Richard Brown and his band were AMAZING to work with. Our wedding was a reflection of our style, and with that we wanted mostly music from the 1940's through the 1960's. We got everything we asked for and more. Richard and his band provided the string quartet for our ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, and a full band during the reception. Every selection was incredible. They also accommodated a few customization requests we made, and worked with our cantor to accompany him during the ceremony. 100/100, cannot recommend them enough. Everyone was on the dance floor, and could not stop gushing about the band!

Richard Brown and his Orchestra and Band were sensational at our Wedding and Reception. My bride and I could not be more pleased in every way. We wanted many of our favorite love songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s and Richard actually arranged them for his band and for his orchestra in record time and to our heart's content. He even met our hectic schedule in coordinating band practices. He also brought in a concert Harpist for our pre-reception event and coordinated everything very well. I strongly recommend Richard Brown Orchestra for your wedding and Reception. He is easy to work with and his pricing is reasonable.

Richard Brown enjoys a multi- faceted career as a professional musician, an educator and a businessman. He is now Professor Emeritus at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music. He is Principal Percussionist and orchestra personnel manager of both The Houston Grand Opera and Jackson Hole’s Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestras. At the GTMF he is also the Artistic Advisor. He leads the Richard Brown Orchestra, one of Houston's most popular dance bands that play large social galas, special events and weddings.
