We LOVED having our wedding at the Colonnade at Revolution Mill. It’s a charming, elegant space and is set up to fit either a smaller or larger wedding well. It was super important...
to me to find a venue where both the outdoor and indoor ceremony spaces were equally beautiful - I feel like often spaces don’t have the best indoor ceremony space, but Rev Mill easily fit that requirement. We didn’t have to do much decorating which was great, and the in house catering via Pepper Moon was fantastic - definitely the best food I’ve had at a wedding and tons of personalization available. They didn’t bat an eye when we made requests to accommodate some gluten free guests, and were very flexible with giving us time to decide on indoor vs outdoor ceremony when the week of forecast wasn’t looking great. Sometimes communication could be a little slow, but overall all our questions and requests were answered and we’d have an event there again in a heartbeat.
Revolution Mill is STUNNING and we are so glad we went with this venue. Everyone that works there is so kind and made sure our day ran smoothly.
We loved our wedding at The Colonnade! We really liked how they had catering and alcohol included with use of the venue. There were also a ton of ways to customize your wedding wit...
h add-ons. We toured and booked with Ben and were handed off to Aimee for all things planning. In our experience with her she was not as responsive to emails and inquiries as I had hoped a wedding venue would be.
Although this is in no way a direct reflection of the venue’s stance on the subject, from what I personally understand about the wedding industry, the justification for venues and vendors to up charge for weddings is based on the fact that you are getting above and beyond service over what you would receive for a non-wedding event, but unfortunately I do not feel we necessarily received that leading up to our wedding.
Don’t get me wrong, our meetings with Aimee were great, she was organized, gave us tips and suggestions when we weren’t sure how we wanted to do something, and made sure everything came together in the end. It was just scary, especially in the few months before the wedding leading up to deadlines, requesting information from her and having to wait a week or more for a response and sometimes having to follow up multiple times before hearing anything. For comparison, all of our other vendors usually responded next day to inquiries.
Luckily we did pretty much the bare minimum as far as decor, catering, rentals, etc, so there weren’t as many moving parts as, say, someone who had draping, uplighting, multiple interactive stations, rentals, and things like that. So the times we did have to wait for a response weren’t a huge deal. I have no doubt she had everything under control, it just seemed that maybe there is a need for more people in her position to relieve some of the load off her.
The only thing that really went wrong on wedding day was the chairs on either side of the aisle were not positioned so that the aisle was centered on the window we got married in front of. This is not even something that was on my radar to check and I immediately noticed when while I was walking down the aisle. We did not get to rehearse at the venue so this may have been caught if we had. It just seems like something at least someone working there would have noticed if they regularly set up for weddings in that location. Now all of our ceremony pics are off center lol.
Alex was our venue manager for the day of the wedding. She definitely made our lives easier, working with our coordinator and photographer to keep everything on schedule. She was more behind the scenes day of but she occasionally checked up on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. She was great to work with!
Peppermoon catering was great as well. We went to multiple showcases at the venue where you get to try menu items so we knew the food was good, but we got multiple compliments from guests as well. Overall, I think I would recommend The Colonnade for a wedding, as our experience may have just been a one-off since we did have such a simple wedding, time and attention may have been allotted to other couples with more going on details wise.
We absolutely loved having Revolution Mill as our wedding venue! The location is perfect for guests to enjoy Greensboro, the venue is stunning and really doesn’t require much decor...
ation at all, there is plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready (and for the guys to hang out), and the staff are always kind and accommodating! Several of our vendors were really familiar with Revolution Mill and their staff, which made planning fairly streamlined. As for Pepper Moon Catering, our wedding was almost two months ago and we are still getting compliments on our food!

ntive and world class. Jaime was always quick to respond to our emails and questions and made sure that all our requests were completed. Our wedding day was absolutely special, and our guests loved the beautiful and historic venue space. We enjoyed the wedding showcase put on by The Colonnade because it allowed us to sample the food and to see what decor and vendors we wanted for our wedding. A big advantage of The Colonnade as compared to other venues was that they took care of a lot of the heavy lifting, providing much of the equipment, supplies, services that you would need for a wedding, such as china and cutlery, wine glasses, drapes and lighting, linens, chairs, catering, and a full-service bar. The billing and quotes for our wedding were all transparent, and we felt that we paid exactly what we were quoted with no surprises. The food for our wedding was delicious and received many compliments from our guests. The wait staff were professional, and we loved having Randy as our Event Manager. He made sure that the rehearsal and wedding day themselves ran smoothly and seamlessly. We highly recommend The Colonnade at Revolution Mill for your event or wedding.

inator and is extremely helpful. She will meet you at venue and show you around. She will explain and show you all of the options for ceremony location, bridal and groom suites for getting ready, etc.
Peppermoon catering was also wonderful. There are several packages to choose from and you can mix and match. Very easy to work with and you are given prices up front. There is no surprise at the end of what you are paying
Long and short, Jaime and the Colonnade are an easy pick. Very easy to work with, considerate of your wants and work with you on every aspect of your big day
Revolution Mill was truly the best wedding venue my husband and I could have ever asked for. Not only is the overall event space beautiful, but the entire staff at RM is wonderful....
Jaime was so fantastic to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Any question that I had she was able to answer it immediately and offer advice! The courtyard space is beautiful and was perfect for a fall ceremony. The new bridal suite is absolutely gorgeous and my bridal party and I loved getting ready there the day of the wedding! I truly only have positive things to say about our experience at RM. Thank you so much to Jaime, Randy, and the wonderful staff at RM!! :)

ls is such a beautiful location filled with character and charm. This location will give you many different way to set up and allows for you to have both your ceremony and reception on site. Plus what bride doesn't want to have one of the biggest and most beautiful bridal suites around!! Jaime and Randy are two of the most hardworking, trusting, and understanding people I have met. I felt like my wedding was in the best hands possible with them. There are many times when I had a question or wanted to make changes and Jaime would always respond so quickly which is necessary especially when trying to plan your big day from Charlotte. Looking back at my beautiful wedding I just thank the people that work at Revolution Mills for making my day one that I will always remember.

allergy needs, which helped diminish concern for several guests. The venue held our small reception of 80 and a live band with room to spare. And we never felt too small for the space. The event staff was attentive and friendly. Jamie is as good as all the reviews, making this an even more excellent venue. Thanks Jamie!
This is the best venue in Greensboro, NC hands down! The venue is spacious and needs minimal decoration as it is stunning on its own. We got married here in November in the courtya...
rd which I highly recommend! Our reception was held indoors and we couldn’t have asked for a better staff! Jaime and Randy are amazing! They are readily available as you need them and are very flexible with times. They worked with our budget and gave us our dream wedding! I highly recommend looking at this venue and meeting with Jaime if you are getting married.
Jaime and her team are great! I recently had my wedding here and could not have been happier with the service, responsivness to emails, food, staff, everything! My wedding day was ...

ina while we taught English to university students. Our engagement occurred in China and that means our wedding planning did as well. Jaime was so patient with us and extended a lot of grace to us as communication from the other side of the globe can be tricky (China is 12 hours ahead of the US). The food, waiting staff, and dance floor were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate with our family and friends.
Jaime and her staff at Revolution Mill were absolutely fantastic! My husband and I got engaged in January 2017 and booked our venue in February 2017. We were recently married on Ju...
ly 28, 2018. Throughout our one-and-a-half-year engagement, Jaime kept in touch with us, often checking in, and helped us plan our special day. She was friendly, hospitable, and kind from the moment we inquired about getting married at the Colonnade at Revolution Mill.
As our engagement progressed, Jaime reminded us of items that needed to be complete, sent us our updated contract(s) as we made changes, and really focused on what was important to us on our wedding day. She provided us with multiple opportunities to attend tastings and allowed us to walk through the venue closer to our big day to get a feel of how things would work. Jaime answered all of my emails immediately and was so easy to correspond with.
Revolution Mill is an absolutely gorgeous venue. We used the ivory linens that were provided and added our own blush accents. Jaime even put us in contact with a company that we could rent linens and other items from for our special day. Any time that Jaime saw an opportunity to help us save money, she shared it with us so that we could decide whether to pursue the suggestion.
Our food was out of this world! We received so many compliments from our guests about our menu options. The staff was accommodating and made my husband and I feel like royalty on our wedding day. We wanted for nothing. The staff also treated our guests with respect and hospitality. Many of our guests complimented how friendly the staff was and how much they enjoyed our venue. We also received compliments about the venue’s beauty in general. It truly doesn’t get any better than Revolution Mill.
From start to finish, Jaime made the wedding planning process easy (and stress free). Whenever I was worried about something, she helped me through it and eased my mind. She and her staff were available on our wedding day from the moment that we woke up until the very last of our family and friends left.
Revolution Mill hosts several weddings throughout the year, sometimes multiple weddings during the same weekend. However, Jaime made me feel special and important. Whenever I spoke with her, she made me feel like I was the only bride that mattered. That is such an important quality for a venue manager to possess – as it is easy to shuffle your many brides along when you are so busy. Jaime never did that though. I always felt like she cared, like she listened, and like she wanted to make our day truly amazing!
If you are looking for the most gorgeous wedding venue in the triad area, Revolution Mill is it. You will not be disappointed with the venue, the staff, or Jaime! We cannot recommend Revolution Mill highly enough.
Thank you, Jaime, for making our day everything that we wanted it to be and more!

ith to plan the event. We had several food allergies to work around, but Jaime made it so easy to work around these and still have amazing food (we got so many compliments)! On the weekend of the wedding, Randy made sure everything went off without a hitch. The day could not have been more perfect or stress free thanks to the amazing staff of Revolution Mill and Peppermoon Catering. Thank you so much to everyone!

els and spacious, allowing guests to eat, drink, dance and mingle without feeling cramped. Our ceremony was in the courtyard that had a beautiful fountain, stone walkway, seasonal flowers and rod iron entrance gate. Jaime G. at Revolution Mill was a huge help in planning our wedding and ensuring the venue was exactly how we imagined!

is so attentive, responsible, honest and professional. She would answer calls and emails so promptly and always was there to give advice, whether is was venue related or not!
Revolution is up-front about pricing and is not going to nickle and dime you or set unrealistic expectations. Their pricing is also extremely fair and they have options for all budgets. Rev Mill hosted several "open houses" that they invite future brides to which are a great opportunity to see different options. They have local vendors come set up florals and decorations and allow you to taste a ton of different food options from Peppered Moon. It is so nice to be able to visit multiple times for ideas and inspiration.
I truly believe that the #1 key to success in a venue is management and Rev Mill has got a great management team. You can rest assured that RM will be completely prepared for your big day. Aside from the great team, the space is absolutely gorgeous. The fact that you can utilize all of the outside and inside space for the same price is amazing. The venue is so clean and beautiful but still a little industrial/rustic too. I loved that my wedding didn't have to just be one theme because of the diversity of the space. Ultimately, I could not recommend Revolution Mill more and am so happy that I chose this wedding venue.

, take a look around & test the food. We booked very shortly after that. The wedding planning process was a little over a year and Jaime was always there for me with reminders or to answer any questions I had. The day of the reception everything & everyone was in its place. The food was exceptional, staff was professional but fun. Overall absolutely amazing!

Mil Events Center has all the charm and historic aspects that we were looking for. It didn't require much decoration other than a few flowers here and there, the space really speaks for itself. My guests were blown away with how gorgeous and open the whole space was!
I work with Jaime daily at my job but that didn't keep Jaime from treating me like a true Bride. Jaime is so organized and helped us turn our dreams into a reality. My favorite part was her suggesting that my Dad and I enter the ceremony through the gates in the courtyard when the rest of our bridal party entered through a side entrance. It really was the ah-ha moment I had dreamed of!

got married in the heat of August and the event space was cool enough to keep the flowers alive and the cake icing from dripping.
Our photos turned out gorgeous because of the amazing landscape, exposed brick and beams and the outside water fountain and gate. Jamie was a huge help in scheduling and planning our perfect day. My husband and I got engaged in April and married in August and everything went as planned for the day of the wedding.

I'm sure we emailed her 1,000 times and she was always willing to make everything perfect for us. The actual wedding day blew us away. The staff was so professional, fun, and efficient. Our wedding was more magical than we could have ever imagined.

d everything was how I pictured it to be as the bride. Other than feeling rushed to leave the venue at the end of the night I thought it was the perfect place to have the wedding and ceremony. Jaime was great with all the last minute changes and made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend this place for all types of events!
The venue is amazing both inside and out! Everyone at the wedding was impressed and couldn't believe we found a location like this tucked away in the old cotton mill in Greensboro....
Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location. Jaime, the events coordinator, is wonderful to work with!

g was picture perfect. The Pepper Moon food was outstanding. The staff at RM and PM were hands on and made our celebration grand. From start to finish, we received quick turn around on questions and their suggestions to make our event even more special made us feel like they were a part of the family. Highly recommend Revolution Mill and Pepper Moon to those planning their next event. Thank you again for making our celebration so memorable.

cocktail hour with a pianist providing music (wonderful to already have two pianos on site!) followed by a seated dinner for about 130 and then an after-party in the lovely courtyard for about 210 guests. Summer heat and threatening weather moved the after-party indoors so we were so thankful to have chosen a venue and caterer for the event that allowed the flexibility for the last minute change of plans. I also loved that the facility was already set up with monitors and a sound system for the rehearsal dinner video and the venue itself is so beautiful and unique that we did not need to go overboard on flowers and decorating. Everyone, from the bartenders and security folks to the servers and chefs, seemed so eager to please and their initiative and efficiency went a long way to making the evening a big success. We could not have been more pleased with how smoothly everything ran and how gracious, professional, and CALM both Bethann and Jaime were throughout the planning process as well as during the event. Our guests raved about the quality of the food and the attractiveness of the venue and we could not have been more pleased. HIGHLY recommend both Pepper Moon and Revolution Mill!

y used our flowers as decorations. We had several compliments from guests on what a unique and beautiful space this is. The staff was very helpful and an ease to work with.
*Couple things to note: there is a "warming kitchen" but not a full kitchen. That did not cause any problem for our caterer for the food since they cooked it then brought it but we realized as we got closer to the wedding that there is not a dishwasher to wash glasses for drinks. We had to use up whatever glasses we rented from the caterer, then go to plastic. Not a huge deal, but just something to note. You also have to rent outdoor chairs from another source and are responsible for putting them out and putting them away afterwards. Again not a big deal but something to know ahead of time. Overall, really fantastic venue!!!

ent manager's a week before my wedding. Not a huge deal but the change in level of customer service was extremely different. My inital experience working with Revolution was excellent, while after the change in event manager's was not the same. Fortunately, the wedding was still the wedding of my dreams and everything went well. The new event managers need to work on their customer service skills.
I had my ceremony and reception here... everything was beautiful, the flowers outside were all in full bloom! Leidra was worked with me the whole time, she was fabulous.

ebrations. The only thing is depending on your budget and the number of attendees the seating inside can become quite tricky for more than 150 if you're having your wedding there. Also depending on your catering budget and linen, I found that my catering and venue charge there would have probably been comparable to Grandover. Grandover initially scared me away because they present a package figure instead of just a venue charge but I had committed to Revolution before I realized that I was going to spend practically the same amount.
I love the place but if you have a large wedding with a catering budget around $8000 then you should really consider them both before making your decision!
