We absolutely loved Revival Sundae & Espresso Bar!! Alyssa and her crew were AMAZING!! I promise, you will not be disappointed.
We found Alyssa last minute about a month before our wedding because we had won a free wedding through a wedding expo, and could not decide on cake flavors. My fiancé is a chocolate person and I’m a light and fluffy out of the box person who hates most icing. We also both tend to gravitate away from cake entirely when picking dessert as he prefers ice cream cake for his birthday entirely and I would drown myself in espresso if given the choice.
We searched and tried way too much cake only to be disappointed again and again, and we weren’t even paying for the cake!! We could have picked something we thought our guests would like and move on but we didn’t love the idea. Then I stumbled on Revival’s page. It was like my guardian angel sent it to me and said look ice cream and coffee!!!
I immediately called my fiancé and said what do you think? It’s like the 2 of us coming together in one truck!? He was like we can go try it. Worst case we hate it and we are right back where we started and no harm done. The truck parks in South End on Sunday so we walked over to talk to them that week and they gave us some samples. It was the best coffee and ice cream I have ever had. It is locally sourced by a creamery in Lincolnton and they use A2 milk which is easier on digestion which was great for me since I’m lactose intolerant- I always carry pills with me but it’s a great bonus as I drink it at home!! We booked them on the spot!
The menu is fully customizable and Alyssa worked with us to make sure we gave our guests exactly what we wanted without going overboard or over budget! She was able to order special ice cream flavors for us that were not available on the truck (for a fee since the creamery charges her to make them) and made sure to communicate the entire time!
Our guests loved the surprise and the venue loved it so much they reached out to use them for future events!! Worth every penny we paid over the free cake!!
