wedding that I never took the time to think about how I wanted the ceremony to go but what he presented to us was absolutely perfect since it didn’t sound boring! He provided us with samples of reading and vows which helped tremendously. I found a reading that was so perfect my husband was jealous because he wanted it. He could find anything else and asked Jay if he has anymore which of course he did and provided very quickly. My husband ended up going and finding a reading of his own but that didn’t happen until the day of our rehearsal. So we definitely pushed the envelope on this one with our timing but it all went off without a hitch and was so wonderful I couldn’t have asked for it to be better!

My wife and I don't belong to any certain faith, so we didn't want to get married in a church by a minister. Jay has the ability to command people's attention, while not stealing the spotlight. He focusses that spotlight on the most important people in that room--you and your families. He goes far beyond the extra mile to make your day as special as it can be. I witnessed this with my own wedding and several others I attended, which he officiated. There are givers in this life and there are takers. Jay is a giver of the highest order. I'm glad to have him as a friend and very happy with how he treated and perform what was the most special day of my life.
