Katherine is an INFJ, late-blooming lesbian, neurospicy sweetheart, non-habitual yogi, admissably talented violinist, pet mom, pizza lover and spiritual seeker. “I am an observer of people. I often spend my daydreaming hours thinking about what we’re doing here and how we find meaning. Maybe that’s why I’m so good at my job. Equal parts people person and hermit, I love my weighted blanket as much as I love bad karaoke. I am the kind of friend who at one moment is offering you a cup of tea and reminding you to look after your heart, and belly laughing with you over a beer, the next. I am a sucker for travel, the outdoors, a good day planner and meaningful conversations with kindred spirits. I am a self-professed blazer connoisseur, Sagittarius, reformed horse girl, writer, and recalcitrant romantic. If you lose me at a party, you can find me wherever the music is the most irresistibly danceable. Speaking of dance, I found my creative and spiritual groove through the practice of ecstatic dance and other forms of improvisational movement. For me, embodiment and the deep pleasure that comes with it are my way of connecting with the divine. I believe that affirming and celebrating pleasure, in the face of all the ‘logical’ reasons to turn to cynicism, is a radical act, and I am passionate about using words to do so. There’s nothing like the magic of a perfectly apt phrase to really make a moment, story, or experience come to life. My M.O. is a cross between your most say-yes-to-anything girlfriend and that one guy at the bar who writes his most brilliant poems on the back of cocktail napkins. I am a Gemini, a serial cat fosterer and a down-to-earth human. I am someone who will lend you an ear in times of need or just keep you on your toes with one of my many stories. Most of all, I love meeting new people and hearing their life stories. I’m a bit of an adventure seeker, so I enjoy going on hikes, trying new restaurants, or just traveling any chance I get. If I’m not out looking for my next adventure, I’m usually just cuddled up on the couch with my wife and pets, probably watching reality TV. Katherine was absolutely amazing. She spent time with us, getting to know what we wanted in our ceremony as well as getting to know us personally. She is incredibly sweet and responsive. I was nervous about standing in front of a crowd but Katherine made it all a breeze. So many people came up to us at the reception to say what a great job she did! We are so thankful Katherine made our ceremony perfect.

Reverend Katherine was hands down one of the best parts of our entire wedding day. From the moment I saw her officiate my cousin’s wedding, I knew she was the officiant for us. She was kind and flexible in the consultation process; she was more than willing to work out flying from the DMV to do our wedding in SWFL. Her consultation process was like talking to a friend; she spoke to us for about an hour without us even having to commit with a deposit or a contract and that showed me everything I needed to know about her dedication to her work. She is funny, an incredible listener, and empathetic. I knew that she was processing everything we were saying and that it was all going to be considered. Sure enough, Reverend Katherine’s ceremony was full of little details that we forgot even telling her because we were just so comfortable talking with her! Between the consult and the Google form, Reverend Katherine had everything she needed to be caught up on a 14 year long relationship and it showed. She spoke from the heart and it felt like she had been along for the ride over all those years. She matched the energy we had been hoping for and there was not a dry eye in the house. We laughed, cried, and had a trip down memory lane guided by Reverend Katherine. After the ceremony, so many of my guests stopped to tell me how much they loved her — which is the exact thing I did when I saw her at my cousin’s wedding the year prior! If you need a clearer demonstration of Reverend Katherine’s heart and dedication: she stuck around and waited for one of my vendors to run and get the marriage license I left back at the hotel so she could sign it with the actual date and so that we didn’t run into any legal issues later on down the road. Reverend Katherine is not someone doing this gig for the money or accolades — she is damn good at her job but that’s because she loves what she does and the people she works with and it shows. I hope that the next wedding I go to has Reverend Katherine because no other ceremony will ever compare!

Rev Kath was literally one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding. Her personality was a perfect match for us - Rev Kath is so kind, genuine, and caring, with a great sense of humor! We clicked immediately, and she made our day so absolutely perfect and special. I highly recommend doing the Date Night with her - not only did my wife and I get to bond in ways we didn't expect, but we really got to bond with Rev and I think that was reflected in our ceremony (and she is also an Excellent chef!!) We also opted for the day-of grounding ceremony, which was the most lovely start to our day - I'm fully convinced I wasn't stressed at all because of Rev and her grounding! She has such a calming & connected presence and she truly has a special gift for this. Look no further and book Rev Dupree ASAP!!!

We cannot begin to express how glad we are to have stumbled upon Rev through an online search. She is amazing. Rev understood who we were so quickly through chatting with us and this is because of the care and time she put in to asking us great questions so she could get to know us and our story. She is kind, genuinely interested to learn about us and immediately made us feel at ease while talking to her. She took such care in crafting the words for our ceremony. Our wedding was a perfect balance of calm, emotional, happy and momentous. We didn't want a super formal ceremony, nor super romantic (although we're sure Rev would do an amazing job with that kind of ceremony too) - we really wanted to share our story with laughter and light heartedness. Our friends and family could not stop talking about how wonderful our ceremony was and all said it was the most personal and best wedding ceremony they have attended. Katherine was so wonderful and was easy to work with and gave us some samples to help guide what we wanted her to say, as well as a questionnaire for us to talk about each other. In the end, she gave us a beautiful ceremony, which many of our friends and family complimented afterwards and asked us how we found her because they loved it so much. She created a custom ritual for us that was perfect for the moment that involved some favorite snacks.

Katherine was AMAZING!!!!! We had so many people comment on how much they liked her, and her positive and warm energy really set the tone for the entire ceremony. She was definitely one of our favorite vendors, she was so fun to work with and she really went above and beyond to create the perfect wedding ceremony. We chose the semi-custom option and she gave us such a well-written speech, we both cried while reading it for the first time! Also---small but important note, she immediately stepped to the side once we were announced husband and wife, so we could get the perfect photo! A lot of officiants don't do that, so I was really grateful she did. I am such a huge fan of Katherine, and I would HIGHLY recommend her!

Rev was by far the best 'vendor' at our micro wedding. She was on time and helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives! Prior to our wedding day, Kat took the time to get to know us each individually. Her communication was perfect! We hired Katherine for a semi-custom ceremony and had her attend our rehearsal. The entire process was so easy and thoughtful, from the ceremony script to running the rehearsal. Before the wedding, Katherine sent us the ceremony script and we were able to weigh in on what we liked or wanted changed. She had some pre-made scripts to give us a few options to work off of. From there, we were able to collaborate on a couple minor tweaks to make sure it worked for us. Choosing Rev was the best decision we could’ve made. She was a safe space for us when trying to navigate a ceremony that truly felt like “us”. I loved working with Katherine! No other human being on this Earth could've possibly pulled off officiating so elegantly the very untraditional circus of a ceremony we created. Katherine is amazing! She called to meet with me before the wedding to chat and get to know us and what we envisioned for our ceremony. In the months leading up to our wedding she reached out every so often to check in to see if we needed anything. The ceremonies she writes are beautifully written and really hit home for us and our guests. After our wedding, Katherine’s ceremony was one of the main things people said that they loved about our day! During our ceremony, there were a couple of mishaps with babies crying/our sound guy making noises. Katherine brushed right over them on the fly and made sure that nothing was awkward and that attention was still on us (like a true pro). Hire Katherine, you’ll be so glad that you did!

Katherine is the best!! Our initial meeting with her was super in depth and cool. She asked us a ton of questions about our relationship and each other, and then she used all that to compile an amazing ceremony script for us. It was so personal and sweet, and included observations that we didn't even notice about ourselves. I've loved following along on her instagram and seeing how enthusiastic she is about all of her couples. She really made us feel like friends the whole way through. And she took some great snapshots at our wedding, which was super appreciated. She also took care of mailing our marriage license, which had been on my list of things that were stressing me out because we were leaving for our honeymoon right after. And she sent us all the information about how to obtain the license, order copies, etc. It took a lot off my plate having all that info from her. It was super important to us that we hire all queer friendly vendors, and there couldn't be a more queer friendly vendor than Katherine! All around she's just a rockstar and you won't regret hiring her for your wedding. We would highly recommend her any day.

One of the hardest vendors to choose for us, was our officiant. Not because we didn't want one but because we had ZERO idea how to choose. The weddings I've been to in my life, I remember exactly none of the officiants. That being said, I did not want the same for our wedding. There was a common thread throughout our wedding plans-we wanted our guests to leave knowing us a little better. When I saw Katherine's social media and website, I knew she would be the one to keep that thread running right through our ceremony. Y'all, when I say I was right, I mean-not a dry eye in the house right. Katherine took so much time to actually know us. Not only that, she took time to get to know EVERYTHING about us, including my love's young son. She was patient, she listened, and she crafted the most stunning, memorable ceremony. A ceremony that wasn't about religion or our extended family or anything else. It was about us. It was about our story, our love, and our future. I knew as soon as I had the first zoom call with Katherine that she would be a perfect match to be the officiant at the celebration of our perfect match! She was so responsive, personable- her quirky awesomeness and style was just an amazing breath of fresh air! When it came down to the words she wrote for our custom elopement ceremony we had no idea how much she knew about us! It was absolute perfection- silly, serious, passionate…it had it all and she touched all bases (and heart strings). I could not stop watching the video of our ceremony and when watching with friends and family there was no dry eyes! Such a very very pleasant surprise! Reverend Katherine is an absolute gem to work with! I knew right upon meeting Katherine that she was the one we'd want to marry us. Right away she was such a friendly, welcoming individual and you could tell she really wanted to get to know my partner and I as both individuals and as a couple. Where do I even start! We interviewed quite a few officiants for our wedding to find exactly what we were looking for and let me tell you, Rev. Katherine met all of our expectations and then some. From our first interview, she absolutely had me in tears asking all of the right questions and really taking the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. Once we got the draft of our ceremony from her, we were blown away! She captured us so beautifully. We had several friends and family come up to us after the ceremony completely in awe by what she had said. It will be something about our special day that I know we will never forget. She was diligent in making our ceremony and was totally open to all the weird things I wanted. We can't recommend Katherine enough as an officiant. She made our day so special and personal with her beautiful speech. The process of working with her was wonderful. We felt that she took the time to get to know us both as a couple and as individuals. She even spoke with some of our friends in order to get a better idea of what we are like as a couple from others' perspectives. We were blown away by how personal her speech felt; even our family and friends thought we knew her on a personal level since her speech was so thoughtful. It made us very happy that those in attendance felt they got to see our love for each other through her ceremony. Where do I even start to write how amazing Kath was for our wedding? My partner and I both live in Texas but got married in North Carolina. We didn't meet Kath until the day of our wedding but the ceremony that Kath wrote for us was so personal and so beautiful, you would think that Kath had known us forever. I truly think that one of our favorite aspects of that night was the ceremony--all thanks to Kath. If you're looking for a reverend who will make you fall even more in love with your partner as you're marrying them, look no further, Kath is your person. Hire her. Seriously. You won't regret it.

From the first moment we met Rev Dupree, we knew we wanted her to officiate our wedding. She absolutely radiates warmth and has such welcoming energy. Rev went above and beyond— asking us in-depth questions about our relationship and even interviewing both of our parents over the phone. Writing the ceremony was very collaborative and we felt extremely cared for. During the reception, multiple people came up to us asking if the Rev was a long-time, close friend because the ceremony was so unique and personal. It was funny, it was emotional, it was so very us! Katherine is great! She made the ceremony preparation smooth and offered us so many different options without being overwhelming. We really felt like the ceremony was about us and spoke to who we are as a couple. She had helpful suggestions and made sure we kept to our short timeline. I'm glad we had Katherine there with us to help make our day special and memorable. If you are looking for someone who can customize your wedding ceremony to speak to you and your significant other Katherine is the way to go. Her rates were reasonable and easy to understand.

I knew when I first started following her on Instagram that Rev Kath would be a good fit for us. She is friendly and personable - someone you automatically feel is a friend. From the get-go she was very responsive and punctually reminded us of various mile markers on our journey. The ceremony she put together for us was beautiful, intimate and unique - several attendees of our wedding said it was the best wedding ceremony they’d ever been to. And she travelled a whole 5 hours to do it! Could not recommend her enough!

Katherine is a word smith for starters-- she customized our vows with sentimental details and inside jokes that had people close to crying and also busting out laughing. We had such an amazing experience working with Katherine! She officiated our wedding in Raleigh and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. We opted for a semi-custom ceremony & it was perfect. She was able to convey so many details about me and my husband's relationship & made us feel so special on our wedding day. Working with Rev. Dupree was amazing from beginning to end! We had a chat nearly a year out from our wedding to get to know each other and square away preliminary details. We were a little nervous (it was our first vendor meeting!) but she was just so easy to talk to. Definitely put our worries at ease. Y'all, Katherine is the best. Totally open and receptive to everything we asked for, and so down to earth and easy to talk to. TONS of our guests came up to us after and kept talking about how awesome Katherine was through the entire ceremony process. We also opted to do a grounding ceremony before the wedding as we (bride and groom) are easily stressed out, and it was so beneficial for us on our special day.

Rev Kath was truly the best!! It was important to us that our ceremony be short & sweet, but still somehow personal, and she completely nailed it. Reverend Katherine was everything we could have asked for in an officiant. She was courteous, thoughtful, and always made us feel at ease. The ceremony script that she created was personal and resonated with many of those in attendance. We received numerous compliments on the quality of the ceremony; many believed that we must have known Reverend Katherine for years for her to shine such a light on our commitment to one another. In addition to officiating our ceremony, we opted to do the "Gather and Awaken Date Night" which was an intimate and thought provoking experience. Reverend Katherine graciously hosted us in her lovely home and wined and dined us while probing the intricacies of our relationship. The food was delicious, but the insight we received was even more fulfilling. We cannot recommend Reverend Katherine more highly; she is a true gem with wonderful vitality, and we are confident that she will respond with respect, diligence, and effort if you choose her for your ceremony.

We are so happy we hired Rev. Katherine Dupree for our intimate wedding. Rev was amazing, good-hearted, so sweet, and all around the best. We wanted an officiant that we felt a connection with and that was Rev. We were able to meet with her via FaceTime (out of state) to go over the script and finalize for the ceremony. Katherine was so cool and professional for my elopement wedding. She was the very first person I called for my small wedding and I am so glad. I had no idea how to plan a wedding but she really helped me out with great advice and what felt like 24/7 availability. She even reached out to me afterwards offering her help ordering a copy of my marriage license or changing my name. She has a large amount of knowledge and experience applying to what she does. What I found to be so cool is that Rev. Dupree personalizes your ceremony. She has a variety of templates to chose from ranging from traditional to adventurous and will tweak them to meet your taste for your day. I myself am not a traditional person at all so I chose the adventurous ceremony which I was more than pleased with. I found the common language so cool and comforting. She doesn't mind traveling. Katherine traveled about an hour and a half from her home town and hiked up Chimney Rock in order to officiate my wedding. She provides a witness if needed for a small fee which is so helpful. We even went out for some drinks afterwards with some other members of the wedding party (per suggestion of my new husband and I.) I feel like Ive not only gained a husband but also a friend. Reverend Dupree is awesome. 10/10 would hire her again (hopefully I wont need to). 100 % recommend for your wedding / elopement. I couldn't have picked anyone better to do the job.

If you are looking for the absolute best officiant, you have to go with Rev Katherine Dupree. She is an absolute delight to be around. On what could be one of the most hectic days of your life, a calming presence is so welcomed. She is kind, understanding, and cool AF. Can confirm - 10/10 would recommend! She explains everything so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Seriously, she’s the best. Love her. She’s your future BFF - you just don’t know it yet!
