string quartet for our ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, and a full band during the reception. Every selection was incredible. They also accommodated a few customization requests we made, and worked with our cantor to accompany him during the ceremony. 100/100, cannot recommend them enough. Everyone was on the dance floor, and could not stop gushing about the band!

He also brought in a concert Harpist for our pre-reception event and coordinated everything very well. I strongly recommend Richard Brown Orchestra for your wedding and Reception. He is easy to work with and his pricing is reasonable.

They went above and beyond the call of duty, playing as a jazz quartet to welcome our guests outside, to learning a song for my dance with my father, to leading a procession to escort us out at the end of the reception.

Owner

Richard Brown enjoys a multi- faceted career as a professional musician, an educator and a businessman. He is now Professor Emeritus at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music. He is Principal Percussionist and orchestra personnel manager of both The Houston Grand Opera and Jackson Hole’s Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestras. At the GTMF he is also the Artistic Advisor. He leads the Richard Brown Orchestra, one of Houston's most popular dance bands that play large social galas, special events and weddings.
