Nestled upstairs sits the warm and inviting atmosphere of our Whiskey Room. Filled with history and tradition, this beautiful space can accommodate up to 50 people reception style.
When combined with our adjoining dining room, the Music Room, we can hold larger events for up to 200 people. This Music Room has large comfortable banquette seating, a fireplace, hardwood floors and audio/visual options to set the scene for a memorable event.
The upstairs level also consists of a Rooftop Patio, dramatic in its setting amongst Charlotte’s tallest skyscrapers.

Kai was super receptive to the idea and did everything in her power to make sure the room was set up that made sense for both portions of our wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process, she was super responsive and helpful and really just put me at ease. She was flexible and met up with me a few times to walk through the space and help me come up with decorating ideas and how to lay out the room. She just made me feel like we were in good hands from the get go. On the day of, she was so calming and reassuring and I knew everything would go off without a hitch because of her positive attitude and exceptional planning skills. Our wedding day was amazing and everyone had a blast and it was in big part because of Kai and all the other wonderful staff who helped out. I highly recommend Ri Ra for any private event, especially a wedding!

the bar and pub tables, plus a nice outside area. We met with Michelle about the space and that's where everything fell apart. Michelle was super flaky when we met and toured the space, not telling us much other than describing the rooms (i.e. this is the whisky room, look at all the whisky. This is the music room with posters from Irish concerts). It seemed as though she had no idea what she was doing. My fiance and I talked about it afterward, we loved the atmosphere and the space so much that we decided it was absolutely where we wanted our reception. We e-mailed Michelle (the method Michelle requested). We didn't hear from her for 2 weeks. We sent a second e-mail and another week went by with no response. I sent her a knot message (the original way that I contacted her). A week and a half later I got an e-mail response. She was excited we would use their space and would send us an event request through gather so we could secure the space. A month went by, 2 e-mails and a phone message and we still have not heard from her. It's so disappointing because we really had our hearts set on ri ra for the reception. In the end though it's probably a blessing because if this is what it's like just to reserve the space, I'd imagine it would be a disaster when it finally came down to having the reception there. Hopefully if you rent this space, you'll have a better experience than I did. I think it's also important to mention that the space, while gorgeous, is long and narrow. This makes it difficult to lay out for a reception and will require a little bit of creativity. Overall my suggestion is to steer clear of this venue unless they can find a new event planner.

amazing. The staff was attentive, the food was fabulous and the space is made for a true party. This is not todays traditional wedding venue and we appreciated that. We recommend anyone look into this venue because with its location right in downtown Charlotte and fabulous indoor/outdoor space can provide anyone with receptions that beats others!
